Access to shops , comfy rooms
Only stayed one night but overall service was fast and the room was cosy and nice.
Stayed one night never again very tiny rooms shower could only just move in it and I not a big fellow. Bed uncomfortable NO facilities to make a tea or coffee. NO mini bar at all we paid $250 for one night 2 adults. Breakfast was ok but for $25. for wife and I it could certainly be a lot better. Seriously for breakfast we would have been better off going to McDonald's or hungry jacks. If to praise them at all only thing positive about motel is the rooms were clean. Never stay again was first and last time
Ideal for a night room was small but did the job
Excellent location, walking distance to all the shops lots of good cafe and restaurant around. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
The only good thing is the location, close to CBD and quick walk to cafes and restaurants, the rest of it it’s a poor experience where they do the worst room service, no attention to detail. I’m aware that is a low cost hotel but I’ve been in better places with a real good service.
The hotel has a good location in the middle of the CBD, couple minutes walking to pubs, cafes and wharf. The room and bathroom are really small, I understand the price paid but I’ve been in better places. Our room had stain on the floor and after the housekeeping service they took our towels away and didn’t leave another one back, we had to go to the reception to ask for towels. The TV wasn’t working.
Very good location. Hotel is within walking distance to the Hobart waterfront, Salamanca market, cafes and restaurants. Pricing is also very reasonable and services from the reception area was very good. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would come back and stay here again if I am in Hobart.
A little dated but close to Skybus stop and waterfront at a reasonable price.
Pretty standard budget hotel. We experienced an issue with the on-site parking. There is a height restriction of 1.8m in the parking which we were not advised about (nor is it mentioned anywhere on the website!), which meant that we had to park our vehicle on the street. Happy to get a refund, but there was no apology from the staff which was disappointing.
The hotel’s location is perfect for single travelers with lots of eateries nearby, and the station of Skybus express to and from airport is just 1-2 minutes walk in Colin Street. The reception service is good and no problem for a late check out for me as my flight is in the evening.
The room is with large windows and nice view. Very spacious and relaxing!
Spacious room and very clean. Decoration is modern and location is convenient.
Service was good.Location is great.
The hotel is close to the CBD and all other places eg salamanca markets, and pier. In terms of hotel, clean, made bed daily, amenities , no pool , fitness is small, room small, wish was larger, walls are thin, could hear the next room. But all over good.
We booked a king room with early check-in for a holiday with our two kids. Unfortunately, when we arrived, our room wasn't ready. However, Max worked his magic and made it all come together, which we truly appreciated—especially when traveling with kids. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Highly recommend!
Convenient location good room amenities
The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to access key parts of the city. However, the room could use some updates— the carpet is worn, and the toilet seat and bathtub are stained, which could be replaced with minimal effort. As for the buffet breakfast, it's not worth the $20; you'd be better off grabbing some bread and spreads from Woolworths and preparing a simple meal in your room. On the bright side, the staff are friendly, which adds a positive touch to the overall experience.
Very comfortable accommodation - and even a bath tub! Only stayed one night but will choose to stay here longer in future visits
Staff were all very friendly. Small lift so it can sometimes take a few minutes until you can use it. Room was clean and comfortable. Small room but enough for a couple with one suitcase. Room lacked decoration. Aircon was quiet and worked well.

Nice convienant location Comfortable bed Would recommend
We travelled with family - interconnected rooms. Room was good size & beautiful views. Clean & very comfortable. TBH we were very surprised at how good the accommodation was for the price. Especially in December when everything in Hobart is so expensive.
Very pleasantly surprised. We booked a family room for family of 4. Interconnecting rooms are lovely with plenty of space & beautiful views. Great location & very good value. Will definitely book again.
The room and bathroom is small. The shower head is fixed which means difficult to control the water flow and cold water will flow out when you go inside. The WiFi connection is not stable. The only good thing is that the laundry facilities is good. Breakfast is normal with limited choice. The price is quite high and not value for money.
Extended my stay here for two nights. Great location, super helpful staff and tasty breakfast. Would stay again.
Decent hotel in a good location that is quiet but only a short walk from the action.Great and friendly desk service.Good, simple breakfast for a decent price.
Not value for money. Small room, wifi not working, not best service being a tfe member. Not value for money
Quite good
The room is very dusty and needs better clean and vacuum the carpet. Not good for people who are more sensitive or have allergies to dust.
My stay at Travelodge Hobart was restful and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed having a bath!
Lovely, friendly staff, good location and very clean and comfortable. Easy to find parking, 24hr reception is very handy
Clean and convenient.
Convenient location. Small room, no room for suitcases.
Overall good, was a bit dusty. Carpet was old and terrible, definitely needs changed. I also got a bit sick with allergies, I am assuming it’s from the carpet dust. Window views were nice, some rooms have microwave and a sink separate from the bathroom which was cool. But the main reason for my 3 stars is the internet, It sucked and didnt work most of the time I was there. There was no phone in the room to communicate with the reception either.
It was a small room although it had a great view. It was very clean but small. The bathroom was insanely tiny and I had to squeeze through the door to shut it. No where to put our toiletries and the shower was insanely tiny and there was no way to avoid water on the floor. I've never seen this before. If you are after comfort definitely not the place to stay. Too expensive for the facilities you get and I am not a fussy person usually. The staff were really amazing and incredibly friendly.
Great outlook from 601, could do with 2 stools as other person has to sit on bed. Carpets need a clean but bed soft and pillow fluffy. No bikkies :( Parking is $15 just next door Breakfast at reception $20 each Reception attendant very nice.
Nice pleasant stay
During my family’s stay, 2 fire alarms was off. Understand that its not the hotel faults that one of its customer triggered the alarm, it was still annoying to be woken up at 1.30am to be evacuated the building. Next is the horrid parking spaces, car park was so cramp and lots are small af. If you drive a SUV/MPV note that only a few slots can fit your car and if you were to be back after 7pm onwards its down to luck if you can even manage to get a parkable lot. You have to make several turning points to actually free your car from the tight spaces. Room was decently clean, execpt that its still dusty at the coffee counter and drawers above. Showers is small but ok for us as we are not average build. The body wash, hair conditioner and body wash in the shower is very watery like someone added water to it. Good location though.
The rooms are exceptionally small and good luck using the shower if you're fat. That said, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, there is plenty of parking, the facilities are good and the location is great.
Service is average. Room is small
Staff were nice and room was clean, I’d like to especially thank for Christine’s service! Really appreciated it
Manager is unreasonable. Massive L Rooms were extremely small and dirty.
The location is quite good. Room size is ok for 3 persons. There is no phone for you to call for any hotel service, anything you need will need to go straight to the reception for request.
Very cramped, leaky shower, no phone in room to reception
Nice Room, Location is Perfect, Friendly Staff
The toilet is very small & smelly. Our view was the aircon ledge :( I like the buffet’s drinks but hot chocolate have to add own amt of powde
Good decent hotel to stay. The breakfast doesn't have too many things but it's good enough.
Stayed here recently, hoping for a restful night before traveling and adventuring —silly me. Instead, I was treated to the delightful sounds of my neighbors through the walls, which, by the way, lasted all night long. Apparently, sleep isn’t on the amenities list. I didn’t even bother calling the staff, as I had a feeling this was just “part of the experience.” On the bright side, the location is great. You can walk to just about anything you need—except, apparently, peace and quiet. If you’re looking for a place to stay where sleep isn’t a priority, this might just be perfect for you.
For the price, this hotel is extremely good value. Rooms may be smallish, but they are clean & comfortable. The addition of a microwave with cutlery & cups is also great. My only issue was I found the room to be a little cool for the winter months & we couldn't change the temperature.
Pretty good
Everything went smoothly and the room was clean. When using the parking lot, please note that the clearance is only 1.8 meters.
My stay at this hotel was terrible. The room was incredibly small, and the bathroom was even worse—so cramped. Who installs a showerhead on the ceiling? It's completely impractical! The tap at the washbasin was faulty, causing the drain to close automatically from the water pressure. On top of that, the service was awful, and they charge extra for parking, lol security deposit for what? Seems like your clientele will come only to steal things from your hotel rather than staying. I will never book this hotel again.
Great rooms for the price would recommend
Would highly recommend this hotel. So close to everything in Hobart. Most of our tours picked us up from here.
Reasonable place to stay. Pros: Excellent staff- great service and very helpful. There is a gym if you want to fit in some cardio stuff (treadmills, cross-trainer-bike), a weight rack, and a yoga room. The rooms are well-serviced and clean. Good price, and within walking distance of restaurants, the waterfront, and Salamanca market. The buffet breakfast has a really good selection of things, and it's a bargain at $20 a pop. Cons: The walls are thin, and you can definitely hear people in their rooms. My room was poorly-lit, and there was no ceiling light in the main area. Rooms are pretty small. The TV had a Smart function but this was not available. My view wasn't great (roof with air-conditioning units). The shower pressure was pretty poor and occasionally it was difficult to get hot water. Apart from these, I did enjoy my stay at the Travelodge and would stay here again for the price and convenience factor.
Our room was a bit small, it was not so easy to place our two suitcases. Reasonably priced in a good central location
Had a fabulous stay greeted by friendly staff on arrival thank you Georgia. Room was quiet, clean, had a really comfy bed and awesome views. Breakfast also had a great variety to choose from. Excellent location within walking distance to City Centre, shops, dining and waterfront. Comfortable, conveniently located and budget friendly, would definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely stay, the location simply can’t be beaten. And the rooms are spacious especially considering how cheap it is. Had great service from Georgia who helped me check in very easily and was very helpful, and Shiksha whilst checking out. Definitely will stay here again when i come back to Hobart next time
Good accommodation
Good for overnight stay
We stayed here for 3 nights. My son my daughter and myself. Great location, reception staff very friendly. Our room was small and old, stained carpet, dirty microwave. Beds were clean though. Bathroom was a nightmare with old shower base, we all stubbed our toes or feet regularly as the base was so close to the toilet. Bathroom floor was never cleaned after our showers, dirty cups were not replaced I had to call front desk. They kept replacing things for two guests yet we were three. Had to call reception again. If I stay again I hope I get an updated room with new shower. Very unhappy with my room but I can't fault the staff. Hotel was also very noisy could hear people in other rooms and doors slamming. We stayed in room 513, maybe other rooms are better ?
Nice room, nice pub at hotel
Great price and great location. 5 mins walk to Salamanca Market, 7 min walk to Elizabeth Street Mall. Bus stop for Airport express just around the corner. The foyer and reception lounge area is really nice and modern. I had an entry level room so it was very small, Japanese business hotel size. It was recently renovated and modern. Huge TV, good air con and a little bar fridge. The hot water the shower took about 5 mins to get warm enough to get under. Mentioned it on checkout but wasn't bad enough to report for a 2 night stay. View wasn't spectacular (metal rooftop) but again this was a budget level room so wasn't expecting it to be amazing. Reception stored my bag before check in and after checkout which was greatly appreciated. Friendly staff.
Sammy at reception was an absolute delight and went far and beyond .Will be back again:)
Saved our vacation. Great customer service. Best location.
Loved the location. Lots of eateries around the area. And everywhere within the CBD is reachable by foot. Check in and out was fuss free. Staff were friendly. Bed was very comfy. Love the small gym, which consisted of some cardio machines, weights and a yoga room. Downside was the bathroom floor (in our room), which gets very wet after using the shower. As the hotel car park was full when we checked in, I wished I had tried to book earlier. Regardless, I managed to park along the street. 1P meter street parking (830am-6pm, Mon-Fri) can be found around the hotel.
Let me break it down for you: staying at this place is like going on a blind date. There are some good bits, but you're also left wondering if you missed the fine print in the contract of your sanity. First off, the staff are friendlier than a puppy at a park. The room? It's clean enough to perform surgery in and cozy like a bear hug. Plus, the little kitchenette is a cute touch. Now, onto the quirks. Did I miss the memo about the 'hidden fees' section of their website? You know, the one that says, 'Oh hey, by the way, the car park is extra'? Yeah, I must have! But hey, they didn't say you wouldn't have to pay, so I guess I'll take that one on the chin. Ouch. And speaking of surprises, our room with a queen and single bed is snugger than a pair of Spanx on Thanksgiving. Thank goodness hubby didn't tag along, or we'd be playing Twister just to get around. Those photos online? Taken with a lens so wide, NASA called to borrow it. Then there's the bathroom. Why is there a mini step that my toes keep finding like it's a toe-seeking missile? It's like the hotel's way of playing 'Operation' with my feet, and I'm losing every time. And let's not forget the 'free' internet. It's slower than a tortoise with a limp. I'd have better luck sending smoke signals. Seriously, in this day and age, having internet that's slower than a snail in a marathon is like offering a hotdog without the bun. Come on, folks, we're not living in the Stone Age! But hey, despite the surprises and the toe-stubbing antics, we're not planning to camp out in the room all day. It's an adventure, right? Just make sure you bring your own hotspot and a sense of humor. You'll need both.
I travel a lot and the Travelodge in hobart is an excellent hotel for business or pleasure. The rooms are always clean, staff are lovely, location is excellent and I always sleep well here. Highly recommend.
Everything was clean and exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel. The location was ideal and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Some room cleaners are great.
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The staff were good and the place adequate with location great. But my room was very noisy (316) to the point I couldn’t sleep. It was during Winterfest but even so when people stop talking there was still a lot of loud noises. Light in the room was only small lamps so unable to read.
Great location, clean lovely rooms, friendly staff
The room is spacious, and I especially like the large windows in the room. On top of that, the room is very clean! Would recommend it.
