Reasonably appointed meeting rooms. Great food service

I spent here one week for a business trip. Nice place with lots of different restaurants in the surroundings, direct train connection to Melbourne and a big shopping centre. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, Service is friendy but several things went a little bit confused, organisation could be improved :-)

We are so greatful to the Sage Motel 🙏 ♥️as we moved to Wonthaggi Last Thursday and then had to clean the old place & hand in the keys Mond so we booked 3 nights great service absolutely 💯 increddible in Room 28 on the 9th floor. We Love the Sage Motel the bed is so comfortable like our own bed we definetely Love staying here so very very happy best Motel ever ❤️

great hotel, opposite the station and above the shopping centre, making parking so easy. big comfy beds, and quiet to boot, would stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sage! The room was spacious, very clean and modern with everything we needed. The location is great - right in the heart of the shopping centre and across the road from the train station, however very quiet and peaceful in the room. The staff were very lovely and accommodating, and we greatly appreciated being able to check in slightly early as we had a wedding to attend. Overall a great stay!

I couldn't be happier with our stay. They are always Great value and have friendly service. rooms very modern and comfortable. Restaurant and staff were also excellent who were very attentive. This is hard to find at a very busy time of year bing Xmas, it felt like you were not away from home.

Hotel is just an overpriced money grab. The highlight is the location and the beds. Check-in was rough they couldn’t find our reservation and started giving us the information for another customer. The rooms are nice enough but certainly not worth the price asked. No microwaves, you need a keycard to keep the air-con on (other cards work, little tip), teeny tiny little fridge can fit like 6 drinks in it and if was set to the warmest setting. The chrome cast on the tv is notoriously difficult to use, we had to essentially reset the internet to the tv everyday by because it was still on the day before and could not connect. For the cost of the room it shouldn’t be this difficult. The walls have scuff marks, the shower is set up so strangely with a double hinged door that doesn’t actually open out. We thankfully were gifted this stay from family so I mostly feel sorry they paid so much for such a meh accommodation. I will also say this isn’t our first stay in Melbourne and it’s wild to me I can find accommodations with much more to offer for less in the city! The city should be way more expensive and less welcoming but honestly it’s the better choice.

Great place to go and enable Christmas shopping being on top of Eastland, we live about 1.5 hours away so making an over night stop makes it easier, plus this time we had been down the peninsula for a family Christmas so it was about halfway home another good reason to stop over

Stayed 7 nights due you house renovation. Great service, room was clean. Heaps of parking great location. More like 5 star than 4 star as rooms were newly renovated

This hotel is truly remarkable, from initial check in process with a warm welcome greeting. Throughout many years of travel, I can honestly say this hotel ticks all the boxes. Room was amazing, one of the most comfiest beds, ambient room and cleanliness is exceptional. My colleague and I stayed for 5 nights in seperate rooms and we both clarified the same, amazing! A special mention to Chrisie in the restaurant, our first night we were greeted with one of the most amazing, friendliest and accomodating warmest welcomes I have ever experienced, and yes, I travel a-lot. In fact we dined in the restaurant all 5 nights because of Chrisies service, it was not only great service, it was superior customer service! From both myself and my colleague, thankyou Chrissie for making our dining experience truly outstanding. We will most certainly be back to this amazing establishment.

Spent two nights at this wonderful place, and was really happy with everything about it. It was the perfect location, just near a shopping centre and across the road from the train station. The staff were truly amazing, helpful, polite, and friendly. The food however was a standout - easily the best food I have had at a hotel in Australia, ever.

Excellent location and great service. Good food and excellent bar. Entertaining clients are easy as you have good range of food and drink selection. The rooms are good size and very clean. Very warm ambience when you walk into the reception area and staff are very welcoming.

Stayed here twice now and love the room the bed is so comfy located right above eastlands shopping centre which handy. Easy car parking

Most comfortable big bed, clean room. Great service! Lobby smelt amazing! Staff very friendly and helpful. ||A bit steep in pricing but worth it. The parking was $10 a day, it could have been worse, it could have been better - free?? ||Great stay!

The location was perfect, the room was clean and the pillows were very comfortable.||||The staff were incredible and could not do enough for you. The bar made great cocktails.||||Breakfast was tasty with good coffee.||||Overall we had a lovely stay and will be back

Air conditioning was noisy even on low speed

Perfectly located above Eastland, The Sage offers quiet and comfortable accomodation. The ability to walk downstairs and into the shopping centre means convince, choice for meals and the ability to be continually entertained - if that's what you're looking for. Outer Eastern Melbourne is a beautiful part of Victoria with the Dandenongs and Yarra Valley a short drive away. Will definitely return.

Room was well maintained and clean, shower and toilet were of new design and of good quality. Some of the furniture in the room was worn, but nonetheless very clean.

A place to stay for work

The staff, especially Adrian, the manager, have gone out of their way the past two stays myself and my partner have had to be humiliating and make it hard for us at reception. This most recent stay was an issue with my credit card and another debit card as they’re my previous married name, yet all my other cards are my maiden name. So the receptionist at the time said they weren’t going to accept this and that I won’t be getting a refund on my hotel booking. I had to show him my banking app, login, get the mobile security code to prove it’s connected with my number, and then show him my entire banking history. I understand credit card fraud, but two have two cards in my previous name with all the same addresses and to have to go into my banking history is a bit far fetched. The next morning Adrian was going to take $50 for dry cleaning out of my bill because I got some fake tan on the pillows! NEVER IN MY LIFE have I had a hotel or motel complain about fake tan rubbing off. Mind you, they all use white sheets so I can’t help that, plus, I’m sure there are far worse thing to be rubbed off on those sheets than some fake tan. Adrian also treats me and my partner like we are up to something. The stay we had a few weeks back he kept saying “we’ll be checking your room in the morning”. We got there late, literally stayed probably 10 hours then left after we had a dinner, and this stay was for my birthday weekend. He has treated us both stays like we are suss and made us very uncomfortable. They seem to not communicate well with each other as I’ve been told two different things the last two stays in regards to bond/credit card holdings.

Good business hotel

Was in the area for a wedding and stayed at Sage for two Nights.Easy access to hotel from car park and very convenient to reach the shops. Rooms were very clean and filled with all the facilities.The front desk staff were very friendly and provided an exceptional service during our stay.Definitely recommend and would come back if we are in the area.

Great looking hotel, everything needed to be comfortable on business trip. Breakfast can be hit or miss but dinner/room service is solid.

Sage Hotel was very easy to find. Excellent service, comfortable rooms, and convenient location. You won't be disappointed.

I have stayed at this Hotel on many occasions . I seem to incur that same problem everytime . I request a King Delux Room. Sage has a practice of putting 2 single beds together joined with a sheet. I have explained to staff this is not only uncomfortable but dangerous. Today I check-in and guess what ?? My room has the 2 single beds joined together with a sheet . I CANNOT bring myself to going back down to Reception and having explain myself yet again . The process of being issued with new key passes which may or may not work , having to change rooms which may or may not have a proper king size bed , I just WILL NOT put myself through . I'm simple just going to pack my bag and go back home.

We wanted to explore east Melbourne for the weekend, but live far away in Geelong. We decided on the Sage Hotel and it was very convenient due to it's strategic location close to everything, especially the mall just down stairs. The staff really helpful and friendly, very easy and quick to check in. We are a family of 4, with an infant. Thanks to Oscar and Sari who helped us with extras like a cot, and to Adrian for his great service and the free room upgrade. We certainly didn't expect that. I will definitely come back and stay again next time. Very great experience, I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay somewhere close to the mall and train station.

Very nice bar area and conference facilities

Newish hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable. In room dining options are very limited on the weekends. The hotel is part of the Eastland shopping mall, which is great for dining and shopping.

Absolutely awful customer service, receptionist was very rude and no “ thanks, please “ in any of the conversations, slammed credit card on the table, definitely not worth $220 per night.

This is a review of Sage Hotel Event Spaces (specifically the conference room). The area is quite nice and the lounge area is actually quite nice (resembles a modern library). The catering was fairly poor though; I do not recommend any of the Asian dishes (except the fried Tempura, that was alright) as part of their catering menu. Also, the conference area is on level 5 and there's only 2 lifts there so having shuffling 100+ guests out of the venue is a bit of a nightmare. The location is convenient and if you host your event after 6PM, parking at Eastland is free (opposed to limited to 3 hours)

Great place to meet up with friends for a drink. Pleasant atmosphere, nice decor. We were just a little disappointed with the barman who made our drinks. We ordered Margherita which on the menu said Cointreau however we noticed him using Triple Sec and he said they were both the same thing......not impressed because they are definitely not.

It's officially been a week since our wedding, and we decided to spend 2x nights at Sage Hotel (Ringwood). We can't describe how much we loved our time at Sage Hotel, and it's all thanks to the fantastic staff that we had the honour of meeting! We had booked our hotel room a week before the wedding, with Sophia at the reception - she was absolutely lovely from the get-go! She helped us reserve their Executive King room, and congratulated us for our upcoming wedding! We were thrilled when we saw her again at the lobby during our stay at Sage~ she warmly greeted us and checked in to make sure we were well-looked after. She's so gorgeous and made our stay memorable <3 Unfortunately we can't recall the lovely man who checked us in at the hotel, but they were so welcoming and kindly assisted us with parking and navigating to our reserved room! We really appreciated them that evening, esp as it was already past midnight and we were tired from our wedding celebrations (: We also had breakfast at Partake restaurant on our last morning, and it was delicious and tasty! We are grateful to the chefs and waitresses for their services, and it completed our last day at Sage perfectly (: To whoever else we met at the hotel, we had consistently received quality services and we are thankful to Sage Hotel Ringwood for the great team you have! Not to mention, the cleanliness and spotless room, spacious bathroom, gorgeous views from our window esp during sunrise + sunset, and we loved the beautiful yet simple décor~ we wish you all the best and will happily recommend you to our friends and family. Front of house service staff not willing to assist in helping physically and just awanting to move you on to your room with directions. Not very attentive at picking up on visitors' needs and assisting and rather talking amongst themselves. Happy hour is not so happy (cheap), and the views from the rooms (any windows) are cloaked in diamond stickers ( in line with the theme of the building) on all the windows, preventing a clear view which drives you nuts! And you can't open a window! Pay the little extra for the sebel across the road

I get the accessable rooms when I stay here with clients as the bathroom is perfect very large and the bars are both left or right , you just need to ask, the rooms are spacious and the staff are very accommodating with a 2pm cancellation. They have a couple of conference rooms and a big shared office space and a nice bar for drinks if the mood suits. Being located at Eastland shopping center is handy as well. The only drawback is no toaster in room. The Restaurant is quite good with nice food no vegan options though sadly. I the price per night is good value and I highly recommend Sage as a place to stay . Kevin Kncassist

Rooms weren't cleaned very well rubbish on floor, dusty surfaces hand prints on wi dows,hand prints on desk, used unclean coffee pod machine really need to spend more time on cleaning rooms .

Easy and convenient hotel to stay at. Great for shopping and food nearby in the shopping centre. Highly recommend the hotel.

Great clean rooms

Wegens zaken een week verbleven in dit hotel, het hotel ligt tegenover een station waardoor je ook snel naar Melbourne kunt en ligt naast groot winkelcentrum met ruime keuze om te eten. ||Kamer was ruim en werd goed schoongehouden, maar je hebt ook de keuze om af en toe het schoonmaken over te slaan, naast dat dit goed is voor het milieu krijg je zelfs $10 korting per nacht, dus win-win. ||Receptie vriendelijk, helaas niet altijd bezet en indien je geen Australisch telefoonnummer hebt zijn ze lastig te bereiken, een telefoon, bel of intercom op de receptie zou voor die gevallen wel gemakkelijk zijn.||Restaurant in het hotel verzorgt ook prima eten.

Goof enough

I don't know what circle of hell the restaurant at the Sage hotel in Ringwood is but we were in it this evening. The staff ate lovely, the food is flacid and disappointing. Overpriced does not begin to cover it. I had the English" fish and chips. If what they mean is that they taste of disappointment and forgotten dreams of empire then it's an accurate description. If they are implying it's of an English style....how? My partner had the Ceaser Salad. Et tu brute? Yes et tu."

Great stay at Sage. Soundproofing is fabulous, beds super comfy. Room had all we needed. 11am check out was great.

Great location close to a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Room is quite large and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Nice place to stay.. Does not cater for ANY smoking areas. Do NOT under any circumstances use the stairs. They are emergency exits only. I opened a door to the stairway and the doors locked behind me. Bashed pon door. No answer. No security cameras or alarm. Could have been there all night and noone would know I was there. After 30 minutes tried doors on all levels. No way to get out. Finally went down 9 flights and found exit to carpark. Very scary. Stairs not clearly marked as emergency exits. Too easy for a child to open and get locked in. Not good enough.

Excellent position and wonderful decor are just the start - welcoming staff and beautifully presented rooms, topped with a lovely on site restaurant top it all off. Highly recommended location out of the city but with all the trimmings.

Absolutely beautiful. the service was incredibly nice and polite. Duty Manager Adrian was amazing and helped us with everything. It was also my daughters birthday and the hotel provided us with a wonderful voucher. The staff was lovely, the food was nice, bar atmosphere was beautiful and set out wonderfully. Overall had a wonderful stay and will definitely be staying again.
