On behalf of my family I would like to thank the staff at Sandown Regency for their hospitality. They gave us a home away from home. The rooms were consistently clean and comfortable. The linen and furnishings were all brand new and laundered daily. The pool area was well maintained and the pool was pristine. For the price point, having a poolside balcony with garden view is unmatched in the area. The venue provides delicious food and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Several times they went above and beyond to provide exceptional service; for these reasons I can recommend the Regency if you are on a budget but would like a safe, comfortable place to stay.

Deceitful pictures & false advertising The pool has sludge & droppings like faeces inside the pool certainly not fit for any human to swim in Room was not clean when we checked in; room had dirty clothes & rubbish left from the previous tenant- bed unmade & smelly Door lock for the bathroom was broken as well, the carpets had cigarette burns & something sticky like gum that hadn't been cleaned up Staff hardly spoke & understood English, not one single member of staff was helpful they all seemed very rude & unconcerned 🙄 Parking was limited, driveway covered in broken glass, rubbish & evidence of drug usage *needle covers & baggies* Overall the hotel was very run down & a rip off for what we got; even the air conditioning unit was probably 30yrs old (i was surprised it worked) Certainly not going to be recommended Room 20 - checked out 6th of January You have my number feel free to call if you have an issue with my review

If you are expecting service then you are at the wrong place, didn't get a room elsewhere had no choice wouldn't be returning here.

Worst place I have ever stayed. Wifi didn't work. Only 1 pool. Cigarette butts everywhere. Shower couldn't stay on hinge.. Turned it on and it fell onto the ground. Shower wateralso went well over the floor. Carpet was stained and disgusting. Fly screen had a hole in it. We booked into another hotel the day after we got there. When we returned to collect our things.. Beds were still unmade. Towels were wet and rubbish/dirty dishesstill in the room. Seriously how does this hotel stay on Expedia? The photos lied. The only saving grace was the sheets were clean.

The staff were absolutely lovely, and met my needs immediately. But either they take off the photos or they raise the standard of the hotel focusing first on cleanliness and hygiene. The pictures are deceptive and misleading. If you are not phased by run down motel style accommodation and more concerned about money you'll be fine here.

It was worth the money and I enjoyed it a lot and it was very warm. The pool looked beautiful. However the room was older styled. They also gave us a late check out which was brilliant.

The room was really clean and set up well. I loved the stay and it I'd worth the money. My only concern is the fire alarms looked broken. Other than that the place was nice and the staff were friendly.

This would have to be the worst place I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at a lot of places. Where do I start.. there is *chewing gum on the bed head * blood splatter on the walls and on the bar fridge handle *there is a collection of im assuming used cigarette lighters in the draw … of a smoke free establishment * there is mouldy pizza bases in the next draw * there is a 30cm gap under the curtains with glass windows and door to a semi balcony that people in the pool area can see up on to the double bed . And they have the nerve to demand a security bond !!! I think it should be that they pay there customers a security bond and we return it once we leave and a full set of blood tests done and get the all clear that we done have any diseases Disappointed and feeling quite nauseous at the moment. We checked in at closing time and there is nothing else around if I would be demanding a refund . I might still go and sleep in my vehicle yet

Absolute terrible, would not recommend l. There was banging doors, people screaming, the room a mess with blood on the hair in the shower sheets dirty basin was cracked basin, water leeks out the bottom of the shower, broken bits under the fridge and a smell that makes you feel sick. Would not come here even if they paid me

Disgusting rooms, smell like cigarette, beds are dirty, c*m stains on floor and bed base, crappy wifi, made us pay $110 for a standard room with no fridge when their usually $100 with a fridge, Sheets, pillows & blankets smell like cigarette, mold on mattress

No maintance to the rooms attempted at all, cracks in tiles, sink literally falling out of the bench, walls all dirty, appliances removed and cords left in the walls, would not stay here again not to mention having to hip and shoulder the door to open, bathroom door wouldn't properly shut and ac near on to noisy to sleep with and on the way out noticed the bottom of the door is being held by duct tape

Worst motel my wife and I have ever been to in Australia. You will wonder if you're in Noble Park or in some third world country motel. Dirty as anything, we had to tell them to change the bedsheets and blankets as it was dirty. The spa is dirty and old and not operational. The shower heads are old and in need of repair. We had to demand for clean towels. Also, they had double booked our room and for the first night, we had to stay in another room. The location is perfect and so is the attached restaurant but the motel itself for stay is pathetic. The management has changed sometime back and the Indian management has not invested a dime in keeping up the place up to an acceptable standard. I'm only giving 1 star because I can't put in a review without it. All the photos such as the spa etc are all a sham as they were taken over 8 years ago. Please don't stay here as you'd definitely regret it and you can stay at accommodations closer to this place for a competitive price if not less.

Just The room is look different from the picture.

Our room was at the back of the property looking out to the pool, and away from the highway.|Would have been nice to sit on the verandah but the door is welded shut. As a result there isn’t good circulation so the room smells, like a combo of dust and mould.|The power socket to the tv wasn’t working so after changing plugs we were left with one power socket in the whole room.|Only 1 towel in the room on arrival. Reception took ages to find a 2nd for me, as though they were running short. Towel quality was excellent but no bath mat or face flannels. Bathroom was more updated than most of the room but vanity bowl had major cracks and toilet set misfitting.|Beds appear to be the originals. Room seems dirty and unloved.

A lot to improve, the service has to improve.

Was given a room not suitable for staying in. Travelling as single women, i felt very unsafe. Given another room but only can describe as needed a new bed and clean. Had to buy a doona because the bed only had a very old single blanket on queen bed

Absolutely disgusting place to stay I got a room flee infested they were literally jumping all over my self and my son. The sheets had not been changed the toilet and shower were disgusting. I went and complained at 9 o'clock at night and was told if I don't like it I can leave. I ended up waiting at the front for 3 hours for a family member to pick us up. I would rather sleep on the street then this disgrace of a motel.

Weve visited this restaurent many times. Great food and good service. They host private functions as well. You can book ground floor or first floor hall for a private function. They also hosts buffet style lunch and dinners for an affordable rate. Live music by our friendly local Elvis". They also cater for takeaways all 7 days. Weve purchased takeaways many times. This include Sti Lankan street food and rice and curry options."

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Convenient and close to where the function I was attending. Nice and simple no issues.

Great location and friendly accommodating staff. The room had everything I needed ..Android tv , nice bathroom clean towels and sheets .. had a super comfy bed and got a great nughts sleep. Is reasonably priced accommodation and has the convenience of the restaurant on-site which had delicious authentic South Asian cuisine. :))

Disgusting and dirty. Paid for a family room only to be swapped into a studio room. (Family of 4) all beds in one room and no kitchen. Everything was dirty. Shower, seating, walls, doors. Room slept 6 but only 3 glasses and 3 cups and 3 seats to the table. The seats were stained and had sticky arms. The fridge door was filthy and the heating/ aircon leaked water everywhere at the front door. When you open the wet front door water would go all over the tiles and drip on your head. Floor was sticky and made sticky noises when walked on. Worst experience ever. At 3pm the next day we had to ask if there was meant to be some type of housekeeping. The wall and cupboard doors had some kind of brown smeared on them and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was rank. Would not recommend no matter how desperate you are. Sleep in your car!!!

If junkies, broken beds and mould are your thing, then this is the place for you. If not, steer clear. Photos show what the accomodation looked like 2 decades ago. Very different story now. Staff were friendly but house keeping will be knocking down your door at 8am to give you fresh towels. Don’t expect a sleep in on night shift.

Between the party in the function room going past midnight, the group of people partying on their balcony and the dog barking in one of the rooms, getting a good sleep was not going to happen here. Cleaning is obviously not a thing that happens. Dirty laundry was left in cupboards. Walls were filthy. Stains and burn marks on the carpet and blanket. Over all just not a good experience. We wouldn’t stay here again if they paid us.

My recent stay at Sandown Regency Motor Inn Hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon entering the room, I was greeted by a nauseating odor that seemed to emanate from the stained blanket on the bed. The table was littered with remnants of curry, indicating a lack of cleanliness and attention to detail by the housekeeping staff. Adding to the discomfort, the fridge in the room was broken and contained someone else’s clothes, which only added to the feeling of unhygienic conditions. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the staff, there was little effort made to rectify the situation. It’s clear this Hotel fails to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and hospitality, and I would strongly advise against booking a stay here.

Long time customer always an experience....

Well what can I say. You need to experience this for yourself, bear in mind you WILL be disappointed. Disgustingly dirty rooms, ants, holes in walls, bullet holes in windows, drugs, etc. I could go on but I won’t because I don’t have the time or want to remember my stay. Do yourself a favour and don’t book this accommodation.

The rooms looked nothing like advertised on website, only sheets and a blanket and 1 pillow each. Walls were filthy, holes in them, there was door in bedroom that connected to room next door. No phone in room, air conditioning was so old that we were scared to turn it on. Bathroom was filthy sink was covered in some sort of sealant, shower was so low that I had to bend over backwards just to rinse my hair, tiles were off, or missing, silicone holding shower glass on by a thread. Service was not great, they didn't even have our booking in computer. Definitely would not recommend.

DONT NOT STAY HERE Please read other reviews as well. This place is so bad Hair on the sink,bath. Crap on most walls, names burned into the wood. Cords hanging out of the wall, no smoke alarms,hole in the wall. left a day early gaves us a refund

They played dance music in function room till 11pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, they didn't have WiFi, and they ran out of car parks. But the room was big, and I only found 1 weird bug in the bathroom.

Rooms are OK but not clean enough.

Overall great holiday.

If I could give this negative stars I would, this place is absolutely feral. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since it was built, not to mention the cockroach infestation. I never went to the restaurant but if there’s cockroaches in the rooms I would NOT trust that food.

Clean and comfortable

Reception was incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional My boss made the booking online and when it came to checking in they tried to charge me on the spot (Asked for his credit card details but never actually charged it) I wouldn't put a dog in these rooms, they smelt of mold and look like they'd never be cleaned Bedding was filthy and unsatisfactory To top it all off an abundance of questionable people having domestic arguments and wandering around drunk Unsafe and unsanitary After reading other reviews on this place Should be closed down !!!!

This place is absolutely foul. First greeted with a discusting stink in the air that after a few minutes gave me a headache. The place is filthy, locks are broken, this place should be shut down immediately! Wait there's more...currently my husband is calling these scum bags because we were charged $143 when the bill was $90 bucks. If you have a family please don't go to this place. It's dangerous. Authorities should be alerted. You are way better to sleep in your car for a night.

I would recommend this hotel highly. It's comfy quiet and very friendly. Nice swimming pool. Gotta stay here. The food at restaurant you gotta try. The best.

The worst experience we’ve encountered, rooms were so filthy& dirty and so was the outside and the smell in the rooms was horribly awful and terrible and furnitures were so outdated and not safe,curtains,bedsheets had disgusting smell and stains on it and bedsides seems to be used as astray and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY HUMAN TO BE IN SUCH FILTHY,DIRTY,DISGUSTING PLACE ESPECIALLY CHILDREN

Was horrible. Travelling with my baby.. the rooms were decent sized but that's the only positive thing. The rooms are no equipped properly at all. I was kept up most of the night due to junkies fighting slamming doors and screaming quite close to my room was scary for me and my child. Was rushed into check out way before it was time. Did tell reception of my experience didn't seem to care.

Absolutely horrible- how this can be 3 stars is beyond me. ZERO stars. Broken down. Filthy dirty and in DESPERATE need of repairs. Sorry but you shouldn't be charging people to stay there.

Stayed for 4nights, rooms were okay, got dirty blankets, forgot my overcoat which I didn’t got, the reception says everytime they gonna call me in 5mins and kept waiting for their call. Complained about the wifi service’s 5times, never sorted it out. Bad service

Stayed here twice. First stay was great. Nice clean room. Pleasent experience. Second stay was a danger for my safety as i had someone attempt to break into my room at 3am while i was sleeping. Left a note for management team to investigate. No one called me to address this. I called mamagement later in the day was just told Police.was informed. Was expecting a call back. Was hoping for a follow up. Mamagement didnt show any concern to call back again. The glass sliding doors are not safe on the pool side entrance and it seems thieves can break in easily. Will not be back again. Scary experience. Fear for my safety.

Hassle free check-in,good size room, swimming pool access from room and park your car outside the door, good experience 🙂
