GAMR LASER TAG & VR

I’ve been to GAMR a couple of times. The venue is amazing and the staff are caring and kind from the get go. The main purpose is laser tag here however they have some many other things if you wanted to try something new from VR to video games for the kids to arcade machines. I’ll be coming back for sure and it is my go to place for gaming. Keep up the good work GAMRers

GAMR hosted our team night out with 35 or so of us. The huge variety of activities on offer was incredible. They were all amazing hosts as well and they never made us feel like a nuisance whenever we asked questions or for their help with the machines. We had so many games of Laser Tag, Smash room and VR games. Our team thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we will no doubt consider returning for our next staff night out Thanks again 😀

So I had a party last week .... and the host was tyler. My review will follow a particular structure. Advantages = - scrumptious hot dogs and chips, Wayne's burgers were amazing, nice Vb beer , and very fairly priced. Love the chips ! Amazing service all round, from the perfect team. Disadvantages = absolutely none, other than the bowling logo outside which is not showcasing this business , a separate unsuccessful business downstairs. Thanks GAMR.

Kids had a blast here! Super helpful staff and great games to play. Parents could watch them from far through cameras when they play laser tag. For VR it’s the same - parents or guardians can see what the child see on their headsets. Many consoles both free and for tokens that can be purchased on premise.

Just got back from the Halloween laser tag. It was awesome!!!! The characters wandering around the floor were genuinely scary. So much so that my daughter and wife spent the first 5 minutes huddled in a corner. We have been a few times now and the customer service has always been exceptional. Especially Tyler who continually goes above and beyond to make the experience the best it could possibly be. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Great place for family and friends to have fun and enjoy. I absolutely love the laser tag, so exciting! The owner Tyler is very friendly and kind.

GAMR is undoubtedly our favourite hang out for the kids and the parents. Whether it be a sneaky mid week visit or a birthday party (i have lost count of how many birthday parties we have had here!), it is our go to for every occasion (even the made up ones). With fun for the whole family, a great well priced menu and a bar for the adults it's a no brainer for our crew. Family includes: 8yo, 10yo, 18yo, 21yo, mum and grandma plus all the stragglers we bring along with us. We have been frequenting GAMR since Tyler, Mel and the crew took over and we love them <3

My son had his laser tag party here today, I want to thank Gamr for their amazing venue and service. Everyone, especially the birthday boy, had such a fantastic day. It was so convenient having the cafe there so we could also order yummy food for adults throughout the party. Thank you so much again!

We held our son's birthday party and it was such a fun, easy and cost effective option. Right from booking all the way through to the payment on the night, nothing was too hard or too much for the staff. The lovely guys working on the laser tag desk were super helpful, cruisey and understanding. The food was a good option, more than enough - most kids didn't finish the whole bowl - with cordial and water for drinks. They even provide lollybags!!! I love that they have so many fun games to play as well, some free games which was awesome for the little brothers who were there waiting for their siblings.

The Staff at Gamr are amazing. Thank you so much for opening especially for our Fliwerdale Youth Group. The kids love coming. Yummy coffee and fod too.

Fantastic place for kids. Even young teens who love video games will enjoy all out lazer tag in a purpose built maze. They have video games too, and the canteen/snack bar is more like a cafe, with great coffee and food options. Great place for a birthday party!!!

Friendly and helpful staff. We made last minute booking due to the rain that we cannot go outdoor for my son's birthday party. We have a group of 6 kids. My son and his friends enjoyed the laser game. We have three games and only cost $26, not expensive at all. They also served hot and budget food. We will definitely go again for fun!

Great place to chill and play ganes with your mates

I came into lasertag on the 21/08 at arround 5pm. I came to play lasertag and get off the couch to improve my cardio fitness. I was nicely greeted by a beautiful lady who was the same age as me , and as well as a young striking chap of the name of Tyler. He is a very friendly fellow who deeply cares for his customers and they clearly love him too. Everyone was smiling , laughing and having fun. This was amazing to see as I was already so excited to play lasertag yesterday night. The prices were very very good compared to darkzone in box hill. It was just a well run place with everyone helping and meeting everyone's needs. A very refreshing experience and I can say that I will be back both Wednesday and Friday as I aim to improve my fitness and get better at lazertag .. They also have amazing games to check out a big variety of up to 70 arcades. Really awesome. I enjoyed my party pies and chips and scoffed them as they were tasty and delicious, like my wife ! Great place

Son had an absolute ball with Laser Tag and the VR games. He already wants to come back, one of the guys was super helpful and very patient with my 6 year old. Definitely will come back even thinking a party here might be on the cards cheers guys

We often meet here with friends bringing all the kids and everytime without fail the staff are amazing and go above and beyond! The food is really well priced. And it's a day my kids always look forward to and have an amazing time. It's so great that there are games the kids can play for free once all their tokens have run out. The laser tag is always fun. The kids have enjoyed the VR and when you recently run the 5 year party celebration for the venue the kids had an absolute blast!!! We can't wait for the next event as we will certainly be there. Honestly us parent slove it just as much because we have a coffee in peace 🤣 - Thanks Again!

Great venue. Staff are very helpful and the food is tasty and good value. Kid loves the VR but boardgames and DnD are my favourite! (Just went again tonight and it's still amazing, so glad to see how good it is still!)

This is one of my daughters (and mine!) fav place to go. Staff are amazing, so friendly, kind and helpful. Prices are affordable and so many different activities for the kids to enoy. 5 stars doesn't seem enough! I highly recommend. We have also had a bday party here and it was so much fun, great value for money.

A wonderful birthday experience! Highly recommend for kids parties, they were flexible and easy going. I didn’t need to worry about a thing. All the staff there this morning were genuinely warm and personable. They were great with the kids who were only small 5-6 year olds. We’ll be back! Thank you.

This review is mainly for the arcade side of GAMR. (as that is why i mostly go there for) So most of the other area like lazer tag, VR and the smash room won;t be in this. Overall this is a fantastic little arcade. From RAMBO, Initial D Stage 3 & DDR X, this has the potential for being the best little arcade in the area. The staff are excellent to say the least. probably one of the best staff at an arcade hands down. And the price is fantastic! The main drawback that i considered is the general condition and maintenance of the cab. Like with the DDR X cab that they brought back, for lower levels its fine but for more harder levels it;s just not playable. The dance pad needs some work to get up up to scratch. But for the price per play, i cannot complain. Overall It;s Fantastic Little Arcade. If they can maintain the machines. ill come back everyday after work.

While it was great for gaming, because of a disability I could not go up the stairs to be with my child as they were part of a birthday party. To me, this was a great disappointment on behalf of the business.

My son had his 7th birthday here. The kids had a ball and the staff were extremely accommodating. I Highly recommend Gamr in Chirnside

Our family absolutely love GAMR. All of the staff are wonderful however Tyler goes above and beyond for his customers and shows a genuine interest in them which is why we always keep coming back. Tyler has also shown great compassion to one of our kids when they found laser tag a little bit overwhelming. Due to his kind nature and willingness to help them through, they now love laser tag!

Very old and dirty. Lots of things did not work properly. Eg many guns were broken and barely held together with tape. Yukky place.

Went to laser tag for my birthday with my adult children and had the best time. Had never played before, so much fun! Thanks to Tyler for a great day.

GAMR is one of the best spots in all of Melbourne for a party, to take your kids, or a date! Tyler is an amazing working who puts a lot of time and care into the place to make it fresh and exciting! The new ‘Wreck Room’ looks like awesome fun, my support kid and I are always keen to play some games in VR, some arcade, and pool. Great coffee’s, food and drinks. 10/10 experience.

Staff are very helpful and stress free

Had my sons 8th birthday here and it was so much fun. Amazing customer service and lots of fun. The only downside was the air con not on high enough and so it was very hot after running around or sitting in the bar area. But I highly recommend this place for your party. Y ou won't be disapointed! Thanks Gamr team .

There's a NEW addition to GAMR! We were happy to discover their new WRECK ROOM!! It's the most fun you can have wrecking stuff! It is such a fun experience and it's so great that you don't have to go all the way to the city for something like this. You are suited up in protective gear, given crates filled with glass bottles, jars, plates, ceramics.... and an array of bats, crow bars, hammers and axes at your disposal to get whatever it is out of your system in a safe and fun environment! You can also connect your phone to their speakers and wreck stuff to your own music! You can be a creative as you want and line up bottles to smash or simply Hulk-smash anything into smithereens. For a little extra, you can even smash up a tv or other appliances. It's definitely a must-do experience and the staff is so lovely, enthusiastic and friendly! Highly highly recommend it!

Best place to have a kids party. (You get laser tag, free games, food, icecream cake, a table set up!) You get a lot of bang for your buck. The staff are extremely accomodating AND they have alcohol :)

Went to the halloween laser tag experience and it was incredible! Pennywise the clown was amazing and was a great place to bring friends to experience a live actor maze.

Such a great place to have a party, super friendly and accommodating staff, good vibes and lots to do at reasonable prices. Feels local and independent much better than more structured and rip-offy chain offerings from alternative composites. Nice job

Hey guys we would just like to thank the guys at gamr laser tag in chirnside park for the amazing hospitality,we just had our boys birthday get together there and thought we would have a go at laser tag and sing happy birthday,not only did they provide us a corner of the venue to do so but the amazing human being behind the counter also gave eight hyperactive boys free game tokens free laser tag session and even gave a couple of the boys an opportunity to trade some Pokemon cards that he has obviously collected to decorate the back walls.this amazing business spent more cash keeping the boys entertained than we could have unfortunately been able to match ,we need these local hangouts for our kids to learn social behavior which is something we are losing to technology.if your local and want to kill an hour or so go and throw a few bucks over there counter ,half the arcade is free anyway and to throw what ever gold or silver you have in your pocket,your still saving whan you think of how much it cost to take one kid to timezones for half an hour, my only regret is that amongst all the chaos i didnt get this amazing mans name ,but for my partner myself and eight boys he will always be known as super man ,we cant thank you enough and hope your there for generations to come , you are absolute class and deserve what ever it is you are aiming to achieve in your venture, WE NEED THESE LOCAL BUSINESSES IN OUR COMMUNITY, we need to get right behind them and give them what little we can . Whether you're wanting to have a birthday party here or just a fun time, nowhere will beat Gamr Chirnside. What makes this place so great is not only the facilities but the staff as well. The customer service is excellent. My daughter had her 12th birthday playing Laser Tag with 10 friends here which was great fun but there are also free games in the arcade to play afterwards! Tyler who looked after us was beyond amazing and also great with the kids. Seriously it's been years since I've experienced such excellent customer service. Melissa was so wonderful too, great coffee, nothing was too much trouble and both of them went above and beyond. Thank you guys for a wonderful time, can't wait to come back!

What an epic experience! For kids and parents alike. We held a GAMR party for our child and it was a dream come true. So much fun for the kids and zero stress for parents. The staff were next level helpful and accomodating. Highly recommend this venue!!

It was very busy on Sunday afternoon, and it was a little bit under lit. There were a number of birthday party groups that seemed to dominate proceedings, but our grandkids had a great time. It was very expensive

Played laser tag for hours and still craving for more

Asher was a very good laser tag instructor, helping the people that hadn’t played before and answering all of our questions. We think this is a good place to bring family and friends of any age.

Great entertainment venue for young children to adults, something for everyone. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. The venue offers Virtual Reality, laser tag and gaming machines. Kids really enjoyed their time here. Pricing for food, drinks and entertainment was very reasonable. Look forward to going back soon

It's an amazing place. Kids always have so much fun here, and easy and chill for the adults. Very very reasonably priced activities. Lovely staff and super helpful and patient. Food is pretty good and very reasonably priced as well. It's licenced 🥂, has a large seating area, couches, even some free games like pool & table tenis. Honestly, you can't go wrong.

My friend had a 16th b day party here and we played karaoke and lazer tag it was so fun!! Amy helped us heaps so we love her💗

Really poor experience. Surprised my daughter to a VR session (not cheap). Glass were dirty and smudged to start. Then the session end 10 mins early due to crashing!! When informed about the session, I was address rudely and very abruptly by the teenager staff member!! What a joke and play to never go again!!

Amazing parmas at a decent price.

Best laser tag around and for an unbeatable price. Venue was clean and nice, and the staff (especially Tyler) were extremely helpful and looked like the enjoyed working there, which took the experience to a whole extra level. Can’t recommend this place enough, and can’t wait to go back!! 🤠

We held our Presentation Function here for the Seville Burras Cricket Club, 3 age groups U/10, U/12, U/14 all the participants loved the laser tag and the free arcade options were great. (For note there are also paid Arcade options, not all games are free). Food was delivered promptly when the group was ready, staff checked in and were accommodating to our large group requests, price point was great too, we paid $27 per head for x2 games of laser tag, food, soft drink also a lolly bag to take home. Would recommend to Sporting Clubs looking for something different for junior team presentations or awards.

Really fun place with free arcade games whilst you wait for your laser tag game to start. There is a cafe with boardgames as well. The laser games are really well done, with a lot of room to move around/hide. Very well priced with deals for more games. Any less than 2 games isn't satisfying! Wish we did 3! You can vs other people that come along, or vs each other if you have it to yourself.

Good laser tag set up and really good customer service

I have found the staff at GAMR to be exceptional with their customer service. Nothing is too much trouble. We are regulars and my son is so comfortable in this environment thanks to the connections he has developed with the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. There are some amazing deals to be had if you keep up to date with their Facebook page. The specials extend to the great range of food and snacks available. Great service and friendly staff. My daughter had her 12th birthday having a game of laser tag. We couldn't get the kids home as they were having so much fun after the laser tag game with the assortment of free and token based arcade games. We wish this little business ongoing success and growth as I am sure they have a vision for building this business up! We are looking forward to coming back for another game. A big shout out to gorgeous Ash for guiding me as it was our first time there and also to Tyler for his patience and fantastic interpersonal skills. Thank you from our friends and family.

We had a birthday party for my son and 13 of his friends. They LOVED every minute of their time there. The laser tag game was explained properly to all the kids and they finished their rounds with big beaming smiles. The arcade games (some are free and some require payment) were wonderful to keep them occupied and tire them out. Toilets were very clean too. The food were served piping hot. Although it was busy on the day we had the party, the staff remained efficient, professional, attentive to our needs, warm and friendly to all of us. Nothing was too big or too small a request for them to handle. We were very well taken care of. It was the most stress-free party I've ever had for my son !

Great location for a wide variety of fun activities. Laser tag, Virtual Reality and good old arcade games. The whole family loved it. Awesome for parties too. They've hosted a birthday party for my son which went really well too.

GAMR is an incredible spot for anyone who wishes to visit it, between the arcade games and awesome food, it's a great place to either sit around with your mates for a meal, or have a birthday party 😎🎮

First timer nanny here with her little people tonight for a triple laser tag challenge and some fun. What a very pleasant surprise to have found such a clean, welcoming family friendly entertainment complex so close to home. The staff are friendly and helpful. The complex offers a great seating area for parents waiting and offers quite an extensive menu should you wish to dine. Whilst there I witnessed three children’s birthday party’s and was impressed with the set up and the food on offer. Having recently been super disappointed elsewhere at my own grandchildren’s birthday party’s I can honestly say that what they offer here is value for money by a huge comparison. If all of this wasn’t enough to impress me there were also free play arcade games for the enjoyment for all. Needless to say I am most impressed and hope that you go and give it a try and spread the word and support a local business that’s in my opinion worthy of our support. We had a great family night out and the kids are super happy and so am l.
