Rooms are very clean, somethings needed touching up (paint, etc) . But very clean. Great beds, shower had great pressure, staff are lovely. Meals are great at the restaurant. Fast, well priced meals.

Reviewing the motel - Lovely staff, clean 3 star rooms, exactly what you should expect. Prices are in-line with other motels nowadays although overpriced compared to what they were 4+ years ago. You hardly hear the music from the nightclub surprisingly and it is fairly quiet throughout the week unless you have a specific problem guest.

Food was absolutely disgusting everything has a taste of curry powder over cooked and came out cold The only saying grace is the free bread rolls and butter wouldn't recommend

I arrived in hotel after long drive and waited almost 20 min on reception waiting for check-in. After 15 min Sue,I assumed the only person in charge came and said I have to wait because she is finishing paperwork. She didn't even apologise for waiting saying her boss responsible.

Despite staying here a dozen times using a business card for payment.||Was made to produce the original account holder of card.(like a thief)||Room number changed to not what was arranged previously per phone call.||Staff at check was simply incompetent and couldn't even program a door key without having to go back a second time.||Will never stay there again.

Despite staying here a dozen times for work,was forced to produce the owner of the Business Despite having used several times before here.(treated like a criminal) Then room changed from original booking as They can't Seem to maintain there rooms to a standard. Along with having to return to reception as they couldn't even manage to set the key properly. Service used to be so good and reliable. Obviously those days are gone.

While the hotel may have a charmingly dated aesthetic, the rooms were spotlessly clean, peacefully quiet, and had all the amenities needed for a pleasant two-night stay. We especially appreciated the ample free parking right on site. The real star of our experience was the exquisite wedding dinner for 30 of us the night before the big day. We were delighted to have a lovely private area all to ourselves, where we savoured a piping hot, utterly delicious meal served promptly and professionally. We were also impressed by the incredible value offered at the Dorset Gardens restaurant, particularly the generous senior meals which were as affordable as they were magnificent. Stayed here on January 14th. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. The meal in the bistro was excellent. The girls at reception could not be more helpful and are a credit to the owners. Will definitely stay again.

My ceaser salad was awesome and the chicken prams was fantastic.

Regarding the BISTRO- The food was lovely, including the children's menu. The service was great. Brooke was fantastic. Thank you. We came for a birthday celebration. Thank you. 😃

- food was horrible - 1 security guard in particular made us feel very uncomfortable. Obviously can’t walk a love one out the door without being followed like we’re doing something wrong lol. Will never go there again and do not recommend it.

Great drive thru bottle shop open late

Sub standard Christmas lunch, some of it inedible. Slow service made it unbearable. For $140 per head you guys need to do better.

My husband and I had lunch there Saturday 14th December. Not enough staff were on. Customers were 12 deep to get a drink only 2 bar staff on at the time. Only 2 staff running around at meal time serving etc, people waiting to order their meals and for desserts. On top of that, the meals were pretty average, we won't be returning.

Great service for our Christmas party

I never thought I'll say this have been a regular at this venue for years, I went to the bistro shown to a table given a menu,asked are coming back to take my order young person said yes waited for at least 10 minutes she was chatting to other young lass ,walked away, in the mean time 5 people walked in,sat at the table, their order was taken before mine,still waiting i got pissed off and walked out,is the first time that ever happened have been a regular customer for years, so I don't know what is going on is just not the place I know. Not good enough for me fix it please, not a person to winge if I don't tell you don't know if you don't know you can't fix it.

Clean room, great staff, reasonable rates

Never in a million years would I think I’d be refused entry for a government issued ID, that was on the my vic roads app… told management to show me I’m not allowed it, and they ended up showing me a typed up note saying, winnings will not be paid with a digital ID, no where it stated entry… Both security, staff and management were all delusional, and refused even though we had a right to enter. Will not be coming back after this experience.

Celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday in the Elm Function Room, and it was an amazing night! Nikki made the whole process so easy and stress-free. I’d definitely choose this venue again for future events.

This venue has really let itself go. Such a shame the meals and employees use to be very good. I have friends that have attended this venue for nearly 20 years who say the same and now refuse to go. Their new security management is an utter disgrace it has appeared on the news. If you have a girlfriend don’t leave her alone there. The security are renowned for taking advantage of girls as they leave the venue. They are also violent and will make it a challenge to receive your own belongings from the cloak room.

19th of October 2024 baptism and surprise wedding with reception at the Dorset Gardens with events manager Nikki in charge could not ask for a better place or a better person to deal with, the food was fantastic, the decore really lovely. Lovely meals, getting a little expensive for a Pub meal I believe.. Very attentive waitresses, the (very large) room is also quite noisy.

The staff are disgustingly rude have no Customer service skills , can dish out verbal to customers but when the customers go back they try to get them banned absolutely pathetic, disgusting and is damaging the place

Good place to stay quiet for a hotel and reasonably priced

If you’re looking for a budget room it’s barely worth the $99 per night for accomodation. If you’re looking for a room full of bugs, an air conditioner that spits out gunk because the filter has never been cleaned, no wifi, and a TV with no visuals, then this is the place for you

Went to a small function held there. We were in the back section mostly walled off but still open to the rest of the restaurant (no doors between) The food was lovely, massive portions. that gave us containers to take it home.

Room is nice clean. You got to try their seafood pot. Not the largest seafood or the freshest, however they way the chef cooked it I almost finished all the soup in the dish. Best seafood pot i have ever tried.

Dorset Gardens Hotel Bistro. The food is delicious. Generous servings and reasonably priced. I have always found the wait staff lovely as well. Photos below are of the Lamb Kebabs which comes with chips, Greek salad and Tzatziki.

This pertains to the bistro only. We were waited upon by Brodie, and there were a few other interactions with him. He was very polite and exceptionally hard working. All the staff were great, but he was a cut above the others.

A special pit stop while on the move. The bistro dinners are huge and tasty. With speedy service and lovely staff.

My partner and I held our engagement at Dorset Gardens Hotel and we were very impressed with the way the function room was set up and how much space there was. We particularly liked how friendly the staff were.

We went to the bistro to celebrate mums 91 st birthday. Only 2 things were of concern. Everything else was brilliant and I would recommend. We were placed right beside the playground despite not having any children with us. The doors of the playground kept smashing into my chair. Children were running in and out and throwing food. No parents watching as they were seated well away from the playground 🤔. My other concern is the lack of option for having an entree size meal of a choice. I asked as mum has difficulty getting through a large meal but was told no we don't do that" . We will be back but make sure we're no where near the playground."
