Hi there greetings rooms are net very clean sorry you get to look at this ps the waiter got to clean his hands PLEASE John
I was ordering and then I asked for gluten free snitzel and I said it again because I thought she didn't hear then she corrected me
This shoreline hotel is having best view exfrom the room service is good enough to stay
Another fantastic meal. I had the porterhouse with roast veg and the delicious mushroom gravy. My partner had the duck a l'orange, which may be new to the menu or we'd over looked it previously, he said it was perfect 👌. Thanks for another great meal team!
The rooms are neat and tidy, the food was great considering we arrived on a public holiday. The staff were more than happy to help. Parking is also easily accessible
Very nice meal, great friendly service, reasonable prices, highly recommend
A group of us dined in the 'high class' restaurant for lunch. When booking was told they were very busy but they could fit us in. On arrival we found there was only one other table occupied, the entire time we were there... We were directed to a table outside the actual dining area, where the table was barely set (even the tablecloth was a piece of material unevenly placed). Our beer stubbies arrived, the tray was put down directly on top of my cutlery forcing me to hold it for the waitress. She then brought us glasses filled with ice...for beer... The food ordered was a mix of Blue eye, Parmi and Calamari. Parmi was okay, calamari was average, (straight from the freezer) but the blue eye was drenched in a bitter, sour verdi sauce rendering it, and the veg, basically inedible. All of this for the lovely price of $300. Absolutely disgraceful and none of us will ever return.
This busy hotel on Hobart's eastern shore has a large indoor/outdoor dining space which overlooks the Derwent River and Mount Wellington. Service was prompt and staff were easy going and friendly. Pub grub" was tasty and servings were well sized. Good selection of wines and beers."
Sorry we love eating there but tonight I think someone salted the duck twice or three times it was soooooo salty. I’ve had it before and loved it but not tonight.
Best pub food I've had in ages. It was a little understaffed and I made life difficult for them by requesting a table outside rom the original booking in the family room, this was due to the excessive noise of the lareg table next to us. The staff helped us with that. Food service was slow, we booked fro 12:30 and had to ask for our orders to be taken at 1:45 or so but other than that its an excellent pub.
My family recently hosted a Baby Shower for our son and daughter in law at the Shoreline Hotel. We found that every aspect of the function was exceptional. Firstly, both the suggestions and pre-planning from Katelyn, the Functions Manager, was fantastic. Katelyn made catering and decoration decisions very easy and her advice was much appreciated. Secondly, the hotel staff on the day were excellent, ensuring that all the attendees were able to enjoy themselves with both food and refreshments served in an efficient and timely manner. The venue itself was first rate - we had private use of The Terrace which is adjacent to both the stylish lounge and dining areas. The overall experience for all in attendance was just superb - thank you Shoreline management and staff!!
Amazing place to eat!! If you’re looking for somewhere to eat on your trip around Tasmania, this is it. We tried the steak and chips, steak was delicious! As well as the chicken parmi, which was excellent. Amazing desserts and props to all the staff on Jan 16 from 1:30 till 3:00 pm such a fantastic service, very kind and friendly! Thanks to the girl with the bangs for her excellent service and wine recommendations!
Great food, atmosphere and Friendly, professional service . Playground area and outdoor space was great for keeping children entertained
Down in Tas for a few days. Met up with a mate just before 8pm at the Sports Bar at Shoreline. By about 8.30 (I think it was closer to 8.20 but I'll give leeway) it was all over as they'd called last drinks. Website says 11pm - to be fair it does say 'hours subject to trade' so to others considering a catch up with friends the venue seems fit for purpose but don't count on it being reliably open. They were accommodating when I asked for food but told me I had 2 mins to decide. But they made the pizza so I can give points there. Ordered a drink and got served a different one. I didn't think it was a big deal so I didnt mention it but it was just another one of those 'little things' that added up. Staff as mentioned above ended up getting the food but it did seem a lot of trouble and I thought I was probably a nuisance to them. I don't expect silver service and a smile but even ordering a drink it was pretty cold from the bartend. We also did wonder whether the whole place was closing or just the sportsbar section but we weren't told and all of those 'little things' added up to us not bothering to ask so we won't hold it against them because we didn't ask but at the same time if management reads this and other areas do remain open then its worth telling your staff to let people know that. Overall, it seems a fine enough venue for purpose. Staff were somewhat accomodating but the overall vibe was they could've hardly cared less. Food when brought out was fine but perhaps being clearer about cut off times for food on the website would be useful. And certainly the biggest drawback for us is the unreliability of opening times - we understand it - but there doesn't seem to be another alternative nearby so if they do close early you are a bit stuck - probably unlikely to choose the venue again for this reason.
Had my first beer with my 18 year old grandson . Meals and ambience are very good .
Our work Christmas lunch was delicious. The salt and pepper calamari was divine. It was a shame that they wouldn't serve certain drinks like vodka sunrise or tequila sunrise and waitress/barmaid was rude about it. All other staff were lovely though.
The fish was bland, oily and ordinary, the salad was NOT at all fresh. The Parmy was good.
Great meal and we also enjoyed to music on the lawn prior
As a coeliac it is hard to find 'safe' gluten free meals that aren't cross contaminated in the kitchen, but this place was recommended on the Coeliac Tasmania Facebook page. I haven't had a Parmy or a Schnitty in a long time, and it was the best gluten free schintzel I've ever remembered having. It was so big, we took half of it home. When I am in Hobart again, I will be dining here again. Yum!
The dining experience was great and the meals were fantastic. Only ‘grievance’ was having to pay $5 to change from chips and coleslaw to veggies. There should not be an extra charge as you’re not getting the chips and coleslaw. If it was an additional, then yes. But it’s instead of which is rather expensive.
I attended for dinner as a group of three on a not so busy Monday night. Overall, we are disappointed considering we decided to go there specifically because of reviews. The service was slow, considering it only looked to be at 40% at capacity. We saw our drinks sitting on the bar waiting to be delivered to the table while multiple wait staff walked past (15 minutes). The ice had mostly de-iced and watered down our drinks. One person had a chicken parmi and it was dry with barely any cheese. I had the pulled pork croquettes. This was an absolute waste of money. They were 95% potato and 5% pulled pork. As someone who doesn’t enjoy potato, this was a big let down. No where on the menu was it advertised they had potato++ in them. In comparison to most places, potato is meant to bind the meat together not be the sole ingredient. The third person had the potato and mozzarella croquettes, once again expected a bit more of a presence from the mozzarella, not sure where that was hiding. They do have a great offering for Coeliac people (Gluten Free) which drove our visit to the restaurant. We likely won’t go back, it was very disappointing. If we do, we’ll likely have different meals next time.
Nice atmosphere. Service time average
I was with my daughter and l ordered the lamb shanks , on receiving my meal it looked underwhelming, veges were ok it was a small serve , the shanks had no sauce on them and looked old and tasted bland ,there was a tiny amount of sauce in the bowl but that was all , my daughter ordered a steak which had a large bit of gristle under the fat that you couldn't eat , unfortunately it wasn't a great dining experience.
Dinner in the cafe with friends. Food was just ok
Wonderful meal and service for my partner’s birthday (in the middle of Christmas craziness) Ella and the team looked after us all night, including bringing out the cake with candles (no cakage charge, and I forgot to take candles). All meals were delicious and they left us to catch up and talk after dinner. Highly recommended and thank you shoreline team
Great service great meals best Parmis in towns shout out to the bar guy that served us at around 4:30 he was amazing and made the experience way better
Guy was very helpful and friendly Food was top notch me and my mate came in for a meal and was cooked to perfection keep up the excellent work 😊
Bar manger is a fruit loop. Better off going down the road.
This would have to be the worst case of false advertising l have ever experienced in any domestic travel ever. It is appalling that you fob this off the way you have suggesting “stunning sweeping views across the Derwent” which turned into a “grotty room with a huge children’s climbing apparatus slammed right in front of the window obscuring any minuscule view” which might have existed. The bathroom was worse than you’d find in any caravan park anywhere + guests are asked to use just one power point at a time in case they short circuit! A miserable little Tv with nothing but free to air Tv hangs on an equally miserable little wall the place smells of too much disinfectant to cover the equally awful smell of the room and all in all just disgusted. We will be reporting it to the office of fair trade for the false misleading photos and descriptions on your website btw l have taken photos myself.
my friend & I had lunch, food was hot, service quick & pleasant. We are booked again for new year.
We're locals, went for dinner only, large group booking, entrees plentiful and very nice, steak really good with vegetables coming in separate bowls so you could take as much or as little as you wanted. Only downside was the pavlova was actually a meringue (hard all the way through) and had too much coulis so you couldn't taste the meringue properly.
Had a lovely meal on Friday night with some friends at the Shoreline’s dining room. I had the eye fillet - very nice, and everyone else’s meals were great too. Service was good and the place was busy, so well done to the staff.
Warm and friendly staff. Atmosphere was great. Very understanding staff to my dietary requirements.
Fairly good ambience, staff need to be more friendly and less business-like though. They have fairly good food and well stocked bars(though prices change if you change locations in the same establishment!)
Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, next to Woolworths, liquor shop, bakery, car wash, gym … Beer on tap at the restaurant with great choices of meals and deserts
Great meal, great service - thanks Shoreline!
I took a group of clients there for Lunch yesterday. The place looked great and the food was amazing. Will be going back for sure.
We have celebrated this and last year's Christmas parties at The Shoreline and found the experience to be fantastic from start to finish. The event planner had great communication and assisted us with all our needs and on the night the staff were super polite and attentive. Thank you for making this experience a stress free and enjoyable one.
Great location, great meals and excellent service.
So many flies. Meal plates not cleared away.
We have had. Meals here a few times, Christmas,,Birthdays, & meet ups, foood & staff a great but let down by the exhorbitant over priced drinks prices!!! Absolutely disgraceful, family have decided. We will never. Return!!!
Chicken parmy was excellent Service friendly and professional
Rooms very clean, staff friendly, meal and service excellent in cafe. Shoreline Plaza conveniently across road. Bus stop out front.
Food was absolutely devine
I've frequented this hotel to have dinner with my family. But today they have lost a loyal customer. The staff were very rude and have raised his voice on me just to say they are full. I have called many times to reserve, left my number and nobody even bothered to confirm my reservation. Staff should be trained for their customer service. Very rude behaviour.
Great food, were well looked after, the wait for our meal was not too long.
Good meals and good service. I really like the burgers there and they're always so good.
Just there for a wine or two with my family. Lovely atmosphere.
Room is old and dated. Struggled to get the heating to work as the remote seems faulty. The food at the restaurant was good. Next door is shopping mall with grocery store.
Amazing place
Such a fantastic venue. We had the most lovely waitress, Layla. So helpful and made our experience more enjoyable. Great service. Will be back.
Food is good but sizes have dropped in the bar and not good value anymore
ridiculousy good service. i would not suggest.
We went here for our anniversary just the 2 of us for a treat my husbands seafood basket was beautiful but unfortunately my steak ordered medium was obviously not finished off and the fat not rendered so off putting with the raw fat
Meals are amazing every time we come here, and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommend
Good food and a nice spot for families.
Had a yummy lunch at the cafe.
Great food, great atmosphere!
Really enjoyed our meal last night. Great food and service was amazing. Highly recommend.
Have been coming here randomly for over 20 years. The food, service, and environment are all excellent.
Fabulous desserts
A small family dinner in the Cafe. Service was excellent, very welcoming. Menu range was great as is the prices. All food was well presented, hot, fresh and delicious. Staff were very friendly.
Many options for dining with different rooms available to eat in with a wide range of food on the menu at reasonable prices.
Absolutely awesome service and great food Sam out waiter was so helpful and pleasant True credit to your team
Went here for a family dinner recently as we wanted to try somewhere different. Given that there were a lot of us service was a little slower but that's understandable but after a long wait some people found their food more or less cold so it had to be returned. I had a meat lovers chicken parmigiana whilst it was nice it didn't keep it's heat very long and some toppings were sliding everywhere personally for $34 I would expect a little better but the chips were very well done being perfectly seasoned. I also had a slice of a Pit boss pizza and whilst some people found their food unsatisfactory this certainly was not the case. Everything about the pizza was great and I would come back here just for the pizza alone definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Pizza was fairly priced too which is an added bonus The atmosphere of The Shoreline Hotel was fantastic and the new renovations make it feel very relaxing with ample space around the restaurant
11 out of 10 for food quality and service. We eat here as a family quite a bit and we keep coming back because we love it here, just a shame our visit last week was spoiled by parents letting their children behave badly by running around the dining room screaming and yelling so loud we couldn't have a conversation. Parents, please keep your children under control, it really does spoil the atmosphere for others. We also had children with us, before anyone thinks we're anti children, we're not, just bad behaviour in public. Well done shoreline for your excellent staff and service.
When we arrived, the heater and television were not workingThe room was cold even with the heater on. No hot water, and after being fixed there were 3 channels. NOT HAPPY.
Room was large but the wifi connection seemed abit weak. Heater was not presemt in the toilet as well, so it was chilly during winter.
Great for it's food and beer I had a nice meal nd the place was peaceful great day out
Had brunch with a friend and loved the service and the meal. Staff were very easy to approach and knowledgeable. Recommend the Breckie 🍔 and hot chocolate
Great service and food. The staff are very friendly and the food is always delicious. The dining room has a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants a nice casual meal.
Friendly and welcoming, though Service was slow, meals were average.
From the sports bar to the dining room the food is top notch. Never disappoints.
Food was ok, wine was far too expensive.
Good Cafe, great Menu
My partner and I dined in the Cafe area last night, it was beautiful food! Great service 👏 We definitely will be back.
Staff incredibly accommodating in the cafe and a lovely atmosphere for lunch
Don’t bother an absolute disgrace a special night ruined, booked a romantic booth in dining room for a real special occasion when arrived got put into open lounge area local wild life , birthday partys and kids running everywhere food left on table dirty floor. Similar to Maca’s or Hogs breath. Meals were terrible It can’t get any simpler with Steak and coleslaw but ended up with a 3 day old dead salad a tough over cooked. Second meal was no better the beef Guinness pasty THING which had 3 lumps a Grisle or possibly Road Kill off the South Arm Hwy. Potato mash was Grey was that cold and old. We complained and were offer a big 10% off in the bottle shop “ Big Deal” for a $170. Meal ABSOLUTELY DISCUSSING WILL NEVER GO AGAIN.
Everyone was very friendly Respectful vibes And all round great Food and Drinks were delicious 😋
Enjoyed an early dinner in the Cafe area. Food was good, friendly staff and a warm space. Thank you.
Staff too arrogant
Lovely lunch with a friend in the cafe. Great service. Nice food.
Food and service were terrific well looked after.
Our community organisation held our AGM at the Shoreline. We were well catered for. On arrival, due to the noise, we were seated in a different area and that made the difference for conversations to be heard. Our party of 9 enjoyed the dining experience. The food was hot and the service excellent considering how busy it was.
Dined in the dining room for a special birthday. Staff were helpful and accommodating as we brought in our own cake. Food was great, service was on time.
