Rudest staff of Melbourne... I was sober and was asked to sit properly, my friends were asked to behave every time they did anything, like we were with other people who were all hugging and jumping together on the dance floor, it got stopped by the security team. So much grouch it spoiled the night.

This place has always been a solid pub in Brunswick for years. One of the best beer gardens in Melbourne, outdoor bar, heaps of staff... House wines $5 you can't go wrong.

I don't have an ironic haircut or enjoy extortionately priced beer that tastes like coffee mixed with marijuana. I miss the days when this place wasn't overrun with hipsters.... Still an iconic staple of Melbourne. Staff are always exceptionally pleasant.

If there was a button for 6 stars I’d be pressing it so hard my phone screen would need repair shopping! Bingo by Hot Tubs Time Machine was the deliciously unique icing on a very tasty cake of fine beers friendly services and equal opportunities where Monday felt like Sunday. Praise to all involved. I was there Tuesday night for the Blak Stage open mic night.

A pretty great beer garden to watch the AFL grand final in! The staff were absolutely lovely and were giving us free hot nibbles which is a rarity. Beer prices are reasonable

I ordered myself a mulled wine and then proceeded to order some fries and wings. I wish they told us that the kitchen was busy and there's a long wait. We waited about 45mins for the order to be served! Apart from that it seemed like a place for the locals. The food tasted good.

My friend and I came for a birthday party and a fantastic server named Brandon was so accommodating and wonderful ❤️❤️

Being coming to this place for years. Whether it is seeing a band, relaxing in the beer garden, playing a game of pool or having a sneaky beer in the front bar this place has never disappointed. The beer is always cold and the food is pretty damn tasty too! Edit: years later and after many hangovers, I still keep going back so the place must be worth it!

Great vibe with quality food. I got a quality steak roll for only $15 while the live band was playing on stage in such an amazing atmosphere:)

I love drinking bulk beers and yapping to strangers at the retreat. One of the more wholesome places to store the old paycheck.

Drew has been an absolutely amazing waiter every night I’ve been here. Please give him a raise or at least employee of the month. My nachos never came and not only did he get some out in less than 5 minutes, he was kind enough to get me a free drink for the inconvenience. He went above and beyond despite a very full venue!! Last night me and a mate had an absolute blast at the live Mariokart night and will 100% be going back! The wedges were fantastic, the drinks even better, all the staff were lovely and helpful when needed and the atmosphere was out of this world and something you just can’t get any where else

An under appreciated venue

that pool table area is asking for fights/confrontations, personally I’d just get rid of it to prevent anything from happening again in the future.

Great bands

The smell in the band room was a bit funky but this is a great venue and supporting awesome local bands & a good menu.

Cosy 'inner-city suburbs' pub... with a nice homely-ish atmosphere, good food & drinks and friendly staff. There is a small performing area, a beer-garden and, I think, a function space for hire, too. Worth a visit! 👍

Look it's a mad pub; great atmosphere, good sound systems, varied music,with a number of different events happening at once, happening in succession with success. Skip the food eat elsewhere first but if you must eat it's he standard pub grub. Service at the bar is a little to be desired and don't expect much but beer. Overall average to above average with he service and food letting the place down.
