Exceptional saisons and cask releases. The honey saison was my Saturday afternoon favourite. Five star service from Luke behind the bar. Can’t wait to see what beer they release next.

Flat Rock Brew Cafe is a great asset for the lower north shore. They always have a great selection of craft beers on tap. Most of them are made on site in their own kegs, too. And with the newly refurbished Naremburn plaza, it’s a great place for an afternoon drink in the sun. Highly recommended.

The live music on Sundays is so much fun and a very kid-friendly environment. Make sure you reserve ahead though! Even if you’re going early, like 5, it will be busy.

One of the few places (if not the only) where Cask ale is served. And the prawns are a killer!!

Great beers and welcoming vibe, cheers.

Always enjoy ourselves at Flat Rock Brewery. Friendly staff and great beer!

Awesome boutique brewery with excellent staff and a very original atmosphere. Anyone devoted to (or interested in trying) british real ale (and no it is not warm) should give the flat rock a try!

Great brewery nice food great beers

Great live music and fantastic service from the staff. Food was a little pricey and the portions were slightly smaller than expected but great atmosphere and vibes.

Wonderful & cosy local pub, with good sized meals. Friendly staff and a new outdoor area which is great on a warm night!

Fantastic live music

Great fresh food choices for this style of venue, we recommend the prawn and chorizo and also chicken schnitzel fingers for delicious share plates. Tap beer options are interesting and tasty and the WA Windance Chardonnay is a great addition. We’ll be back for sure when next in Sydney.

A great local brew pub, well worth a visit.

Great beer, good vibes. Live music on Sunday's. Some excellent craft beers!! Update: They're still doing great beers and food but the council has taken over some of their space to make a public park area. They could do with some extra support and are running a weekly draw. The paddles are a great way to try their range and find your favourite 👌 Really good food. The chips are the best mix of crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! The sweet potato ones are good too 😋 Another update: we keep coming back and keep getting blown away by amazing quality of drinks and food! The roast potatoes are to die for!!

Such a great experience we’ve had down at Flat Rock Brew Cafe. Beautiful customer service and excellent beer! 10/10 🙌🏾

We got here late on a Sunday afternoon and were welcomed with open arms. The staff were helpful in letting us know when the kitchen was going to close so we could order. This place has a really good selection of craft beer imports as well as an onsite brewery with some absolute gems! Including a lovely barley wine. We were treated with a quick tour of the brewing operations too. Coming back when time allows to sample more of the menu.

Great place for a bit of music while you sample the great beers on tap. The staff are friendly and the food is YUM!! Sunday special roast lamb with veges or pumpkin soup with sour dough.

Great selection of real craft beers along with enticing food selections. Try the tapas plate for a easy starter.

Delicious and unusual collection of beers and very friendly staff.

Great location in a perfect village setting with ample parking. Craft beer at its best and great vibes on a Sunday afternoon with live music.

Warm friendly staff, great vibe , good food , excellent choice of craft beers and live music on a Sunday arvo - perfect!

You can’t beat a local brew - and in my case it is the Flat Rock Brew Cafe in Naremburn. It’s a great place for a lazy beer or wine with friends.

Delicious beers brewed on site with a selection of tasty menu options. Perfect for a winter’s evening. Staff are friendly and vibe is relaxed.

Karl and his team are brilliant. They really care and welcome families, and offer great beers and meals. I'm going back for their Sunday roast.

Knowledgable and friendly staff. Nothing is a problem to them. Can be quiet can be busy but always inviting. Best place on Lower North Shore!

Our second Cask Ale Day. Was a fantastic day. Glad we came. Food choices were also awesome. Thank you Flat Rock Brew Cafe

Really great afternoon at the Flat Rock Brew Cafe sampling their impressive varieties uncasked for the day. Recommend the English Mild and the Sequoia were favourites.

Great selection of lovely cask ales, the friendliness of the staff unmatched! Great place to spend any afternoon.

Fabulous cozy afternoon at Flatrock Brew cafe. Celebrating the opening of a huge number of new beer casks. Too much fun by all. ☺️

What a great afternoon. Sampling same great cask beers, with friendly and informative staff. Would recommend this for any beer lovers

The best local you could ask for. The best service, staff and top quality product! Keep up the good work team!! 🍻

Great Friday night experience. Fabulous food and drinks menu, really good quality meals. Outstanding friendly service and really cosy comfortable little place to sit and chat for an hour or two. Double thumbs up.

Highly rate this place! Best craft beers in Sydney! Great service and good food too 😀

Fantastic venue for a function, special event or even just a drink. Karl and the team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was covered. Highly recommend!

Beer is great. Very relaxed, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Volume of Sunday musicians could be dialled down a notch but a great local vibe. Even if you’re not from the Hood!

What a fantastic place! We come here often on a Sunday for the great food, music and atmosphere. It’s also a wonderful place to drop in for a quick drink after work during the week.

Great beers and I loved the burger

Love the beer and friendly local atmosphere - and the chicken parmis are to die for!

Our favorite local here every week ,somewhere you can meet and chat with great beer and snacks

Good dishes and services

The service was impeccable from start to finish, all good. food the best

Food is definitely great! They got variety of options for menu, and everything we tried was delicious!

Good services and drinks! Keep up the goods!

Good foods

Great range of beers and wine, lovely outdoor area for alfresco dining. Friendly service. Avoid the New York steak, $38 of unevenly cooked steak, potatoes, overcooked broccolini and frozen veggies reheated. We didn't comment at the time to despite enquiries by the staff as there wasn't really anything that could save this dish. Schnitzel and chips were fine.

Definitely not worth the price. Ordered the New York Sirloin. It's completely different to how it's advertised on the menu... it stated that it came with broccolini, smashed potatoes. Instead, I got a piece of average steak... a few cubes of average potatoes (maybe 1 potatoe) and a very minimal amout of reheated frozen mixed veggies obviously from a packet (that were still slightly cold inside) - All for a low price of $38 (extremely over priced) Honestly save your money and just go to a different pub.

Deliciouss 👍🏼 and great service

Best steak and burger in town!!! 👍🏻💯😋

Awesome spot for some delicious beers 🤤🤤

Chill vibes and excellent drinks

Cask conditioned ale day was great. Will be back.

Maybe their steak is better.

Great service, good line up of craft beers. Had the English pale pale, the and oak aged belgium one, finishing with the red rye. All on tap! Also, I ate the loaded chips. Delicious & plentiful.

Bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Beers were great, rhey brew a the beers on-site. Also have a substantial food menu. Although we didn't to try the food, I look forward to coming back for the weekly specials after sighting Laksa and Curry on the board, perfect Winter warmers. Being right at the entry of the motorway, I would encourage you to sit inside during peak hour.

A true neighbourhood brewery & pub with dedicated and long-term staff. They worked with me to succeed with a sort of group function (actually a few over the years) and while the venue doesn't offer 42 taps nor a huge courtyard, it's likable for being a nice sized friendly place with a good menu & kitchen, and of course, great beer. Indoor (front, back and upstairs) and outdoor seating.

If you like good independent beer and are not willing to drink megaswill, then Flat Rock Brew Cafe is pretty much your best bet in the area. There's always a good selection of beers on tap and the fridge often has some interesting (and expensive) beers too. There are a couple of hand pumps for that authentic pint. The menu has a fairly standard selection of pub dishes, so you won't go hungry. If you are after a few good beers with a standard pub meal to go with them, you'll do fine at Flat Rock. There are no annoying TVs hanging off the walls, which is a very welcome change from most venues. The staff have really good music playlists - I very much enjoy the background music, which is not overwhelming, but very enjoyable.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Waited to be served, no one came. Should have known by osmosis to beg the 2 disinterested staff behind the bar for assistance. Also it's a cafe with no coffee.

Keeps running out of popular Lager-like beer which forces you on to experimental, dark, fizzy, second-rate craft beers. No spirits sold (apparently they get people drunk). Awful implementation of RSA laws (serve you/friends beer and then say they can't drink it). Probably the worst (most overpriced) burger in all Sydney - $26 for pure meh! Did I mention how uncomfortable the 'chairs' were. Beware the staff.

Best burger I've had in a while. Beer list is great as well

Great small local brewery, some beers brewed in house. Tasty snacks. And dog friendly.

Not sure how you get a 4.5 star review based on our dining experience, food and drinks less than average.

Great food and amazing beers!

Jazz on Sunday evenings, a good variety of hand pulled ales, friendly service, sumptuous and delicious bar food...this place has a lot to offer. One little hitch is their not so clean toilets

No screens, no pokies, just great beers and real people having real conversations. My kind of pub.

Great food and beers brewed on site. Very attentive and helpful service. Perfect outdoors on a sunny day or cozy indoors in the rain. Now we live locally, we’ll be regulars!

A quiet little Brew Cafe with the welcome option of seating outside, which is delightful on a warm day. The beer selection is decent, and the food options are good. Come here for a quiet night of conversation and beers. Live music on a Sunday afternoon is a nice addition.

Great beer & friendly staff!

Cool Cafe

Great drinks and food, friendly staff and a fun atmosphere

Great beer, nice food.

Neat place with great IPA’s on tap. Bench seating with a good view out onto the street. Great place to relax over a beer EDIT: pale ale tasted very ordinary, like a Carlton draught or similar beer

Good beer, delicious food, nice private area in the back if you require it.

Wonderful place with nice food and drinks

Got some really tasty beers here! Food is a bit below average however.

Just left there! I went there with my wife and was very excited about it since I saw the website online and the beer list! However, as soon as we got there it was this lady who I assume was the manager (hope not the owner) who was very very rude to me for no reason! I was talking to the bartender a bout the menu and she was like “your inside the bar” which I was at the entry to be fair but didn’t realise it but she could just ask me kindly and then beer drinkers they have no tasting!!! So they don’t give you a sip to see what your drinking! Then right 2 minutes after she cam and asked us to move somewhere else! long story short could be a nice place if she wasn’t there!
