Cranbourne Motor Inn

After a disaster from another motel, these people were happy to accommodate me at such short notice. Rooms are outdated, but we're neat and tidy and CLEAN SHEETS! The older fellow seemed friendly and was happy to have a chat. I did get a fight though, when he unlocked my door and opened it slightly, I'm assuming to check if the room wasn't being trashed, but it did scare me, I ended up bolting it and using the table up against the door. Other than that it wasn't a bad place to stay.

If I could give this place -5 stars I would! What a disgrace of a place! I drove 2.5 hours to meet my partner there to see friends for the weekend. I got back in the car and drove 2.5 hours straight back home again and cancelled my weekend plans! I felt so unsafe there were ppl smoking pot out the front. The pillows stunk like sweaty hair! It was disgusting!!!!

I didn’t even step foot past the door before I turned and got back in my car and left. Lucky I asked to see the room before paying.

I can’t comment on the room as I never had the chance to check in at 4:30pm. I booked online & planned on paying by credit card on arrival. No one at reception to check in. I called the phone line. Rude unprofessional man told me too bad as I hadn’t paid online. I said I was going to pay them and there but he said I had to pay cash or PayID s as the eftpos machine was off. Who runs a business like that? How ironic when this is displayed on the office door! Dodgy!!!!!

Noisy and run down. Ok for what you pay

Arrived to find the bottom of the shower a layer of solid green mould. Splashes of god knows what up the walls, massive coffee rings on cabinets, sticky tape holding the heater together. Thankfully beds/sheets were clean as we did not have the option to move. I rang them the next morning to tell them it was a health hazard and was told ‘oh yeah that room needs a renovation’ and I said ‘no it needs a scrub and a good clean’. I got no solutions, it was just bad luck.

Rubbish absolute dive, the manager is a pig, he refused to provide a tax invoice and abused me when I asked.

Run down in an industrial area more like a place for the homeless. Poeple that manage or work at the place look like there from off the streets.

Great hotel affordable clean and a good last minute accommodation

Horrible service. Check in time was 2 pm got there at 3 still the room wasn’t clean and told by staff it will take still an hour to clean. I was soo tired that i refuse the cleaning and had to take rest and after some time the cleaner shows up and started knocking the door when i was asleep. Disgusting and disturbed my whole sleep. More than that stupid cleaner was arguing when i was half asleep. Really really had very bad experience.

3.5 out of 5. The rooms were alright but not great. A little untidy but for the cost it wasn't bad. Everyone was friendly as well so I do recommend this place if you are on a budget.

Cheap clean comfortable short walking distance to the shops and social events and public pools

Worse stay ever. Do not stay. Sleeping in a car would be better than this place. Check in was a joke, manager had loud music late when I had a very early start plus road noise could be heard through ear plugs. Room smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke.

Absolutely terrible ... not worth even 1 star! The manager was very rude & disinterested + he sat out the front smoking, drinking & talking loudly at night. We didn't feel safe at all here - people banging on doors, talking loudly & mulling around outside all night. The whole place stunk of cigarettes. We took turns sleeping lightly & watching our car because we were afraid of theft - left early in the morning. The room was extremely average & nothing worked, the bed & pillow were very uncomfortable. Do not stay here.

What do you expect for $107,00 a night

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, had a mouse in my room and had to swap rooms got offered a refund then said i can get SOME back, the room we got swapped to was a little better but still gross, never been scared to stay at a place, did not feel safe with the people yelling banging on doors at all hours of the night, claiming they haven’t had this problem before but room was disgusting smelt like smoke, as soon as we arrived saw a cleaner smoking out the door with door opened and put it out and blew it inside, staff are not helpful on the phone what so ever but act nice over text, if ur looking for a place to stay, stay way from here!!!!

I travel alot with work and i would have to say this is the worst motel i have ever stayed at. Room stinks, to scared to sleep under rhe bed spread as i don't want to find what is on the sheets. Told reception that i can't change channels or adjust the volume on the TV and she said someone will come down and have a look, never happened, would of been better to sleep iny car

Great if your going to the races. Great venue down the road, walking distance for a meal, put on a bet or take your chances on the pokies.

Horrible business not kind at all

There was never anyone at reception, told room was open and key was in it, filthy bathroom if you can call it that, sink was in kitchen and only sink. No clean towels, and a sign on the wall stating if you don’t clean your room and get rid of rubbish or break anything you will be charged $250. There’s nothing in that room that’s worth $250, put together. 2 knives one fork, one teaspoon no one ever refills coffee/tea/sugar and are rude and abrupt. Couldn’t sleep all night as woman in next room sat in her doorway all night smoking and coughing. The next morning the room on the other side sat out the front of our window on the phone, loudly all day and loud visitors, all feathering out the front of our room. Mould in showers, toilet filthy. Would not recommend and DEFINITELY not worth the price.

I’ve stayed here, reception people were okay to deal with. Room was small, but clean. Had people hanging around our room all night, couldn’t sleep, air con didn’t work. Won’t be returning.

Visited reception twice and pushed bell and waited for 5min in sun and nothing. No reception person onsite, just a 24/7 number to talk to. Checked into room and aircon didn't work, tried everything, power had tripped. Clean sheets but room not clean. Opened cupboards to find filfly dishes, 3 coffee mugs stained beyond usable,dry milk in microwave bowl.... Left everything on counter so it could be bined before next guest. Checked out at 6am. Paid $150 for one night. Cheaper better accommodation in Melbourne City.

Been there for less than 30 mins suddenly there are bunch of people talking from the front door and they trying to open my door a couple of times its nearly midnight im scared and run away i lock the door and left the key to the key box trying to refund the money but NO its not allowed and its expensive $150

This place doesn't deserve one star, absolutely disgusting. Do not stay here. We had a room that l am u sure was cleaned as the amount of rubbish under beds upon closer inspection was horrifying. I have photos for proof. When l phoned the lady who happily takes bookings and your money $170 per night. She was rude and did not care for any feed back. It's disgusting how people can run business like this. Warning stay clear of this place.

Had a mad root there once with some random hot chick

Rang to ask about the Motor Inn for December and the person I spoke to (male) was very rude, would never recommend to anybody.

It is not fair after 10 min of booking in to ask for my money back. I run a very successful business and if someone can't make it and decided to cancel after 10 min and their excuse is oh its already been processed that is rubbish as customers who I deal with will 100,% get a refund asap as they can refund the money but they didn't want to my dad wasn't well so it the 10min I had book this I rang and said I couldn't make coz my father's no well she wouldn't do it $150 in 20 min wow.So disappointed and I've been there many times.and she could still have rebooked it as like I said 10min NEVER AGAIN.

Wrong remote for TV. No water in the fridge, 1 pillow each, no extra blackets, no tea towels to clean dishes. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom tap leaking. Air-conditioning not working properly

Not bad also because it was a sudden thing we did not know where to go we could not do otherwise however nice in front there is a factory I do not know what there was a double bed and I brought the bed the next day but for one night I slept for earth even if a little hard but not badly clean only that there is no washing machine or kitchen for cooking, there is a microwave oven, then I brought some used stuff but well kept well for me it suits me, big sugar packs, instant coffee jars more than one, milk 1 liter milk cartons, crackers, chips smith and doritos twoo boxs, very clean tidy cute cups, dishes, large trash bags, clean bathroom with shower and toilet clean, the floor clean even the carpet, almost every day they change the sheets and then clean towels, the only thing I don't like is that the wifi signal is not taken inside the room but only outside,there is also television. price 160 $dollars

By FAR The worst overpriced motel that had nothing I wanted not to mention how loud that place is with factories working and waking you up! So I left there and went to Mahogany rooms about two minutes drive around the corner! Much much much much better I’ve stayed here before

I intended to stay for a night, but after arriving from Perth was told by the Victorian government to self quarantine and get a covid test! They did not refund my money or answer my email, if it was my fault by all means take my money but due to the covid pandemic I would think that this place and Melbourne would have had more bad luck had I returned a positive test! Very poor

clean sheets but a clump of black hair in the bed. What felt like a film of dirt on almost everything. Cups had to be washed before use. Noisy residents until well past 2am, someone even tried to open our door overnight. No power from 8am due to scheduled maintenance which we weren't informed about. Left after 1 night, did not feel safe enough to stay for the second night. A tent in a paddock would have provided a more comfortable stay. Would rather not give any stars.

Tried to cancel my accomodation during COVID yet this property refused even though the Vic government have Reintroduced a 5 day lockdown and travel restrictions have been put in place. Shame on you.......

Dirty fridge and shower, toilet not cleaned or flushed, no coffee, tea etc, no reception. Never again.

From smoke being blown in face while checking in, from smoking owner. No hot water for a 6.30am shower we were glad we only stayed 1 night. Won't stay there in future, shame as it used a nice place that we had used in the past

Just drove there. Dropping 2 adults and baby off. Looked clean.

Decent rooms for the price, also is located off the main rd so noise pollution is minimal.

A dive.

If you've been to a motor-inn in a somewhat rough area, you should know what to expect as you arrive. A few altercations outside, loud people, 'regulars'... The business themselves were fine. Gave me a much needed discount. Would stay again if I had to.

I booked to stay here as I have nowhere else to go and for the price per night you would think they would clean their rooms, I am so disappointed and disgusted as I thought they would’ve cleaned their rooms considering what’s going on around the world, If I could give 0 stars I would. This should be reported to services but I guess it was just a one off but will never stay here again!.

Really impressed for the price. Excellent assistance for a late check-in. More than adequate simple room as expected... But what wasn't expected was and incredibly good mattress. Seriously good quality for a budget motel. Bravo on really good budget motel. Oh and the music next door on a Saturday night stopped bang on 11pm ;).

Door doesn't lock i was scared

The spa suite charged at $160 didn't come with a plug so it was no use. There was milk for 1 coffee I called only to be informed it was getting delivered today. I asked for a refund of $10 for the milk issue and nothing! We will never stay again.

No staff at check-in, no wardrobe or even hanging rail in room, no reception on baby computer monitor tv, no access from main road.... No wifi... No stars. Sorry guys but this is well below par.

I could have given 5+ for bedroom. Perfect bed comfortable, good size TV, bedroom walls are strong colourful bricks, it is a good renovated room. Bathroom is a bit out of date but OK...

We stayed here for one night. It was decent, stocked up with towels and clean cups and what not. Although the loud noises coming from people screaming, and the cars driving past, were definitely something I hated in this experience. Beds and pillows were made as if they were rocks.. shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a good couple of weeks. Must say, apart from all that, was alright, wouldn't highly recommend staying here though.

Booked a slightly larger room to sleep myself, my wife and our baby. Arrived for check in around 3pm to find check in unmanned. Call the number provided on the wall to be passed around to a couple of people, they seemed to have no idea who I was and said “just take room 1 the key is in the room”, so we went in and discovered this was not the room we had booked as it only had the one bed. We were heading out for a special event so I tried calling 4 times but the number wouldn’t even connect so we ended up just having to get ready and leave. I tried another 2 times to no avail while we were out. We arrived back from the event late and so check out still unmanned and concluded we would just have to deal with it as we couldn’t leave. Luckily we had bought something for the baby to sleep on but it meant putting her on the ground. Noticed a sign on the wall saying in the morning just put the key in the key locker - when we checked out we followed these instructions it appears reception is NEVER manned. Would never stay here again.

Missus kicked me out again and I needed a place to stay that's where I went

It was adequate, but as an interstate visitor, over for our son's wedding, lacked some small things like a bath mat and no-one available to get us one. Small detail but disappointed.

It didn’t have any face washer or bath mat or toaster no spare blanket I had to wash my face with the chux cloth that was in the kitchen no wine glasses or anything like that very disappointing

Absolutely the worst experience we have ever had.

As a motor inn - it isn’t the best.... But it isn’t the best - maybe....
