Had lunch there today unfortunately we won’t be coming back very ordinary had Thia beef salad it had no taste at all

Thought I'd treat myself to lunch for my birthday today. Have to say I was a little disappointed. We have had plenty of meals here in the past and never had any issues. The vibe is always good, service great but today not so much. The duck spring rolls were very nice. The garlic bread was fine but I do think you need to note on the menu that it has a balsamic drizzle. Buffalo wings had no spice to them at all. We love Buffalo wings and these didn't rate sorry. The beef burger was disappointing. Meat was tough and unseasoned(i did mention this when our plates were being cleared), pickles needed more time in the brine, onion jam was very nice. For $26 I expect bigger to be honest. Chicken burger we asked for no slaw, jalapenos or burger sauce and asked for a small amount of lettuce instead. No lettuce for chicken burger! A couple of leaves isn't going to short a salad for another person unless you weigh and pre portion it. Chicken was okay but could've had more cheese. Overall not great. No malice in this review just honest feedback. And yeah, well probably be back again and I'll just get something different.

Booked for 5 adults and 10 year old for lunch on Sunday. Celebrating a 59th birthday. Very comfortable seating and spacious. Quite a variety of meals and drinks on the menu. They cater for seniors meals and prices. Nice atmosphere. We'll definitely go again.

No stars let me tell you would be sufficient. What a disaster of a place. Don't even ask what the point of making a booking is. If you are late due to car accident on the Monash, then bad luck you get treated like you don't belong. Walk in 10 minutes after booking time and get told no sorry your table isn't available now. Then it's decided they will try find us a table, mind you with an attitude at this stage. So lucky for us we get put in the middle of the doorway. We go to order, some starters, main and drinks, a beer and a coke. Nobody ordered a coke without sugar so why do we get one at the table, send that back, a waiter pops past is this an apology for the mix up? no it's to remind us they need the table by 7.30.now the mains come out now we feel even more rushed as we get told again we have to be out at 7.30. The burger size is like Macca's and wait hang on, our appetizers where are they? Oh now we have them during the main, arancini balls the size of a plum and the Caprese Salad (tomatoes and mozzarella) 5 slices of tomato and 3 pieces of mozzarella spread on a plate. The food is of average quality and the service staffs attitude is rude and dismissive. Please avoid at all costs. Literally just money hungry, quantity over quality. Plenty of pubs around, don't bother with this one, the lack of warmth and customer service from staff is appalling.

Food was hot and tasty. Service was very good and helpful, especially the young guy who serviced our table. He knew when we needed something and would do the task in a quick professional manner.

Lovely Bistro - probably the best in / around our area. Staff are very nice and attentive. Food was very good, albeit a little pricey (although we at on a public holiday so 15% surcharge applied). All-in-all a very enjoyable exprience.

Great little pub hidden around the corner in Beaconsfield. Been many times & the food is always great quality. Highly recommend the Calamari salad & the risottos. The Parmas have very generous servings. Great to see that they had a live band & flags up for Australia Day 🇦🇺🐨 staff were lovely can’t wait to come back again!

Expensive for not much food. But good fresh nicely presented food. Fine wine and drinks selection.

Six of us adults for evening meal on Saturday 7th January. Great location and setting. Great food with plenty of choices. Great food quality and presentation. Prices reasonable. Staff happy and smiling - wonderful Everything was great. 5 Stars

Can't fault the staff, but I was very disappointed with my meal. I didn't get chips with my meal and asked for extra salad. I didn't get any extra salad and only half a cherry tomato! Coffee and cake for the people at my table came separately and there was quite a wait, only came because we asked for the drinks. Best thing about the pub was the metal sculpture out in beer garden.

Private function in marqee. Lots of room, lots of great finger food, easy access to the bar and great service. They even provided great live music. Really good venue and obviously well regarded by the number of patrons inside the venue. Update: have returned many times and not disappointed. Food is wonderful, staff very helpful, and just a wonderful space. Love the rhino at the entrance.

The food was enjoyed by us all and the service was fantastic. However the bill was confusing as they charged full price for the beers even though they were ordered during happy hour. This was refunded but when checking again at home we realised we were charged normal price for the Wednesday steak special of 42 instead of 30. 4 steaks were ordered but only 3 were discounted. Disappointing end to our night.

Havnt been here for ages and so much has changed. Lunch in the bistro was fantastic with actual table service in a club. The Aussie parma was the thickest I've ever had, we couldn't finish our meals. You have to try. More thai food at my youtube channel @chilishot5760

Been going to the Cardi for years , and always been happy with the food. Unfortunately lm not as happy anymore. We went there last night and while the food is still of quality but the serving sizes are not up to standard. There were 8 of us and all meals were small in size which is very disappointing considering the price we paid. Gone are the days at the Cardi and ordering a meal and being totally satisfied, l was still hungry after finishing. This is not the first time this has happened , but we had another visit hoping it was back to standard size pub meals but it wasn’t! I suspect this is a change of owner / management situation. You want to get bums on seats you have to feed your customers accordingly!

Wife and I had Christmas Lunch this year great food staff very friendly and service was excellent seeing the amount of people there

Booked and paid $300 for Christmas Lunch plus $100 for drinks.Food not up to standard we expected.We were on table 18 had table beside us was so noisy people were leaving without finishing their lunch.Asked to be moved to somewhere quieter.Was told no as we would muck up table plans.Eventually spoke to another manager and was moved.Other people around us were walking saying they wouldn’t be back.When we were leaving my partner asked to see manager and told her of the situation she said it was Christmas get over and if we didn’t like it don’t come back .I called on hotels and battleships for 30 years never been treated like that .Not the way to treat customers

Absolutely fantastic lunch yesterday. Love this place , I had the barramundi just a little overcooked, a little more burnt butter would have been nice ,but it was tasty . 8 of us and everyone loved their meals. Mocktail was delishes. Thanks cardi staff love you all

Needs more disabled parking bays. Food was nice, but wouldn't chose from the Christmas menu again and not just because they don't have it year round Came for mid week lunch, food was good. Believe it would be even better in the evening. We'll be trying that soon, so stay tuned 12 months later and will add. If you want a steak well done, no blood. Don't bother, still mooing. Chips and vegetables good though

Our family and friends have been going to this hotel bistro for years now and always must say it’s top quality food and service always. Highly recommend it. Keep up the great work guys.

Edit.. from the venue response. Very sure this was your venue. Walked in past the rhino. We were seated outside in the alfreso bistro area. Ordered the buritto bowl, and the bistro very cramped and dark. Added a photo to show the experience was at your venue. Worrying that my actual experience doesn't seem to match with your comment. Maybe as the venue was busy procedure was changed? My experience of your indoor bistro space was that it was dark and cramped as I walked through to order food and drinks. First visit here. Was greeted by staff at the entrance to the bistro. There was no table service, so I was directed to order at the bar. Staff at bar, and for the rest of the visit, went from new and learning to rude and direct. Wasn't a great staff atmosphere. The food was so so.. but was pub style. Wouldn't be back in a hurry. Bistro was dark and cramped. Pity as this venue has promise.

Very disappointed with the service and the meals!! Ordered seniors chicken schnitzel and chips, my wife ordered roast pork and roast potatoes. When my meal arrived I was shocked, dozen chips and chicken schnitzel was tiny , not worth $22. I was still hungry afterwards.!! Won’t be eating there again.

A group of us went to the Open Mic event on Sunday,great day awesome talent and staff were friendly and helpful.We will definitely be back . Good food and service ,highly recommend.

I’m afraid we won’t be going back to Cardinia hotel until prices can be adjusted accordingly, we spent $168 fir 2 people we had steak that is far from great and boiled veggies, a pot of beer and a cocktail that happened to be in ‘happy hour’ period, example of comparison we had dinner at Rockpool crown Perth and Melbourne and spent $196, had 2 cocktails , steak , 2 beautiful side dishes and a lobster entree, with courtesy bread. This is for 2 people.for an extra $30 what would you choose here? We just feel your a pub charge accordingly yes but please compare yourselves to a finer dining experience and adjust your prices . You’re slightly outdated and underwhelmed at these prices.

We’ve been given a wonderful welcome to lunch today. Four seniors - we come together to celebrate family ties. And a lifetime of stories. Renee gave us a great reception and took her time to validate our requests. And even when we delayed our request she came back to us with a chuckle and a smile. We will definitely return and hopefully Renee will be here to give us the best service.

Sadly has taken a hit to quality lately. Bland parma, undercooked and under-seasoned small serving of chips as sides. Beef burger patty overcooked to the point of hard char again small small side of chips. Lots of staff floating around but very infrequent service to tables. Ordered 2nd round of drinks which never arrived

Nice pub. Only 2 female toilets, one with a door that doesn't shut and both really soiled.

Love this place. The food is awesome, you won't find better in this area, welcoming friendly staff, great prices and atmosphere. Great local pub

On Saturday night I came with my family for a dinner/catchup and there was a young man who looked about 15 or 16, and I could tell he was new he was trying his best and provided amazing service and was very polite. The food was also very tasty! I would recommend the chicken parama and garlic bread.

The Saltimbocca was not saltimbocca. I paid $36 for less than 100gms of veal which was more like scallopini drowning in some kind of gravy. If you don't know what something is or know how to cook it, leave it off the menu. Horrible experience, bad food.

We had our daughter’s 21st birthday party in the sports bar. Paige, the event manager, was fabulous! She was fantastic in helping us plan everything, from the food to the decorations and everything in between. The food was absolutely beautiful! And all the staff were really friendly and helpful! I can’t recommend Paige and the Cardinia Park hotel enough! Thank you Paige and all the staff!

The food was amazing, service was great and the staff were friendly and know the menu. Speaking of menu it was refreshing to be able to read without a magnifying glass!!!! Highly recommended and looking forward to our next visit!

This is what $55 gets you. The food has kept us coming back for years to the cardi but it’s gone down hill a bit. The service is fantastic and the staff genuinely care but the food could use a bit of improvement. We’ll come again but I won’t bother with the steak. Get a parmi instead

Had my 21st here in the sports bar and it was fantastic, couldn’t fault anything. Everything was the way I asked and service for both the bar and food was perfect, highly recommend for any function. Ask for paige.

Cardinia Park Hotel is situated in a serene and quiet location for a pleasant and enjoyable meal or celebration. Parking is plentiful. Staff attentive and provide execellent service. Meals are value for money and menu presents a variety of taste. High recommended

I recently visited Cardinia Park Hotel, and while the food was excellent, there were some aspects of the service that could use improvement. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, and the overall quality of the food was fantastic. It’s clear the kitchen team knows their craft, and this alone made the experience worthwhile. However, it was a busy night, and the service didn't quite match the food's quality. It took a while for staff to take our orders, and there seemed to be a lack of attentiveness when it came to clearing tables and getting new drink orders. I noticed several staff walking past tables that needed to be cleared. A small suggestion: returning to the kitchen with empty hands is a missed opportunity to keep things running smoothly. Despite this, I’d still recommend Cardinia Park Hotel for the food alone—just be prepared for a potentially slower service on a busy evening.

This is the worst food and service ever. Food is bland or cold, takes ways too long to come out, sides such as gravy often forgotten. Staff are completely useless

With previous owners the place would've been pumping. Very quiet tonight. Only 2 or 3 wait staff. Not offered a second Beveridge. Meals were slow. Have reported this before and no improvement made at all. Service really let's the place down.

Father’s Day Lunch in the Marquee. Lovely atmosphere, service was great, staff lovely and food excellent. The staff went above and beyond working in the rain to bring our meals in. Excellent day !!

We had a large group of 22 for Father's day lunch. Meals were delicious and staff were very attentive and friendly. It was an extremely busy day and we had our meals in a timely manner. The system of taking names and having a tab for orders worked really well for a big group.

Food was great but very slow on drink service.
