The customer service at Kmart Fountain Gate is very poor and disrespectful, I was returning an item, the girl who was working there was very annoying and disrespectful, I’ve told her supervisor too, she was just making excuses. Customers are paying for items, they don’t get it for free, so if an item is against the return policy, they should explain to the customer clearly, they shouldn’t show disrespectfulness. Hope Kmart solve this issue at Fountain Gate.

Kmart at fountain gate is pretty cool for the fact that it is open 24 hours. Yep, just like the one at burwood, it is 24 hours, 7 days of the week. And just like the one at burwood, it's massive and has 2 entrances/exits. And it's just like every other kmart store, featuring your favourite kmart/anko products, a wide range of clothing, toys, books and more. So this kmart is great for those late night shops for whatever you need. So, kmart fountain gate is great!

Employee at the self serve tried to give my hoodie to other people after removing the tag after I had paid for it and very low stock of alot of things.

K-Mart fountain gate possibly has the most worst customer service you could ever ask for.. the workers are beyond lazy it’s actually crazy to think a large company like this would hire people like that.. multiple times me and my partner have asked many of the workers there to check for items in the back and they always say “we don’t have it” even tho it says there is 10 or more items available at this store.. I have asked one of the workers there if they could check the back for some hot wheels and I have given this response - “we have it but I’d have to put some boxes down to get it soooo”… Soo what? Do your job your paid for and provide for the customer but no at Kmart fountain gate the workers only priorities themselves. Me and my partner visited Kmart fountain gate last night to purchase one products which says it’s in stock, we were greeted by a lady with no “hi” or “how are you” “how can I help?” Just with a straight face who just stood there and stared at us.. we asked her if this product was in stock kindle, she just took a quick flick at the phone and said no.. Even though it says in stock she didn’t want to check the back at all. Just said “no we don’t have it”. Okay let’s say they didn’t update their system correctly and the stock levels are wrong, which seems to always be the case, there’s never been a time where any of the employees have checked the back room for stock. Why can’t they go check the back or tell us a store that does carry stock? Also to add to this they never seem to pick up any phone calls. I would love to name and shame the employees who are effin lazy but I will keep that for another day. Hopefully Kmart fountain gate can improve.

Terrible service via phone. Have tried calling for over an hour and neither of the two departments I'm ringing will answer. I have to drive 45 minutes to this store and want to ensure the product I've put aside is still there as the website states it's out of stock.

Really should wait for customers to leave the trolley bay before pushing more in. It was almost as if we were invisible. Same thing happened walking around the centre. Trolley collectors thinking they own the centre

It's too confusing trying to figure out how to get into this place after hours. Save yourself the trouble if you haven't been here before.

Went to Kmart Cranbourne to buy a toolbox since the website said it's available in the store. I was turned back saying its unavailable and order online. Placed an online order which was delivered from Cranbourne (same store that sent me back saying unavailable). I opened the package up to find a broken packaging and missing items inside the tool box. 2 trips to 2 separate stores and still no product

The makeup and cosmetics section is a nightmare. The walkways are narrowed and it's extremely crowded. Most of the cosmetics available are low quality, and there is little-to-no brand diversity for makeup. Often you'll find numerous produces that have already been opened by customers (like perfumes) that aren't testers. Also a lot of make has a security lock on it because of how bad shoplifters can be in the area.

Excellent cotton fitted sheets. Ordered online, pick up was easy, product tops!

Had a wonderful experience today with Kmart, Porcha helped me with my phone enquiry and has such a positive and helpful attitude. Excellent job! Totally worth 5 stars!!

We spent 4 hours tonight shopping for Halloween and our new home. We would've been struggling to find homeware stuff if it wasn't for 2 amazing staff members. Francis was just phenomenal. Always happy to help with a smile. She went above and beyond to help us find our items. So was the other girl with dark hair in homewares. They were always pleasant and made our shopping experience a great one. Thanks ladies :)

I didn't even want to give 1 star. But I have a few things to mention that I hope gets taken into consideration. Firstly, I am so disgusted with a certain someone working within the change rooms. Occured around 1:30pm. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. A good friend of mine and myself, were borderline accused of stealing. Wasn't allowed to carry most of my property in the change room, all I had on me was a small bag enough toom to fit a purse and phone at most. Which was confusing, given the fact that I said I had 3 clothing items I'm wanting to try on. I wasn't allowed to bring my drink or a pair of shorts that i said i was going to get regardless. The lady snatched my clothing and held up a piece of ladies clothing (g-string) within a height were people could see and hear. As there was also someone behind me which saw. Not only I was publicly humiliated. But in an utterly disgusted and makes me sick, see the way I was treated by that older lady. Not the first time either, i shop a lot at kmart, but everytime i see her shes always super rude!!! Theres no excuse, next time I will be voicing my opinion loud and clear and see if she likes to be publicly humiliated! I'm respectful to workers always but this lady pushed my limits.

Rude staff.Serves people differently according to their origin and colour.I think everyone has the right to be treated with respect.I didn't see that today.Feeling sad that this was a senior employee who works there.She knows how double standard works.I think the management staff should do a scrutiny when selecting people doing customer service.This happened around 1300 hrs if the management want to check regarding this.😶😶

they said they are 24 hours open and then all the entries of the shopping Center are closed so you can’t get into the shop. What’s the point of open 24 hours then. Close early at least your staff can have a rest

I enjoyed everytime I needed to spend money and nothing was open I would happily just go shopping for friends and fir myself. Always open! :)

Everything you need in one place at reasonable cost. Can't fault the place. Shop with confidence. Returns with no quibble with receipt.

Terrible staff, harassment by staff, very angry

I have been searching (for weeks!) for the true knit pants in any colour because I love the quality of them so much. I came into Kmart after a long and stressful day at work, hoping to find these pants so I can stay warm! HUGE shoutout to Magdalena, Alisa & Gemma. I thought customer service was dead but these 3 girls completely catered to me, all helping me try to find these pants in my size. I felt overwhelmed with support! Even though we did not find the pants, I was still so grateful beyond words for all the assistance! I was not expecting it. Cannot recommend this Kmart enough! These girls deserve endless positive recognition! Thank you all so much again. I was sad that I did not find the pants in my size (still looking to this day! XD) but the AMAZING customer service stil had me leaving with a huge smile on my face. My heart is so full, thank you girls so much.

My experience at this Kmart store was extremely disappointing. Upon entering the store at night, I encountered a female staff member who exhibited rude and accusatory behavior. Despite having scanned my items, she proceeded to pat down the pants I had purchased and called security to inspect my brand new, empty handbag. Additionally, she demanded that I empty my bags, insinuating that I was attempting to steal things . This treatment was not only humiliating but entirely unwarranted, as nothing was found.

Maz that works in the fitting room is a rude lady that shouldn’t be working at all !!!! Very disrespectful

Overall a good experience… however I did notice something that made me question the staff moral. A man of colour walked through with his toddler daughter and were stopped to check the girl’s backpack. The Man seemed quite uncomfortable in light of this, the lady found nothing. Nor did this person looks suspicious in any nature. Following this several people walk-through, with backpacks, bags and prams full of stuff - all white people- and did not get questioned or pulled up about checking bags. Very disappointing. A bit shocked to see this kind of act…

I walked into Kmart looking for some help to find a pot I can use for butter chicken and other things, I was heavily lost until Sean came up and started to help me, Sean took his time and carefully explained the different products and recommended me the best one suited to my needs. Good Job Sean!

Went to the Fountain Gate 24 hour Kmart in the early morning, but could not enter the building. Tried calling, the auto phone attendant cheerfully told me that they were open 24 hours, but when I went through the menu to try to speak to a staff member, but nobody answered the phone.

Ordered 2 collectable Lego McLaren Senna edition sets to save 1 and build 1 and had 1 cancelled on me as they only had 1 left and arrived in such poor condition as it was cut open with a box cutter and taped together to send out. Called the store and was told that it was the last one they had so they sent it out anyway. Now not even sure if all the parts are in the box and will have to return without a replacement as they are now sold out! Poor poor delivery service and appalled that they would even send out in this condition.

Kmart always has a lot to offer. This is a large store with often good bargains available. We don’t like the newer layouts of most of the Kmart stores. Many of the ceiling vents of this particular store look very dirty.

Went for shopping and after spending $150 check out could not spit out receipt after asking for another receipt the lady was so rude and unable to print duplicate and doubtful asking did I paid or not Completely frustrating not happy with the customer service

Appalled at the fact once at checkout you can forget about using online banking. Went to every other shop at fountain gate was working fine. Finished up at Kmart and had to resort to a credit card to pay for my items because I couldn’t access anything online. So cheers kmart for wasting my time.

Extremely lazy young tall caucasian boy at the checkout, didn't want to do anything or assist me with the buggy self checkout. Do better at hiring seriously, atleast do a decent interview before hiring such useless lazy people.

I went there to exchange few items we brought. The girl who was in the service counter said that they can’t return the full amount of exchanged items as I have used a voucher of $89 when I was purchasing those. But the bill value was $320+ something. It’s not that we bought stuff for $89. We spent more than double times of that. Her excuse was that it’s their returning policy and their service manager who is said to be someone called Jade has advised her to not refund money for the exchanged items which was around $100. What she said is she can only refund me $11 after deducting the amount of the voucher. Voucher was taken beforw when we returned an item which we got as a gift. We got the voucher because we returned that item to the store. Not that kmart has given us a free voucher. Even if they have such policy she should have informed me without starting the exchange process. How can a well known business like kmart have such an unfair policy. Even if they have such one they should have displayed that or communicated at the moment they give the voucher when we exchange something. So disappointed with the staff.

Always love coming here but today I was a little disheartened… I walked past the change rooms and noticed a worker talking in a very rude tone to a lady who clearly didn’t speak English all that well. The lady didn’t seem to understand her and the worker continued to raise her voice at her. This behaviour was disgusting to witness. The workers always seem to be really nice but this lady should not be in customer service….

I was looking for the Pokemon 151 Booster Bundle and had known that online stock levels may not be accurate, hence why I had courtesy called the store 45 minutes before my sister was able to pick it up. I spoke directly with a female staff member at the Service Desk who said they had 10 in store but could not hold them hence why my sister was going to physically get them for me as soon as she can. On her arrival, the staff member said they had never had it in stock and questioned where I got my information from (I used to work at a big retail company and I know the process of being transferred to the correct person hence why I made sure that I spoke to someone at the service desk as these pokemon cards are usually stocked there) I have phone records of the time of call etc. Just disappointed at how misleading and inaccurate delivery of information. A waste of time!

staff is so rude and accusing us of making a mess in the store. I was trying to purchase something near the toy section of the store and I couldnt do it in peace. we were with a group of people and us older girls got accused of making a mess because when we were just peacefully shopping. my younger brother lost his phone in the store so we were trying to look for it moving stuff around. As we went to collect our phone from security he REFUSED to give it back until we told him that we were looking for the phone not making a mess. we asked him where he found the phone and he refused to tell as he gave it back hesitantly. RIDICOULS WILL NOT BE COMING HERE AGAIN. RUDE STAFF RUDE SECUIRTY

Are workers allowed to grab someone’s backpack off them and go through it/ pull everything out? Touch the contents of a personal bag?? I watched a young man (teenager) who look humiliated as the lady grabbed his bag, accused him of stealing and made a scene and went through his belongings piece by piece… they found nothing… the young man remained cooperative and stood there quietly with his head down I felt really sorry for him and wanted to give him a hug… I watched the whole thing start to finish and was shocked that the workers are actually allowed to take a bag off someone and go through it? Isn’t that risking the worker? What if there is a sharp knife or needle in the bag? It didn’t seem right to me…. I left after that it made me uncomfortable

Worst experience today at returns . If you are having a bad day Mitchell , doesn’t mean you ruin others too. Extremely rude and arrogant . If there is a policy and customer wants to know about it , explain it well please, there is no need to be rude and disrespectful.

Very well organized, you can get anything everything here, less pricey. I went there for dog toys, omg so cute mini toys, not strong enough for dog who likes to play rough but cheap rate so can afford many, clicked alot of pictures to share with friends

Items were same as other kmarts. Many items like Iron etc were sold out. The staff told later that some times get sold out as soon as they become available. Good to see 24hr thing!

Bought a bike for my daughter and paid for assembly. However rear brake was not assembled correctly and tires were deflated, we can't return the bike since we have lost the receipt. When we called the store they said they can't help it and they wouldn't recommend buying a bike from Kmart, seriously!! Massively disappointed 😞😞
