Nightcap at Ferntree Gully Hotel

The rooms was wonderful with perfect air conditioning comfortable beds and a clean lovely room. The staff service was excellent and I will stay there again and would happily recommend others to do the same

Best motel that we stayed in many years. Good customer service and helpful receptionist. The room was very clean and a newly renovated toilet. The room was in good size, big space, and more than we expected. The best thing is that the view from the motel is awesome and mind-blowing🥰 will come for another stay in the motel with my family and definitely recommend to family and friends 🧡 perfect for family with kids and all ages. Safe place with security facilities.

Modern and clean.

This place is good value for money. My room was better than I expected based on the pictures...very comfortable, and everything you need in a hotel room. The water and milk in the fridge was a nice touch. I was also impressed with the housekeeping team, each evening I returned to a clean room and made bed.

We stayed for 5 nights in a queen studio with sofa. The rooms here were renovated about 12 months ago. Very comfortable bed/ pillows, huge rainfall shower head and great water pressure, good AC, clean, spacious and suited us for our stay. Walking distance to Ferntree Gully Hotel, local supermarkets and railway stations. Easy walking along the Ferny Creek Trail or the Belgrave Rail Trail to picnic grounds and walking / hiking trails at the foot of the Dandenong Range.. Very reasonably priced when booked direct.

I stayed recently for 5 nights After checking in and finding a trail of ants through the room, I made the manager aware and she was very quick to change my room for me, my experience with the staff has been fantastic, they always make sure you are happy and well looked after. Location is brilliant, close to everything I needed during my stay. Lots of local tourist attractions within a short driving distance. Fantastic pub next door which gives you a discount if you're staying at the hotel. Rooms are cleaned and well presented and are fitted with smart TVs. The carpark is also secure which gives complete peace of mind. I will definitely be back!

Great motel with many local amenities and restaurants nearby. Spent a few nights there while working at a nearby farm and had access to near by gyms and climbing gyms.

Nice and clean

Booked here as the heart of Mt dandenong was booked out during the long weekend but the distance is really close to the ranges so wasnt fussed. It's also secure as it's gated and cannot enter the area without a pass to scan. Rooms are renovated and nice. Beds are comfortable and linen used is nice. Initially, the star rating was turning me off from booking but now that I have stayed there - unsure why. All in all it is nice and comfortable. Oh and the front desk lady was lovely too. :)

Clean and correct place to stay, nothing fancy but does the job. Great town.

私のオーストラリアでの初の夜がここでした。直前の予約で遅い時間のチェックインになってしまい、通常の手順でのチェックインが出来なかったようでしたが親切に対応してもらいました。 部屋はモダンでとてもセンスの良いインテリアでした。2人で過ごすには広さも十分です。 5泊しましたが、毎日気持ち良いベットメイクがされていました。残念なのは床の掃除がきちんとされてなかった事です。でもそれ以外はとても良いホテルでした。

My family and I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was fantastic. Very modern, full kitchen and plenty of space in the lounge and dinning space. 2 well appointed bathrooms and very quiet, did not hear any traffic from the near by road. Very modern and went beyond our expectations, with TV's in every room. Great place to stay when visiting our family in Upper Ferntree Gully. Would stay again.

Receptionist was nice & helpful on arrival. Our room was nice & clean. Great location & price. We had a beautiful buffet tea at the Ferntree Gully Hotel next door. Would definitely stay again.

Great location , staff friendly and helpful , the room was very clean and quieter than expected. My only issues were the bed on casters that wouldn’t stay still , I couldn’t get onto the wifi and the QR code for food took me to a link that said its not working

The only down side of the room was the bed was so soft, like a big marshmallow with no support, I could not sleep well on either of the 2 nights I stayed, and ended up sore in my lower back, it was hard to roll over on the bed as I just seemed to sink into wherever I tried to move :( , in the end I left a little after 6am on the last morning instead of close to 10am check out , and had a sleep when I got home. The room was nice , heater works well , the en suite was clean and worked well and the hot water was almost instant from the taps .

Really like the room, clean, nicely finished and comfy beds. Some flexibility with check in when we were a half hour early would have been appreciated.

I am pretty sure that we got the biggest unit in here. 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom is a dream for a family of four. Modern furniture and great location to Puffing Billy Train. The only thing is leaking at the master room. Hope you found the bowl on the ground. Get the handman to seal the joints

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last night. When arriving I had realised that I had booked the wrong date. The staff were more than amazing as I was already stressed out from my day. They 2 amazing ladies at the desk , helped me to get my refund back through Agoda, and went above and beyond to help me. The beds to top it off were probably the most comfortable beds I have slept in! Rooms were clean and spacious. I would recommend anyone to stay at this accommodation.

The rooms are great. Showers are nice and beds are heavenly soft like clouds. Only issue I've had is no microwave so have had to constantly boil water and use a mug and spend 20 mins heating a bottle for my baby.

What a waste of my money. Receptionist was rude. Took a shower immediately after checking in and dried off with their towels and was disgusted to realise the towel was filthy at one end. Bathroom not clean enough. Bed is on wheels and moves around - poses significant danger. I had to check out at 5.30am after 1 night because I couldn't stand being there for another day. Had to look for better and forfeited my 2nd night.

I had to stay close by the Angliss Hospital for a gravely ill relative and had to extend several times. The staff were great and really looked after us. The room was neat, clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, and the bathroom was well maintained. Reception available to 8pm. Accommodation costs were well priced. It has central access to Fern tree Gully, Boronia and Wantirna areas. The motel is situated with the local hotel, with a Bistro available. There 3 function rooms available between them. Nice Room, comfortable bed, clean rooms. The beds are on castors which have no brakes. I am elderly with bad knees so has potential to be a bit dangerous. Great deal in restaurant for drink and food if you stay here. Food was excellent and hot and good quality. We are there two nights. Only criticism is lack of toaster or microwave. Some people do like a slice of toast and not have to go out in the morning to look for breakfast. The hotel doesn't offer it either.

DO not stay here i!!! I booked a room for my daughter and i after we had no where to stay i showed my ID on my phone and the transaction on my phone bank account the lady would not give me the key and left us vulnerable with no where to stay she was the manager what duty of care absoutley disgusting then they would not refund my money a nice lady was trying to help me get the key whom was having a meal at the restraunt she thought the manager behaviour was disgusting no words can describe her behaviour and i hope the owner looks at the video footage i have contacted ACAF on behalf of my matter she should be shamed also no refund makes no sense she took her personal problems out on innocent patrons who employs people like this!!!!! Karma will get you lady its coming your way!!! I Showed my licence and i showed my bank statement with my card associated with it there reply is not true check your cameras! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! YOU WONT GET IT BACK OR A ROOM TO STAY HOTEL The hotel is dodgy and must be pocketing money or somthing as its happened to my friend aswell!

We stayed for 13 nights and found it very clean and comfortable, the room was very well serviced daily. Lovely coming back to a clean room everyday. Only criticism…we feel the room should have a microwave and toaster as most motels supply these items these days, also we did have to buy coat hangers as well.

There was a noisy party on the balcony outside of my room. Literally outside of my door! I spoke to reception twice but nothing changed. I have stayed in thousands of hotels nothing remotely close to this'has ever happened before.

Rooms are a good size, bed was very comfortable. Room service was very quick and decent food at great prices. Close to the Dandenong ranges. Only 2 things that could do with improvement are: The shower needed a decent clean. The shower had a large shower head but unfortunately very low water pressure. Would stay again

Absolutely fantastic this motel. Fantastic service, even down to the breakfast boxes. Studio room was pristine, and the king coil beds so comfortable. So simple to book and the discounts for the hotel were fantastic. Reasonably priced for a short stay which we wanted. Close proximity to the beautiful dandenongs. We will stay again, very impressed. The receptionist we dealt with was fantastic, great friendly customer service. We highly recommend night cap ferntree gully.

My partner and I stay here before we gone homeless, we just try to stay here again as it closed to work and can walk from here, we live in this area before going homeless they claim house poily we can't have anyone stay from 10km in this area l, that how lose money and business plus we have no where to go the put us on the streets they was very rude to me as well I am austistic and sometimes don't mean what I say

No complaints for a motel up in Ferntree Gully!

Bathroom Very cold

This was my second time booking with nightcap,the first one is in Ashburton,that one was nice so I booked my stay again,but this time is ferntrr gally nightcap.i was really disappointed with our stay,we got a room that has a door(locked)to the guest next door,we can hear every noise they make,it's loud by just talking in a normal voice,it's not thick wall in between. The other dissapointment is while having shower it's smells like drain coming out of the bathroom when you turn on the fan in the bathroom. Very dissapointing,will never come back here again.

Arrived to find very basic old and dated accommodation. Cigaret buts everywhere outside. No microwave. Windows were dirty as were the skirting boards. Food on the walls. Dead insects in the ceiling shade. Rooms/bathroom not cleaned some one else hair in shower. Pretty shabby. Not an experience l would want to repeat.

Good hotel/motel, room service is great. The bed sheets are straightened when you leave and there is an air conditioner which helps to regulate the temp in the room. Going to sleep is comfortable and soft. Personally I think there was too many pillows on the bed but doesn't really matter too much. The bins gets emptied which is a time saver because after an long day you don't really have time to do that. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for any circumstance.

Very poor service ,staff was very rude ,we stayed for four days and everyday we have to make a request to clean the room and fresh towels and glasses there was no cutlery in the rooms ,beds were horrible they had wheels which cannot be locked and they were moving everywhere in the room ,air con was not working when they were told they didn't even came to check please don't waste you time and money

I had a very bad experience with The accommodation manager -Kelly. Very Racist and rude. She used the word “Bark” and kept raising her voice. I stayed many times in this hotel, other staff have been very nice and friendly. ALH company should take actions against her. It’s unprofessional, irresponsible and against policy and procedure of hospitality.

Terrible experience! When I got to the hotel to check in they REFUSED to give me my key, someone else tried to check into my room who I didn’t know who, because of that I wasn’t allowed to stay there when I had already PAID for the room. They could not offer me a refund. On top of that my friend got robbed in front of the building and the security wouldn’t do anything!!! I travelled 4 hours and had no where to stay would never come here.

Building seems to be falling apart but for the price paid the room is acceptable and clean.

Very happy with premises. They were very clean and spacious. Provisions of tea/coffee etc and bathroom supplies were in excess of what we required. Beds very comfortable. All staff helpful and cheerful.

Booked with a “third party” app and it said I was able to check in late at night . Upon arrival no one was there and I was unable to check into my room. Was told by the person on the phone that night that I would be receiving a refund and two weeks later still hadn’t . Waste of money and time .

The motel itself was lovely, clean and bedding was comfortable BUT there was no microwave, no plates and no cutlery which made our life difficult to eat with the $80 worth of Chinese we ordered, and only 3 sugars for a room that is meant to house 3 people for a night, was a bit disappointed.

Lovely clean room bed was very comfortable. Bit noisy upstairs could hear them walking around and even going to the toilet. But overall a good place.
