Cooper's Sparking in bottle (Cheep). Great location, plenty of room, TAB, footy, very quiet for some reason. Fav pub in Sydney.

Very very RUDE staff, worst customer service I had ever experienced!!!! I won’t come back to this place! Chef is just mean to every single person!

Rude staff that discriminate against the elderly with issues and the disabled. This is from the worker and the so called manager.... It's only thanks to this man's kindness that the issue didn't go any further. Shame on you

Reliable quality lunch menu and very fast service. Atmosphere relaxing. Good for a catch up with a friend.

Well priced food for dinner

Had lunch with my partner here on Sat. Such an extensive menu of yummy food to choose from which was great. The chef that was on that day was amazing, as our food came out quick, was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Will def be going back there for a meal next time we're in Sydney.

The mixed grill was excellent-well done (but rare, which was what I asked for)

We came for dinner, meals were huge and fantastic prices, do yourself a favour and visit them!!

A wonderful place to be! One little thing reveals the whole woeld-- my favourite lemon lime bitters is done properly here, which I haven't seen for the whole month exploring bars nearly every night in City!!

Stopped by for the $20 rump steak, ordered medium rare and it was cooked more medium well. The peppercorn sauce tasted like it was made with instant gravy mix, it was disappointing

Great location (walking distance) excellent food (Indian Lamb Curry) well priced, appealingly presented and delicious dish, slightly spicy with sufficient curry flavoured sauce. Wine was tasty. Service was efficient. Staff was friendly and efficient. Great for tourist or group catch up.

Good delicious food (when I finally got it), staff at the bar friendly, sport on TV's throughout the venue all ruined by the extremely rude chef who basically refused to take my order. Just because I'm not a local apparently I'm not worthy of eating at your hotel? Why I didn't walk out on the spot I'll never know.

I just stop by for a beer and food. Simple pub with simple pub food. The quality of the food is not so good. I wish the chef 👩‍🍳 could smile and be a bit friendly. Please try to use fresh food , especially seafood. Thanks

Came passed the pub and as I am a football fan asked if the owner is a supporter. Apparently there used to be a red a blue scarf behind the bar,so yes the old owner was a fan .

Out of the pubs on this square Id say this is the best for out of towners who want a quiet meal and a drink. Coca cola on tap which is great

The bistro is really worth a visit pretty good value and the prices are OK as well.

This place strikes me as being the essence of an Australian pub. TAB in one corner, pokies out the back, a kitchen in the main bar, comfortable seats and no craft beer. I developed a habit last year when I was staying nearby of popping in for an evening drink before going to bed. This time, I had dinner - a delicious scotch fillet with a pile of chips and a fresh salad. The steak was maybe cut a bit thin, so not quite at the medium rare I was hoping for.

Had a great feed there snitzel and chips and salad for $18 it was huge 👌

Have been here twice and have found the atmosphere great. Good priced meals and drinks right by Central Station in George St. 10/10.

Stopped in for a drink at their bar and had amazing service and sat out a rain storm. Very centrally located and nice staff!

The manager Simon was super rude to me and my wife, to the point that he made her cry. Overall very bad experience. The worst pub experience ever…. Never come here!!

The worst experience of being food-served. The chef is really rude, they have zero-level customer service and courtesy which is not acceptable. Going there is equal to wasting your money.

The food is not good and the chef is so rude. I used to hang out with a group of friends every weekend. However, their lack of manners and service made us to change our place.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the food and the chef during my recent visit to the restaurant. First, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Secondly, the attitude of the chef was extremely disappointing. The chef was defensive and refused to take any responsibility for the poor quality of the dish. This lack of professionalism and customer service was unacceptable. Overall, my dining experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing, and I feel that I wasted my time and money.

The cook was awful and unhygienic, the chef is rude and the worst experience. Better options are available around central.

I love this place, food is always good beer is always cold and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Best pub bistro in Sydney. Menu has a great variety and service is quick and straight to the table. It's a hidden treasure in Sydney.

Just review for the bar downstairs, great staff, decent selection of drinks. Few chairs for outdoor seating... Right opposite central station, wouldn't be a bad choice for accommodation near the central station

I am disappointed by their cook in their bistro. I noticed he simply used his palm to wipe over the top of the salt shaker dispenser after asking for chicken salt. Yuck! He also burnt parts of my steak and I'm sure I didn't say over done" but "medium well". My mind started to think that he may have done something else unhygienic during his food prep making my order. I won't eat there again if I ever end up going back in there in future unless it's a different chef of course. I'm very sure I was not rude towards him. But friendly."

Did not stay here overnight, however, I did enjoy dinner and a a cold beer before my train trip to Melbourne. Recommended.

Good prices on drinks and some good looking food.

The food is delicious and filling. Very clean kitchen. The bar staff are friendly and generous. If you're struggling to find a decent meal in Sydney, this is your spot.

Popped in for lunch, wanted Aussie meal...got what we ordered. It wasn't crowded...will call in again in the future. If you want well priced meal - this is the right place...

The haulf Chinese publican is rude after booking a room after a 8 hour tran trip I got there and he told me if I was not double vacksd I could not stay there .the place is a Run down dump anyway

Worst ever salad I've ever seen, rotten lettuce leaves mixed, god bless you could alive after eating it. Worse than the quality of the dish, is the attitude from the staff and manager there, they don't accept any complaint, if you don't like the unfresh food they put on your table, it's your fault. And it's your taste fault, your attitude fault, your choise fault. Anyway, don't expect replace dish or refund, or sorry from them. From the second you stepped into the pub, you deserve what you would get. God bless you.

Crystal Palace is the greatest pub in the city of Sydney. Hidden in plane sight, icy cold beers and friendly staff and patrons, completely unpretentious in a city full of faux glitz and glam. Make tshirts so I can buy one though.

There for a bistro meal last Tuesday 19 Oct 2012. I had the Tuesday night special curry - I think is was called lamb and Spinach. Or Saag Gosht. It was subtle and complex and delicious. I think I found a green cardamon pod in it - joy, a real curry. Every bit as good as curries I have had in Tooting! My friend had the famous lamb cutlets. He enjoyed his selection every bit. [The lunchtime special - Moroccan lamb cutlets are also just amazing.] Then the really dazzling bit - a great big table next to us had 13 different dishes served, together, to those diners. All warm and enjoyed by those dinners. One man in the kitchen managing all this - I think he is called Ricky. Utterly beyond belief!

ここで宿泊はしたことがないので、ホテル宿泊する情報はわかりません。 一階はバーとなってます。 三日間このバーを利用した者の感想です。 ゆったりした時間が好みであれば、是非ここを訪れてください。 観光地ではないので、人は比較的に少ない。 季節にもよるだろうが、満席になるのは何らかのイベントのときでしょう。 静かに飲めて個人的には凄く好きです。 お酒をロックで飲む場合、１ショット頼んでも、きのせいか1.5ショットくらいになってます（笑）。図ってないので正確な量は判りませんが、飲み過ぎに注意しましょう。 ホテルの値段設定がやすい関係か、バーのお酒もかなりお安く飲めます。 地元のおっちゃんも飲んでいるので、気さくに話掛けてくれます。 それと、馬券もその場で販売しているから、気になったら買ってみるのもいいかもしれません。但し、賭けことは自己責任でお願いします。
