Thanks Grey Gums for hosting our family gathering today, the food, drink and service was amazing. Our lovely little lady at the Bistro counter catered for our every need. The food came out quickly, it was delicious and great value! Thanks Amanda for organising our booking and relocating us inside out of the cold. We all had an amazing day.

Friendly local pub located conveniently along the main artery to Penrith. Offering a tap beers, bottled beer, wines, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Along with a fully equipped kitchen offering a robust menu of bistro favourites along with specials. The hotel has TAB , Keno and gaming facilities, along with attached bottle shop and neighbouring hotel accommodation. Large open car park, playground and gaming machines for the kids. Pool tables, both indoor and outdoor seating. Would recommend

After 1 drink and being there for four hours cut me off drinking. kicked me out and yelled at me

Back to the grey gums in Penrith

Went there with my daughter and granddaughter for a birthday lunch. Food was superb and the staff were top notch. Super friendly, really accommodating to an almost 2 yr old, and brought out our birthday cake and a lighter for the candles. Really impressive service so not often seen these days.

I ordered frilled fish and salad with chips $30, received 2 pieces of grilled fish, smaller than my palm, approx an icecream scoop of salad and chips ... pretty ordinary. Husband ordered chips and gravy, the gravy came in a tiny plastic lidded container, when he asked for a bit more gravy ... $2 (really!?) Peachtree Hotel has MUCH better quality meals, similar/better prices. We rarely eat out, definitely won't be coming back here. The waitress was very bubbly!

Food is ok, nothing special. But $30 for a chicken breast, chips and salad? That's a bit too much. Service was nice, and staff friendly.

Unfortunately the menu was very minimal and didn’t offer vego options on the day apart from wedges or chips which was dissatisfying. Venue didn’t have any atmosphere but the lovely person taking orders for food and clearing plates was so high in energy that you just fell in love with her.

Rough as guts, friendly enough.

Staff were rude and dining area needs a revamps. Old dated, damaged furniture.

Great bistro, large meals and well price

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the barramundi with a touch of prawns dish at Grey Gums Hotel, and it certainly left a lasting impression. Here's my review: From the moment the plate arrived, I was captivated by the visually appealing presentation. The perfectly cooked barramundi was tender, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The subtle seasoning complemented the natural taste of the fish, allowing it to shine through without overpowering it. The addition of prawns elevated the dish to a whole new level. The succulent prawns were cooked to perfection, adding a delightful textural contrast and an extra hint of richness to each bite. Their delicate taste blended harmoniously with the barramundi, creating a harmonious seafood symphony on my palate.

Very fast food service and lovely meals. Been here a few times and always had a great meal. Atmosphere is family friendly .

Was looking for a quick feed and Grey Gums delivered a lovely tea. It was mega busy on a Saturday night around 6pm but we found a table. Staff were very friendly and quick service. Because they were busy they did say food would be delayed, but it wasn't really, thank you. I had peri peri chook burger and my wife had lovely creamy garlic prawns.

Great place for a feed and a drink

Had a catch up with a couple of work friends. 1st time at the place. Beers were cold. Had the sirloin steak at the bistro cooked medium and it was a very nice piece of steak. My friends also enjoyed their meals. The place was quiet as it was a Thursday night. Bar/Bistro staff were also very friendly and provided good service.

A bit disappointing. The decor inside resembles a community hall. Dull and cold. The staff were excellent. Friendly and caring. I ordered the Black Angus Schnitzel. It was huge but once I moved it a couple of inches on the plate all the crumb fell off the meat. It was not cooked enough nor in hot enough oil. My friends though had garlic prawns and chicken Caesar Salad which they thoroughly enjoyed. A bit of good and not so good I suppose. Might give it another go next time I'm in the area.

Last Saturday night I had the red curry with 2 spoon fulls left in bowl I had another serving only to find a piece of plastic in my food I chewed on. When we approached the Manager she didn’t care. She said “ can’t give you a refund you’ve eaten almost the full meal “ WTH. Plain no care factor at all. NEVER asked for refund. Accept your wrong doing. Saying sorry isn’t enough ** different out come if I cut my lung ** ABSOLUTELY no care give this place a wide berth !!

Service is fast, staff are friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the food is fantastic!

Stayed here with my husband on the 4th of march 2023 for the night to go to a brothers 30th the customer service was spot on the room was spotless bed was comfortable and even had a spa which was lovely after a 6hour ride from walcha we will definitely stay again next time we are that way highly recommend Tammy and luke mills from the walcha caravan park

Quick service friendly service good meal

Best Steak Sanga I've ever had! Staff are very friendly, food is quick and so delicious that we are on our 3rd meal here as there as too many yummy meals to choose from. Already working out what I'm going to try tomorrow 😋

Without a doubt the WORST pub meal I've ever had. $96 wasted!!! Does your cook even know what medium rare is!! Risotto was like thick paste with NO flavour. Do yourself a favour and do menulog

Usually a great place to visit - food although boring (no new items for ages) is well cooked - staff are fantastic - helpful, friendly and go above and beyond to help customers BUT today they had no Chardonnay….. totally do not understand how a Pub with attached bottleshop can run out ??? Dear goodness get your buyers in order !! 😩

Absolutely the best snitty me and my partner have ever had literally it's so fresh cooked Absolutely perfect nice and moist definitely wasn't crunchy thank God it's was PERFECT thank you so much to the cook and all the ladies have excellent customer service great quite pub great atmosphere 😀
