Normally a great place to play golf. Fairways always great condition greens very consistent. Recent works on the course are cause for some concern . New dams, concrete paths and drainage will makes the course even better

I went while grounds were under repairs but al in all it was a great course not to challenging

It's a nice course with plenty of upgrades happening. Proshop staff pretty 'gruff' but not rude. Big clubhouse with bistro. Very large menu. More pleasant service would be great when you are shelling out $400 plus for golf and lunch. 4 golfers (2 seniors and 2 juniors) and an additional 2 for lunch. Overall, we had a great day.

My dog food is better than the food we had at the bistro tonight. The schnitzel was like rubber to the point that we couldn't even eat it. It was tough and no flavour, the mushroom sauce had only 1 mushroom in it and it tasted more like mustard.The steak was tough and cold, with lots of fat. Chips and mash were cold so we're uneaten. It is an expensive meal that we only have as a treat and as it turned out not one of us finished our meal. Very disappointed with our experience. We won't be eating there again. Overpriced food that was terrible is definitely NOT worth the money we paid.

The restaurant has a great selection of food and drinks, ideal for meals or casual gatherings. The staff are generally friendly and accommodating. However, during my visit, there was an incident that slightly impacted the experience. One of the girls working in the restaurant seemed a bit off when she brought our food to the table, almost as if she was a little tipsy. her mannerisms were a bit unsteady, which left me wondering if she might have had a bit too much to drink herself. That said, this was an isolated incident and didn't overshadow the overall experience. The food was tasty and served in a timely manner, and the rest of the staff was professional and friendly. I would still recommend Penrith Golf Club for both its golfing experience and its cozy dining, though I hope they address this issue with their team to maintain the high standards of service.

I am genuinely baffled by the quality of food at this establishment and the value they place on it. We visited on Sunday as a family and ordered two adult meals, one kid’s meal, and two drinks. The bill came to just over $100, and honestly, everything was terrible. The steak was a disaster—chewy, low-quality, and looked like it had been boiled instead of cooked properly. It had no flavor, no seasoning, and not a hint of a Maillard reaction. It was an utter flop. The chips? Bland and mediocre. The salad? Depressing, to say the least—lifeless and sad. My wife ordered a chicken parmigiana, which was even worse. The chicken was so rubbery and overcooked it could have bounced off the floor like a basketball. She couldn’t even cut it with the provided knife. To top it off, despite requesting the sauce on the side, they slathered it on top, leaving the breading soggy and unappetizing. She was on the verge of complaining, but I held her back because she was understandably upset. This was easily one of the most disappointing club meals we’ve ever had. For over $100, you’d expect a minimum standard of quality. That’s $100 for a piece of steak, some chips, salad, chicken, another salad, more chips, and six nuggets—an absolute joke. I wouldn’t mind paying $200 for a meal if the quality justified it, but when the food doesn’t even measure up to a $15 steakhouse, this is the result. Zero stars. Actually, negative stars. In hindsight, I wish I’d asked for a full refund. Imagine going out on a Sunday to enjoy a meal, only to end up stopping at a servo on the way home for a meat pie—which turned out to be far more satisfying than this $100 catastrophe.

I used to love having a cold Mountain Culture Status Quo after work. Removing a local brewer for big business is a no from me. I won’t be back.

Had the worst experience at Penrith Golf Club! The food was absolutely awful and way overpriced for what they served. To make things worse, the wait time was unbearable. We waited over an hour for our meals, only to be met with cold plates and a complete lack of flavor. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in making the experience any better. For a place that’s supposed to be a club, it was a huge letdown. Save your time and money—this place isn’t worth it!

Ordered the wings n nibbles. P1 Got 6 wings instead of 8. P 2 🤔 Returned the meal & questioned the amount of wings. P 3. They did not remake the meal. The added 2 more wings that took 10 minutes. Brought it to the table without an apology. Someone can’t count & nobody cares ! Very disappointing 😡

Pleasant place to eat with a good view 3 years later still a great place with .. Good food friendly service. Security fella aways welcomes us makes you feel like a member not just a customer.

Well maintained. Friendly members. I found it a tough course with some long par 4's and challenging par 5's. Definitely worth playing. I really enjoyed my round.Thoroughly recommend.

My wife and I had lunch at the Penrith Golf Club today ( Sunday 13 Oct 2024 ) for the fist time in several months. The food we ordered was first class. The servings were extremely generous with food that was melt in your mouth. We were particularly impressed with the high standard of service and friendliness of the bar staff. Pretty average gold club. The food isn't great, skip the other things and just get schnitty and chips

We had a family dinner here tonight. All 30 of us loved the food and although you were quite busy food came out reasonably quick and it was delicious. Service from all staff members was amazing. Thank you for accommodating our big family without any issues. Some local places are not as welcoming. We will be back.

Chips on schnitzel were cold while we waited for steak to cook. Boscaiola sauce was white sauce with a few pieces of tough bacon and one lonely, tiny mushroom. The medium steak was still bleeding. The salad was generous, fresh and slightly overdressed. All in all, three out of ten.

Went there for my Daughter's 40th birthday Lunch . Most disappointing. Order the Fish 41 Dollars later A Tiny Piece of Barramundi with a Tree Salad that took up most of the plate . My Daughter order the same and assumed they came with Chips . No I said there extra .. Next time I think I'll catch lunch..Staff rude ,,

First time dining, food was great. The restaurant was not child friendly, however the staff presented my grandchildren with some drawing and colouring.

Paid cash on three occasions. Two at the bar. Both confusing the bar tenders who struggled to work out the change. But most disappointing was the bistro. My first friend first ordered the tacos and asked for no mayo. The girl behind the counter said no. It comes with it. I asked for it to be on the side. It was served covered in mayo. My friend couldn’t eat it. Two friends ordered the ribs. Both were that dry and tough. They had to cut the meat off the bone. It should have fallen off. When it came time to order my mother’s and i’s food. The girl serving. The same one. Said after ordering. When you’re ready and turned her back on me. I tapped the card machine with my cash and said her machine was broken. She didn’t even say sorry. My mother’s lamb shank was dry and my parmigiana had a smear of sauce on it and the cheese was like rubber. I wouldn’t have fed it to my dogs. Most disappointed in the whole experience.

Not a bad place to go to have a drink but the pokies don’t pay out that much the majors stay maxed out for months sometimes u might win a couple of hundred but u have to put more in to get even a feature

Came for the trivia, which was fun. Had a meal it was standard pub fare. Clean and bright place to spend the evening.

Normally a good meal here. That all changed tonight. First, after picking up our starters, our main meals got lost, or as they explained it, accidentally cancelled. When we finally got our meals, after going to the counter to question the where abouts of our meals, three of the four meals come out cold. Once they realised that they lost our order, they were going to prepare our meals straight away. So if the meals were prepared straight away, why did they come out cold? Not even the so called Chef could answer this question. There was only one young girl honest enough to admit their mistake, which the Chef tried to put the blame on. The meals were probably nice, but when people can't take responsibility for their mistakes, and then send out sub standard food, for which you have paid good money, then the food is not so nice. We will be thinking twice about this restaurant. And I only just renewed my membership for another 5 yrs. Not the clubs fault. Very nice club to visit. The restaurant; ???????

Always a friendly atmosphere and good food! Our server tonight, Bonnie was super helpful as there was a new menu and she expertly told us what sides etc were available. Love to come down for a drink and a meal - coming on Tuesday for trivia - looking forward to it!

Today Michelle and I decided that we would visit the Penrith Golf Club for lunch. Before our visit, we studied the menu since this venue has many options catering for all tastes and dietary requirements. I was impressed that the team took my sesame allergy into account before our visit and the kitchen was notified. When we arrived at the club, Michelle and I browsed through the menu again and it was difficult deciding on what we would choose. For our starter, we were interested in trying the Szechuan pepper calamari. The calamari were seasoned well with a little spice and this dish was accompanied by a bowl of garlic aioli. The calamari were fresh, not dry and the aioli gave an extra tangy flavour to this already amazing dish. For our mains, I settled on the crumbed lamb cutlets and Michelle chose the Chef’s signature lamb shoulder. The cutlets were accompanied by an excellent fresh salad with vinegarette dressing and chips. The cutlets were crisp, not dry and had plenty of flavour. Each bite of these morish cutlets had a satisfying crunch. I found this meal to be filling and I really enjoyed this superb dish. The side salad was fresh, and the vinegarette dressing was slightly sweet and a little spicy. The chips were crisp and seasoned well. Michelle was impressed with her lamb shoulder and vegies on the side. The lamb shoulder was so tender and succulent. This lamb was a symphony in her mouth. I tried some of the shoulder as well and I was impressed. The vegies were fresh and had lots of flavour. After our meal, I wanted to try a flat white coffee, as well as a shared vanilla slice. The coffee did not disappoint and was creamy and not bitter, just the way I like it. I give Penrith Golf Club a ten out of ten. The music was exactly right, the staff were friendly and the venue was pleasant. I thank Brent and his team for looking after Michelle and I today.

Course is in excellent condition and is very reasonably priced.

Parking was easy & plentiful. The premmises are light & spacious enjoyable views of the golf links. A very imaginative & varied menu. All in all a place I look forward to visiting in the future.

Penrith Golf Club is a pleasant place to visit. The food was good and the staff were helpful.

You have to search far and wide to find a feed this bad!! This is definitely without a doubt the worst place you could eat in all of western Sydney Everything and I mean everything that this place serves is disgusting beyond belief. Packet mix fluro yellow calamari rings that cost $23! Chips taste like the oil hasn’t been changed since the day they first opened Ceaser salad was plain disgusting and they even forgot the bread! Advice to management: close down this terrible restaurant and quit your jobs and change careers Yet another club that only cares about gambling and everything else comes second to That.

Best course in the West. After playing here for 40 years I would not even contemplate changing. Clubhouse now enhanced by great service, quality food from the restaurant and a wonderful atmosphere when busy, Well done Seven Hills and Johnathon Green.

Not a bad course.

Good golf course with good food after a round. The fairway was quite dry and firm in some holes but narrow greens are challenging. At Fitzroy, we could feel vibrant family restaurant great to enjoy along. Ordered a cheeseful cream pasta, steak sandwich, they were all great. Steak and burger weren't bad either. Price was not that low but not that high either.

I don’t ever post reviews, but as nice as the staff were to begin with, not only were meal times incorrect and not sitting at 30mins like their signs said and updated as more customers ordered, our order took up to an hour all for my partner and I to have roughly 3 wings before realising they were raw and dripping blood. Poor staff were clearly not prepared with only 3/4 people in kitchen for influx of customer this evening. Very disappointing, and to top that not even an offer of compensation just a simple “we’re really sorry” as I walked away and “I can see that” when pointing out the blood on the greens from the wings. Spent the rest of my evening throwing up what little I ate and feeling so ill on the drive home

The meals have gotten pretty expensive and aren't great quality. The pork knuckle was dry.

Quiet club with great beer at a reasonable price

I highly recommend Penrith Golf Club. The wake for my husband was hosted there. All of the staff were absolutely amazing, the food was perfect for the occasion with more than enough for the large crowd. Beautiful place to have a dinner and lunch! We loved going Trivia on Tuesdays (shoutout to Ethan who does an amazing job). Some feedback we'd like to kindly give: Food: The menu and quality of food could improve... There have been on occasion where a few dishes we received were quite bland eg. Steak (not enough seasoning) and salads Sadly for this reason, we have moved our party to the Log Cabin for our Tuesday night Trivia as the food quality is much better. Hoping this feedback will help management improve. Thank you!

Ordered the seafood basket got 3 yellow calamari very tough couldn’t chew 2crab claws an 2skinny pieces of fish more batter than fish lots of chips an for 32 dollars not worth it at all Husband had a tough piece of chicken schnitzel.Had garlic bread barely toasted for the money not worth going back food was a disappointment.

Great places for Trivia.

This was a real surprise. Meeting up with old friends we weren't expecting much so we found the club a great place on a barmy evening to relax watching the sun set over the greens. Food good, pricing good & members get discounts. Well worth a visit.

Birthday celebrations. Food selection and quality good. Able to put tab on bar and Bistro. They charge a “cake” fee max at $20 they supply plates, spoons and serviettes for guests. Friendly helpful staff.

We had a fantastic time at our recent event for a 30th birthday party at Penrith Club. A big thank you to Samantha for assisting us with all the instructions we needed. Highly recommend, and we eagerly anticipate playing here again.

Been going there for a few years and been good, went last night and the meals were horibble, The steaks were medium rare which I ordered but they were so tough you could make shoes with them. The worst steak I have ever had. And was not only mine, I order 3 steaks for the group 2 x Scotch fillet and a Porterhouse for the family and they were all tough, the sauces they forgot didn't come with our order and they forgot the vegetables as well.

Beautiful venue! However not practical for families / not child friendly. Would be absolutely amazing to have some sort of kids area or greens installed. Sitting on a gold mine given there is nothing else like it in close proximity it Glenmore park

Great course full of challenging holes. If you go down on a Friday arvo it’s pretty quiet so it’s a great time to go. The club is great and lots of variety with food and drinks.
