Recently moved down from Vic to Tassie, went in for my laptop charger, spoke to Jordan who is very knowledgeable and helpful. The experience was smooth and easy! Good honest folks looking after their customers, defs recommend!

Good advice on all your electronic needs.

I placed an order with Jaycar on line. Advised it was being sent from their Moonah Store, Hobart. After 4 days the item was still sitting at their store, had not been received by Aust.Post. I rang the Moonah store and the person I spoke to was very arrogant, and said the item was still at their store and were having trouble with their postage system and may be sent out at the end of the week and was placing the blam on Aust.Post for not collecting the item. I will not be using their on line ordering service again or Jaycar

Every time I have been here the customer service has been amazing, today I broke my 3d printer and they happily 3d printed me a replacement part without any payment

Excellent customer service you don't get that much these days but the guys on Sunday afternoon were such happy staff and easy to deal with the store was spotless and had a great range of products

Don't go there very often but they always have what I need. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable.

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN HOBART!!!! I was served by Jordan two days ago. His level of customer service was unbelievable. Not only was he knowledgeable about the product, he patiently explained all the features of the transmitter I bought and set it up in my car! Went there today 24.07.23 and looked for RJ45, cat 5e, tool- less computer cable plugs, male , female,- the customer service was outstanding, unfortunately I do not remember the mates name, young ,tall, slim and black hair, earring- aaannnyyyway the most relevant description is:I have come very rarely across a retail worker who does such an effort and keeps calm, helpful and motivational, thank you - can only recommend this shop also from former shopping experiences,especially good for those customer types like me ,who are shy to ask the odd questions and only knowing brittle details of the product range names and offers. Thank you again.

Decent sized shop, very good range of products and plenty of stock. Jaycar folks a niche that otherwise isn't serviced. This branch though is let down by the staff. Often they seem to be more interested in continuing their conversation between themselves and on my last visit I could hear crude language that was being spoken at the counter from the back of the store. **Update Jan 2023** There always to have been a turnover of staff since the original review. Staff are now very helpful and attitudes have changed completely.

While I get that retail has its tedious moments if your staff (young Jordon from another staff members account) are audibly categorizing the customers into derogatory groups then its time for your retail store to disappear into the rest of the online space. This was a great shopping experience once upon a time, hopefully the hearing-impaired generation keep you afloat.

Had what we wanted and so much cool stuff i want to buy

I have been using this store in and off for some time. On this occasion wanted some security system components. The layout of the store is well set up with like with like organisation. Even so I simply went to a staff member and gave him the part numbers and he quickly located the items. The best part was the advice that I was given in my job that has saved me a lot of time and money. The products on sale range from very average quality thought to higher end equipment. The staff give advice based on the needs that you have. A very friendly crew located on Main Road with good parking at the rear of the building.

They try to be helpful as much as possible. However Jaycar are less about component knowledge, and are more of a shop for electronic goods than components. Like resistors and capacitors, and prefer microcontrollers and smart home. I suppose that's the market.

Worst customer service EVER!!! Don't even bother going to Jaycar Moonah, the sales staff are hopeless, no idea what they're talking about. Total joke!

Within minutes of walking into the store I had a young fella come up to see if he could help me. He answered all of my questions in relation to what I was looking for and because of his knowledge and friendly manner I purchased the item I was enquiring about. Would definitely recommend.

I popped in to Jaycar today to seek advice on a solar setup for car camping. The customer service was awesome and totally exceeded my expectations! Not only did Jordan explain all the components I would need, he comprehensively broke down the features and differences in a way I understood and wrote out a complete plan within my budget. Honest, friendly and willing to go that extra mile - thanks again, Jordan. Your help was very much appreciated!

Rude staff, guy with the tattoos especially. Wasnt very helpful when asking a question and just walked off when I was speaking to him when asking if they had a certain cable. Was pretty uninterested in helping, couldn't care less.

I visited Jaycar today looking for some electrical plugs and some glue. Jaycar has a fantastic range of all things electrical,tools, gadgets and heaps more When I couldn't locate a suitable glue for my Grandsons model plane the young man at the counter went to great lengths to find a suitable product. I think their prices are competitive and their service outstanding. I am glad to recommend Jaycar for good product, good prices and great service.

Got what I wanted although. During public holidays, opening hours are the same as Sunday hours

Just a positive and helpful experience, I bought a gps unit from Jaycee Moonah and it was tricky setting up Not only did Jordan Woodbridge assist in the complexity of it he actually drove to see me at the Auto electrician to help set up and make sure all worked correctly, Credit where credit is due and Jaycar n Jordan Thank you 🙏

It was a little busy today

Unbelievably helpful and supportive staff. I bought a portable chiller and, feeling it might be a little on the loud side, took it back and asked their advice. Not only did they test it with a decibel meter but contacted manufacturers support technical staff and sort their advice. Adam was just amazing at this store - and right in the midst of a Christmas rush. He couldn't have gone out of his way any more - and with a cheerful manner that is so often lacking in retail these days. Upshot of it was they thought the unit was operating within noise parameters but insisted they swap it for a new one or a refund. Wow!! That's service. A very big thank you to Adam and store manager Michael. One very happy customer.

Open at 8am! Wow! That was so great as I was able to swing past on my way to work to pick up the adapters I needed. Very friendly staff.

It's pretty good, most of the staff are knowledgeable, it's reasonably easy to find what you want, and it's mostly well priced!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, there was easy access off street parking and the store was neat and tidy. Will definitely be going back to get birthday and Christmas presents, along with supplies for my project!
