Very helpful staff thank you for making my shopping easy
Horrible service. Been more than 15 time in the past 2 years and nothing changes. More than 8 workers behind the counter and no one tending to the self- service printers. Nearly all out of order and customer being served for purchases at the printing desk instead. When walking down the aisles many boxes are always littered all over the floor with no worker in sight - an accident waiting to happen.
Good for quick visits
Great work by Andrew today helping me get a gaming monitor. Went above and beyond to help, going so far as to go out the back, pull a pallet down and move alot around to find the item for me even though it took alot of time and effort. Thanks mate appreciate it 👍 1
Worst experience you can ever have need to have new staff
I've been here a few times for printing and I can't fault the service -but- most of the customers don't understand the system, so here is a fun breakdown which might help some people: IF YOU WANT TO PRINT DOCUMENTS - email them to officeworks @ printme.com (remove the spaces) and you'll get a code back pretty instantly which is needed to use their services. Do this before you arrive in store because for some reason the internet/reception is terrible once you step inside. Make sure you email within the 24 hours of your planned print-time, get your code back to your email email and you'll be all organised and ready for help or self service when you get there.
I experienced the definition of genuine customer service tonight! I came in tonight to get some booklets and programs printed out for a church camp. I was served by Mija who was so patient, courteous and well-mannered. For some reason, the booklets were printing with an extra page and we couldn't understand why. She continued to try to solve the issue and even when I had told her to not worry about it because I didn't want to burden them, she assured me that the job will get done and it will be exactly how I want it. She then called for some assistance from her colleague Alexander, who was also courteous, well-mannered and patient. He continued to work on getting the booklets printed. The issue was finally resolved and I apologised for taking so much of their time. Even when I apologised, they told me I had nothing to apologise for and continued to serve me with a smile. They then moved on to my next job and continued to work at it until they had it correct. Luckily, this took less time to figure out and they were able to process the order for me. In all of this, they did not show any frustration or anger and were the absolute definition of amazing customer service! These two honestly need a raise for their amazing work.
Had the best experience with Daniel when I came to get a new laptop - ended up getting the Lenovo Yoga 7 and he was so educated and able to communicate his knowledge with me very well. His customer service was great and I appreciate his time so much! I have full confidence with my purchase. Thanks Daniel!
Despite the low reviews I am seeing on Google regarding this Officeworks it isn’t actually such a bad place which I was worried about before my initial visit. Printing services are very easy and seamless as it is self-serve and the store has decent stock for office essentials. Not much more to ask about an Officeworks otherwise. Other than that maybe if you require staff for certain things you may have issues but from my experience they are mostly welcoming, friendly and approachable. Lines also go decently fast when checking out items but I can only say that as I primarily come here on weekdays. Good place overall and hope to see their rating on Google increase in the future.
their Customer service is one of the poorest. Staff aren’t polite enough.
Had the most patient and helpful staff member in the print section tonight. Her name was Anchita. Definitely an asset to the office works team!
Anchita was amazing! I had a few prints to do but did not know how and felt nervous and stressed as last few times I've come in store I had zero help and was overwhelmed. Thank you Anchita for being polite and helpful.
Courtney you are a breath of fresh air . Your customer service is outstanding . Your knowledge on the job was exceptional and your patience was to be commended. I am not the greatest with confidence in technology but you took my problem by the horns and tackled it head on . I was impressed with your ability at office works last week and today . Thank you for making my life a little easier with this important task at hand . Keep shining Courtney they are lucky to have you part of the Gledswood Office works team 👍☺️.
I visited Officeworks in Gregory Hills to purchase an iPad and was warmly greeted by a wonderful young lady named Alicia. Alicia was incredibly helpful, informing me that she would retrieve the iPad from the back and kindly asked me to wait. She was quick, attentive, and made my entire shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s been a long time since I’ve received customer service this exceptional – a big thank you to Alicia for her outstanding support!
Had a very bad impression and experience as I am local and usually go to this office works. For the first time, I went for my 7 year old for passport photograph around 1:00 pm toady and there was no customers to be served and i was the only one to be served as I waited few moments for someone to step in and asked to be assisted as few were having a chat, one was very busy on the phone and others were not doing anything and worst part to be a customer is not to be acknowledged which is truly very awful feeling. Then j said hello and rudly one of the female staff said to me just wait there some one will come" in a very bad tone and i said what a customer service got the photo done and wish never to see such customer service in life again. I think they need a proper customer service training and understand thee job. Hope that they improve."
Huge thank you to Varsha for helping me out today! Had to return to the store 2 times today to exchange a product. She was very patient and happy to help. Highly recommend this store!! thanks again and thanks to the manager as well!
Do not get your passport photos taken here, I had mine done here and they got rejected. Get your photos taken at the post office instead.
Worst customer service ever 2 girls on the print table where too busy having a chit chat ignoring customers was told that I was getting help with my photo printing enquiry then they both forgot they were at work and continued chatting and ignoring customers. I can't believe Officeworks is run like this what a joke!!!
Had a great experience with two friendly team members Daniela & Alex. Thank you very much.
Staff are just chatting in one side of the shop. I ask for help they just direct me to the photo booth/ scanner. Customer asked for help because they don't know how to do it. Bad service. Not busy with customer, but they are busy chatting.
So no one told you Officeworks was gonna be this way. Their job's a joke, they're slow, their service is M.I.A. It's like you're always stuck waiting here. When you haven't been served for a day, a week, a month, or even a year. They won't be there for you (When the printer starts to jam) They won't be there for you (Like they never were there before) They won't be there for you ('Cause you're probably still standing there too)
Anchita provides a great service, helpful staff!
I’m pretty easy going but…The staff need better middle management to stop them from having chats and to get back to work. They also need to attend to waiting customers. If you want something printed, find an illustrator who will sketch your picture faster than they will print it.
If I could give 0 stars I would! Stood for over 25 minutes in the printing line, customer service is awful when you do actually get to the counter. They spend over 30 minutes per customer on just printing, gone are the days where people actually want to help their customers.
No customer service on the floor whatsoever. It seems as though Office works have hired magicians who magically disappear when asking for assistance. There were 2 male staff members, today (17/3/24) who did not want to go and find the item we wanted. The poor girl at the register ended up getting all the customers frustration. Invest in staff who are on the floor, able to assist customers instead of disappearing. Or logically, have the items on the shelves for customers to take and purchase 🤦♀️
I was in a hurry and needed a copy of my ID card. I just need a scan and print at office works. We went to scan and you couldn’t just scan so we called the assistant then she proceeded to tell me we couldn’t just scan and print we had to send an email to ourselves of our scans, and then send the email BACK to them. They didn’t have any reception so I had to go outside. I received the email but couldn’t send it to office works because the reception wasn’t working AGAIN, the assistant proceeded to tell me I had to go wait outside again for more internet. When I finally sent everything I came back inside and someone had taken my place at the scanner. I had to leave to find another place to scan. This was an absolute waste of my time and money. I understand that it wasn’t the fault of the assistant and they are just doing their job, however the office works scanning/printing systems have to change. Office works used to be a reliable place for people to get their important documents etc completed. I’m not sure how this modern self serve system is helping the community.
DO NOT GET PASSPORT PHOTOS HERE. THEY WILL ALL GET REJECTED. ABSOLUTE JOKE AND WASTE OF MONEY.
I needed printer ink and was assisted by 3 very professional staff members, John , James and Taylor at the Gregory Hills store. There was 1 manager who's name I did not get and I wouldnt even rate him with this group. Rude as. Thanks for your assistance John, James and Taylor you are all assets to the company.
I bought online so I could miss some of the crazy queues. Problem was they couldn’t find it. It was a wait time between 20-30 minutes. So much for getting through the queue quickly! Not the first time to happen to me either!
Terrible customer service - I lined up at the print counter. A lady started serving me then moved on to someone else before I even got to explain what I wanted . Then I asked another sales assistant for help with printing an e book and she took me around in circles and couldn’t even explain to me that she was charging me 49c a page for both self serve and over the counter - wasted my time and left the store, I won’t be back
Not sure why out of all the Officeworks stores I regularly go to in Sydney, this place seems to have the longest wait times, and staff just ‘chillin’ behind the counters while customers are queuing.
A queue behind me at the print and copy counter but the staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving customers. Will never venture into that branch again. Pity because I had a very long shopping list.
Kiana is a great person to deal with. Thank you so much.
They make you to pay by blue card because they lazy at the end the machine charged you more .and after you go back to them and you need to wait to hours .
Not many places call you back when you accidentally get disconnected. Officeworks Gledswood did this for me today. Very appreciative.
The worst store. Hardly any stock. When they do have stock the product is open and when you go in to return the store manager makes it out you opened it and refuses on doing a refund on the products. service needs to improve!
Very friendly and Good staff.
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. 3 much older staff members standing around behind photo counter talking to each other, whilst a queue was formed, plus people at the photo DIY booths waiting for help. The staff not even acknowledging customers waiting. Finally got to the counter finally to be told, we should order on the machines. When I explained we were not after regular size prints, but just 4 copies on a2 size the larger woman rolled her eyes and said “yeah you can still do that over there” I apologised and said we had not done that before. She sighed and said “yep” Then we asked if we could get it done urgently, as it was part of a HSC work due on Monday, and something had gone wrong, we would pay extra, it’s for 4 photos. The woman scoffed at us and said “you’d be lucky to get it Sunday” This happened on a Friday. I asked if there was any possible way she could help us and she shrugged and said “No. it’s that time of the year. Everyone is getting their urgent work done. Is that all for today?” (It’s the middle of August. I’m clearly unaware that mid August is the busiest time of year for photographs and prints) We left, went to another local Officeworks, we told them what happened and they were so very apologetic. Apparently it happens all the time there, and that store staff has a terrible reputation. This store was busy. Very busy. However they did the printing for us in 20 mins. I’ll never go to this one again. Have submitted a formal written complaint too.
Inappropriate customer service by a male representative. Extremely rude and As per my experience I am not recommending anyone for this location.
Very helpful staff. Went out of their way to help me with a time sensitive item.
After reading the reviews here, I dreaded getting my click and collect order and braced myself for a long wait. I was pleasantly surprised when a team member greeted me while I was waiting in the queue and assisted me with my order. I also had a photo print order which she collected for me (order placed online earlier today). I had my baby in the pram with me and my items were bulky so another team member assisted me with bringing my order to my vehicle. This saved me having to do a couple of trips back and forth to my parked car. I am very satisfied with their customer service. Thank you to the Officeworks team at Gledswood Hills, you really went above and beyond. My visit to the store took less than 5 mins.
“I was so pleased with the service I received from the staff named Varsha". She went above and beyond to help me find the product i was after.” “I was very impressed with the quality of the product I received."
A joke of a store.
Not the cheapest place for photos, but after being let down by Harvey Norman earlier in the day, who were suggesting 3 days behind on photos - Officeworks accommodated the request, had them ordered online, and collected within the space of 20 minutes. Bloke at the counter helped us get a printing card and print a document, spending time on ensuring everything was correct. Have had some prior average experiences; but was really happy with service today. Thanks!
Quick service, staffs are helpful and willing to assist.
I am not one for leaving bad reviews but this place takes the award for consistency in terms of poor customer service, since the past 5 years I have lived in the area. God forbid someone needs something urgent, 20mins wait is pretty usual to get 1 print - 2 staff members to service the massive print line, whilst 5-6 staff members just standing idle behind cash countres giggling away or roaming the floor. Would never come here if there was another option in the area!
Shout out to 2 very young customer service personnel VASHA & ALEX …They were soooooo helpful this evening and had a smile all the time they served us. Great job guys keep it up 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This has got to be the slowest place on earth.
I bought some stationery and was waiting to pay. The shopping assistant at the entrance processed my card payment, and I got a paperless receipt. Super happy to cut the queue.
Kind staff
Excellent service from Mark and Gheeri (sic) who assisted me with a recent warranty replacement for a laser printer. They were helpful, attentive, professional and kept me well-infirmed on progress. Thank you for your help and great service guys.
I came in for a passport photo yesterday for an urgent replacement passport, to travel for a job, then got up this morning early to get into Sydney’s main passport office to organise, and they told me the lighting in the passport photo your team took would not be passed and needs to be redone. A waste of time, money and a lot of effort, and now to find a replacement and wait hours to try to resolve! Not really fair that we should have to pay and be mucked around like this.
Very bad service, I've been waiting for over 2hours to get my photos printed
Big shout out for Jessica, who helped me with a big job including a lot of variations She was so patient and smiling throughout the process! She also suggested a few things that worked out best for me. True customer service professional, very hard to find these days!!
WARNING.. don’t do your passport photos there. Aus post rejected as too grainy and not up to par… didn’t have my partners card, only offered a gift card refund (Had receipt) complained, then magically they can refund onto my card..Aus post said it’s very common with them, don’t waste your time, money o effort with Passport photos.. customer service very sub par.. obviously minimal training or empathy on how the o deal with these type of things.
The lines are always extremely long and so slow, as well as the service being unapologetic. Just don’t seem to care about the experience of customers.
Discriminates against people with disabilities.
Efficient fast & efficient
Very disappointing, a shop full of customers waiting in line and for click and collect and everyone working there hasn't got a care in the world!
Friendly staff and service along with a variety of products.
Terribly run and managed. Officeworks? Should be called office doesn't works.
Great customer service....very helpful with my click and collect. I bought a desk and all the staff went out of their way to help me load desk into back of my car. So nice to see young staff with such a cheerful and helpful manner!!!
Completely Oblivious of Consumer Law and refused to give me a replacement for an Apple Product that is less than1 month Old ! Using Delaying tactics
Need 1 copy only 1 person on what a joke
Tonight I got amazing service from Kate who helped my technology challenged brain with a printing task for my daughter, well done on great customer service. 👍
Outstanding Customer Service from Mark today (Sunday 18th Sep) who took our Passport photos. He was engaging, knew exactly what the passport photo guidelines were and made a tedious but necessary task enjoyable.
Worst store ever, always the longest line as they don’t put enough staff on… every.single.time
Terrible customer service! I went there for getting my child’s passport photo done. The staff just simply said “too young, can’t do it” I told them my nephew is the same age as my son and he got his passport photo done here three days ago. The staff mentioned it to another staff (I guess it might be the store supervisor or store manager), and the answer was just a head shake, not even a glance of us. I guess the store was busy at the time and they just didn't want to spend time taking kid photos. But I were happy to wait if they asked me nicely and treated me with respect. Really disappointed! P.S my son is 3 years old. He can sit and run and even ride a bike by himself!!!
Don’t know how to read names and their click and collect service is silly.
Two speeds, slow and stop
I thought I will be the only one that leave negative feedback, I am wrong. I had a few bad experience in this Officeworks about their printing services, rude, arrogant, neglect....it seems their management doesn't care about the google reviews, because there is same group of people providing consistent disgusting services.
Worst customer service and assistance I’m the printing and scanning department one person on who takes a million years to complete
Waiting time to just get a print done 15 mins minimum, if you get it earlier it’s like winning a lottery
Give this site a miss. We went to this Officeworks at 5pm last night and the manager was rude and just not hospitable. Took us awhile and we where happy to wait but when we where served by another staff member (which tried) the computer said there was 4 tables in stock but there was none.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Customer service is poor at this location, staff are unhelpful and barely even attempt to do their job.
The wait to get to the printing counter was long but I realised why when I got up there, I hadn’t downloaded files correctly and they took forever to come through. Stephen was very patient and helped me sort it out, recommended paper type for what I wanted. Probably a bit understaffed but the people working there were lovely.
My review specifically is for printing at this Officeworks (the retail side from my experience has been fine). The times I’ve needed to use printing at this Officeworks I always dread it due to the waiting times which are abnormally long. My most recent experience with printing here has been one of the worst ever that I’ve experienced in any retail store that I felt I had no choice but to leave a review. I went in to print 3 copies of a photo for a passport which I thought would have been a quick, simple job. Firstly, after reaching the front of the line (which itself took about 15-20 min which is typical of this printing line at this Officeworks) the staff member directed me to the self serve kiosk. Once reaching the self serve kiosk, none of the supplied iPhone cables are reading my iPhone so I resort to downloading the Officeworks app. It struggled to connect to their kiosks but eventually after 30 minutes of trying (with no support from staff) I am able to transfer my photos from their app to the kiosk and configure it to how I think it needs to be printed (more on that later). Wouldn’t you know it though, the self serve kiosks aren’t printing receipts (needed for the next step of actually printing the photos) so I have to go back up to the counter, get the attention of a staff member then get them to print off the receipt. I get the receipt, print off the photos and wouldn’t you know it - they’re too big for passport photos. I then go through the above process all over again, except I do try another kiosk to see if it will print the receipt. Not only do I go through the same process of the app struggling to transfer photos to the kiosk it also has the same issue of not printing the receipt - so I have to go to the counter and get the staff member to print it off again. In total I was in store for about an hour and a half for something that really should only take a few minutes particularly as Officeworks offer passport printing so you would hope they know the correct dimensions for printing. Anyway, this has just been the most recent and worst experience with printing at this Officeworks - plenty of previous experiences here have been terrible. I’ll try my next closest Officeworks next time I need something printed.
Good service
