A group of four of us turned up to do the casino heist room after having quite a good experience doing Helter Skelter a few months ago. The experience couldn't have been more different. Our host was unhelpful and it felt like they had no interest in being there. We tried to contact them on the walkie talkie for over ten minutes...I ended up leaving the room to go and find the host at reception with the radio off.......yep very helpful.... When we finally got help the host had no idea where we were even up to. Some of the clues made no sense and were quite disjointed from the story. Some of the items are very worn out and the rooms could do with fixing up We were given no time updates, no photo. For the price, avoid this place and go to Penrith, Parramatta or the city.

Went super excited and keen for the escape room however met with a very unenthusiastic host. She was not engaged or excited but instead dry and boring. She was condescending and not enthusiastic to help. The escape room clues were completely unrelated and stupid. They didn’t relate to the story. A lot of the clues were worn out or scratched and so we were unable to clearly understand what was meant or get any hints at all. Very poor quality. Will not be coming back. Do not recommend.

Unfortunately after reading the reviews of others it seems my experience of the Helter Skeltor room is the same as most. Puzzles were worn and not maintained making some clues literally unusable. This is the first time we have not escaped from a room and I have done 10+ rooms in Sydney. This one was by far not the hardest just stuck trying to use clues that were tattered and old thinking we were using them wrong. Having no visual timer etc also makes it hard to know how you are travelling and if you should ask for more clues. We were only given a 5 minute warning and by then it's too late. The team prior to us was given a 15 min warning though which would have been more helpful. I thought it may have been a one off and that the clues were recently worn out and the staff not yet been advised but seems like a common experience that has not been rectified. The responses state it's meant to look old to fit the theme but I'm talking about clues not being able to be used due to the condition. Other escape rooms keep their theme and have clues that you can still use. Disappointing that the closest escape room is not worth trying the other rooms. Definitely worth the trip to Parramatta or the city for far superior rooms.

Needed to have a more attentive and excitable host. Rooms need to be fixed so that holes aren't in the wall, drawings are re-drawn, cut outs match up properly, and codes aren't already marked. One of the padlocks was already open to a box as well. Worst room and venue I've done in 30+ rooms. No bathrooms on site either

Was fun but not a great experience. Firstly, showed up at time specified. Pouring rain, no shelter. Door locked and we couldn't get in until we rang and someone answered to let us in. One girl trying to run it. We weren't given full instructions on what to do. 2 parts to getting out of a room, only told one, left standing in there for ages radioing her until we got a response as she was talking to someone at front desk. Other team in the second room, didn't have their door locked so didn't even need to do the second part to get out!! The door got stuck, like it had swollen closed she had to ram it to open it (which we wouldn't do as we were also told any breakages we have to pay for it) which took a lot of time away from our experience. But we were still asked to leave at 1 hour. Which is disappointing as was would have made it out. We were almost there and the lost time would have been enough to cover it. Also had to request aircon to be turned on multiple times as we were stuck in a room and it was sweltering. Not a great first experience for an escape room. Things were broken and a bit ratty in the room which made it harder to decipher clues and the walkie talkies weren't great and it was really, really hard to understand what the host was saying.

SCAM ! myself and my partner also organised for kids to be baby sat , we get here 20 minutes early for the door to be locked the escape room to be blacked out and no answer of emails or phone calls highly don’t recommend

From the time we got there the host Natalie made us feel so welcomed and was able to give clear instructions, expectations, and processes to assist. Top escape challenge and well priced. The set up of our challenge was well above many others we have visited. We will be returning and recommending Breakout Escape Rooms a must do challenge. I would think that all of their team are great. But Natalie was 5 star.

Scam!! Booked this place for a night out planned for tonight. Organised for the kids to be baby sat. And all I get is a cancelled email not explaining why or even if they've refunded my money. They won't respond to my email and they are not answering the phone. Just went past there spoken to the neighbouring units and apparently they've haven't been paying there rent and been closed for weeks,but they still have the website up taking g peoples money, scumbags. Had to cancel the card I used as they had taken money multiple times without booking or consent.

If only you responded to my emails and calls as quickly as you do on google

I was surprised that on google, you are rated 4.5. As it was a little disappointing and dated. There was no story going into the room. We just had to read it ourselves. Some of the items were not locked. It's not obvious where to start and what locks go to the combo. We've done heaps of escape rooms, so it does stand out when it's not great. Like it was okay. But my party was disappointed. The quality of the room is a bit old. Walls damaged. Also, it was surprising that we could hear other rooms. Never experienced that before. It was a bit distracting. Like it was okay. But I wouldn't return for another room. I don't like putting negative reviews. But I just wanted to we transparent for others.

Didn't think to check the reviews but thankfully didn't pay anything before turning up to see what was available. The place is closed and the cafe next door says they've been closed for months. No lights, no phones, locked shut.

DON’T bother booking!!!!!!! Had a booking for Friday 20.09.24 for 8:05pm - received an email of the booking confirmation and the deposit was paid. Arrived to our booking and it was closed, all doors locked and lights all off. Waited around for 30mins, no worker arrived. Website said it closes at 10pm. Tried calling the number provided no answer. No email was sent out regarding closure of the place. WE WANT OUR DEPOSIT REFUNDED.

Hey, just a heads up, this business is a scam. They're still taking bookings and saying they're open, but they actually closed down a few weeks ago. And guess what? They're not giving refunds. And don't pick their phones and you can still book their just taking your money

DO NOT BOOK!!!! If i could give 0 stars i would. They're doors have been closed for over a week (according to the cafe nextdoor) there is no way of contacting etc. Looked up their ABN & it's cancelled. I booked online & paid $141 to secure a booking, on the day of booking I get an email saying cancelled" nothing stated regarding a refund. Ignoring emails/calls i even sent a message through tiktok (as they have an account) NOTHING."

Just finished the casino heist. It was very mind boggling but at the same time very fun. We had amazing help and instructions from Patrick. Super friendly staff ! Highly recommended and I recommend taking more than 2 people lol

I had an amazing time at the place. We did both Casino Heist and Helter Skelter; both of which were amazing. Although skelter was quite difficult, it was definitely more fun. Our Games Master was also extremely thorough and super helpful. All in all, it was a great experience that I’d recommend to anyone.

What a great first time experience! My gang went up against Helter Skelter and had a blast. We thought the puzzles were well designed and engaging. Mariam and her co-worker were excellent in providing clear instructions and support. Would recommend to first timers or those looking for something lower budget. Has three different escape room choices for easy-hard difficulty.

The difficulty ratings on the website are very deceiving. We did casino heist which was 3/5 stars but it was way too easy, afterwards we discovered it was meant for children but there was no way of knowing this when booking. The room itself was quite rundown, broken clues , broken doors and a hole in one of the walls. We compared our experience doing money heist with a friend of ours who had done it in the past and it sounded like we missed out on many clues because they were not set up properly (I will not go into detail as to not spoil it for anyone planning to complete this room). This led to the experience seeming disjointed and underwhelming and ultimately led to us finishing the escape room quite quickly. Which is a let down considering the price.

I’m here on a Sunday and it said it would be open by 10am but right now it is 11am and no one is here, no staff, doors locked . Would not recommend to go here, when the time opening is unaccurate.

Not worth the money. There are cheaper escape rooms with a better experience. There was no back story or scene set. Silence in the room. Cheap props and the clues made no sense. You know it’s bad when you need help for the very first move in the room.

Was a little skeptical because of the negative reviews, but i actually enjoyed it! This was my first ever Escape Room. My boyfriend and I did the Casino Heist and it was Great! The games master was also nice & helpful. I would recommend this place.

My son and I had a great time here at Breakout. We started in Casino Heist and had so much fun we doubled down on Helter Skelter. Macy was super helpful and prompt with clues when we needed. The rooms are maybe a little worn and one clue was difficult to read, but overall it's great value for money. HS has an uneasy edge to it as well which added to the fun. Recommended.

did the Helter Skelter. room was of low quality. escape rooms are bought from online so it’s a plug and play with little input from the owners..no passion. staff also took forever to attend to us when we asked for a hint when we were the only guests there. Its one of two escape rooms (the other being Escape Hunt) i felt was there purely for profit and no regard to attempting to provide a genuine good escape room experience. This was also reflected in their staff before and after… felt like they just wanted to be paid with the little detail they gave. Look at some of their responses to their reviews, pure lack of customer service.

We have done over 60 escape rooms and I have to say this is the worst one we have ever done. The room only had about 5 puzzles and they were ridiculous. None of them made sense at all, the themeing looked ok when you first walked in but 90% of it is irrelevant. Some of the puzzles aren't even logical they are just tedious. I don't know if the other rooms are better but the casino one was a huge let down.

We visited Breakout on 13th August. The young lady that helped us was very nice, but the room was a little disappointing. We were told that anything with a red dot sticker was not related to the game, but 2 of the items were indeed clues. Alarms were activated when standing in a certain spot, but they were actually for the room next door. We did the casino room, and were only told on the way out that it was designed for children. On the web site it has a 3 out of 5 rating, but nothing to state that it was for children. This should be noted on the web page so we could have book another room.

The worst escape room in Sydney and I honestly think that all the good reviews here are paid or from their friends because it's not possible to give their rooms 5 stars. We did Houdini room and it was a big empty space with some puzzles disconnected from each other. There wasn't much to do in the room, a plain big empty space with just some random furniture in it. Hosts were also not that friendly compared to other places and did little to no introduction to the room.

We booked this escape room and when we got to our allocated time the place was closed. We tried calling and no one answered. They took half of our money and no one was there at our allocated time. What a joke. I had people interstate. How embarrasing.

NO NO NO DO NOT COME HERE I got absolutely ripped off by this place. Came into the escape room expecting something at least decent, left the escape disappointed and down $400.

The experience was pretty meh. You're better off doing a decent room in the city or in Parramatta. We did the Casino Heist. Our host didn't set the scene or scenario for our room. Didn't even tell us how long we had (altho i knew from our booking, but the friends i brought didnt). Just did basic home keeping rules and then sent us in. It was not immersive at all. The automatic door in the room had been broken by a previous group, we noticed someone had kicked a hole in the wall. The floor and room itself was quite dirty. There was no timer for the room to give even a sense of pressure or anything. We finished the one hour room in 20 minutes (she made a mistake and said we finished the room with 20 minutes left). Which was fine but yeah it was just very mid and given the host didn't explain the room theme or setting we basically went in not really understanding why we were doing the puzzles in the first place. I think you're better off paying $20-30 more to go somewhere else where the host is more fun and interactive with players. Not too mention the silence in the room felt so loud, there were no speakers, music, or interactive sounds. Disappointing because this was the first escape room for my friends and they felt pretty confused and unexcited.

We visited The Breakout Escape Room today and had an amazing time, Mariam helped us out and was very nice. She helped us with out with clues and was very patient with us even though we took a long time to be able to figure out all the different puzzles. The first time I experienced an escape room, I didn’t know what to expect. What I witnessed was an idea which was greatly executed; of endeavouring to escape a psychopath along with a story, props and a few rooms, each unique. The rooms were relatively easy and the clues provided from the staff on-site was very helpful as well. The added; banging on the doors in the adjacent rooms and lights flickering and switching off and back on, heightened our senses and added the factor of fear and suspense to the mix which was great! I recommend this escape room to anyone who hasn’t experienced this before, but to those who are experienced, be warned as this escape room is quite easy, and quick to finish with only a few rooms, all whilst sticking to 1 story.

Tried the helter skelter room and omg it was so much fun! There was 4 of us and i reckon that was the perfect amount of people amazing jump scares and really had us thinking! We got out with 10 mins to go! Overall amazing experience and will def be back to try the houdini room! Staff was amazing considering we were the last group of the night. Didnt rush us and were super helpful with clues and all that!

We did Helter skelter months ago as it was the only room open. We were disappointed in the quality of the props, the lack of connection and sequencing with the clues and overall poor theming of the room. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and returned to try their new room Casino heist. We were given NO back story, the clues did not make sense what so ever, sequencing of clues was extremely out of whack. The quality of the props was disappointing, to the point where we had to just wing it in hopes we were right because clues were so badly damaged. The room was rather boring and extremely hot. We requested a clue repeatedly and were ignored for roughly 6 minutes of our whole game which was a waste of our time. What’s the point of having a game master if they’re not present? Not only that, after our room we weren’t spoken to? I’ve never had a game master just usher us out the door so quick without even asking if we enjoyed the room or had any questions. Both employees seemed miserable and weren’t enjoying their job at all. My friends and I have done over 30 escape rooms and these 2 have by far been the worst we’ve encountered. I’ve never had to leave a bad review on an escape room so this shows the poor quality. Save your money!!

We tried the casino heist ... enjoyed it a lot. Did feel like it needed another stage or room .. feels a bit short TBH. Otherwise the experience was very nice and fun with friends.
