Great rooms. They are large with a nice leafy outlook. Great location. Can't be more central in Hobart, and yet it's on a quiet road. Reception is only open till 5 pm, so if you arrive after 5 pm, check-in is more difficult. In fact, we had trouble finding the email with the pin, and its not possible to use their parking unless you get the tab from the receptionist. Lack of service is disappointing, and makes the price seem too high.

Not bad. Very close to the markets and piers. Very nice bed. Staff are really friendly and helpful!!!! Bathroom : toilet is way way too low to the ground. It’s crazy low!!! Feels like I’m back in preschool. Older people who have mobility issues should stay away !!!!!!!!!!

Zimmer mit Blick auf eine Mauer Sonst sehr gut

Absolute great place to stay when visiting Hobart. Very friendly service :)

The rooms were spacious and well laid out - we kept bumping our heads on the raked ceiling in the apartment - minor issue though. Loved the bathroom and walk-in shower. Obviously location to Salamanca markets is brilliant - having the coffee shop directly below also was a nice touch. Only real complaint was the carpark - we drive a 4x4 as we own a farm in Tassie and the small stacked packing was not conjusive to slightly larger cars.

Truly great service from the reception (Debbie! 😁) but thank you for waiting for me and my wife to reach the hotel 10mins after opening hours and ensuring we were properly checked in before leaving. Rooms were amazingly stocked with ensuite Laundry! With free parking right at Salamanca, this hotel would be my choice of stay the next time I’m in Hobart 😁

Great location to enjoy Hobart from

I was dissapointed because it is called a 5 star hotel, but is definitely not. Room is very small with no airconditioning in the bedroom. I would say it's a 3 star hotel.

All round great apartment accommodation. Very clean rooms (the tv remote control was spotless) The staff, both the cleaners & reception were very helpful and friendly. Especially Nooma! Exceptional customer service. Thank you Nooma 🙏 Great location as well.

A really nice room with plenty of space and all modern cons. Even has a private balcony and the most comfortable bed ❤️ Foxtel an added bonus. Cooking equipment and sage also with a mini bar ❤️😊 5 minute walk to constitution dock and Mures. Two minute walk to ball and chain restaurant and Salamanca. Definitely will come back here

Excellent reception service, parking was available with a special on street permit for our oversized hire car. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location unbeatable for exploring Hobart and Battery Point, also close to the wharves for the boat over the MONA. Great restaurants close by. 100% recommend this hotel for your next stay in Hobart!

This was the 4 th hotel I stayed at during this vacation trip and it was the best. They were responsive to emails during the planning process. They do have parking but can be tricky getting into the garages. If I ever go back to Hobart, this is where I will be staying at.

The receptionist was very friendly and kind, she explained the parking instructions well and offered an umbrella for us to borrow as it was rainy. We had the studio room- it was simple and good for what we paid for and I liked the brand of shampoo/body wash they provide. The location of this hotel is very central to everything. We were able to park our SUV car in the car lift, it was quite a tight fit but it was great that parking is included in the price of the hotel. We were always able to get parking there which was good.

The reception is closed on 5pm, and the hotel parking lot will not be provided after that. The customer service just told us to park our car to the street parking lot, but it is already full, we are really helpless and the CS just said they can only feel sorry about that nothing can help and cut our line. I booked this hotel because of the free parking lot provided by the hotel, but finally they told us to park in the street, so it becomes meaningless for choosing this hotel. And they have a dirty cup on the table when we arrived. Also the drying machine is very terrible, we need to take at least 5 hours for drying couple of T-shirt.

I was in one of the one-bedroom apartments and they were very comfortable and well appointed. Given the amount of traffic I witnessed outside, the room was very quiet indeed. The facilities in the room were of a high standard and all worked very well, the 'rain' shower was a special treat. The hotel is located in Salamanca Wharf but only a 2-minute walk away from the really touristy bit where the market is held and where the louder pubs are located. From my perspective it is a great location. It is also only a short walk to the ferries and meeting points for any day tours.|The Staff were very helpful and communicated well prior to my arrival and during my stay. To top it off I thought the price was very reasonable

Great apartment hotel close to everything, we only stayed 1 night but will be back again. Had a lovely evening walk around the wharves and docks, and then a morning walk around Battery Point.

Very cozy and beautiful service apartment/hotel in Hobart! Facilities are well looked after, clean and tidy. We also had no trouble parking our car during the stay so if you think about parking inclusion in the room rate, this is very good value hotel and it does have the quality! The reception lady, Kirra was amazing staff for helping us when we had trouble to arrive on Saturday due to road closure by market she helped us as much as she could, she also have the nature of service mind the hotel should feel thankful-she is the jewel of the hotel. One thing I recommend the hotel to describe on their website- please describe drive instruction for Saturday rod closure, we knew it before check in and tried to find the info but we couldn’t so relied on google map but of course the Siri kept asking us to drive thru the road which was closed, and Kirra kindly helped us to drive alternative way, but before we arrived we tried to find the info about it but there was none on your website.

Great apartments with all modern amenities. Very comfortable beds. Fantastic location and very friendly staff. Will stay here again when I next visit Hobart.

When holidaying in Tassie this is our go to place to stay in Hobart. Close to everything we love Food, markets, waterfront, museums, shops and of course Mt Wellington you have it all at your fingertips. The staff are amazing and we always look forward to coming back because it feels like home. Thanks again and see you soon

I cannot understand the negative reviews regarding Salamanca Wharf Hotel. We have just returned from 19 nights split up by a week in Queensland. I must say that it is ideal for that purpose with a good sitting area/kitchen, great bathroom and bedroom. We had two rooms - a street facing room with balcony on the 2nd floor forbour first week, followed by a rear facing room on the 3rd floor, no balcony, for the second stay. Both were good but the first one did lack good cupboard space in the bedroom. Some balcony furniture would have been nice.||Both rooms had a washer/drier in the bathroom which is essential when you are away for a month. ||The car stacker for free parking is a very good facility as long as the car isn’t too big. No charge for this which is great. It is perhaps a little slow sometimes but you learn to adapt to this.||The cafe is a great facility to have onsite, and the proximity to Salamanca and the rest of Hobart is great. It’s true that it doesn’t have good views, but that isn’t essential for us. ||The beds good be bigger, but that would be my only comment.||Staff very friendly and helpful, especially housekeeping. ||If you are on a short stay then perhaps this isn’t the right place, but it was perfect for us - like having your own apartment. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else to be honest.

Beware! You may not get what you paid for!!! We paid over $1,000 for a three night stay in a premium apartment which had a disability bathroom , definitely not premium quality!! Looked like a public toilet facility. When complained about what we actually booked as per pictures were told theirs nothing they could do and then offered us a cheap bottle of wine to compensate! Read the reviews before booking as they have others with similar experiences. Definitely won’t be back!!!!

Don’t pay them until you see your room as what you order may not be what you get as we found out . I would look elsewhere as there’s no parking for motorcycles or large cars . Staff are nice but can’t do anything. Oh and did I mention no hot water !!

Paid top dollar for a well appointed apartment and got a bathroom which you find in a public park . No help what so ever from management. Showed them what we booked online and it went no where. The bathroom was a disabled bathroom with no hot water . Surely this should be for someone with special needs . Never back again

Fish and chips are very good and tasty like last time. i will tell all my friends to come have an eat here same as good54. very good experience88882222222222222222222222222222222222222222222212222222222222222222222222222222222222222222

Modern, clean accomodation. Well positioned property. CBD & Port walkable. Raking on site is by utilising a car stacker which was a first for me, but worked very well.

Lovely place to stay, very close to the waterfront, Salamanca, and all the tourist attractions of Hobart. Quiet street facing a marine research facility, (however no views of the water due to the building in front). Prices were good value when I stayed, reception staff very helpful and efficient. Rooms excellent, nice layout, clean and stylish. Bed very comfortable.

Got a room with a balcony |Clean and cosy |Has all amenities that you need |Kettle / coffee / sugar/ mini bar |Washing machine/ dryer. Etc |Great location close to bars/restaurants and harbour friendly and helpful staff |Price for room was like anywhere else|Enjoyed our stay

Certainly would not return to this hotel after our experience. Make sure you get what you have requested and payed for.|We booked a premium King with washer and dryer. We got a room designed for disabled designed for showering in a wheelchair, extremely slippery floor, no washer dryer. Approached the receptionist and was given all the usual excuses but was told we would be moved next day. Alas in the morning told that nothing available they had given them all to a group booking. We had booked two premium kings as we were travelling with friends. The room they got was what we booked. The receptionist was polite to start with but soon become very defensive when questioned. Not a nice experience. Adjoining cafe good for breakfast.||Absolutely enjoyed our two weeks in Tasmania and Hobart is a beautiful city.

Paid in advance for 3nights |What we paid for and what we got was unacceptable !!!!!! King premium suite with washer/drier chosen as we had been traveling for two weeks prior so wanted to clean our clothes |What we got was a large, cold dark room with wheelchair access for disabled people |No washer/drier, bathroom was dangerous with totally wet floors when the shower was used including the toilet being in the same room. Bitterly disappointed !!!|And we asked to change to the room we paid for but were told not available!!!!!!! We were Offered Maybe a bottle of sparkling wine to compensate. Not appropriate at a $1075.00 for 3night|

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel. Everything was great. Location is perfect, the room was very quiet, generous in space and lovely facilities. We were well looked after. A big shout out to Caitlin who overheard us telling another couple that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and left a lovely unexpected gift in our room.

Really nice hotel. Car park is tricky being a lift style.

Spent our last night in Tassie here. We were kindly upgraded into a Penthouse Loft. It was spacious and the bed and comforter were so comfortable. There was complimentary coffee & tea, and toiletries. Good strong wifi. Staff were welcoming - a special thanks to Jen for being so warm and friendly on our arrival. A very nice experience indeed. If we return to Hobart, we will return to SWH!

Lovely hotel, friendly considerate staff, super-comfy bed, lovely shower, well equipped kitchenette (although we ate out) and a perfect location. Unfortunately, their air-con was being repaired so we were given two very efficient ceramic heaters - just as good as air-con. Bonus was the wonderful cafe (Farzi) downstairs where we coffee'd once and breakfasted twice. We have friends in Hobart so will be back - definitely.

Chose this place due to its cleanliness rating and within 20 minutes found black hairs over hand towels. People I dealt with were very accomodating and friendly.

Well above expectations. Ideal accomodation close to Salamanca and the city. Undercover secure parking was available. Everything you needed for a week away from home was provided. Short walk to Salamanca Fresh for groceries. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

Great location just round the corner from the market and food/art strip. Rooms are very clean and have an the amenities you need. We had the top floor so got a sloping roof, which #WatchYourHead off you're 6 feet tall and sleep on the low roof side of the bed. Peaceful and warm in the rooms, shielded from the cold and bustle of outside.

Excellent accommodation! Spacious rooms, clean facilities, friendly staff and within walking distance to all amenities (yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy some peace and quiet). Great little cafe downstairs for your morning coffee!! A big bonus.

Great stay with the perfect location, if you stay on a Saturday you cannot miss the salamanca markets which is only a stroll away. Plenty of the best food options in Hobart as well. Only caveat is the reception is not 24/7, while you can do late check in with their key drop boxes, if you have your own car you have to find parking outside which may be annoying. Once reception sets you up with a park keep in mind it's stackers so it won't fit bigger cars and it can be a new experience for someone who hasn't used stackers before

So good to stay at, great rooms, close to everything.

Outstanding room and close to everything . Not motorcycle friendly though as they have a stacker car park which means you have to use a commercial car park.

Stayed at Salamanca Wharf Hotel as part of our honeymoon trip in Tassie and couldn't have picked a better location, lovely apartment and convenient location just a stone's throw away from attractions (Saturday Salamanca markets is almost on your doorstep!). Had a wonderful view of Prince's park across the road and Salamanca place down the road. A wonderful spot and would 100% stay here again. Parking for our car was also very convenient and straightforward. Thank you to the staff for making our stay in Hobart a wonderful experience.

It's okay.

Beautiful comfortable boutique hotel. Has everything you need in the most convenient location to the CBD. Stayed here twice now and already looking forward to coming back.

Great place to stay in Hobart.

Bed was good as was the shower. Dining chairs uncomfortable. Sloping roof in loft apartment is a head injury waiting to happen. Location at Salamanca is excellent. Breakfast was lovely every day. Hotel and cafe staff were fantastic.

Great place to stay staff were always helpful and pleasant rooms were clean and new towels everyday while we were there which I loved, close to restaurants even though we had a car a walk to everywhere salamanca markets the city harbourside so many restaurants to choose from, it was the best place to stay still quiet but still so close . We loved our stay and will definitely return we had a balcony and a washer dryer in our room shower pressure was great and kitchen had everything even though we didn't use also had a fully stocked mini bar. Cafe downstairs to grab a coffee and Japanese or Italian restaurant just a few doors down if you don't want to walk far. The stacker parking is complimentary for customers we only used our vehicle twice while we were there because of the location. You don't need a vehicle if your staying here everything is available to shuttle buses and tour buses along the wharf. Thank you for a lovely stay!!!

Hotel Manager is amazing, rooms are gorgeous, late check in instructions perfect, parking is equally as superior, house keeping staff are outstanding and the king size beds and pillows are just delicious. Be silly not to stay here. Will definitely return and could not more highly recommend.

From the moment I walked into reception, I was greeted by lovely and staff. The car I was driving was just a little too long for their carpark stacker. We tried… but staff promptly assisted with an alternative parking arrangement without any fuss. The room is perfect. I write this review having just laid down in the bed, and I have to say - it’s sooooo cozy! I travel to Hobart regularly for work, and this bed would have to be the most comfortable one I have come across in this city. The central location on Salamanca Wharf is a great base and a quick walk to pretty much anything. Will I be back? Absolutely!

Absolutely stunning penthouse loft apartment I stayed in with fully stacked minibar. The front reception staff were nothing but kind and accommodating. Recommend to anyone staying in Hobart for the full stay or a partial stay. It is absolutely amazing. Close to absolutely everything.

No pride in the room. Very unloved and neglected. I purchased a package deal and only 50% was honoured.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Great location.

Good hotel with friendly staff and well appointed rooms definately go back

Great room comfy bed excellent location and great service

Great proximity to markets and dining places.walking distance

The 2 stars are generous.. First of all the rooms were so smelly we had to leave the windows open all the time. The sheets had a horrible stale, sweaty smell to them and when I asked the first morning if we could change the sheets as they were dirty the receptionist replied in a annoyed tone OK. No questions were asked or apologies but I am sorry I do not think she would have wanted to sleep in dirty, smelly sheets with hair of all types through them. A little bit of courtesy and respect goes a long way. Anyway needless to say we won't be back and the $ we paid for the rooms were ludicrous to what we received. The smell of the room went all through our cases so we had to wash every piece of clothing on return home. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Good location, modern apartment.

This place is just perfect if you want some space, a spot near but not on top of the hub that is Hobart (ie its a block away, but just not on top), and some nice, good digs for your money. We stayed here for 2 nights and we will be back!

Nice rooms and a great little place to stay!

Amazing! The bedroom with a bathtub was fabulous and I would absolutely stay there again

Coffee is good/ washroom on site / gluten free options / staff pleasant

Lovely rooms, easy check-in

Comfy Beds Great Service

It's comfortable and well located... But the lower level rooms (below level 3) have no view. So if you don't want to stare at a rock wall inches from your windows, you may care to stay elsewhere

Comfy and clean room. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star hotel. Good location. If travelling with infants be mindful that staff's not very friendly and charge $40 per night for a cot!

Clean, spacious and comfortable

Good location Clean room Not 5 star as advertised though Good in room cofee options

You would struggle to get a better located hotel in Hobart than Salamanca Wharf. 2 minutes from the markets, Battery Point up the stairs behind you, and the waterfront and city all within 10 minutes. Rooms are big and bright and there’s everything you need for a long stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. The car stacker was great to use, and once explained a simple task, and so good to be able to just leave the car there for free and walk the city. There’s a café in the foyer, but we preferred Salamanca Cream a few doors up, which had awesome coffee and pastries. Service here was friendly and helpful, though the front desk was not staffed for much of the week. There’s a superb, though pricey grocery story in Salamanca nearby. Rooms were super quiet, and the bathroom was big and clean. The one gripe is the almost total lack of closet space. There was a single, minuscule area for hanging clothes, which could only be reached by a basketballer with long arms – very bizarre. Highly recommended for a longer stay with great access to everything you need.

Couldn’t be happier with our stay here. The pleasantness and kindness of the staff was a lovely surprise and as a frequent traveller to Hobart I will definitely be back. Thanks!

It is a nice hotel, clean and a good location. But it isn't 5 stars, very noise building can here other quests in stairwell and rooms above. Overall good experience but I wouldn't stay here again.

Stunning rooms .service impecable .location perfect . Every ones needs to stay here at least one night .thank you I stayed two in the luxury .wow

Pop in and grab a beer and a whiskey, move outside to the wharf and watch the sun go down.

Clean, modern, tasteful, and in the heart of Salamanca Place.

In the heart of the city with everything on our doorstep, great value for $$ with all amenities & finished off with a delicious breaky in the morning

Ordinary and expensive. Room did not slightly match advertising

Hotel is located in a great spot, close to lots of restaurants. Easy after hours entry. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Spa bath in room was great. Well stocked mini bar. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Great location, very comfy bed, bathroom amenities great - single spa, clothes washing m/c & dryer. Main lounge room bit spartan and no balcony. Definitely for bed only and plenty of nearby restaurants to dine.

Nicky at reception was a delight - welcoming and informative. The apartment is everything we expected, feels well built and appointed, and this is the first place I think I've ever stayed where the kitchen has a complete set of useful utensils, crockery and cookware.

Good location, but views are terrible!
