Castle Hill RSL

The reception staff were extremely unprofessional and condescending. Was met with attitude the moment I entered the RSL with my family. Everyone has their bad days, but I expect better service from an RSL which is meant to represent our veterans!

Contractor Security Guards hired are mostly (not all) social misfits and bullies who have difficulty in differentiating regular and prominent Club Members from belligerent revellers and riotous drunkards. This is ultimately the responsibility of the Club Security Manager and the Club Floor and Gaming Manager who regularly have to whitewash serious incidents. There obviously is a lack of proper orientation amongst their employ in which descent, respectable patrons are being bullied, harrassed and victimised. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the floor managers and supervisors to provide duty of care to the bonifide club members and patrons who is the “bread and butter” of the club. A short and lack of understanding of this prime objective makes the club employees impotent, abusive and unworthy of their position. Many surrounding club have successfully enticed players with much bonuses and gifts just to move to them, Castle Hill RSL still has to prove that it is worthy for it’s high rollers to stay. Not even a $5 forever membership will keep good players to stay as soon as they discover the unfriendly and unprofessional staff that abounds in the club. This is to hope that the club executives will sort this out and weed out the inefficiency and mismanagement of its employ in the organisation.

I visited Lucy’s Neighbourhood Bar again. Fabulous staff. Pleasant atmosphere. I can always find my favourite cocktails as the experienced bartenders can always tailor-made the best cocktails for me. So professional. They won’t disappoint you. :) Lucy’s neighbourhood bar has beautiful music and fabulous cocktail bartenders. It is a fantastic place to enjoy drinks and dancing with family and friends.

We have never had a single problem with any staff for years down there,they have always been professional. I can't believe the gaming manager on Friday night 31st Jan 2025. He was unhappy that we had 4 of us around a machine and said it was against the gaming policy. So many ways to be respectful to your customers but the gaming manager was extremely aggressive using standover aggressive body language with intent of intimidation and outright rude. I can't believe the establishment would allow one of their staff to behave in this manner. Where is the respect policy.

We are locals and have been using this club for years but last night in the gaming area after we had put hundreds of dollars in the machines trough out the night we were approached by a staff member and asked not to play the machine together as its a crowding issue.. there were 4 of us and we were not blocking anyone nor loud or even noisy.. so we asked to talk to the manager and we asked why we were all of a sudden a problem and he said yous are a crowd.. he was aggressive and very rude and made us leave... we did nothing wrong and we will never step foot in these premises again.

Loved the place, super huge with different places to dine or have lunch. I went to this amazing Chinese restaurant there. I would tell you they have gluten free menu. I had the best fried rice like it took me back to Malaysia. That was the best memory to visit. I would visit it again and again. Loved the service and the patrons. By the way be a member of RSL it has benefits cheap meals 🤣

Such a terrible experience we had last night! So disappointed with all staff and specially confused and rude managers. There was no customer service.

So many flies and insects at indoor food court

The meal was inedible. Their steak was dry and overcooked. It is time something was done by management about the quality of the food.

Nice food and good atmosphere for families

It is a nice bubbly environment with lot of options to eat along with kids play area. Loved the vibe and the food. Relaxing yet had an energy to keep you uplifted

Had lunch there yesterday 3 very small pieces of fish & chips, which were cool not quite cold $30 what a ripoff bought 2 lemon squashes $10.40 I think that’s a bit rich I don’t know how pensioners can afford to eat here Also saw a chef or kitchen hand fill his water bottle with the lip touching the fountain dispenser nozzle I thought chefs etc had to do hygiene education well this person hasn’t done that hopefully no one gets sick from this uneducated person

Lovely place to catch up with friends. The parents room is clean and nice. Shout out to Stanley, the bartender, who was lovely and is amazing at customer service

Atmosphere and furnishings are excellent. Coffee shop offers good value and selection. Husband had prawn chow mein and I had lunch special at bistro. We both were disappointed. His meal was unpalatable and mine was very small portions and soggy. Next time we might just get toasted sandwiches and coffee from coffee shop.

Went with a friend and had coffee and sweet treats. Everything was delicious. The playground nearby was hectic and the kids loved it.

Has Chinese foods too and many people during weekends

Love this place! It’s probably the most beautiful RSL I’ve ever seen, and it’s absolutely massive. The staff are all so friendly, welcoming, and go out of their way to be helpful and accomodating. Haven’t tried the food yet, but everything on offer looks incredible and I’m stoked to try their pizza and several of their other dishes. Very thankful to have visited during Christmas because the decorations were magnificent.

I just wanted to share something about my recent visit to Caste Hill RSL. The lovely worker Raymond was amazing, he cleant up our table and surroundings, took photos of us, and made sure we were having a great time. He had some funny jokes aswell, which made the table laugh and you could tell he really enjoyed his job! So thank you Raymond!!! We will definitely be back. From Olivia and Tom

Amazing place to njoy party

Great for Gatherings, But Portions Are Shrinking! The downstairs bistro (Courtyard Kitchen) is a great spot to catch up with family or friends over a meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the menu has a decent selection. That said, I've noticed the meals are getting pricier, and the portion sizes are shrinking. For an average adult, some dishes just aren’t filling enough anymore, which is disappointing because the portions used to be much more generous. I ordered the salt and pepper squid (as pictured), and while the taste was fine, the serving size was definitely smaller than before. The chips were barely there. The food itself is alright, but I really hope they reconsider the portion sizes to give better value for money.

A great family club! A wonderful gym and aqua facility. A great active Sub Branch for return people. Make sure you check it out!

Great club. Friendly staff. Went to yum cha for brunch with friends food was to die for. Fresh real tasty can't wait to go back.

This place has taken a dive in the past few years. Don't bother going to the new restaurant Short Cut. The food is bland and overpriced with staff more concerned with clearing plates over allowing you to eat your meal. Courtyard Cafe is just as rubbish. Kids meal came out after 10 minutes. We then waited for over 40 mins for our meals before the waitress almost delivered 2 of then to the wrong table. Seriously has gone down hill, more concerned about pokie revenue over quality food or service.

Very nice RSL. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely consider coming back. Resturaunts are also very nice.
