Very lovely staff and food is absolutely amazing.

If you get past the smoke smell, it's probably one of the best Thai places I've tried in Sydney. Had the Khao Soi: excellent and the Pad Thai: amazing. Pair ir with a White Rabbit dark ale and you're good to go for the evening.

Super delicious Thai food. Great value too. I'll return to try more.

If I could give a 0 star. terrible experience last night. My friend and I tried to enter, but the security guard at the door stopped my friend, saying that he ‘walks funny.’ My friend （48 yo）has a minor physical condition that affects his walking, and it was extremely upsetting to see him discriminated against because of it. The bar only had 3-4 customers inside, so it’s not like they were too busy. It’s disappointing to see a business treat people this way, especially when it wasn’t crowded at all. With plenty of other awesome bars nearby, will definitely never walk into this place again.

Mountbatten Bar Nick refused me service because the bar is uncomfortable with me for who I am, gay. Mountbatten has refused to provide any explanation after I have contacted them. I'm writing this before I escalate it further as it is both illegal and morally reprehensible for refusing service based on sexual orientation in NSW.

A couple of staff at Mountbatten are homophobic.

Overnight stay was great. Right at Central railway, Chinatown on doorstep and a skip to Darling Harbour.

As a 38yr old, its been a long time since a bar refused me service. Had a long day at work so we went there for some after work downtime and was refused service after 3 beers. It was humiliating, the bar staff said he saw me burp (it was hand over mouth and quite). One day he may experience a 38yr old digestive system and realise what getting older is like.

I went to the bar downstairs a little while back with plans to go to a few venues with a friend. We enjoyed the cocktails so much that we ended up coming back that night instead of checking out other venues. The staff that were on were super efficient and friendly, and their recommendations were perfectly on point. I had a great time, and the vibes were perfect the whole night. Happy hour till 8pm definitely helped haha

Very nice pub, Jack, notably the most well mannered barman I've met. Jay, manager should be proud of his establishment & staff.

Came in for a drink at the bar downstairs called Cherries. They have a pokies room out the back that is separate to the main front bar. Front bar is called Cherries and generally serve great drinks at average prices. Happy hour is a great deal and they have a members rewards app that also gets you additional discounts on drinks, including during happy hour. The kitchen is open till 2130. Current deal is a burger and beer for $18 (members) $20 (non-members) on Monday and Tuesday from 5:30 Drinks came in a really good time. Will head back!

Pessimo lugar para comer, pedi um hambúrguer de kimchi, não havia nada de kimchi, o hambúrguer veio queimado, não é possível comer completamente, questionado se eu era maior de idade 3 vezes, mesmo após a entrega do meu passaporte, continuaram a fazer perguntas sobre minha nacionalidade. O que era para ser uma parada rápida apenas para comer um hambúrguer se tornou um aborrecimento.

Stopped in for drink and dinner on a Saturday night. Food was good, service was quick. Lovely to sit outside and chat with friends.

The personal was so rude. Just skip this place and go forward to another place.

The personal is so rude, I’ve been with my girlfriend which is alcohol free and they rejected us just because I was joking with my girlfriend about to marry her. We were just finish our shift and this is really funny. My advice is to go forward to another place.

Nicha and You were incredible so friendly and great vibe! Security was also so friendly and making sure everyone was having a great time !

Cocktails were not that good and their security guy was really rude.

Dinner here was good value and tasty. Good service by the staff.

Full Disclosure... This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. I have always walked past on my way to other venues, but this time, I was on my own and had no friends to influence my decision-making 😀 The interior had more of a cocktail vibe than I expected and in a good way. You can't get a sense for the good job they have done on remodelling the interior when you walk by. If only they had dedicated some funds to make outside more attractive. The outdoor area is no different from any other pub along George Street, so why would you venture inside? Go along and let me know what your thoughts on the place are.

Reluctant to give this place a good review in fear of some hipsters buying it and destroying it, as they do with most good pubs in Sydney... Anyway, here goes! The food is awesome, as are the cocktails, not to mention the happy hour prices! Service is spectacular, as are the staff... A (not so) hidden gem right smack in the middle of downtown Sydney! And a great place to people watch from the outdoor tables... Never change Mountbatten Hotel... Never change...

People at the bar where great, howver petty bouncer with nothing else to do... really trying get onour nerves with no reason, to the point he said I was not welcome. Very disgusting individual. This was on 24 Nov 2023. Would avoid just that individual. As I dont have the option to reply to the business response to my review im editing my original review. I suggest you to do a through investigation and actually watch the cctv to effectivelly prove that I ever attempted to jump the fence. The individidual interpretation of the facts are not quite correct. I reiterate watch the images to make definite conclusions. Not accurate and not pleasant the overal treatment.

Great place for a Bento Box and beer lunch special for $15. Choice of protein (karage chicken, crispy pork or squid) with two other choices (Gyozas, coconut rice, Asian salad or fries) and any beer on tap. Great value!

Friday afternoon happy hour was perfect! Givens pulls off the best cocktails. We loved the passionfruit mojito and salted caramel espresso martinis - thank you!

It was 3pm and lunch service was finish but they came through made us an awesome lunch and we’re lovely to talk with.

They’re offering lunch deal of BENTO for 15$ including Drinks either wine, beer or Non Alcoholic Beverages. The Portions is Good As well! Awesome Place and Such a vibe in Sydney 🤙🏾 High Marks and good steal in to eat in Sydney 🔥

For a bar with no one inside the security wouldn't let a small group of friends and I inside because we were dressed up as minions over madigras weekend. Other nights inside show the bar has decent priced drinks but as soon as the seccy see's you having fun you better watch out. Really hope they change up soon because it's a good location but for now save your time and money and just go scruffy murphies down the road
