Best place ever!

Great ambience

We found our stay very pleasant. The bar staff are wonderful, the Manager is exceptional. We were well looked after above and beyond what you would receive anywhere. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Please teach your staff how to correctly pour Guinness.

Room was as advertised and the meals in the bistro meals were great...👍

Extremely uncomfortable stay, beds were covered in stains of bodily fluids, and ceiling was covered in mould. The one upside was the price, and the staff were friendly enough.

방에는 바퀴벌레가 많았으며 바닥과 벽이 공간이 있어서 바퀴벌레가 계속 왔다갔다 했습니다 그리고 방에 있는 냄새는 좋지 않았습니다 공용화장실이며 두개밖에 없어서 불편했고 좋은 잠자리를 잘 수 없어서 저는 차에서 잠이 들었습니다 정말 끔찍하면서 가격도 아까웠습니다

Best ever pub food ! I always come here just to eat I live 20-25 mins away and will gladly anytime anyday driver here for the food. It’s always been so perfect and delicious my number one pub! & the service is always immaculate and professional thank yous

My 1st experience with Doonside Hotel was ok. I was greeted warmly, and was explained the check in and access to my room. The room was clean, the bathrooms are clean, presentable and unisex shared. There is Tv, free wifi, a bar fridge and beverages with kettle. They supply towels etc. The beds are comfortable and clean sheets and blankets. However the only negative thing I can say is that I had 2 large cockroaches wanted to share my bed, which I chased them out of my room. I will be staying again as it is in a great location.

Food is quite good and not expensive. Beer at good prices, Rech's served nice and cols

Only the manager could check people in so we had to wait for them to be available which was slightly frustrating when other staff members were available. Rooms were a good size and beds comfy although our room (family room) was right next to a vent which was noisy throughout the night even with the windows all firmly shut. Bathrooms were clean and a good size, although only 2 which meant we sometimes had to wait for 1 to be available but not a big issue. Wifi was intermittent.

My room stank, no curtains so for the whole night it was day light. Absolutely terrible, doors banging all night, really dodgy . This photo is at 4 in the morning

Located above a Pub and Bistro which is extremely convenient. The Manager here is extremely friendly. If you're looking for the microwave there is a kitchenette at the end that has one. It was a very comfortable room. Just so you know there is $100 bond fee at check in cash or on card. Refunded after room is checked :) Thanks for a comfortable stay 😊

Bunkerish pub with a miserable air and miserable staff that outnumbered the miserable guests. The beer garden is concrete and barren but is nicer than the inside. A little distant from the station. The good thing is that it's pretty cheap for drinks and food.

The food was fabulous, and I couldn't complain about size or prices as they were really good.

Had a rude person on arrival and the room was up two flights of stairs. Very disappointed. The $10 Kmart bin in the bathroom was rusted. Would not be going back.

The Chef is amazing and the food is Divine as they put there love in all there meals they prepare, much love to the chefs.

When I first checked in, it took about 15 mins for the staff to find a key for the room and for them to check to see if the room was clean even though I booked in advance and also gave my ETA. The room smelt bad like mould or damp, or both. I tried to live with it, but it was so bad I asked for another room. I was shown 3 different rooms and they all smelt horrible like damp carpet and mould. I complained and was told that's what I should expect for the price. I ended up staying in the 2nd room for the night. Both rooms had hair on the beds, the air-con had mould inside it and the air-con stunk when I turned it on. Outside someone across the street was yelling over the phone (sounded like a drug deal) making death threats to someone else. Next morning upon checking out around 8:30 am, I went to pick up my $100 deposit (required to pay at check in, in case you damage the room) and no staff were about. I received it a week later after giving my bank details. 1st and last time staying there.

After reading some of the reviews, I was worried about cleanliness, but I found the room and ensuite to be very clean. The carpet was a little stained, but it had been cleaned as well as possible. We arrived late at night, and the night manager was very helpful and friendly. The window would not close fully (not a security issue as we were on the second floor) but the street noise was clearly audible. Thankfully it was a Tuesday night, so it was fairly quiet, but the birds were noisy in the morning. I would not have wanted to stay there on a Friday or Saturday night.

Lovely clean and bright rooms. The front rooms are a bit noisy when trains go past. Excellent food in the Bistro and great friendly staff and regulars.

Greeted by cockroaches in the room 🤮 10/10 will not recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was not cleaned. The toilets were disgusting, the shower was disgusting. I boiled water 5 times to get rid of the black dirt and hair sitting in the bottom of the shower basin. And after that, I was still uncomfortable using the shower! There were spider webs above the toilet window and that window does not shut! The bed sheets and pillow cases had stains!!! One of the blankets even had blood stains on it! Disgusting! . There was hair, and ants on one of the beds too. The coffee mugs were so dusty and unwelcoming! The place didn’t have a working TV, the windows were broken, so naturally all the dust and wind from outside were coming in…and all the noise from outside is easily heard inside! We had to climb stairs to get to our room. There is no elevator, so if you’re alone or have kids, its hard to get to the room. The bin in the bathroom was also full with what looked like napkins. Gross. There was a cigarette smell to the room when we first enter - not sure if its because of the air from downstairs, or if someone was smoking in the bedroom. Their website also says that the hotels “full” but during the nights that we stayed, we never once saw the carpark full or people walking in and out. Dont stay here. You’re better off spending more at a more decent and clean place.

We stayed in the rooms upstairs and were welcomed by toothpaste on the windows, giant cockroaches, no working tvs, windows you can't see out of, no decorations or enough supplies for our family of 5, and the sound of drunks fighting until 4 am. The food at the pub is alright, and the location is close to all the doonside stores, but even for the cheap price, you're better off paying the extra for a room that doesn't feel like a hospital room.

Brilliant

We were simply enjoying our family meal with few drinks when the staff asked us to finish our drink and live. Meanwhile on the other side were drunk people who were not asked to live🥵🥵 summing it up. Unprofessional and racist staff🤢🤢🤢🤢

The hotel is a beautiful place for families and communities and the food is Amazing love Doonside Hotel id give 10 star's ☺️

Found someone hair on my bed. Crawling insect toilet not clean. Messy wardrobe. Total disgusting. Not happy at all. Dont waste your money. Not worth it.
