Great staff. I'm curious about the legality of their non return policy on certain items. Under the ACL, you are entitled to a refund if the product you purchased: Is faulty or has a serious defect: If the product is significantly different from what was described or expected, it is considered to have a major fault. For example, a smartphone that fails to turn on after charging would have a major fault. Does not do what it is supposed to do: This applies where the product does not fulfill the purpose for which it was bought, such as a printer that consistently jams and cannot print documents. Is unsafe: If the product poses a safety risk, like an electric kettle that sparks when turned on, it is considered faulty. Is not as described: If the product does not match its description, such as a silk dress that is manufactured from cotton, you can claim a refund. Does not fit the intended purpose: If you specifically communicated your need for a product to function as represented to the seller, and it fails to meet that need (i.e, buying a waterproof jacket that turns out to be water-resistant), you are entitled to a refund. Does not last a reasonable length of time: A product must function or last for a reasonable length of time. For example, if you purchase shoes that fall apart within the first few days of wear, these are considered to be faulty. So I hope that they do not try and obfuscate the legal responsibility and what I understood was a miscommunication.

Outstanding service from Lochie in the phones section.. wow did he help with my lost phone fiasco, even going so far as to loading my new phone with a sim and then connecting it with the number from my lost phone.. it even had a bunch of my contacts already.. I was so grateful- I thought it was going to take a month of Sundays to get telstra to hook up my old number to my new phone, but he totally cut out the middle man, and even offered to help find me a better plan at a later date. Friendly, and super fast too- he hooked me up in 15 minutes flat!! Not used to such thorough help and friendly service from kids today, but Lochie was just all round impressive young man. Well done, mate

Good place to go for all your electronic entertainment goods. Great everyday prices, but wait for the sales if you can. Why not see if you can get a good deal on your entertainment tv and sound system like I did.

The staff here are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Fiona was terrific at helping me to decide whether a laptop or PC would best suit my needs and talked me through the range of laptops that would suit my work load.

Full credit of this review is for Jordana in the phone section. After a very brief conversation about a couple new phones/plans Jordana immediately filled my wife and I with the confidence and belief that we would be given the honest and accurate advice. Her knowledge of the products, providers and the best possible solution for our needs seemed all too easy. We went home that evening and further discussed and met with her the next morning as planned. She greeted my wife and I by name, remembered EVERY detail of the previous days conversation and immediately began the long process of making everything work exactly as planned. We spent at least 2 hours together and not once did I have any concerns about what she was providing us. We bith walked away extremely satisfied and very impressed her service. Well done and thank you Jordana, I hope your management makes you aware of this review.

Called in as we wanted to purchase Australian sim cards for our UK phones. We discussed this with a very helpful assistant, who we think was called Jordana. We purchased the sim, a good deal, and Jordana managed to swap the sim and then register the cards for us. So nice to encounter a very helpful member of staff who went the extra mile for 2 seniors from the UK.

The most beautiful boy, sort of thick set but not judging, long sort of curly hair, I love you. My iPhone wouldn’t charge, looking for a solution, he got a pin and cleaned out my phone, got a charger and hello, my phone charged. Sorry to JB but he sorted me, he was awesome at no charge. Sad to see how the CD section has been reduced. But that it the way of the future.

I get that physical media is dying, or dead, but this is just another Kmart, Target, Harvey Norman-style department store now. The staff are great, though.

Today I was fortunate enough to be helped by Mohammed, the store's apple champion, he was tremendously helpful with my purchase and went above and beyond to make my customer experience the best it could be. Every staff member was very helpful and I truly recommend the store.

slightly misleading advertising

Trying to look for headphones before I go in store to buy them but every single thing I see, is online order only. How are you supposed to know what is in store if you don't even show it on the website. Just ridiculous

I’ve always came to JB HI FI for vinyls and CD’s, earlier this year I bought my first ever vinyl and an awesomely epic worker gave me an amazing discount and I couldn’t thank him more, he was super kind and totally made my day. So whoever that worker was with the red dyed hair, you’re super cool.

I went to JB Hi-Fi today with my boyfriend to purchase a pair of AirPods. We had already decided to buy them, so all we needed was for a staff member to unlock the cabinet and help us with the purchase. We waited for 2-3 minutes by the AirPods display until a sales associate came over. He told us he didn’t have the key to open the cabinet but would find someone who could help. After waiting for over 10 minutes, no one came to assist us. Meanwhile, another sales associate helped two other groups of customers near us, but no one addressed our issue. We were in a rush and urgently needed the product, so we eventually had to ask the nearby sales associate for help and managed to make the purchase. However, the experience left a bad impression due to the poor customer service and lack of team communication:( The experience at this City store was really disappointing. When I visited the JB Hi-Fi at Eastland Shopping Center, the staff were much more patient and enthusiastic, even when I was only asking questions.

Pre-ordered an iPhone 16 pro max today from Hobart Store, I don’t remember the staff name, but that guy definitely deserves a raise, explained in detail about all the deals they have with Telstra(with a paper and pen calculating all the scenarios relating to my current sim plan) took his time to make me clear so that I could take a decision. Great store for electronic accessories. One thing I love about it is we can find vinyl music CD's and band tshirts. Some staff are really amazing, helpful and welcoming 😀
