Came here for pre-booked High Tea on a mid week day. The water view and floral gardens surrounding the main building are stunning. The room itself was decorated in such a pretty way. First we got to choose what tea we want. It came out in a silver pot. It’s unlimited tea but we couldn’t drink more than one pot. The Earl Grey and English Breakfast were nice. Soon after a tower was delivered that had sandwiches down the bottom, pastries in the middle and mixed sweets at the top. Immediately after our scones were brought out. For two people the amount of food that is delivered is ridiculous really. Enough for 4 people! A couple (2 ppl) couldn’t possibly finish it all. The sandwiches and savouries were delicious and we enjoyed the scones. All the sweets on the top tier were pretty visually, but too sweet and creamy for us. Loved the selection of teas and the booklet explaining the teas and the items we were about to eat. Service was great and it was a lovely experience. BUT…. There’s room for improvement though. Our feedback is as follows: - Open the main doors if people are waiting outside for high tea. We drove far to get there and were busting to use the toilet. No facilities outside. We had to wait until 11:30am for staff to open the doors so we could use the toilet. - Offer a smaller high tea option for a lower price per person. Ie. Just tea, the bottom two tiers of savoury items and some scones. Or just tea and scones. Didn’t end up doing wine tasting here as felt a bit sick/full from all the sugary treats and sheet volume of food we were given.

We stayed at a wonderful cottage in the Riverdale Winery. Amazing view of lake and hill side. The night sky view is awesome. As a bonus, we immensely enjoyed wine tasting with owner, Ian, was best wine tasting experience during our trip even after our tour through Barossa region.

Riversdale Estate deserves more than 5 stars, food is incredible, service is excellent, views are out of this world, if you didn’t come you would be very disappointed. Do yourself a favour and come.

A lovely estate with a great selection of wines. A fantastic demonstration of typical Tassie cold climate wines done exceptionally well with a few surprises for the palette. Drew is a friendly and knowledgeable host if you’re after a tasting.

View was lovely and was greeted by hens and baby chicks, was very cute. Roosters woke us at 5 am till 6.30am and also a time during the night. Cottage was run down and old. Needed upgrading. Carpet stained in lots of spots. Some of the lights didn't work. No toilet door as it wouldn't close. Blind was ripped in one room. Stain on top blanket of big bed. Hair everywhere on the floor and shower. Wasn't vacuumed or floor washed. Fridge needed defrosting very icy and fridge dirty inside. Window winders were broken and struggle to open to get fresh air, as there was no screen on the door. Toaster didn't work properly. Very disappointed in quality of the place and cleanliness. We are locals and was going to go back with our 2yr old son and do the Peter rabbit garden but don't overly feel like it after that experience. Not a good look for a winery was expecting much better.

Today my family and I visited Riversdale. We came for a wine tasting and were greeted by a lovely lady in the cellar door room. She gave us a great experience, she was very informative, engaging and gave us the perfect amount of attention while also giving us some time alone to chat amongst ourselves. After our tasting and chatting with her she suggested another wine we would enjoy, we all got a taste of it and she was very right! We are very excited for our delivery of wines to arrive when we get home to QLD. My 2yr old son also loved the Peter rabbit garden! A great visit for everyone.

Ahhh..unfortunately I did not enjoy my birthday high tea @ Riversdale this year as it was all a little faded & sad compared to last year's opulence & deliciousness. The crockery was worn & my Daughter in laws cup dirty. When asked to replace the dirty cup the waiter on bringing a clean cup back just dumped it in the middle of the table far away from DIW without a comment. I'm sad as it was one of the first places I have, in the past, recommended to anyone ask8ng about High Teas.

I went to riversdale to see the Fawlty Towers show with lunch. The show was excellent but I was very disappointed with lunch. I'm not sure if it was meant to be in keeping with the show, but for the price, it was sadly lacking. Boiled chicken and veggies.

I had a lovely time at the Faulty Towers" dinning experience. I will be recommending people to go to the next one in July. Loved it."

Me & my partner went for a wine tasting and we absolutely loved it. We were served by Ian & Wendy who were very hospitable and exceeded our expectations. We had a great time and highly recommend this place for any occasion.

I could not recommend Riversdale enough! Not only is it picturesque and the epitome of luxury in the tassie wine region, the service was impeccable. Ian and Wendy (the owners) went to all efforts to make our time there magical and it was the ‘red bow’ on the final day of our trip in Tasmania. Already can’t wait to come back!!! A beautiful location for tastings. My partner and I were asked what wines we preferred and the tastings were then suited to each of us. Cassie went above and beyond with our experience, extremely friendly and we would definitely come back again to have another tasting with her.

When I visited this winery with my partner, I did not expect to receive such a great experience in this estate thanks to Emilija! The scenery that surrounds the winery is beautiful and eye capturing with wine to compliment the experience. The indoor area is filled with fancy furniture which is great for some funny but classy photos. I definitely recommend 👏

Wonderful high tea this afternoon at Riversdale Estate. The orangerie is beautifully decorated with expansive views of the vineyard. There was a lively range of teas - I chose rose-scented for something different, and the high tea itself was delightful, with finger sandwiches, scones, jam and cream, and a chocolate brownie, to name a few. Very good service, and the glass of sparkling rose was delicious too. I will definitely return!

Beautiful venue with equally appealing food that tastes just as good as it looks. The Earl Grey Supreme tea is delicious and pairs beautifully with the high tea. Service was amazing. One a side note to follow google maps follow the signage and trust your gut.

I visited Riversdale Estate for the High Tea experience. The service was perfect and the food was amazing. I had a glass of the sparkling Rosé with the high tea, which I did end up buying a bottle before leaving.

A beautiful local restaurant for large family gatherings, romantic dates or just pop in for a glass of wine. Will forever be a family favourite. The service was amazing and set in such a stunning part of Hobart, this is a must, when visiting Southern Tasmania.
