My wife and I had dinner here last night, i had the mex bowl with pork, not bad by pub standards. My wife had the rump,medium rare,with parmesan and rocket salad and twice roasted potatoes. The steak was just overcooked, and potatoes didn't seem roasted as more deep-fried with more skin than potato. Sides did not really match the menu description. Just average pub food and probably wouldn't go back.

I’m not a local to the area but weirdly found myself eating here twice in the last couple of weeks. Both times I’ve ordered a steak and I’m so impressed with the quality of the food! Steak was beautifully charred with a smoky barbecue taste and cooked to absolute perfection - melt in the mouth! The vegetables and salad were fresh and steamed to perfection too. Thanks for the quality ingredients, great value and love that the food is prepared with.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the bar at Miranda Pub/Carmen’s Miranda. While I understand the staff were busy, my friends and I were blatantly ignored for THIRTY minutes, despite standing patiently at the very side of the bar. Both the male and female bartenders continuously served others around us while skipping over us entirely. My friend politely brought this to the female bartender’s attention multiple times, but she simply said, “The other bartender is serving your side.” However, the male bartender continued to serve everyone but us. Even other patrons began noticing and asked if we had been waiting longer than them, which was embarrassing and frustrating. When I finally asked to speak to the manager, the female bartender responded by accusing me of “yelling” (I wasn’t) and, shockingly, told me to “change my face” if I wanted to be served. This comment was not only deeply unprofessional but also felt incredibly misogynistic and inappropriate. Only after I insisted on speaking to the manager did the male bartender finally serve us, as though it required escalating the situation to receive basic service. It’s incredibly disappointing that it came to that. This experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. While I appreciate the challenges of working in a busy environment, there is no excuse for such dismissive and demeaning behavior. I will not be returning and urge the management to address how their staff treat customers, especially in high-pressure situations.

Beautiful pub. Clean, modern design, nice open layout. I love that there is a dedicated space for pool tables, so rare these days. Very friendly staff. Nice outdoor space to watch the world go by. I'm glad I stopped in for a fresh, cold Pure Blonde on a summers day. I didn't try any food but the menu looked great. Prices are reasonable.

11 October 24 I love to sit outside and watch the world go by. I have been several times during my 2 months back home and enjoyed my visits back home. Miranda Hotel or Pub for as long as i can remember - 60 years at least lol. The exterior facing the Kingsway is remarkably unchanged. Except perhaps a couple of planters have been added to allow outdoor seating. Stepping inside, it is immediate for me to see the changes, not having not been to visit this pub for quite a number of years. I live overseas The bar was vibrant, has good vibes and a good customer base. I love to sit outside even though it's next to a six lane dual carriage way known as the Kingsway the atmosphere and the sunsets are awesome all the same. The margarita was par excellence but $19 a tad pricey, it hasn't stopped me from buying more than one though lol . The staff are fun and friendly, what more could one ask for? Cheers

Average service for food and drinks, somewhat pricey for the area staff a pretty nice.

Miranda Hotel is always a good option if you just want a casual night out with some food and drinks. Staff are friendly and I recommend their cheeseburger.

I think it's time to reno the bistro area guys. This pub isn't what is used to be, recent updates to the outdoor court are nice, but the main bistro is a dungeon lol.

I have been here many times over the years, great place, very friendly staff (Peter, Erin, Isabel, Jvana) and the rest of the team 👌 Great for all the sports and live music.

Great staff and amazing service

All but 1 of 6 meals were good pub food: couple of steaks, schnitty burger, pork fried rice and kids burger all lovely. The 1 that wasn't should have been the easiest to cook (kids cheese and tomato pizza - which looked frozen) which was overdone and tasted weird according to both our friend's kids. Got to give them credit though, when we told the server at the end she gave us a refund no problem without even being asked. Pretty good lunch spot.

Wow,, how good is the food here! Did not expect such exquisite meals at a pub! The squid ink pasta was amazing, the steak was perfect & even the mash was divine! Customer service was excellent - special cheers to Adam in the bistro & Brendan who recommended a fab Prosecco!

If I could give less than 1 star then I would. The staff are absolutely horrible. The manager is the rudest person of all time and the security are somehow worse. I couldn’t recommend a place less if I tried. The whole venue was slippery and the security were the worst I’ve seen out of every club. Wouldn’t go again if a gun was pointed to my mother’s head. DO NOT go to this HOLE

Had lunch here and all 4 of our meals were great. I had snitzel, sweet potato fries and salad and was impressed. Meals arrived quickly but to be fair it was pretty quiet. Would happily dine here again.

Shocking pub all drinks in plastic cups

Way too noisy. Getting to the stage where you can not go there on weekend evenings. The hotel should separate the restaurant from the bar over by those wishing to attend the new version of the old Carmen's. Sadly becoming a place to avoid on weekends after 6pm. Just visited again. High tables have been removed, except one for smokers, from the front out door area. Understand people may wish to eat out there, some still enjoy sitting up high and watching the world go past without the smoke! No atmosphere at all.

Myself, two female friends and my boyfriend came to this establishment last night for the presets concert which we each paid $66 for. During the concert, another patron was being very aggressive to my group, completely unprovoked this man harassed one of the girls in our group. To shelter us, my boyfriend stood behind us, not interacting with said man and due to this he ended up getting punched in the back of the head. He did not retaliate or react at all. Instead of removing the person who instigated the attack they kicked my boyfriend out as well for simply standing there and being abused while refusing to listen to the story. I am appalled by the lack of empathy, training and professionalism from the manager on site that day and the security guards. I think we are owed a refund for our tickets and an apology from the establishment. My boyfriend was not offered any compensation nor care for injuries and we were told to leave and walk down the street to not aggravate the man further as though we were a problem. We were also told that if we didn’t leave the area in front of the hotel we would get the police called on us?? I’m quite literally a 4’11 woman and if your security guards are unable to handle an upset patron who is poses no threats they are definitely in the wrong profession. This is the worst venue in Sydney I have ever visited.

It's the melding of the service and the food that makes this place I ordered a Portuguese burger, which cost $22(?), it came with a very generous serve of chips Normally when you order a burger at places, the buns are slightly dry, not with my burger, the bun, the sauce, the large grilled chicken that was cooked great all tied together to make one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. I normally order a steak when out, but this time, I tried something else. I'm so glad I did, I'm thinking when I go again, I might order the same! One other person ordered the parmigiana burger and they too were really really impressed. Whoever the chef is, they are a keeper!! The friendliness at the bar was great, interacting with different people which spilled over to the patrons interacting with each other, had a great chat with someone in a 3 way conversation involving the bar staff as well. This just makes for a great environment in general Will be going again for sure

Honestly will never come here again. Came to celebrate my son's birthday. My son had 4 BEERS with dinner. The manager on the door conducted an rsa assessment on him which is completely understandable. But the way he conducted the assessment was beyond aggressive as he was on an extreme power trip. He definitely does not possess an ounce of customer service skills. Would give 0/5.

In town for the Smith Street band. Had a feed whilst we worked up some excitement. My date hated every minute of it but did it for me. Ten points.

First time I been here in years. Went to go to Drive through Bottleshop and discovered its no longer there 😵

The food was really nice, however they lack catering for vegans. There are zero options for vegans so it wasn’t very catering for all the members that attended dinner.

Weird dress code here didn't get let in because I was wearing a NRL Melbourne Storm shirt, when asked what kind of dumb rule that is one security guard talking to me turned to 3, I just walked off to avoid causing a confrontation, won't be coming back ever.

More focused towards the punters of the shire, I.e TAB and VIP room. Great family space for bistro feed and nightclub goes nuts on Fri/Sat nights. Worth a visit if wanting to avoid city or Cronulla

This place is so good! My husband and some of our family randomly stopped by to eat after doing some shopping next door. The facility is so clean and the staff are very nice. That’s not even the best part… the food was so good! Not one complaint and I had 2 adult picky eaters with me. Portions were massive! 10/10 would come back again and I live an hour away.

The Chinese Bbq Pork blew me away. I asked for the chef's suggestion for what to eat off the menu and I don't think I could have gotten anything better. The presentation itself was amazing let alone the taste!

After the renovations, much looks nicer.. Food wise I tried first time.. steak over cooked as I order medium.. and quiet busy time I went there and only one waiter was on shift, unfortunately my food wasn't hot.. I could take it from the counter but I waited 😅

Came here on the weekend for some lunch, the food was actually really good, however, the chef needs to take a chill pill and treat the waitress a little nicer. Clapping at her numerous times and pursing your lips together making kiss noises to get her attention to collect the food is so unprofessional, I don't know if the waitress was okay with that but I found it really disrespectful. Maybe invest in a server bell? Problem solved.
