The buffet is pretty good

Cosy place for lunch or dinner.Disappointed with the Sunday seafood special but only to find one or two extra seafood dish apart from the usual everyday seafood.All in all its good with good variety of dishes.Staff is awesome.

It's not worth it. Gets too packed and the food runs out and you'd have to wait a while. With a similar price, you may as well go to Bankstown star buffet down the road.

I just had a terrible experience at buffet restaurant. One of staff is literally yelling at me in front of other waiting customers at check out area. I feel so shame for their manner and attitude. It is awful experience and will not come back again.

Overall good, get there early better Friday night because Saturday is too busy

Staff are amazing. Went there for a job interview, didn't get it but would highly recommend this place to all patrons. Staff are happy and welcome everyone with a smile!

I have been twice and won’t be back again.The guy at the front is weird and standoffish.No one could get in the entrance as he kept locking it.Took ages just to sign in and he searched my bag! Never had that before in this country.

The widest selection of buffet foods, so far, amongst the dozen or so RSL in house restaurant I’ve visited. Really enjoyed the experience.

Ashfield Buffet 88 the food is valued for money, the service is good, don't have to worry about not having a place to sit, just that you need to queue if you are not early.

It’s a good venue cause it’s close to home but needs to be updated with better amenities

Although I had a good experience and food at Buffet 88 was excellent, there was a lady with a walker in the queue to enter and no one assisted her until I asked other people to let her enter before us. Yes, I know they were busy Xmas Day but a little more care would've made her queuing easker

I visited Buffet 88 at Ashfield RSL Club tonight, and it was a very disappointing experience. The food was mediocre at best, but what really ruined it was the rude and unprofessional behavior of one of the staff members, who I believe was the supervisor. When I mentioned that the first batch of watermelon was sour and inedible, the staff member, who was speaking Cantonese, showed clear annoyance and accused us of wasting food. We politely explained that it was too sour to eat and that we had only taken what we could finish, yet she continued to treat us with disdain, even complaining about us to other staff members in front of us. To make matters worse, the staff member threw the leftover watermelon into the bin in front of us with a dismissive attitude. As customers, we were treated with disrespect, which was completely unacceptable. We always make sure not to waste food, and it was upsetting to be accused of doing so, especially without any empathy or understanding. This is not the kind of service I would expect from a business, and I will not be returning. I hope the management takes this complaint seriously and addresses the poor customer service, as it really impacts the overall experience. I would not recommend this buffet to anyone based on the service I received.

I will regularly spend $25 - $35 for dinner so when the buffet costs $29, makes sense to eat here. Food choices are decent as are the quality.

A decent buffet in these trying times for the price, selection is wide enough that everyone will be covered

It’s our first time at Ashfield RSL, so it’s okay. More on Asian cuisines. We celebrated our friend’s birthday.

Chaos, very, very average food, cheap.. Bar for drinks is superate. Heaps of parking.. Mainly Asian cuisine, could do with a good clean..

Lots of hullabaloo but it was merely OK. No parking. Had to wait for someone to leave to get in. Had to wait for table. Food was fine but there was nothing you would go back for. Very basic, somewhat limited buffet. Cleanliness of food stations was not great. Bathrooms were gross. Plates, cups, barely clean. Over 20 bucks per person. Would not go back.

Great club / pub with really good drink and food prices. The size of the meals are huge and great value for money. It would be nice if customers were a bit more respectful to the guys on the door, people always trying to push in and jump the queue and then complain when they are told to wait. Manners cost nothing, wait for others.

The attitude of the Ashfield RSL was deplorable they need how to deal with humans not sheep's and more that anyone is Mr Helo he came down from the hills on he's country to Australia to deal with people a big difference. Edward

Buffet- my favourite is The special fried rice and slow cooked lamb. The rest are mostly passable

This place is great if you want to stuff your belly with edible things then buffet 88 is the where to go. Some items are straight up inedible though, however it does its job, good variety of choices including Chinese, pasta, seafood, meat etc. If you're hungry, on a budget but don't care too much about taste, you will love it

Great selection of a buffet, nice atmosphere and the food kept being topped up continuously with the amount of diners around the food counters . Excellent value for money

We had the dinner buffet at the bistro inside the club. Very busy. The food is varietal catering to most dietary requirements. I didn’t see gluten free options but I probably missed any signage. Very affordable at a price range (for dinner) from around $23-$28 (the latter for non members). Delicious, fresh and topped up to keep up with demand. Best time to go is from opening to 6pm before the busy time pickup thereafter. Clean, tidy and great food and service. ❤️
