As always great, friendly service and perfect location! We have stayed at Island Beach Resort twice now and been able to check in early both times, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect. 5 minutes walk to the beach, 5 minutes the other way to Pacific Fair. There were a few minor things not working in our room but if they’d bothered us we would’ve said something, nothing that made our stay uncomfortable or any less pleasant. The rooms are neat and tidy and very accommodating. We will always choose to return to Island Beach Resort when we visit the Gold Coast.

Really enjoyed our stay at Island Beach Resort. Apartment had everything we needed, was clean & ample supplies for our 3 night stay. We arrived late & as per check in instructions and easy process. Staff on reception were lovely & very helpful. Very short walk to the beach, shops & cafes/restaurants & PAC Fair. Great the bedroom is located at the back of the apartment. Very quiet. Some construction noise but at a reasonable time. Bed was very comfortable & good selection of pillows. Would highly recommend staying here & it's definitely on our must stays when visiting Broadbeach

Amazing stay at this hotel! The one-bedroom serviced apartment was well-appointed, with everything needed to make things easier for a wonderful stay. It featured a lounge room with kitchen and TV area, a bathroom and a bedroom. The location of this hotel is central to everything, it's close to the beach and all the nice eateries near Oasis shopping center. The heated pool and spa are very inviting and well-maintained. The hotel also has a nice BBQ area. The ladies in Reception are very friendly, professional and helpful. I highly recommend this accommodation and looking forward to visiting again soon!

Older style but fabulous location between main shopping centre and broadbeach.

Brilliant location and swimming pool is good, although it's out the front and not very private. Rooms are ok everything you need just a little dated now. Bit if there to enjoy what's on offer on the coast it's a great location with everything at your door step and therefore you don't spen much time in the rooms. Friendly staff

Our second time staying in this resort. Excellent location and had everything we needed and a great place for groups with the pool, spa and BBQ area with easy access. Thank you to Lynda, Chris and Jessica for making our stay amazing! Will see you again in 2 years time :-)

It was very easy booking a room. I had to change my length of stay and Lynda took care of this very easily especially since I booked directly with them. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Everyone was always very friendly and helpful. It's a great location close to all the shops, restaurants and the beautiful beach. Fabulous all round.

Very comfortable not luxurious but neat. Grounds well kept. Bed a little too firm for me. Desperately needs new pillows. Kitchen layout and supplies excellent. Bathroom and laundry good.

Very clean and tidy would stay again

This Hotel's wifi is the most horrific free wifi" i've ever experienced. I was planning to do a fair bit of work whilst staying here but there seems to be better free wifi everywhere in the gold coast but this exact spot. I've had to go down to the beach and cafe's to be able to use wifi and now i'm sat here using the extremely little wifi i have to write this review because I can't do anything on my laptop and even if this may not upload due to it's lack of connection I will still sit here trying out of absolute spite! The washer and dryer are also in the second bedroom so that person will have no privacy if you plan on washing and drying your clothes. Finally most hotels have complementary washing liquid but this hotel makes you pay. shops are also a fair walk away. There seems to be only one fork as well."

We found our unit to be well located and comfortable and suited our needs. The secure car park was appreciated. Island Beach Resort is within good walking distance of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets, the light rail and buses and Pacific Fair. The units are not for accommodating children.

had to cut my days short, most annoying was the smelly toilet, had to swap hotels mid-holiday, i don't recommend - this place needs a fundamental refurbishment.

My 3 mates and I stayed a few days for a singing festival held at the Star. The Island Beach Resort is in a terrific location at Broadbeach - close to lots of shops, amenities, and public transport. The apartment was great.

Leiligheten var helt grei. Utfordrende å sove på natta på grunn av meget trafikkert vei rett utenfor. Internettet fungerte elendig. Det var helt umulig å bruke. Vi ga beskjed og utleier lovte å ta tak i dette. Ingenting skjedde.

Biggest concern for me was no lift from underground carpark to 2nd level room. I have difficulty issues with stairs. Wife had to carry up our bags. Bed was comfy , good location. Quiet street.

Great service nice friendly management will definitely go back

When we first checked in and I was going for a shower to freshen up I walked in to the bathroom to find hair on the drain. Unclean cups were in the draws so I took it upon myself to wash all dishes. The reception lady was kind and welcoming and so was the man working there to some extent. My son liked using the spa and pool and he felt like he was constantly being watched and it made him uncomfortable. Overall I expected much better.

Having stayed here before, there are some noticeable differences. The rooms are definitely dated. While we had a 2 bedroom unit, the bathrooms were showing signs of age. The shower pressure was rather low, and temperature was inconsistent. The kitchen was very new and stylish!||We were told that the TVs had Netflix available which would have been ideal when the wife and I were heading to Dracula's that night. But because the TVs were an off-brand, the company that made them no longer supported any apps. ||The wifi was hopeless and very slow. Being an IT engineer, scanner the AP channels, all channels were overlapping each other. I'd say that there was a maximum client limit or rate limiting.||The units are secure, the pools are good and you are close to many places.

Room was a little rough around the edges, but for the price you can't complain at all. Will be back again hopefully soon.

I had a great stay. I would definitely stay again. It was a really good location with a 5min walk to Pacific Fair, the beach and a 10min walk to Surf Parade where there is a fabulous selection of restaurants and bars, plus Oasis shopping centre. The staff are great, and so helpful when I rang to book and with anything I needed. Maybe next time I'd try another room next time. I was in No. 16 and it was certainly comfortable, however the owners could do a few little things to make the guest's stay a little more enjoyable. There is a split system in the main lounge, however none in the bedroom and no ceiling fans. So if you stayed in summer you would need to relay on the main system to cool the bedroom. Don't hesitate to try Island Beach Resort.

We have stayed here several times. We have always found the apartments clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The location is ideal being away from the hustle and bustle but close enough that a short stroll and you are amongst it all. Should you stay you will find your hosts very helpful and friendly. I fully recommend this as a great place to stay on holiday.

Highly recommend this accommodation! The rooms were spotless, equipped with everything you need from kitchen utensils to towels and a washer/dryer. The TV with Netflix was a great addition. Internet connection was flawless. The staff provided exceptional customer service and hospitality. It's a peaceful environment with no noise disturbances. Plus, the location is fantastic, just a short walk to Pacific Fair shopping mall. A perfect stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Island Beach Resort, with easy access to everything! My dad and I truly enjoyed our time there. Lynda and the team went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay special. We can't wait to come back again!

Everything was fantastic! Beds were comfortable. Rooms were spacious, clean, well equipped and modern. Underground carpark always had ample amount of parking Pool and spa were clean and great for swimming. Location was spot on - out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to it. Staff were very friendly and welcoming We stayed an extra night & will definitely stay again!

Great location close to beach, trams and bus. Quiet. Pool is old style and small. Rooms are large and well laid out. All a bit tired. Would still recommend it as a stay or base using trams to tour. Value wise it's excellent.

It's ok, clean but old.|, bed was ok, and the pillows were like pancakes.|The shower needs replacing and no room when you use the toilet. ||Free tea, coffee & milk, pool for a swim, parking, close to shops/cafe's & the beach.||The man who checked us in needs a tidy up & some shoes along with a professional attitude !|I wouldn't stay here again unless I was desperate.

Fabulous position for walking along the beach and to handy, Oasis shopping centre. Rooms cosy, homely. Pacific Fair and public transport close by. A perfect choice for my one week stay.

Very happy with our two night stay. BBQ out the front is very handy. Pool and spa are lovely. Comfy beds, good facilities. Stairs are a slight challenge but all good and we needed a bit of cardio! Easy walk to great dining and beach. Highly recommended.

Was such a great place , had such a great time , all staff are friendly and help with any problems that there was , all rooms were clean and tidy. |Was an absolute 10/10 for me would recommend to anyone !!!!!

On arrival to my room I noticed a really bad odour like the smell of a backed up toilet and it was so overpowering. it was unbearable and I checked out the rest of the room to see lots of dirt and dust and a shower that I would not want to stand in. I contacted reception and asked for a refund advising it was unhygienic. The manager then came to my room, demanded the key and told me to leave. He refused to speak with my sister when she arrived to collect me and said I was trying emotional blackmail because I was in tears. he had berated and yelled at me the whole time. I stayed elsewhere and have been trying to get a refund since. In all of my interactions this man Greg is a bully and very aggressive and I am glad I didn't stay anywhere near him. I recorded a phone conversation where he yelled and said I was mentally unstable and had something wrong with me. I would not have been safe anywhere near him and he clearly thinks it is okay to berate and yell. If you are a solo woman traveller -never stay here as the owner/manager Greg is not a safe person to stay near. It was about the hygiene when I asked for my refund but his horrible behaviour since shows me why my senses might have been more alert to the smell in the first place, telling me to get out for my safety.

All the staff were so friendly and sorted us out with all we needed. Any issues we had were sorted straight away. The facilities were above expectations and were kept clean with new sheets every single day

So many good things to say about this place however equally as many bad unfortunately. Central location. Walking distance to restaurants and beach. Basement parking and room access simple. Bed very hard, Large however was just 2 singles pushed therefore a ridge down the middle and quite short. Asked receptionist for a topper and she said they didn’t have one however within half an hour they delivered a brand new one so fabulous service there. Apartment is old. Ventilation terrible so windows dripping each morning and just dampness in the air. My clothes were damp even though hanging in the robe. AC didn’t work very well on warm and as it was rainy and cold we needed the heating. AC needs to be cleaned as dirty and dropping on the tv cabinet. Overall handy for us given we were out most days at a sporting event but likely wouldn’t stay again.

The place is very outdated. |The receptionist was very helpful and assisted with our requirements.|The Location is close to everything Broadbeach has to offer, shops, beach, the restaurants and even the Casino. |It can get noisy as the state school is across the road.|Clean and tidy.

Highly recommend staying here. Very clean rooms with private balconies on either side of the apartment. Cant complain at all. Property management husband & wife are very hospitable people who will go out of their way to accommodate their guests. And their after hours booking & checking in process was made so much easier via email stating to pick up your keys in a safe with a provided security code on the premises as well. Will most definitely stay there again. Thank you to Island beach resort & their staff.

Highly recommend Island Beach Resort. Apartment was very clean and modern. Appliances including full size fridge,washing machine and dryer. Facilities great, secure car park, outdoor area clean and neat with bbq area supplied with basic oils and sauces for cooking. Easy access to beach, restaurants and public transport. Short walk to both Pacific Fair and The Star. Stayed in a ground floor room, which lead out to the spa and pool, with both utilised. Greg was lovely and apologetic about the building noise behind. This noise was not an issue just usual noise you would hear in any city. Will stay again

Family of mine stayed here, coming all the way from NZ for the first time to Australia. They booked online and the photos were amazing, showing a one bedroom apartment with a beach view or pool view. The apartments looked bright and immaculate on the photos shown online. When we checked in and entered the apartment, they were shocked to see a dark room that was dirty and a view of a brick wall. Seems like an upmarket backpackers, not a resort. After two nights, our family approached the managers to express their concerns and requested a reimbursement or an upgrade to ensure they feel more comfortable over their stay for 10 nights. The managers had no time and understanding towards them and advised there is nothing they can do. Our family then handed the keys back and lost 8 nights of a stay they had pre-payed for. BE AWARE of this before booking.

Pros: Perfect location. Clean and well managed. Reasonably priced. Nice spa and pool.||||Cons: There's no escaping the fact that it's noisy. Not only that but the drilling from the nearby construction site causes the building to vibrate. Our room was a bit dated but others may not be as apartments like these are often individually owned.

Nice big rooms, unfortunately my view was of the construction site behind and it was noisy during the day. The pool and shared areas are quite small. Very clean nice rooms with everything needed for a decent stay. Staff are friendly enough. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Great position, close to shopping, beach, transport. Units adaquate but lacking in ambience, dark interiors, minimal kitchen and aged implements or comforts. If you’re staying to enjoy the surrounding community areas of the GC and just need a bed and good bathroom then fine but it’s not a resort where you can sit around unit or pool, which is small shaded and confined.

Will not come back here! The unit we were in was really really old and in need of serious renovation! The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep on in my life ...Nice receiption lady is the only positive think I can think of. Oh and rust on ALL the appliances. The picture is you in the bed!!

Do not stay here, worst customer service ever. I was offered a refund(see pictures) if our room could be re-sold due to the Covid Border closures. They re-sold the room and kept my full amount - Profiting from the global pandemic. Disgraceful. Spend your money elsewhere.

No lifts - would of stayed elsewhere. Had 2 small kids and had a few items to carry up n dowm stairs. Other wise location is good.

They charged me $100 extra money for cleaning a small cooking pot. And there was no lifts. No vacuum cleaner. No clean bedsheets were given us, we used the same bedsheets for 4 nights. No free internet.

The apartment was well equipped, neat, tidy and spacious. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
