Located at 1 Pitt Street, Mortdale, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. A wonderful little local pub that’s had a recent refurbishment after an unfortunate incident with a bus 🚌! Very popular with the locals. The refurbishment has made it a really welcoming and enjoyable place. The bistro has a great selection of delicious 😋 food at very reasonable prices. There’s also 18 refurbished rooms to stay in. Every Friday from 4.00pm there’s raffles followed by the Putt for Dough from 6.00pm. Every Wednesday from 7.00pm, there’s the Trivia Night. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5.30pm theres Jackpot Draws. So there’s always something going on! It’s very easy to get to by public transportation as the train station is just 50m away and so is the bus stop. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit! Thumbs Up!!! 😊😋👍

First time in Sydney. Stayed here for 5 days on holiday Accomodation was great, beds made and fresh towels every morning, Staff were lovely Great location next to the train station Even made friends with the locals who were all lovely people, made us feel like we were apart of their community in such a short amount of time. Thanks for The Memories Morty! You’ll always have a special place in our hearts.

Great value for money

Comfortable room in a nice location, but there was noise coming from the bar below.

I had a very disappointing experience at this establishment its my favourite pub before i know the every staff they are very good but due to the behavior of the new security guard i think he is the head , which came across as extremely unprofessional and even racist. We offered a chair to an older individual, a local Australian, to make them more comfortable, and when my friend helped with the chair, the security guard started arguing with us for no valid reason. It felt like we were being unfairly targeted because we aren’t locals. His behavior was aggressive, and he eventually kicked us out of the pub without justification. Such discriminatory and disrespectful treatment is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I hope the management addresses these issues by training their staff on proper customer interaction and eliminating any form of racism.

I often ask the question, what makes a perfect drinking sesh? And the answer is almost always the company, but you know what can make it even better?! A good, solid Australian pub, and Mortdale Pub is quite possibly the greatest watering hole this side of the Georges River. If you want fancy cocktails and 18 dollar schooners go up north, if you want a solid drink selection and nice, friendly, personable staff, then come to Mortdale Pub. Never tried the food but I have had a cheeky ponder at the menu and it did, in fact, make the old tummy rumble. If you’re ever in the area, come in and wet the whistle, you won’t regret it. #ILoveMortyPub

What can you say about a pub stay , well the room was fantastic, large and comfy king beds , Aircon and large bathroom... Right near train for transport and lots of food choices up the road , pub food was excellent also

Stayed at The Mortdale Hotel for a 3 night stay and it was awesome. The room was a great size, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The tv has plenty of entertainment channels and options. The staff are extremely accommodating and helpful and quick with service. Location is ideal, close to the train station, cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again.

Mortdale Hotel has really great pub grub with daily specials and a reasonably priced menu. We have tried the steak, mash n veg, and the Sunday pork roast. Both were really good, fresh and tasty, good-sized portions, and at $18 a pop ya definitely can't complain. Highly recommend Morty Pub for awesome pub grub.

I have been here many times and it has been completely fine, i went there last night and i was getting some money from the atm, security was watching me and came upto me and said i have had to much to drink when i told him i had only had one drink he looked at me funny even though i was completely sober. I understand they have to do their job and make sure no one is intoxicated but i was not whatsoever. I have enjoyed this being my local and have got to know a few of the bar staff but this security i have not seen there before and i find it disgraceful i was completely sober and was refused entry ! I would be looking into some new security that know how to do their job properly.

Spent three nights in this fantastic hotel. The room and bathroom were both quite spacious and were super clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed. Great location near the train station and an excellent array of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. A very enjoyable stay. 😊

Fabulous location 20 minutes from the city by train freshly renovated rooms excellent value and no noise from the pub Downstairs that is a 24/7 operation..a gem to stay at..

Great place, just been renovated so the rooms are great to stay in. Train and bus station on the doorstep so no need for a car. Cyclists friendly and lots of cafe and food options.

Friendly staffs/ Easy Transportations including car park/ Spacious clean rooms/ Reasonable Price. Little noise when trains pass but did not bother me at all i was too tired doing tour.

Fantastic cheap meals and happy hour beverages served by really friendly staff... stayed in the accommodation above the pub which has been refurbished and is of outstanding quality. Senior management were more than accommodating.... highly recommend 👌

Still a good pub get there every time I come back to Sydney

Had the Monday night steak. Both my wife and I loved it. Very well priced kids menu and my young daughter loved the bangers and mash.

I hate Google that they don’t have a zero star review so I just giving them a 1* one of them worst experiences ever I came from creek I don’t want want anyone to go there . Food is 0* Drink 0* Service 0* Security meat rider

Just had the Monday Night Special - Steak and chips (mushroom sauce) with also the Garlic Turkish bread. Total $26!!! Absolutely Fantastic!

Never Win ever

I was out looking for a boy day out I called in and had 2 quick schooners off toooheys old it was very enjoyable and will call again 🍻

Pretty rough and miserable place. Perpetually has drunks hanging around outside yelling at passers by. The new LED billboard they installed outside blazes like the sun in the nighttime, pretty trashy. I think it's bad for the reputation of mortdale. Penshurst hotel has a much better bistro too

The manager was rude, poor customer service abilities, beer tasted metallic and she just gave us an attitude without even assessing the situation.

Guinness beer doesn’t taste like Guinness. Customer service at the bar is so poor. The manager will never reed the situation before giving your money back together with a bad time.

Need new staff the one's that work there now are rude . The owner needs to get rid of the staff and get a ppl that are helpful and rude.

Fall off the train close, this pub has a great atmosphere, a very wide mix of people and a happy vibe that kept our night going strong. One staff member picked up on a person in our group as being drunk, and kept asking if we were buying drinks for him when we came to the bar. They believed he should be cut off. He was tipsy at best, and was simply distracted by a bet he was watching on his phone, however the close observation and concern for our safety was appreciated and after explaining, all went back to normal. This is the first pub I have seen do this, and I greatly appreciate it. Some renovations are underway and I expect the update will be interesting (don't want to give away too much), hopefully this will peak your interest enough to take a look? All the staff, were friendly, happy, communicating well and have made me want to return I will update if I learn about accommodation

Very strange! Not even a bit drunk and they don't serve drinks. Just seeing faces and being racist or what? I do have my RSA as well and I know what reponsible drinking means! Owner can please check the camera and explain me why I'm not allowed to drink. I went to talk with manager as well but he doesn't even wants to listen what customers says. According to RSA, if I'm even drunk, I should be asked if I want to drink water. Very strange place!!!! Manager don't have his RSA RCG I guess. I'm playing slot machine and enjoying but the manager on 27/04/2022 - very strange and not allowing drinks.
