Expensive for hot food, charging $18 for a takeaway container of cauliflower bake. Stale sandwiches in the counter. Generally unenthusiastic service. For a cafe in a hospital environment, feel like there's very little care.

Nope. Predatory business model that relies on location, patients that are locked into wards and desperate family / friends / visitors who have no other options. I'd gladly give this food court a 5 star rating if the food was actually good. But it ain't. Mediocre in all aspects. (Also, the card surcharges are exorbitant, it shows exactly how willing management are willing to bleed vulnerable people dry). The only way for Zouki to have a good reputation is to start serving good food and take pride in helping the community, rather than taking it hostage. Imagine visiting critically ill members of your family, paying for parking, then getting ripped off by a terrible suite of takeaway places.. they're just compounding the trauma of major illnesses. Do better.

As I type this, this is perhaps my 20th time sitting here in the toilet from Diarrhoea, almost 1AM... I bought a turkey cranberry sandwich, asked for it fresh (as in not toasted) but they toasted it anyway handed it to me and walked away ignoring me. It was a bloody hot day, not all sandwiches need to be toast! Considering that the sandwich was the only thing I had for food in the afternoon. And I was fasting in the morning due to medical tests. I am pin pointing it to that sandwich, which was pretty tasty Might add 😋..

This is pretty disappointing to have such a poor quality cafe in a hospital. The staff are almost all without emotion and the food is overpriced and not good quality. It’s unfortunately also one of the only options for a quick meal. They also add a “handling fee” which just seems to add about $1 no matter what you’re getting. All the food comes pre-made and the handling is just passing food to the customer. The coffee is good, which is the only thing I can say that’s positive.

Ordered Cappuccino, worst taste, very bad quality coffee every had.

I came to the food court and bought some noodles and fried rice. The noodles, dry and tasteless with some cabbage. The rice was dry and hardly anything to go with. For a hospital food court, it was disappointing. The noodles was so oily it came through the packaging while I took it to the table. The rice dish I threw into the bin. Had a conversation about the quality of food service at the Zouki outlet with a bystander. He told me it was hopeless. Having seen the reviews, there are lots of negativity. How a hospital which prides itself as being one of the best in NSW, could operate a rubbish food outlet within.

The noodles was floating with oil. The fried rice was half cooked. Hardly any ingredients. Totally inedible. Threw it in the bin.

Coffee so expensive extra when you pay with card.

Asked for hot or warm water and was told to go get it from a fountain as she mentioned it was room temperature (it's chilled). Pretty rude. Location at Westmead Children's Hospital.

Price gouging, taking advantage of sick people

I went in and asked for 3 scoops for $10.50 and usually they give normal good scoops. This time she gave me barely 2 scoops worth in 3 scoops money… her customer service was rude it was an asian young girl and she did not cooperate at all. I have eaten before here too and the scoops are normal sized what I received today was just 2 spoons worth scoops. She gave me 3 scoops in this cup. Just 3 flavours in 2 scoops quantity and the funny bit is ITS JUST THIS LADY who was working right now. Otherwise everyone else is amazing!

$6 for a Gatorade is daylight robbery

I have been coming and getting coffee and raisin toast for a long time ,and they never give me a knife to butter my toast or cook it properly not sure why!!!!!

I've been a patient for 3 days now... I decided to eat something other than hospital food... so I went downstairs to Zooki... thought I'd play it safe and get a vegetarian fried rice, u cant really screw up fried rice... cost about $13.. walked back upstairs to my bed, sat dwn took 3 spoonfuls and threw it in the bin... thank God my wife packet me some cup Noodles.... what a disgrace to call that food at those prices...

Convenient, but surcharge on weekends not transparent at all! Notice says 10% surcharge weekends and 1% card fee on top of that. I got charged 19% surcharge overall. Which is a LOT! Staff couldn't explain where the number came from.

One of the middle eastern looking girls serving me had the biggest attitude I almost stopped buying food

Look, it's late into your shift and you are craving some wedges, yes okay. Go have zouki. But if you have more than 5 minutes to spare, go for a walk outside the hospital and choose from some of the many much more delicious options. West end do end of day specials for $7.. after 7pm so depends how desperate you are.

Yummy food, with a deep understanding of good hospitality and friendly service. Everytime I order catering from Zouki, they are always prompt, attentive and the food is always delish!

I come here during work and they do amazing coffee and food. The prices are considerably good for food and the coffee is perfect. The staff are kind and helpful and genuine people to talk to. Very happy when I come here.

This place has the worst food and service. All pre-made. All expensive. Customer service is non existent

I don't like to leave sad reviews, but, hmmm, the coffee was burnt. We bought some croissants from across the way that were nice, but yeah, the coffee we bought here wasn't much chop. Fortunately, we have no reason to come back for 12 months - won't be missed...

Had a chicken lettuce and mayo white bread sandwich what a joke $9:50. This is highway robbery how can Zouki get away with this. Disgusting and tasteless.

Not fresh food

So expensive and not very nice.. The staff could at least smile and be nice why they rip you off, after all it is a hospital and people are suffering already.. Another bloody price gouging establishment. Shame on you Zouki.🤨☹️😤

Needs cleaning everywhere

The GREEN SHOP ORGANIC good prices. Healthy. Good to find when at the hospital waiting a long time to be seen by specialist. This shop is owned by the same owner as a few other cafes near the entrance to the hospital , near the pharmacy and florist. When I was a student here 40 years ago, Westmead hospital building was a wide empty shell.

Bought large veggie pesto pasta for approx $17. Taste was good and very cheesy. I also got veggie zaatar wrap yesterday and it was good too. Will happily buy from them as long as they maintain the rate and quality

2023: ⭐️ Absolute junk offerings. Food looks terrible, old and dry. It's still too expensive. $4 for a bottle of water at a hospital, talk about greedy. I got the enchilada or fajita wrap and it was disgusting. I had two bites and it went in the bin. Fresh sandwich and wraps not available after 2:30pm from main cafe. I don't know how Zouki have the monopoly of the market with these hospital cafes but I bet the owner is friggen rich now. You're better off ordering ubereats or doordash. 2021: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good food. I dont know how they did it, but they discovered a way to take flavour out of food and charge loads of money for it, i have never had worse food in my life, everything tastes bland like, but the prices can go up to 20 dollars for the most bland take on classic food, honesty i wonder how they do it, but it does make me sad to think how a family's last meal together could possibly be brought from here since the food looks ok, but the shear disappointment will make the loss of a loved one hurt that extra bit more since the food has that little flavour, to discribe the food I would have to imagine they took a syringe and sucked the flavour out to be kept for themselves and we have to pay 18 dollars for roast beef and gravy that has texture but no flavour, i mean it tastes like nothing absolutely nothing, i once got a curry that didn't taste like anything as well, its a miracle, next time you are at the hospital stay away, i think i saw a subway somewhere close, you much rather go there, if not just starve its much better than paying a heafty price for the world's most flavourless food

ALERT ⚠️ terrible service and the food was just so blan no flavour and bar flies in the salad . I think they should hire real chefs the Manager Guisippie said he is a chef but couldnt cook the basics clearly, saying the food was great but I wouldn't feed it to my dog. He argued that the food we ordered was good but it had fruit flies in it and he was caught picking them out as we spoke. He was the most rude and arrigant person and shouldn't be in customer service.

Nice food, very busy

I had ordered n tried the mixed berry yogurt cup. It’s not cheap and it’s pretty disappointing as the blueberries are tasteless, almost eating the corpse of blueberries. I told this to the staff n they ignore me not to mention an apology!

While their food is good quality, workers should be more mindful on serving halal food which is located right near pork products. I purchased a hot meal without realising the platter next to it had pork in it. My food had a strong smokey smell and went straight in the rubbish. I went back to check the ingredients when I noticed the platter next to it was roast pork. Very disappointing considering you guys pride yourselves on halal food. Please be considerate of others food choices. Vegetarian options should be kept seperate as should halal food.

Sandwiches were 3 to 4 days old, and when I told the guy behind the counter what I have he charged me wrong. AND When I told him, he looked at me in disbelief. Not only that, they charged $2.80 handling fee... handling what? I got my own water and my own 4-day old sandwich! What did you handle that cost $2.80? Hospitals are now more expensive than the airport.

Overpriced for the quality of the food/coffee. The lady at the counter charged me $27 for a coffee, croissant and a sandwich. I calculated the prices of the items and the total bill should have been $21.5. When I asked why was I charged $27, she said its due to card charges. I asked for a receipt and found out I WAS CHARGED TWICE for the coffee. I get it might have been an honest mistake, but no apologies or sorry, just showing attitude for no reason.

When I visit a patient at Westmead Hospital I always have either Breakfast or a freshly made sandwich I find the staff and food presentation excellent in all ways

The staff are friendly, the chicken panini is yummy. The Cafe has some really dinky items in. Highly recommend going to this Cafe.
