Hand drier is pretty pathetic but the place is pretty solid

A new Kids menu is now available, children are welcome in the dining area. A very good range of well priced meals. A big variety of beers on tap including Reschs . Wheelchair accessible restrooms and many sports are covered on the big screen TV. Well worth a visit.

I recently visited royal oal lidcombe and had an experience that left me quite frustrated. While I was grabbing a bottle of beer from a case, I accidentally dropped part of the case and spilled a bottle. Accidents happen, but instead of understanding, the staff were very rude. They repeatedly insisted that I had to pay for an entire case of beer plus an extra bottle—even though the bottle was part of the original case I was handling. I felt that their approach was inflexible and lacking any empathy. Rather than discussing what happened calmly or offering a reasonable solution, I was made to feel as if I was at fault for a simple accident. This experience has made me reconsider returning to this store. I hope that will review their customer service policies and train their staff to handle such situations with more understanding and fairness.

Extremely rude service from the female asian bartender at the main bar. I was standing at the bar and she asked me what ?? from the bottle shop side of the main bar. I told her I wanted to order food and then she got aggravated throwing hands around saying she is serving someone else. First of all I didn’t call her, wave at her or even said anything she was the one who asked me what i wanted and approached like she was gonna help theres no need for that attitude. This is not the first time she has behaved in such a way. I go there after work sometimes to get few drinks i have never been intoxicated or caused a ruckus at that place for her to treat me in such way. From what i think it’s a matter of colour and race for her to treat customers differently. If this review gets read by a manager or licensee please train your staff properly before they destroy the reputation of your venue. I have been working in bars from last 8 years and have worked as a barstaff to a barmanager. There is no need for that kind of behavior. If you are not satisfied with your job find something else.

Excellent customer service staff was friendly and helpful

The customer service is really zero if i could gave them the bar tender girl was so rude while i asked her about the takeaways it was like threatening to us!!

The Seahorse Bar in Lidcombe is one of the worst places in Sydney. While the room and service are decent, the behavior of the staff is extremely disappointing. The staff often misbehaves for no reason, and the security personnel are unprofessional and lack basic courtesy. Both the guards and bartenders are excessively rude and do not know how to communicate respectfully with customers.

Subject: Report on Security Guard’s Threatening and Rude Behavior I am writing to formally report an incident involving a security guard who exhibited both threatening and rude behavior. On December 7th, at approximately 1:30 AM, we approached the establishment to inquire if the kitchen was open. The security guard confirmed it was and asked if we were planning to have food, drinks, or both. When we replied that we intended to have both, he abruptly denied us entry without providing a valid reason. We then said we would only order drinks, but he changed his stance again and refused to let us in. When we politely asked for an explanation, the guard became hostile, told us not to ask further questions, and attempted to physically intimidate us. Feeling unsafe, we left the premises. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also highly inappropriate. As customers, we did nothing to provoke such treatment, and we were simply there to enjoy a meal. It is unacceptable for a security guard to act in this manner, creating an environment of hostility and fear. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and ensure the individual responsible is held accountable. This type of behavior reflects poorly on the establishment and should not be tolerated. Bad experience ever I went there today it’s my first time the bar staff not very nice in a customer service is 1/10 the man Blonde hair and the gaming room the staff Korean girl with short hair being a bit rude and doing like don’t want to service me I’ve been working in a pub 3 years I know what’s going on I just want them to improve themselves and learn how to work in service.

Extremely rude security. When people make eye contact and say hi, giving them a ridiculing look is NOT the way to react. Manners is what should be taught to this guy.

Staff are great. Looks lovely. Has a big screen but lacks entertainment! No pool tables & no live music or Trivia, no karaoke & no musical Bingo!

보드카 레몬에이드를 주문했지만 알콜 맛이 느껴지지 않아서 문의했지만 직원들은 맛도 확인하지 않고 무조건 손님의 잘못아라고만 했다 수차례 확인해달라고 했지만 무조건 자기들 잘못 아니라고 하고 가드를 불러 술취한 손님인듯 대응했다 바텐더는 자격 없어도 일할수 있나요?

Great pub in Lidcombe to watch sports, recently renovated and have a big screen tv for some sports like NRL and small screen for other sports like AFL, Unfortunately they don’t always have commentary even though they have a big screen tv and they rather play music during the games when they have NRL on big screen. Food is ok too, a tad bit expensive for the area, but price of beers are reasonable. Food is decent quality too, but not sure it’s worth the price in Lidcombe. Will go back again if they have commentary for sports, but will avoid if they decide to play music instead.

Come here for a Wild Turkey and coke. I asked for a short glass and was given some other glass. You can't even taste the alcohol. What's the point of asking for a alcohol drink when you can't taste the alcohol. Go anywhere else but this cheap place

I didn't stay at the hotel, I tried their pub food which wasn't fantastic. The steak was well cooked and tender but the creamy pasta boscaiola was terrible. The pasta was overcooked, it wasn't al-dente, the noodles were stuck together, it was more like mac and cheese noodles stuck together. The bacon (as you can see from the photo) was burnt and overcooked, too thick and it didn't complement the bad pasta. Maybe the chef is having a bad day but I definitely do not recommend the pasta!

Local watering hole. Beer on tap and footy on TV. 《The recent(?) renovation of this pub bumped it up. Of the local pubs in Lidcombe it's certainly the best 》

Very disappointed that after years of calling ahead due to having a short break at work someone in management has decided to over complicate everything. Have been advised that I can’t call the Italian pizza bar directly to make an order, and I now have to call the royal oak hotel to do so. Upon doing so I was then told I have to come in to make an order defeating the purpose of calling ahead.

not sure what the deal is with this tall skinny korean female bartender, never initates greetings with customers, never approaches customers, just stand there and act oblivious. you are a bartender, not a korean idol, no one cares about your looks, just serve the drinks, and quitting acting like you are the boss and better than everyone else there, if you were, you wouldnt be standing there in the first place.

This is the best place for gambling. You will lose your money every week in a provocative manner and you will decide to quit gambling forever, so it is the best place for a gambling addict.✌

They have charged me for a water even though I was told to play gambling and I did etc............................................. Worse customer service in my experience coming to this place. Regrating coming here for 4 years experiencing a same thing with different workers. How? But I loved the place just poor service.

Very clean and nicely renovated. There are plenty of giant TV screens for sports lovers, and they open till late. Direct opposite station so convenient.

Was in the area on a Friday night and randomly chose to give this place a try. The establishment is fresh and comfortable, bar attendants were friendly, served drinks promptly and kept the tables clean. Lots of screens to watch whatever sport you’re interested in and the playlist was great too. Drink wise, really impressed with the range of drinks they had on tap. Tried a couple which I haven’t seen elsewhere. Food wise, pizza bar is at the back. We had a medium pizza for less than $20 and it was more than enough for 2. Saw the servings of other dishes and they were big. Located right across the station, otherwise there is street parking or 2 hours council parking nearby.

The bosses are absolute hypocrites!! They treat us loyal customers like dirt by banning our kids in the newly renovated sitting area and only allow them to stay in the dining area,but on the other hand the owners dog is allowed INSIDE the pub where other customers are eating and drinking???! And when my husband went to get drinks he had to leave the kids in the dining area to get his beer since they're not allowed in that area...guess what? They just banned my husband for leaving the kids unattended in the dining area. Mind you it's pretty much connected to the bar area just with a cage thing around it. Contradictory much???

The spicy pizza is my favourite. As a spicy food lover, this place makes the best spicy pizza. + prawn pizza is good too

Great place to have a drink, watch the sports on TV, place a bet on all the races around the country, and if you want to just talk with a friend or partner there are comfortable lounges to sit and chat when the owner finishes the renovations. There is also a pizza restaurant at the back. Great atmosphere and friendly bar attendants.

Customer service was not good .The way he speak the way he react to customer was disgusting.

Called in to play the pokies to kill some time. Wouldn't bother visiting again. Staff only seemed interested in serving particular clientele. Suffice to say an older Australian male mustn't be a valued guest. I won't bother again.

Good but they are fixing the place up

I went to the toilet and had my shopping stolen from poker machine I was playing. Told manager who said it was my fault for leaving it there he would not check cameras which are everywhere. Eventually I left and will never return as it is surely a scam. Be warned as he is allowing theft to flourish there.

Staff are nice. But for bistro patrens there is no proper seating in pub for dinners. Food is ok but drink prices are a rip. Very average pub nothing special.

You will have to go there and see for yourself friendly staff great service and the cuisine is something else.

The beer & wine prices were good, nice staff. We only went in for a pre & post lunch drink at a nearby restaurant.

Quite enjoyed my time in the smokers area, reminds me of the good old days. This was beer number 68.

The bottle shop had a good selection of Scottish single malts
