Quite and cost but not much play equipment for the little ones

I love the Lantern club.But I was disappointed that powers to be took the lunch specials off the menu (sometime ago). Myself and the group I come with are only looking for a very light lunch. At very little cost. Please bring back your lunch specials. Much appreciated ,we're all doing it tuff. Gus Shore

I feel very welcome and looked after when served by glen. His level of service is very outstanding and attentive. He has excellent skills in his work. Perfect for serving and helping whoever he attends to. I am more than happy with his service skills. He has a most welcoming attitude.

Very clean venue and organised management. We travel to many clubs and to be honest we were not expecting much. However we were totally surprised and happy to say the food this club delivers is of high quality and resembles that of a good restaurant. Staff are professional switched on and well trained and genuinely show a passion for what they do. First time visit and will definitely be back!

I’ve been here a few times now with my friends. Food is very good and nicely presented and the staff are always happy and cheerful. A small but clean and tidy club. Ample outdoor parking too.

We have just had our Christmas luncheon at The Lantern Club, it was fantastic. Sofia was very generous, super friendly and provided top notch customer customer service. The food was excellent and the ambience better than you will find at other clubs. We highly recommend The Lantern Club as a fantastic experience, bring your family and friends and you won’t be disappointed!

We recently celebrated our son’s first birthday at The Lantern Club, and it was absolutely perfect. We booked the outdoor area, which was ideal for the occasion. The food we selected to serve our family and friends was superb, everyone was raving about it and left completely satisfied. A special thank you to Mary, who went above and beyond to look after us on the day. She set up the tables beautifully, coordinated the timing of entrees, mains, and desserts seamlessly, and was attentive to every detail throughout the event. Her professionalism and dedication didn’t go unnoticed, she’s truly an asset to the team and deserves recognition (and a pay rise!). We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend The Lantern Club for any celebration.

We, 5 of us, dined in the restaurant, for 2 celebrations, Christmas get together and our dear friends birthday. We were all made to feel very welcome and catered for. The food was delicious, the ambience with the Christmas decorations, was extremely festive and we all had a group picture taken with Santa. All staff members were exceptional, but one particular person stood out, Mary, who went above and beyond in her position at the restaurant, she was super kind and very special in helping us celebrate our friends Birthday, thank you Mary, you are amazing and we had a great time. merry Christmas to all @The Lantern Club and a very BIG thank you…Cheryl

Went there today, ordered the lamb skewers and vegetables, the serving size was so mall that I'm still hungry and felt as though I didn't eat anything. What a waist of a birthday get together

The pizzas were fantastic, I had the chicken parmigiana for main and that was cooked perfectly, great portion size, the chips and salad were great. Would definitely recommend

Going to this restaurant was a bad mistake. I read reviews before going and there were some that said the food was sub par and others that said it was good. I thought that maybe there had been a change. It was terrible!! Don’t go there. If the food was prepared by a chef, they should be ashamed. It was prepared by someone who has no idea about cooking food.They charged like they were a 4star restaurant and then delivered 1 star food and cocktails. I had the lamb kebabs with vegetables and salad. It cost $38 and the lamb kebabs were the worse I’ve ever had. Lacked taste, dry and the vegetables were boiled. I would have got better from a kebab shop. The seafood dishes looked like they had sat in the oil for some time before being served up. The $15.50 espresso martini was insipid. Clearly the girl behind the bar had no idea. When I asked for some sauce for the lamb so that it tasted of something, it was going to cost me another $3. I’ll never go back, clearly whoever manages this has no idea. Do yourself a favour and go to the local fish and chip shop the seafood will be 100% better.

We hosted our baby shower here and everything was absolutely perfect. Very much a credit to Nancy who organised everything for us and found a way to enable everything we wanted to happen. We had 25 people who all loved their food, from entrées (especially pizzas) to mains and coffee's with our cake and deserts. Service was quick also. Would come back for another function again.

Staff is lovely, but after ordering a pizza and seeing the cook texting on his mobile and then making our pizza straight after without cleaning or sanitising his hands and getting into the dough wasn't something anyone should see or eat..

Manager Debbie was abusive towards staff and customers alike, management at Mingara did not take it seriously and were also rude. Save your money and don't go to this club or any other clubs owned by Mingara

Yeah no clubs charge for drink in the pokie area,if you don't change very soon you must sell your business, i don't even want to give one stars

Very disappointed, we planned a family dinner which was booked in the restaurant and my mother who is 82 was not allowed to enter into the gaming area because of no photo ID. We cancelled dinner and decided to go to Canterbury Leagues Club where we had no issues with my mother's ID and they accepted her pension card. Very disappointment obviously they have had issues with gaming.

Went for a wake pleasantly surprised

My father enjoyed the club and whenever he had visitors he’d take them here. When he passed away I felt it was appropriate to have the wake here too. Brigette and the events team put on a beautiful afternoon function. I asked at short notice giving less than a week’s notice. Asking for a group of 40. Wow! I could not ask for better service. Hi Brigitte I just wanted say a big thank you for organising my son's first Holy Communion at the Lantern Club. You were so easy to work with and everything looked great and the food was delicious. All our guests complimented the food and seating area. I want to say a big thank you to Isaac who waited our tables and provided excellent service with a big smile at all times. I also wanted to give a special thank you to Nancy who was exceptional. She also had a huge smile and went above and beyond for us. I can't thank her enough for her wonderful service in all areas. I hosted my aunties 80th birthday at the Lantern Club and I can’t thank Brigitte the events manager enough for not only putting up with me with all the changing requirements last minute but for the outstanding work she did in helping me set up and decorate the space for the party. She was truely amazing and I can’t thank her enough for bringing my vision to life. Apart from the venue being a dreamy setting, the food and service was outstanding. I would host another party here without any doubts. Brilliant all around. Thanks again for everything Brigitte, you were the true superstar of the evening.

Located next Roselands Shopping Centre. There's free parking on the premise. The club is very clean and modern, child friendly. Place looks bigger on the inside than outside. Expectation of food is what you would get in a normal club setting, prices included.

We held an engagement party turned secret wedding at the Lantern club, Roselands, and even the rain didn't dampen the wonderful night, made possible by Brig and the team. The venue is a hidden gem, and is just gorgeous lit up at night. The sandstone feature wall is stunning, and I was so pleased with how it all looked! The L shaped outdoor space and grass area ensured the event was relaxed and people could move freely. The team did a great job setting up the venue space for us, and helped us immensely with décor! The team at the Lantern club were so kind, flexible and generous with their time! They were beyond brilliant. I am still receiving comments about their friendliness and the food... 5 star!! It was amazing! We chose a range of canapes and pizzas for the event, and I could not be happier with the food! Brig, the event coordinator was unbelievable! Supportive, full of great ideas and suggestions and flexible with out budget. We wouldn't have wanted anyone else to help us ensure the wedding was a big surprise for our friends and family. I couldn't recommend the club enough for any event!

Ok, nice ambience but not alot on offer at venue. Food ok, could be better, pricing not cheap either.

Wonder why there has no TV in the club. The only club which doesn't have big screen TV and seat for local to watch sport

Lantern was great! From being greeted at the entrance with a complimentary shot to warm the bones to the delicious meals and excellent table service. My only critique would be the early closing of the kitchen for desert item and the limited cake selection, but in the overall experience didn't really make a dent. Great for couples, families and friend gatherings.

Mary and Sophia helped us to have a wonderful celebration. Their friendliness and great service contributed to a very enjoyable night.

NO customer service, Food is below average, staff are just there for the money, no care in the world. Front manager is on a power trip, couldn't care less about members and guests.. I really don't know why people come here.. Annie is the only great person there.. I really don't recommend this place at all

We recently held a staff reunion for preschool staff and chose the beautiful alfresco room at Lantern Club for our venue. From our first enquiry we were given friendly information and all our questions were answered. On the night, Brigitte and her team had everything organised for us, the food was fabulous, everyone commented on how wonderful it was and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was asked by a number of guests about hiring the room as they enjoyed the venue so much. Thank you Brigitte for your personalised support and service throughout the entire process and a huge thanks to the staff for their excellent service. Love Lantern Club!
