Love the restaurant vibes, staff were friendly and professional, food was amazing! Will definitely come back again sometime ☺️
We had an amazing experience at this Italian gem!. It has such a cozy and warm vibe, perfect for a relaxed luncj and dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, everything was delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were spot on. The wine selection was also fantastic, with plenty of options to complement the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian flavors paired with a fantastic dining experience. Can't wait to come back!
Nice place and delicious food 😋
Italian restaurant located in the Bankstown sports club. Parking is available under the club and you'll have to be a member or be with a member in order to enter. The entrance is fairly scenic and they're clearly going for an little Italy aesthetic which is largely achieved. This is the second time I had taken my family here and we previously had a decent time so had I reviewed it then, I'd have likely updated it tonight. The food was like before, all delicious; I had the grigliata mista di mare which was essentially a seafood platter main which I really enjoyed. My partner had the scotch fillet which was perfectly seared and my family had various creamy seafood pastas all of which I highly recommend. 'If the food was so great, why am I only giving two stars?' and my response is probably not what you'd expect. Our waiter was.. very distracted. While we were taking our order, the whole time he was staring at some other table and my whole family was confused as to what he was looking at. Then while we were *still* taking our order he then *takes off* and my family member then informs me that he's talking to a woman around the corner. My family and I just looked at each other completely bewildered, I didn't know if he was coming back or if I needed to call another waiter. We decide to wait. Five or so minutes later he then comes back and we have to go through what I had already ordered because I'm not sure if he noted everything down or not. We notice that there were numerous errors; he put down an extra dish somehow(?), didn't write one of the sauces, and omitted a dish altogether. No clue how he managed this, he was likely distracted by the woman who he talking to. The order *somehow* still comes out wrong🤦♂️. He had asked whether we wanted a specific dish as an entree or main and we replied main, only for it to be served as an entree anyway. There's like two options and you still managed to get it wrong, like why even ask lmao. Additional sauces and sides were missing entirely even though we went over it twice. We had to spend time chasing other waiters just to get the items that were missing which I find frankly disappointing. Our night would've turned out a little better if we didn't have to waste time both confused and chasing missing items because our waiter is trying to get lucky. Guilio, brother, I completely understand if you meet this great woman and you gotta chase her, but it needs to be said. Compounding the fact you messed up our orders even though we went over it twice, you running off to talk to another woman while we were ordering was confusing, unprofessional and rude. I'm still rooting for you I guess Guilio, someone's night should be pleasant.
Been here multiple times and the food never disappoints. The staff are so lovely and always willing to help even though it’s always so busy. Two staff that especially stood out to me was Antony and Frannie. Service was superb from them both. Love all the staff there 🤍
Service was great, food was pretty average. In fact none of us liked the food. The atmosphere was good but it was a bit noisy and the air conditioners were making it very very cold. Overall if you go for the vibe you'll enjoy it (if the noise doesn't bother you that much) but that's it
Just terrible, service was appalling, very slow, rude, had to ask for forks and serviettes for our pasta. Who gives just a spoon to eat spaghetti? Food was mediocre at best. They weren't even that busy.
Calamari and spaghetti vongole was borderline terrible. Pizza was jst ok. Wished they could be more authentic
When I went there before the service was fast but the line was slower. The pizza was like it came out of Italy and it was the best pizza I’ve ever tasted!
The Pizzeria Belluci dinner experience on 19/12/2024 is complete disappointment. There was minimal interaction between staff and customer dining at table 309. It may be due to lack of floor staff coverage during the festive season on a weeknight. We were first allocated with table 81, which was double booked due to staff human error. The staff was helpful by immediately reassigning us to a vacant table. Our only order, the supreme pizza, was ready for table 309 but did not arrive at our table at all. It came cold when we got it ourselves at the service counter. No staff came to us check our order status. Only plates and cutlery were presented at our table. The place and customer service did not meet my expectations. As previous visitor to La Piazza, i have experienced much higher quality and better dining experience, which seems to no longer exist.
Atmosphere was amazing
Would just like to add a special mention to the bar staff employee Peter, his exceptional service and friendliness made our day!
Adrian is the best server anyone could ask for, this is a fantastic venue for a baptism reception.
We celebrated my mums 60th here last week and booked the venetian balcony. The venue was perfect, dealing with Leo and Giuseppe was a breeze. The food was delicious and Marco who was in charge of serving etc our event, did a wonderful job always ensuring everything was running as we had hoped and everyone was comfortable. He also ensured I was able to order gluten free for myself on the night. I would highly recommend La Piazza. Thank you La Piazza.
This is my first time to La Piazza. The staff were fantastic, especially Andre, Jessica and Catalina who were so polite and helpful. Thank you. The food was excellent.
Food was delicious and service was impeccable. Our waiter Marko insured all our needs were met and so too Dimitar. Would definitely go back!
The most deliciously unexpected experience I've had in a very long time! Amazing fresh woodfired pizza, passionate and engaging staff and a beautiful ambiance! Highly recommended.
My husband been here when it’s covid time and he said it was good .. but Me As a first time on this place and when we try this is his feed back him and I expect extraordinary results but i was Disappointed with the seafood pasta the shrimp and clams tasted like they came straight out of the freezer!also the pasta was overcooked too much oil the sauce tease acid of tomato, and the seafood tasted stale and rubbery ….Definitely not fresh! For the price, I expected fresh ingredients, but the seafood pasta had that bland, frozen taste. Not worth it! I spend my money for nothing !Frozen seafood doesn’t belong in Italian cuisine! This dish tasted nothing like the authentic pasta I expected…next time If you’re serving Italian seafood pasta, please don’t use frozen ingredients. The texture and taste suffered big time!thanks to the floor manager with a short hair she’s nice she explained and trying to apologies but it was not her fault because she’s not a chef… but i can tell she knows also what is the problem. But thanks god Atlst they have a good water ! I hope the management can find a better chef !
My family and I have been coming to La Piazza for years—I've lost count of how many times we've eaten here with absolutely no complaints. But recently, they've made changes to the menu, chefs, management—who knows—and unfortunately, it's gone downhill. If it’s not broken, why fix it? What was once our go-to spot is now leaving us disappointed each time. Very sad 😞
Had my Sisters Wedding Dinner here. Adrian, Vinny & the Managers were amazing to work with. Looked after us and took out any hassle on the night. Food was great and atmosphere was like travelling to Italy. Forever grateful for the La Piazza Team🙏🏽
Great family-friendly restaurant! Staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is super positive, authentic and receives plenty of natural light. We visit often and typically order a pizza and a few pastas to share. Definitely a must-try for the whole family.
Very accommodating team for a large group of 12 without reservation
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding experience I had at Stuzzichino at La Piazza celebrating my 50th birthday. From the moment we arrived, I was struck by the warm and welcoming service and atmosphere, and I want to thank the entire team for making the afternoon truly special. The level of service was impeccable, with the staff attending to every detail and ensuring that my guests and I felt completely taken care of. Your team’s professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness were truly top-notch and greatly appreciated. As for the food, it was simply outstanding! Every dish was generous, prepared to perfection, both in terms of flavor and presentation. It was clear that great care and skill went into each course, making the meal an unforgettable part of the celebration. Thank you again for providing such a memorable experience. I look forward to dining with you again soon and will certainly be recommending your restaurant to others.
Second time there and both times part of our orders were forgotten, requiring the wrangling of flighty service staff to chase up orders. Zero acknowledgment or apologies either time. The visual surroundings make it look like you're in the middle of the street in Italy, but some music to match would do wonders to the atmosphere, rather then having the rugby on (football/soccer maybe). If they really want to go authentic, have some paid actors pose as abnoxious tourists pushing through taking photos of everything, selfie sticks at full mast. Bonus points if they throw in some pickpockets. What has me going back is the concept of the restaurant and the food is actually quite decent. I just always leave wishing that the experience could be better.
This was my second time visiting, and I absolutely love the vibe and ambiance! The food prices are reasonable.
Came here for dinner with friends. Nice environment and extremely great service. Steak cooked to perfection and best of all was the manager Giuseppe whom really made the night amazing. Thanks again Giuseppe, will definately be back…
A lovely place to bring your family and friends, check it out!
The most disgusting Risotto we have had in our lifetime. Chicken was boiled and thrown there with no efforts to season and serve properly.. total waste of food, money and time. Please save your time spend your money somewhere else.
A must visit restaurant in NSW. You may find the great vibe dining experience in this delicious Italian 🇮🇹 cuisine.
Located inside Bankstown Sports, this pizza joint has been there for at least a decade and still makes some of the best pizzas in Sydney. Quite a simple menu and before you know it, freshly cooked pizzas are delivered to your table and they are decently topped and a standard size. Each pizza is around $25 which isn't cheap but nor is it too expensive. You get a few bucks off each pizza (or dish) if you're a member of Bankstown Sports. I hope they stay in business for a few more decades!
Disappointed with La Piazza. Travelling from the Eastern Suburbs to have a birthday dinner for 10 people. No bookings are allowed so first in first serve. On the phone they said no bookings just come early and you’ll get a table. So we get there at 4.30pm amd line up. When it’s time to be seated they say you can dine for 1 hour and 1/2. It was 5pm and my guest were arriving at 5.30pm. I said it’s my birthday and my guest are arriving soon. I took the table and my guest came at 5.30pm. We ordered and one pizza came out the wrong order so we had to order again. The thing that upset us was we were told to leave twice. We spent over $300 dollars but don’t appreciate being asked to leave when we didn’t even have coffee or any of their deserts. They should take bookings and a deposit if they have too. This is so irritating when it’s difficult to get a group together in the first place. We won’t be dinning there any more.
The food is really bad, the pizza crust is dry and the pizza its self is burned.
Disappointed. Food was average. Chips that came with meals some weren't cooked properly. Some of the pizza's were already cold. Table wasn't cleared to make room so we could have desserts, we went elsewhere for that. Spent $500 on our meals plus drinks. I won't be rushing to eat there again.
George was incredibly attentive to us even though the restaurant was full. Food was good, and came out fast.
Went there yesterday and waited for over half an hour to be seated. Eventually we sat ourselves at an empty table and helped ourselves to a menu. We continued waiting and when a waitress walked past we called for her attention but she looked the other way totally ignoring us. Looked like she didn't want to be there either so we left. As a business owner I can honestly state that's no way to run a business.
So disappointed with the menu change. Have been a regular for years, no more tortellini bosciola only a cheap tasting bow flat pasta with bosciola sauce. Even the sauces in their other pastas are not the same. They also took away their small side salad. I personally don't want to eat a whole bowl of salad, just something small to break up my meal. I feel like it's all a money grab. Really don't think I will be returning. Time to try other places in the Sporties.
This place was once such a hidden gem for Bankstown. I would come here every now and then and would enjoy the meal immensely. My family came here again last month, and let me tell you, this place is not what it used to be. The pizzas are almost child sized for almost $30 each. The arancini was so something bought and frozen, inedible. The pasta was not enjoyed by anyone. The chicken and mushroom sauce was okay. For what we spent, we should have had a delicious feast. Instead we all went home sort of hungry and unsatisfied. So disappointed in the money grabbing of this institution. Do better. I won't be back
I have recommended this place to many people as outstanding. My view on this has changed due to menu changes. On a positive, the Bellucci was amazing as always as was the garlic bread. The Boscaiola was my absolute favourite but there no longer is veal tortellini. That in itself is disappointing as that meal itself was a drawcard for myself coming in to this establishment.
Absolutely love this place!
HOT TIP: order starters and sides well in advance your pizza. The pizza kitchen and the rest of the kitchen are separate and apparently don’t talk to each other so your starters will arrive about 25 minutes after your pizza if you order together. Make sure to order separately!!!!
I've been coming here for the past 6 years and they decided to change the menu and everything I've been coming for all those years they've taken them off the menu, stay away
The front manager served us her names Sammy,, excellent service thanks Sammy Vinni the waiter and what a champion bloke excellent customer service and Francesca what a great chick you are 🙏 thanks for the kool deserts 🌵 Excellent place n food great atmosphere but the people in Stuzzi in lapiazza Thank you made my night god bless
Very busy and popular place. Pizza is good but the pasta wasn’t. Pizza wins over pasta by a big margin
Great Pizza, toppings, taste and value, will definitely be coming back.
Experience in La Piazza getting worse! Visited twice this year first one ordered the steak sauce had a burnt taste in it, veggies were half done and not fresh. Second time table not really ready, unprofessional, got the veal mushroom pasta it was thick and clumpy, and hard. And they really should update their restroom looks old and shabby. Dont think coming back at all now.
We went here for my daughter's birthday dinner it was great. Food was tasty and service was great. We also received a discount as I'm a member of Bankstown Sports Club.
Had dinner at la piazza and we ordered pizza and pasta. Pastas were nice but pizzas weren’t nice at all. We got burrata and belluci. The burrata was quite runny and seafood served on the belluci pizzas was not fresh at all. Really not worth $30/pizza at all.
I have never waited so long for a food. An hour and a half the restaurant is nearly closing and we are still waiting for our food. Terrible service!! Expectations were high, very disappointing..
It's a little Italy town in the southwest of Sydney.
Supreme pizza extra charge of $2.50 for olives . We ordered via app on table 64 . Pizza came out quick tasted great but it was not loaded with toppings for $31.50. We had to go up to and ask 2 of the staff after 45 mins where the rest of our meals were . Then 2 of 3 remaining meals arrived spaghetti bol and tortellini . Then waited a further 15 mins had to go to another staff member and ask where is the cotoletta it then arrived another 10 mins later severed with cold chips and cold veal, salad was not fresh not worth $38 + credit card fees . It was an early Mother's Day lunch for my 74 yr mother . The service was terrible had to prove I placed the order to one of the staff . Lucky I took a screen shot of the app to prove we spent $121.32 including the card payment fee because one of the wait staff was not convinced we ordered and paid . No discount for being a club member when ordering on the table app they force you to use. Guess it works in their favor to provide bad service and cold food when you're forced to pay upfront on the app. Send the food back if it's cold , wish we did now . Take a screen shot of your order on the table app. Not going back here after having to ask muiltple times for our order. We paid the over inflated price for the meals. We used your apps paid the ridiculous credit card surcharge. It ruined the outing for a 74 yr who just wanted some nice Italian food on her day out. No apology from the wait staff for the stuff around 👎☹️
Great place just need more staff
Went yesterday for birthday dinner service wasn’t good the guy who meets us at the front was rude and didn’t welcome us in a nice way couple dishes we didn’t like the calamari were very bad too small and thin and the olive ascolane were extremely salty we couldn’t eat them cake was old hard to cut, I hope they can improve the quality of service and food especially the person who welcome the customer at the front !?
We went at lunch with the kids. Delicious. We got a discount cause hubby was a member. The decor is fantastic. Great atmosphere
This place is looking a little tired and service was very ordinary for wait staff cleaning up tables. The food was nice but nothing was outstanding. I think this place has a lot of room for improvement.
The food was ok I ordered gluten free pasta and risotto. Nothing special makes me want to revisit it. The service was very poor although it wasn’t busy day.
So so so nice place to sit with your friends yammy food and nice pictures you can take
Very delicious
Great food. Terrible service - waited over 35min for a piece of cake which was in the window and just had to be cut up and served
Lovely interior with cute ferry lights and Italian architecture you feel like you’re on vacation in Italy , the food was delicious and the service was great.
A few good things first Best Italian wildfire in town by far hands down no questions about that. The pizza price is reasonable so yay the atmosphere and dcor is amazing Not so good Never get the chicken mushroom as they don't grill the chicken they boil it and it's disgusting. I got it a couple times thinking only maybe once they were in a hurry or something but no every time I got it was boiled. It tastes so yuck!! You can't boil and then grill it to give it the look cos it tastes boil from a mile away The whole getting your own drink etc is such a hassle You have to wait 40 mind for a table It's quite annoying waiting especially when Hungary I would only go here again for the pizza nothing else on me he is good The garlic chilli prawn is very creamy and tastes like milk so would not get it here either!!
First time visiting in one word disappointing, the food was average tasting the service was worst. waited an hour to be waited we were ignored so I got up and asked a waiter to take our order than the food took another 20min to prepare, 2min into eating we were told we had 10min to leave
Title: Disappointing Experience at La Piazza: Lackluster Service and Mismanagement I recently visited La Piazza and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite ordering a cappuccino, the staff initially misunderstood my request and attempted to serve me pizza instead. Moreover, the wait time for a simple cup of coffee was excessively long, totaling approximately 25 minutes, during which I had to inquire about my order twice. It's evident that their priority lies with serving pizza clients, neglecting the needs of other customers. Overall, my visit was marred by poor service and mismanagement, leaving me thoroughly disappointed.
Food was great, atmosphere is very nice.
The pizza is not bad. I'd suggest to remove the pineapple pizza from the menu that has nothing to do with Italy and maybe to hire some Italian staff :)
Two nights in a row we tried to get a table, to be told come back in a hour. We did with no luck. By this stage it was 8:30pm and the wait time for food once ordered was going to be an hour on top of that. We the 3 night we go in with no wait time great. Not ever been here before, not the warmest welcome at all. Pizza was quick to come out. No plate, cutlery, serviettes. Sitting trying to gets someone’s attention to ask can we have some plates. It was disappointing.
Food was great, and grand ambiance with the Italian villa walls, stones and lighting. The entire sports bar facility was quite remarkable, tucked away in Bankstown. The ice-cream was pretty good, and the pizza was fresh with plenty ingredients. I can highly recommend the lamb
Very very good service thankyou
Lovely place, lovely atmosphere Lovely food The best pizza
Simply the best! Nothing to complain.
