Finger food was of an excellent standard both with quality and variety. A good selection of beers was on tap. Staff were friendly. The upstairs room was the perfect venue for celebrating a 21st which we attended. It had a balcony and dancing floor. We have recommended this upstairs venue as an excellent place to celebrate special events.

Ordinary at best. The sunday lamb roast special had to be sent back as it was like chewing on a leather saddle bag. It was replaced around 25 minutes later ( after we had finished my meal) With a Highbury burger, which could not be cut through. The pattie was like a hockey puck! Only the dog at home enjoyed that meal.

The food was tastless, would have gone to mcdonalds instead

Courtney has amazing customer service, the manager Jack came around to check on how everything was which was super nice to ensure we had everything we needed. Would return due to this great level of service from these two staff.

Whilst there was a limited menu, we were told when food arrived that only the apprentice chef was available. Schnitzels arrived with stone cold chips and less than appetising gravy. Quality of food was very very disappointing. Possibly the worst I’ve every experienced at a hotel. I won’t return.

Dont go here if you are gluten free. Despite being asked beforehand ;when I asked about the delivery of my food, she said shed check and avoided us the whole time. We didnt have anything to eat or drink for 50 minutes after our arrival.There was confusion as to what was gluten free so I basically had a pick and was still hungry after 4 courses and $100 later."

Ordered roast Turkey and Ham with rosted vegetables. I couldn't cut the chat roast potatoes, boiled carrots and peas,old broccoli. Food was cold. I spoke to manager to have a word to the Chef's" This meal was unacceptable and the Chef's should be ashamed of themselves."

Reliable venue with consistently good service

Im Really disappointed in this place I feel like it's a corporation not a pub. Had a couple of beer's on Saturday afternoon with friends and seen the picture on the wall advising $20 pint and parmigiana in the sports bar. So I got the family to come for a cheap counter meal. As we went to order was told it's a deal only available through our smart phone only. This method is not an option for us so was left with no option but to pay significantly more. We go to the pub as a social thing. If we wanted to order on our phones it uber eats. The bar staff were nice it's not their fault

Table of 10 booked for a birthday celebration. Chops returned, inedible, chicken burger returned opened stale bun with a tablespoon of salad and very little chicken, rump ordered medium and was well done, waited 38 minutes for dessert, waffles were extremely crisp and very dry. Manager was very rude to one of the guests when we complained. Wait staff were accommodating

Worst dining experience I’ve ever had! Went to have a lovely dinner at the Highbury with my family Saturday night and it was absolutely disgusting! Ordered drinks and food through the Me&u app on the table and it took all staff on that night 20 minutes to realise we had ordered drinks and food and to check their ticket machine to place our order to the kitchen and bring out drinks (this also isn’t the first time this has happened). Drinks came out and they forgot one and the lemon lime and bitters they made was flat and missing parts of the drink. It then took them another 20 minutes to bring out bread rolls and they didn’t give enough bread rolls or butter for the table. They then brought the food out. Whole table ordered schnitzels and both the chips and schnitzels were overcooked and tasted disgusting and majority of the chips were burnt. My family and I have been coming here for years and we won’t ever be back again.

Shout out to Isaac in the kitchen, absolute champion, one of the best cooked steaks I have tried in years, I had a raw scotch fillet and a mate had a medium and they were both cooked to perfection, great job mate, im very apologetic to the young lady who served us as I have forgotten your name, your service was second to none though so thank you all for a great night. The sauces were very nice as well.

The environment is great, there is a small indoor playground which is great for kids to be entertained while adults keep enjoying their meal. There is also a certain day that dinner is free for children, which is also great. The quality of food is good.

New menu was great, yummy food. We are regulars and this was prob best by far food wise.

A fantastic family-friendly hotel! Food has always been fantastic, and service is always amazing - a great place in particular for little kids as they have a playground next to the dining area. A big shoutout in particular to Jack, who has always provided amazing service, but especially tonight when he managed to get us a table when we made a last-minute booking (our plans with another restaurant fell through). Thanks Jack, we always love seeing your friendly face! This is definitely OUR local pub!

I’ve lived in this area for 25+ years and this is the first time trying the Highbury Hotel and what a spot!! Wednesday night is ‘Kids Eat Free’ which is perfect in the current economy. Little babe had a Pizza and got fruit juice and an ice cream! Also had the best time running around the indoor playground! Very well thought out being in an enclosed space so your kids don’t run off into other parts of the building but also all glass so you can see them from your table. Hubs and I had the Baked Barramundi & Seafood Trio. This is where I gave 4 stars because the Squid wasn’t great but the rest was delicious. Baked Barramundi was soft and mash potatoes were silky and delicious! The staff are so lovely and attentive to any needs.

What’s not to like about the HIGHBURY Hotel, Spacious venue, great staff, customer service, enjoyable food, nice wines. Last night enjoyed a delicious dinner, Chorizo and Prawn Rissotto. Have always had a tasty meal here. Don’t take my word, experience it for yourself.

I had my 30th party here, the service and food were pretty spot on and lovely! Staff were very helpful and accommodating to my needs. We had a ton of leftovers as I was expecting more people but sadly a lot couldn't make it, so we got given some takeaway containers to bring as many leftovers as we wanted home! The food of canapes was pretty delicious, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a welcoming place to have a little or big function. I believe it was Linda who made my night! She came up and danced with me, which encouraged some of my family/friends to also come and dance with me on the dancefloor which made it extra special and intimate. Thanks to Joseph and the guy that was on the bar on the night too. I hope to possibly have another function here sometime in the future but a bigger gathering, thanks Highbury team! :)

A recent culinary adventure to the Highbury Hotel was another great and fun night. The food ranged from excellent to outstanding. My chicken schnitzel, crumbed with panko breadcrumbs, was honestly the best and most succulent chicken schnitzel that I have ever had! The bistro restaurant is a huge open room that lacks atmosphere. It does become noisy when crowded. There is no table service provided and patrons go to the front counter to order meals and drinks. The food prices are about average for pub meals. However, the winner on the night was the quality of the food presented and the flavours that the food contained. The food overall was excellent!

We went for lunch today and I had the roast lamb and my husband had the baked barramundi both were good serves. Customer service was fantastic.

Honestly thought there was potential with the food we had today but seems a little amateur. Steak sandwich was far too dry, grisly ends and used a bun which just soaked up the nice relish which was the only upside of the dish. My partners beef schnitzel was mostly underseasoned panko crumb also dry. Flame grilling is one thing mostly looks good but you can't overcook meat with it not touching anything to retain the moisture in the meat. Which also should have been left to rest well before it turned into ultra well done. If it was busy the atmosphere would be better but with the food handed to us today I'm not surprised. Only bright sides were the play area which my daughter loved and the beautiful smiles on the staff and their kind approach to their customers. Sorry guys but need to do much better for me to return.

Awesome food, awesome staff and very pretty surroundings. The best Dan Murphy's in SA next door. What's not to love?!
