You can’t beat location - stunning! but food is really questionable. Kids meals stone cold - cardboard icecream tokens chewed and reused, placed on kids food which is yuck and bao buns wet and soggy with a human hair in one. Sad but true.

Lovely outdoor sitting area, your dog can be with you. Staffs are friendly, foods are nice and prices are reasonable.

It was the first time we went here and it was great. It's a very nice place. The food was pretty good. It was great sitting in the front beer garden looking at the water. There are plenty of food choices and different restaurants. Highly recommend.

Quite solid place but be warned that there are no water views which is slightly disappointing and also If you live in a certain radius of the diggers then you have to become a member there. Decent food, quite pricey if not a member and the decorations are really nice. All the staff are young and the bar goes quite slow but other than that it is very good Z

This review hurts a bit because I love the diggers for a drink and catch up with friends after a swim. Unfortunately the food seems to have gone downhill in quality lately. The philly cheese steak burger was very bland. I had to add my own salt and pepper just to give it a bit of flavour. I’ll of course keep coming for a beer but I hope the food improves

⭐ 0 Star if possible - Bau Truong We recently dined at Bau Truong at the Diggers Club with a group of 8, including children, and had a disappointing experience. While all the adults were ordering food from the restaurant, the kids wanted something simple like chips from the club's bar menu. Bau Truong staff refused to allow the club food in their restaurant, even though they are part of the same club. They insisted the kids eat in the club area while the adults stayed in the restaurant. This policy is not family-friendly at all! It’s ridiculous to expect families to split up just because kids want to order from the club's menu. To make matters worse, the club allows Bau Truong's food to be eaten in their shared areas, but Bau Truong doesn’t return the courtesy. It feels unfair and poorly managed. Landlord or club management, you need to fix this. Either stop their food from being served in the club area or charge them higher rent because they are frustrating your customers and members. Families, beware—this is not a kid-friendly restaurant!

Food is good, good outdoor area. Service was appalling tho. First the table was never cleaned so we had lunch with dirty glasses and table from before. Then we got our food, we asked for cuttlery, and the waiter complained and told us we should have asked before he brought the food so he wouldn’t have had to walk twice. And what about you do your job the first time??

Came here tonight with my Wife, she had Crispy egg noodle combination which was generously served by Bau Truong. I had a Roast Lamb cooked by DD Collective Chef/s, but for the price paid for my so-called Adult meal, it was the smallest serve that I’ve ever been served up anywhere. Harbord Diggers Chef, you have to do a whole lot better. We are customers and are Members since the Seventies. The Waitstaff are all courteous of course.

Very slow service today.. 50min wait for a burger.. ridiculous.. understand busy at lunch. But waiting a long period of time is outrageous.. customer service is below average this time around. Could of come around and explained why taking to long..

Club is amazing, location is great, and 6h free parking is fantastic. But the food..oh god, absolutely dreadful..not sure in what planet they would consider this a Margherita. Absolutely disgusting pizza. Service was hit and miss as well. Can’t believe we spent actual money for this atrocity.

Just to clarify, the Teddys cheeseburger does not come with tomato slices on it. I thought it did.. and made an arse of myself when I took it back to complain. I was so confident I even showed them the menu - only to discover that “tomato” was followed, on the next line, by sauce.. Either way the burger was excellent, especially after they added a slice of tomato just for me 😂

Somewhat disorganised food order system. My wife and I got our meals 30 minutes apart. My steak burger was very disappointing, with little to no cheese, capsicum or onions. No coffee after 8:30pm! The club’s had a major revamp. Looks good at least.

Harbord Diggers is hands down one of the best spots around! The atmosphere is always fantastic with positive vibes from the moment you walk in. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile that makes you feel right at home. What makes this place even more special is its proximity to Freshwater Beach. You can easily take a stroll down to the beach and then head back to enjoy the amazing food, drinks, and laid-back vibe of the venue. Disappointing meal and experience yesterday. The pizzas came within 15 minutes, as per usual, but the rest of the meal took over an hour. So not a great family dining experience. The food itself was average, certainly not as good as previously. It's a shame to see that over time the quality and value of the HD experience has really gone down, especially given the price-tag. Also it was very dirty in the out door area, with no-one seeming to pick up trash etc...

Great place for a casual bite to eat with friends. Especially after a day at the beach. Free parking for 6 hours and cheep membership sign up for discounts on food.

Food was average. Service was terrible. Staff were not helpful and looked like they really couldn't care less that we were waiting over 30 minutes for our drinks, which we had to go up twice to the bar staff for, who were just standing around. One of our friends dishes came out, in 2 minutes, mine 30 minutes later and the last dish, a Caesar salad came out 45 minutes later. Coordination between staff, restaurants and the bar needs some drastic improvement. No apologies from the staff were given either.

Beautiful location in South Curl Curl! Love the walks and views near the diggers! Lots of different food sections to choose and nice outdoor seating. It’s also a place that gets really busy for young people on night out too. We ordered with the Ocean Terrace. Coffee is Fab!

Had lunch about 2 weeks ago which was lovely. Only downer was blonde mid age lady on reception, when we nicely queried being inside the 5 km and still needing to be signed in. Was spoken down to, that the club had not decided whether they would let locals in without being a member. Her tone of voice was that she really couldn't care less about us and they already have enough members and don't need non members, so go away.

roast pork of the day was served unappetising, crackling was pathetic , the pork was dry, I thought it would be carved off the bone, brocolli was just placed cold. The whole presentation was flat. I wanted English mustard, was told it was unavailable. The place is beautiful, bright, inviting and had a friendly vibe.

My favourite place is one where I always enjoy live music and a positive atmosphere.

Please make the kids playground free or atleast a reasonable amount of money. It was going to cost $54 for 3 children to play in the park. As paying customers, a playground for free isn't asking for a lot. Also, please amp up the Greek salad, way too small a serving for the price and it is mainly lettuce. Could do with some more Gluten free options. Other than that, the staff are lovely and so is the atmosphere.

Located at 88 Evans Street, Freshwater, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. This is absolutely one of, if not my favourite club. The range of restaurants you can choose to eat and drink from is fantastic including Bau Troung, Teddy Larkins Seafood and Steakhouse, DD Collective and The Main Bar. I love that you can have such a variety. The atmosphere and layout of the club is really welcoming and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I have never had a bad meal. The club is literally across the road from a beautiful walkway along the cliffs overlooking the sea at Freshwater and South Curl Curl Beach. It’s a beautiful walk whether you go left or right. Also helps if you’re a member of the club, so that you can get discounts. The Ocean Terrace outside is dog 🐶 friendly which is wonderful, always best to get in early though because the tables can be taken very quickly. There’s about three restaurants/cafes to choose from when it comes to having something to eat eg Bau Tuong which is the Vietnamese restaurant which is my favourite. I love the prawn rice paper rolls, they are delicious 🤤. I usually come with my group which is quite large and we never have any problems finding seats. Harbord Diggers is one of my favourite clubs to come to, always a pleasure. ❤️❤️ Thumbs Up 👍👍👍

Fabulous location (it doesn't get any better) with a view on curl curl beach. Great summery, spacious outdoor setting and you probably won't expect too much of the inside when it's your first visit.....it's like a small dining and socializing village! Wonderful to just roam around and enjoy the different settings and vibes. The live guitarist should not be treated as an isolated covid patient (he was sitting at one of the few places where literally nobody was. Next time I hope they'll invite him outside. Food was fine (didn't really have a full on meal though) and again I just can't stop being annoyed about the soft drinks, is it really too much to ask for a can rather than that mass production 'lame as limonade'... Defo will go back there!

First came to this place in the early 00's before it had undergone development. It had a rockin'.vibe with music and plenty of flow across the bar. Now it's like you've stepped into a kindergarten (actually witnessed a minor being served from the bar at 18:12pm, 23/02) and to be honest the place could do with a deep clean as most of the floor and dining surfaces are stained and filth ridden. Good points are lots of onsite parking, EV charging is provided gratis and sizable gaming room (if that's your thing).

Booked tables outdoors for twenty people for brunch unfortunately a rainy Saturday & by the time we got there at 10.30 the whole of the inside seating was taken so we sat at tables outside one of the restaurants but were very quickly told to move once the staff arrived not one staff member offered any alternative seating we had ordered our meals which started arriving & had no alternative but to sit outdoors in the rain to eat them. Quite a lot of money was spent on the day so very disappointing to find that the staff were not at all helpful & the club does not have enough indoor seating for wet weather. We will never choose the venue again for a large group.

My wife and our little blind pomeranian got attacked at the venue by other dog. Venue identified and confirmed attack by viewing the cameras and identified owner. But then absolutely nothing was done to ensdure owner and his dog are not allowed in. I called multiple times with no result. Council told us it is not first attack at the venue. Even though our dog did not have any visible damage, he got sick, weak and died 9 days after attack. Be aware that outdoor area is not safe for small dogs or kids and be there at your own risk. Venue does nothing to make place safe

Lunch was a shambles. Ordering was a real hassle, then had to argue twice to get missing tofu mushrooms in the meal we ordered. Advertised side of Greens included unwanted carrots.

Delicious roast of the day, pork. It was a very generous portion. Everything was cooked perfectly. Wonderful quick dinner 😋 thx

I ordered crab taco. Wrong meals were served 3 times. 1st time, hamburger was given and taken away, 2nd time was pulled pork taco, 3rd time fish taco.. what makes it so hard to cook right food that I ordered :(

Had our wedding reception here yesterday - cannot praise the club highly enough for everything that had been organised. They went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Karen & her team were outstanding - totally professional and caring about us & our guests. I was very disappointed with the Lobster meal we had for a lunch special $30 . The lobster was tasteless and hard to remove from the shell, chips and salad came from a packet, bottle dressing. I also ordered a non alcoholic cocktail called a Northside, it’s size was 125 mls and the price was $16
