I have been buying gear from Techbuy for many years now. I have tried a few other online stores for comparison but I always come back to Techbuy. I am not affiliated with them at all. They give great service and they are very helpful.

The order arrived promptly and works well. 100GB Verbatim M-Disc Blu Ray blank discs. They are great for backing up your data. (Even reads on XP PCs.) I have also tried 25GB and 50GB Verbatim blank Blu Rays, and although they are M.A.B.L., they are NOT M-Discs and in my opinion aren't as good. A couple of the 25GB M.A.B.L. discs changed colour and became hard to read, after only 9 months. (Mould? My place is not damp.) So I only use 100GB M-Discs for large backups that I really want to last. And you should too. :-)

It's one of the best and most reliable computer stores in Sydney. I've been buying my equipment from here for 20 years. Very few computer stores stay in business this long. Their customer service is excellent and their web site is extremely comprehensive.

Im not a computer tech by any stretch but I know enough to do simple jobs...I needed RAM and an M.2 SSD and Techbuy had plenty of options with all the info I needed and a working search engine...email confirmations were provided with tracking numbers...goods were delivered in good time and in good order...when I rang to find out some status info, staff from the company were helpful and responsive...thankyou!

I needed an 8Gb DDR4 notebook module. Precise DRAMM can be hard to find on budget web sites. As always, Techbuy list computer components with comprehensive specifications and at very competitive prices; it was easy to find what I needed. The AusPost price was reasonable, and it arrived in a goodly time and perfect condition.

I bought a Verbatim Slimline CD/DVD Writer after consulting you. My reasons for purchasing this was to replace my optical drive on my laptop. I wanted to copy my CDs as a backup and to watch DVDs. This device does neither. The Nero software only allows me to copy my CDs to another disk and I can't watch my DVDs as I was told I would be able to do so. Contacted Verbatim and they are ignoring me.

The product and the delivery service were all fine but the preliminaries were a shambles. You processed the first order and charged my AMEX card. The, you immediately cancelled the order and my Amex card was credited the next day. When we re-instated the order you again charged my AMEX card and cancelled the order yet up until yesterday no credit came against my credit card so I complained to AMEX who then unilaterally reversed the charge. Prior to this, I telephoned someone at TechBuy who told me that the credit had to be processed 'manually' and would take bit of time. This seems irrational - why then was the first charge credited within 24 hours? The Amex people told me that it could possibly take 15 days. Yesterday was 21 days on, hence my action direct with AMEX. Why offer to take AMEX and then refuse it?? The third effort was charged against my Visa card and went through normally. Chaotic!

Offered very little support when questioning why a order was not sent. Apparantly if delivery address is different to company name the order is refused.

Wow, just wow. Spoke to the “manager” this morning regarding an eBay order. He was so helpful, NOT. Apparently the manager has no idea how the eBay sales work nor does he have access to the eBay buying system to help customer enquires. He couldn’t tell me when “the eBay guy” was starting his shift nor could he tell me the name of the person that was returning my call. Complete lack of customer service and willingness to help a customer that has already paid for a product. Will never buy from Techbuy again, suggest you don’t either. Hopefully this guy isn’t the owner of this business, if he is he needs to do a bit of study to find out how to successfully run a business and keep customers

Color LCD DAB/DAB+ Clock Radio. Really good model and design. Better than a lot of other stiff double the price as this model has many functions. Holds 128Gb MicroSD of personal audio content. Sound os good for smal speaker and ample level for wake up clock. I like the option of having 2 seperate alarm clocks wit on/off and either weekend/weekday setting on each. Very convenient. Setup can be a little confusing but there's not many buttons so its relatively easy to work out what to do. Note this is a travel type device it dioes the job it is desuigned to do. if you travel you may have to redo (1) SCAN DAB stations wherever you travel. The signal satrength of the antena is limited but you pay a lot more for this. If ppl want to do this on cheap - build a signal extender an attach to aerial as suggested in vids on internet. DAB signal is not same as FM.

I ordered the white Kobo but I did have to change this to a black one to avoid a longer wait time. Otherwise delivery was within the timeframe quoted and arrived in good order. I do have problems from time to time with Australia Post, particularly for the larger packages that are delivered by their couriers as they invariably just drop a card in the letterbox saying to pick it up at one of their depots. This happens even when we're at home - they don't even bother coming to the door and ringing the door bell. Lazy ?

I have dealt with Techbuy many times over many years and always come back when I need a 'tech' product as I have found their service to be excellent. This time I needed a large capacity LaCie RAID external HD. I was unsure about some technical aspects so phoned for advice. Michael was super helpful and made suggestions that were much better for my needs that my original choice. As I live in Sydney, I opted to pick up the product and was greeted by Joel who also was very helpful. Due to supply chain problems nationwide at the moment these products were hard to find but Techbuy has a great system and sent me an email as soon as the one and only HD became available. Many tech companies don't have a contact number and physical address, and are available on-line only. Not so with Techbuy. A well run company by these two very helpful Aussie guys. I am delighted with my purchase and service. If a warranty issue arises I can deal with a company that offers excellent support.
