Wonderful location, complimentary breakfasts if booked directly, parking is oh-so-handy, clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Narrabeen Sands Hotel ticks all boxes and will continue to be our choice of accommodation.

Great check in at the sands hotel sarah was super helpful and so was Kim on the front desk. My go to hotel is narrabeen sands for accomodation.

Bar staff couldn't give two ..... About their patrons, kitchen staff need to go to cooking school. Learn to pour a beer and cook a steak....

What an outstanding hotel.Maakye and Fay went way above their roles.My husband is very ill and we came to Sydney for possibly our last family Christmas. They changed our room to make it more accessible.It was my birthday I had flowers frim my family.The hotel helped supply vases.They accommodated my love for leaf tea and supplied a teapot.Every staff member has been pleasant.We are staying til after Christmas

Great family pub and excellent customer service. Kristine was great, her attentive, cheerful and energetic attitude added to the great atmosphere. Won a prize in the Xmas raffle and had a delicious swordfish dish that I highly recommend. Did i mention the beach is across the road, accommodation is upstairs and a bottleshop is attached. Love this place.

Awesome hotel. Couldn’t fault it. Really comfortable bed, room had an amazing feel to it. The staff were amazing. Nice food in the restaurant. Will definitely be recommending it to others.

Spent a few nights here this week. Rooms are large and modern. Good pub downstairs and the breakfast is well worth the extra. Large balcony with double glazed windows which I thought would make the room nice and quiet for a peaceful sleep. Unfortunately the entry door must be made of cardboard. I was woken at odd hours during the night by noisy guests and then each morning by the cleaning crew banging around and talking. The first time I was woken I actually thought I must have left the door open the noise from outside was that clear.

Enormous rooms and even if you are in a garden view, you will probably have ocean glimpses from the balcony. I loved my stays.

Absolutely amazing place, such a vibe

Very clean & modern hotel in a great spot. Staff are very helpful & friendly. If you book directly you get a free big breakfast which was great. Coffee was good too. Lots of restaurants in the area within walking distance if you feel like getting out & of course the beach directly across the road. Pub style meals were very generous & tasty. Double glazed windows blocked out all traffic noise. I highly recommend this hotel for a short or long stay.

Could not fault this hotel, staff were excellent We stayed in an ocean room it was so big and amazing view. Bed was so comfortable, Location was excellent walking distance to restaurants, cafes and not to mention down stairs pub/restaurant Would definitely stay again when in the area

We booked due to the location and were very pleasantly surprised as soon as we entered reception on how lovely it was. We'd booked a king single room but requested the bed be separated into 2 singles. Unfortunately when we got to our room there was only 1 bed. We went back to reception to mention this to the wonderful Ben who was on duty and as they were unable to fulfil our request they instead offered us an upgrade to an ocean suite for no extra cost!! The room was outstanding with 2 double beds, a huge bathroom with full amenities and a coffee machine, not to mention a large balcony overlooking Narrabeen Beach!! Would definitely recommend Narrabeen Sands Hotel and hope to return again in future!

Friendly accomodating staff who are always ready to help in whichever way they can. Complimentary breakfast and drinks were very much appreciated aswell. Beautiful spot right on the water. Downstairs restaurant was lovely. Staff again were friendly and food was very enjoyable. Rooms were comfy and clean. Only downfall being the accessible rails in the bathroom were not the most accessible for wheelchair use but still manageable. We will be back soon!

I can only give one star for the rooms as the beds are super soft and not comfortable for us. I know it is a very personal experience, however if one does not like a soft mattress, don’t stay here. I slept the entire three nights on the sofa and my husband pulled the mattress off the bed base onto the floor. Not the most romantic sleeping situation. The room itself is big with a nice balcony. It’s clean and feels fresh. Bathtub enthusiast will love it. Great water pressure. The initial night staff was very condescending and rude, bit like take it or leave it, you are the first person to complain about the beds. Next day the reception staff tried to help, but a soft bed stays a soft bed. Breakfast is pub food like ok, however no healthy choices and not buffet style, it’s made to order. Staff in pub is friendly. If you like soft beds, it’s the perfect place to stay, others should look elsewhere.

The experience at the Sands was awesome. Meals great, accommation great, service great and the drink were cold. Anita on reception went above and beyond and provided excellent local info. On behalf of The Backpack Venture charity we say thank you and we will be back.

My mother in law had paid well and truly over a good amount for my sister in laws 18th birthday lunch where the food was ment to be amazing turned out to be the worse part of the day not one of us enjoyed there food it was disgusting cold by the time it came out and didn’t taste good the cutlery was dirty as well,not to mention the Charcuterie board that my mother in law had paid good money for was a complete joke 4 crackers on each board for over 20 plus people, they brand out chicken ribs and and chips which taste awful when it was ment to be a cheese board not to mention mixing the cooked ribs with cold meat also the wine that was provided no one had touched we poured one glass and it tasted awful just after one sip leaving everyone to buy there own drinks, when discussed with management they were very rude about it and asked why it was mentioned on the day rather than coming to her a day after to mention it we didn’t want to ruin our sisters 18th birthday we wanted to wait till everyone was back home and the event was finshed, most of us didn’t even eat all our food as it was just cold disgusting and had no taste myself and my partner and a few others of us had actually felt sick just after eating the Charcuterie board and had to go to our rooms for an hour we didn’t feel good till the next day, were very upset as a lot of money was spent and it was just disappointing.

As other reviews have mentioned, this hotel is a good off-grid experience, with no cellphone reception and unusable wi-fi. I needed both, as this was a work trip.

Our recent stay at the Narrabeen Sands Hotel in March 2024 involved a one-bedroom apartment inclusive of basement car parking. The apartment, which appeared to be a combination of two previous hotel rooms, featured comfortable furnishings with a reasonably equipped kitchen and although it was a quiet setting within the Hotel (over a side street rather than main roads) it was across from the lifts. The bed was comfortable as well. However, the bathroom was peculiar. Despite its large size (toilet, shower, spa bath & vanity basin), it was equipped with a surprisingly small extractor fan. This led to an unusual request from the hotel management, who posted a sign next to the light switch instructing guests to keep the bathroom door closed while showering to avoid setting off the smoke detector in the bedroom, which could potentially result in a costly Fire Brigade call-out fee of over $1,500. A suggestion for improvement would be to install a more effective extractor fan in the bathroom. The pub bistro was pleasant with good pub food.

If you want to go off grid this is the hotel for it ! If you want to try and do business their its useless- WiFi is way below 2024 standards and 5g is useless in your room so you cant tether your devices . Great for a beach holiday - NO good for Business users

Just WOW. So pleasantly surprised by this place. Great place to stay in the northern beaches. The pub food is delicious, very well priced and you get 10% and 2 free drinks for staying at the hotel. The beach is literally in front and it’s a lovely and quiet one. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. And one of the best things is they provide free parking!

Nicer than it was, staff are a little unfriendly and it just lack the atmosphere for a pub that so close to the water, if that makes sense?!

Just 3 min. walk to beautiful sandy beach, right place if you're there for the beach. Spacious comfortable room. Has a good restaurant/bar downstairs. Free welcome drink was nice surprise. Good wi-fi. Public bus stop in front of the hotel, convenient public transportation.

I can't wait to come back for my next getaway to The Sands hotel Narrabeen! I enjoyed my time so much that I was booked for two nights and stayed for five. Anita on reception was an absolute pleasure to deal with and an absolute delight to wake up to that beautiful smile and was there to help for everything I needed during my stay. In fact all of the staff including management were awesome and easy to talk to and nothing was ever a problem for my needs during my visit I will definitely be back hopefully sooner than later thanks again team legends!!!

Good location right near the beach, clean and roomy, good price. And my GF reckons the best rump and broccolini she's had for a very long time.

We had an excellent stay at Narrabeen Sands this weekend. We had quite a large party and booked out a few rooms. The location is excellent and the staff are all really friendly and accommodated all our needs. We are definitely planning to return soon.

I made the booking last minute as I had to take one of my students, a minor, out of the homestay that she was placed at on the northern beaches. We arrived there just after 8.30pm and I explained how tired we were when I was doing the check in. At exactly 7am the next morning, we were woken up with a lot of noise and there were builders everywhere on the roof, doing some renovation / work on the roof. I recorded the noise and asked the reception if they could ask them to stop but apparently, they couldn't do anything. I was very upset about this incident as they should have informed the guests prior to them finalizing their booking so it should be a conscious decision to stay there or not. They charged the amount as a normal price and did not even offer a discount, even after my numerous compalints. The lady at the reception was kind and told me she spoke to her manager, who was going to give me a call back. He never did. I called again and was told the same thing. I never received any message or any return from them. Therefore, I will never recommend or stay there again.

Spacious rooms right opposite the beach. Great access to local cafes and pub downstairs. Not noisy and a relaxed atmosphere.

Good value for money, spacious rooms, friendly staff. Small issue of dissatisfaction was handled really well.

Do not stay here if you are part of a family or group travelling together. The management processes work against families. If a family member arrives before the guest making the booking, they can't access the accommodation unless a credit card imprint is taken by the front counter. And they can't take the details over the phone although you can pay for the room that way.

Rooms are okay nothing to go crazy about. The food is shocking. Taste bland and no flavour, tried the cheese burger and meat lovers pizza and never ate something so bland and no taste. Location good but that's it

Visited family staying in the hotel accommodation... modern, clean and good furnishings and quite a large room with beautiful bathroom. Very nice! Dinner in the bistro was very good with reasonable prices. Very good menu choices and nightly specials. Definitely worth a visit if looking for accommodation or a meal in the area.
