Visited and despite being the only customer in the shop he continued to unpack and stock his games. Purchased a game and decided after reading the instructions that it would not suit us. We did not open any part of the game and it was completely in tact however he said could not return or even offer credit as it was now “”second hand”. Very disappointed in this customer service.

I came in asking for assistance, and before I finished my sentence the staff member (Adrian? - male, long hair, beard) cut me off and in a condescending voice told me that it’s not the type of store I’m looking for. Condescending, arrogant. I’m not stupid, I’ve been in this store before many times. I know what you sell. If he’d let me actually explain what I was after maybe he’d be able to help. Instead, I walked out and bought what I was after at Bing - a product your store actually sells as well.

Staff are very helpful. Especially Dean who helped me to try and find an expansion for one of my favourite board games. Also have a good selection of board games, a bit pricey at times but if it’s a hobby you’re interested in than its a good spot!

I have had 2 interactions with 2 different staff here over 2 weeks. First one I think may have been the store manager. My kids were playing with the animal figurines at the front of the store. I asked them to show me which creatures they liked so I could buy them later for xmas. But then I had to answer a message, being oncall for work, and my child started banging with the creatures (like they were walking) on the metal shelving. I agree, this is not acceptable and as soon as it was brought to my attention, I immediately told her to stop, which she did. She also tidied up the display and arranged the creatures neatly. I just didn't like the way this man said it, in a really cranky/rude way. It's not like he asked multiple times and I ignored them or they weren't listening. Try asking nicely first. I get it, lots of kids probably do that and constantly ruin the display and he may have been sick and tired of it by the end of the day. How about moving the display so it's not right at the front, attracting kids? The second interaction was with Dean, when I went back on Black Friday to buy those toy animals my kids wanted. Couldn't be more different. Dean was friendly, helpful, kind and so lovely. To be honest, I only went into the store when I saw it wasn't that first guy there. If it had, I probably would have just bought those animals online. Thanks, Dean, for restoring my joy of Good Games Macquarie. It's a games store, it's supposed to exude FUN!

Felt rather uncomfortable while we were looking for a game for a friend as the staff was staring at us watching our every move for the entire time. Nevertheless found a nice little card game as a nice little gift.

Was told this wasn't a library and to stop looking at the books after glancing through a book I was considering buying for less than 2 mins. Used to buy things from here pretty regularly, sure won't spend a cent here again.

My family and I came in looking for Mr Jack. The store manager (Jessie) was super helpful and kind to us, and we were able to buy the game. My sister was also looking for card sleeves, and Jessie recommended good quality card sleeves, and ordered them so we could pick them up later. Overall, the experience was overwhelmingly positive, and if I could rate it six stars, I would.

Hosted a murder mystery party and asked Good Games Macquarie to help us out by donating some prizes for the event. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Great service! I'll definitely visit again next time I'm planning an event.

Zero service. Racist. I walked into the shop with my kid who was seating in a pram. A staff (in mid 50s) blocked the mains walkway and was too busy playing with his phone. Zero greeting from him and neither the staff at the cash register. The staff in mid 50s had no intention to move over for me to walk through. My kid and I have to make my way through the gap between him and the pile of board games. I ended up knocked down a box. Another customer, Caucasian, walked into the store. The staff in mid 50s was smiling at her and saying welcome to the store, how can I help you today. What is the different between myself and this customer apart from the colour. Can’t believe this place is so racist. With the current economy, if you don’t pull your socks up, it would be interesting to see if you/ the shop still exists in 6 months time.

3.2 - An average range of Games and Gifts to Buy. Staff at counter were friendly enough but nobody helped me as I wandered around for over 20-30 minutes, and then returned again 10 minutes later. Eventually got a game for two friends at Christmas. $16 for Rory's Story Cubes: Voyages, reasonable price!

I went into this store at Macquarie Mall looking for a present for my niece. The staff were excellent helping me find the perfect present that she absolutely loved. The service was friendly, I think Angie? was so helpful. She showed me a range of products to choose from, and I could exchange it if needed. A terrific range of games on display. Also had help from another employee there, Jessie I think, she was lovely. Thank you!

Buyer beware. This store does not honour their own returns policy. Highly likely you'd receive some lame excuse for not accepting returns. My first experience with both a sales girl and subsequently the store manager Jessica was appalling, callous and racist. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Shame on you Good Games Macquarie. Will definitely not return. Good Games TOP RYDE, where service is worlds apart from this dump, will get my business.

The young lady with a disposable mask was incredibly rude to the people beside me. There was an obvious mistake with the game they had been provided with and the shorter lady was being very kind and helpful where as the one with the disposable mask lost her at them. Not a way to treat a customer if you want them to return. Have had good experiences previously but this one ruined the store. Will not return.

The young girl early to mid 20’s with blonde hair is extremely passionately rude. We asked a simple question if she had jigsaw puzzle trays and rudely said NUP! And walked away, never mind we had other questions to ask. Do not shop here. Woman shouldn’t even have a job dealing with CUSTOMERS.

Good Games is one of my favorite franchise store for board games. However, staff at Macquarie store and their poor customer service really ruined my shopping experience, they really need some basic staff training to bring their service to the same level as Top Ryde / Castle Hill Store. Edited: Look, if some customer ask for product that currently out of stock, the very very least you can do is acknowledge there is nothing wrong with customer simply querying about product availability, and we are not talking about keeping you from serving other customers during busy hours, so next time try not to treat customer queries like wasting your time just because you can't make a sale. Go to visit the Top Ryde store, and you may learn what true helpful and friendly customer service should be.

We bought two light-up yoyos at $15 each from this store this afternoon and kids opened the packages and started playing them while we were still walking around Macquarie Shopping centre. After about 10mins of playing, one of the yoyo stopped lighting up, the other one works fine. Since we were still inside the centre, we walked back to the store and explain to the staff what happened, one of the staff told us it is perfectly normal that it stopped working, it is battery operated, you need to replace the battery. She said who knows how long have these toys been in the warehouse, of course the batteries won't last. We tried to explain that we understand with all battery operated toys you need to replace batteries after a while, but not after 10mins. She asked me so you expect them to last 10 years? We wanted to end the argument and requested a refund, but the staff said we cannot get a refund because the package is open. She also told us if we purchased the $50 yoyo, it will of course last longer. We asked to speak to a manager regarding this issue, she said she is the manager, we can only speak to her. I then asked for a phone number where I can lodge a complain, she asked me are you complaining over a battery? She then threaten us to call security if we don't leave the store! All I can say is this staff called J. E. S or Jess or Jessica or whatever, is so rude and unprofessional at what she is doing, she definitely needs more training before she ruined the reputation of her company, Her attitude is unacceptable and we will never return to this store. Anyone who wants to be treated fairly should avoid this store.

Bought a light up yoyo after 5 mins the battery died and we want back to the store and explained what was wrong with the product the store manager refused to make any exchange and refund. The worst thing is they told us it was bad luck that the product didn't last, and as we seek to find complaints procedure she refuse to tell us any information. Worst experience ever. Would never go back to the macquarie store again.

I should probably give 0 star. The customer service was incredibly poor & the price match policy is ridiculous, this shop only price match with NSW store while this Good Game stores are operating Australian wide. This policy ruined Genuine customer.
