Chatswood RSL Club

We found the food to be very fresh and delicious. Staff were really lovely and helpful through the club. Very lucky to get parking out the back otherwise we were going to the bext closest RSL. 1 suggestion would be for someone to unravel the flags on the posts out the front. They certainly werent flying proudly.

The staff here has bad customer service especially Joyce at the upper level bar near the pokies. She knows nothing about how to serve customers properly and has bad attitude. What a turn off from this club because of her bad attitude and behaviour. She thinks she is smart but she is actually pathetic. Slow thinking with a blurry and hideous face

$18 beer jugs YH, $5-6 happy hour beer for members Carton etc, but happy hour only 4-6pm currently

The result of the renovations is terrible as the club is now hard to navigate, dark and claustrophobic. The trivia area is small, has no windows and isn’t conducive to the game because the host connects to just one screen so all the teams have to sit in one half of the room to see the screen… Teams are squabbling over tables and chairs (there aren’t enough), everyone is sitting right next to each other, the atmosphere is filled with tension instead of being enjoyable and relaxing… Additionally, game hosts never tell the large teams to split into smaller teams, so the same teams of 8-10 players win every week, and the club doesn’t get involved to change this.

I ordered battered fish & chips comes together with the salad. This was on the 19th of January 2025 at 1900hrs. Very dissatisfied with the battered fish. Too much battered and dry crumbs and the flesh of the fish was the size of my thumb 👎. The cost of my meal was $25!! What a waste of my birthday voucher. To makes things worse I decided to get myself a cup of skim latte with the cake using my birthday voucher thinking that maybe it will feel me up but that just add to the list of what a waste of my birthday voucher costing $9. The cake was stale, dry and tasteless. I'm hoping that whoever is in-charge, will do something about it because this has been going on for too long. Oh 😮 even the sausage roll is too hard and dry. Forgive me if I'm too harsh I just can't take it any longer. Thank you 🙏

Came here for yum cha on the first floor. Lot of pokies. Long queues at the front with only one person working.

Great food and service here at Chatswood RSL Club. Last time I came Club going through refurbishment. But a great Club to visit. Close to Chatswood Interchange and Busses.

One of the better RSL clubs. Wide selection of restaurants and food. Good food and service. Good selection of activities.

The Chinese restaurant is good but a bit pricey. I did not go to the RSL to use their facilities other than having lunch in the restaurant. But passing through the poker machines, the corridor and everything else is well maintained. The check in process at the front desk is good too

Horrible service!!!

Travelled quite a far distance to come to the newly opened sports bar in the RSL. I was denied entry because I had a singlet on which was my sports team singlet. Nowhere online does it mention a dress code or even if it did they should make it far more clear as I felt very humiliated And had to walk out in my singlet missing the event.

Good space

Service is still below average from my last post year's ago. Staff are paid to work, not gasbag to each other 😡 I hope there's an improvement with the new 'sports' bar.

Had a lovely family dinner on a Friday night. Pizza was tasty and service was prompt and friendly.

I had a lovely lunch with friends at Chatswood RSL Bistro on Tuesday. We were greeted at the door by Cormac, who gave us a warm and friendly welcome, setting a great tone for the meal. The steak was cooked perfectly, and we all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great spot for a casual catch-up!

Great food, great prices. Food never disappoints. Nice and friendly staff and plenty of space to eat or relax. Garlic prawns are lovely also calamari. Chicken snitzel is huge and served with sauce of your choice...great value. Big screen tv for sporting events too. Always promos for drinks too. Love this club and the new upgrade.👍👍👍👏👏👏

Just received a racial comment by the male checking me in at reception Fri night 27/09 , I couldn’t believe it !! asked for the manger - poorly handled - resigned my membership card to him and left - terrible

Poor experience signing up for a membership. During peak hours there should be a more streamlined and efficient way to sign up.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yesterday, we celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Chatswood RSL / 446 Pizza Bar & Kitchen, and we had a fantastic time! The atmosphere, food, and service were enjoyed by everyone, from the youngest to the oldest in our group. Richard, the Manager, took our booking over the phone and was very accommodating to our needs. Tony, the Manager, was hands-on, overseeing the staff and making sure everything was perfect. He frequently checked in with our group and the other guests, engaging in pleasant conversations with a warm smile. Mahima, the Restaurant Manager, was also incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our group and the rest of the guests had a great experience. Her smile added to the welcoming atmosphere. Chef Erasmo and his colleague in the pizza area were busy but still found time to engage with the kids, showing them how pizzas are made and how long they cook in the wood fire oven. The kids loved this interaction, and the pizzas were absolutely delicious! The bar and coffee section staff were equally wonderful, with Emma making sure our cake was safely stored in the fridge. The service here (all the girls and a young man) was outstanding and always delivered with a smile. The young lady at the register who took meal orders was super efficient, even though it was quite busy. Every single wait staff member was attentive and provided service with a smile. We loved the food and tried a variety of meals—all of which were delicious! A big thumbs up to the chefs in the kitchen—though we don’t know your names, your work was well done. Lastly, a special mention to the lovely lady who ensured the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. I noticed your hard work and appreciated it. A big thank you to everyone! We give you a BIG 5 STARS! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Chatswood RSL bistro is a popular restaurant for lunch, achieving a near full house on the few occasions I've attended. Meals are a little pricey but are generally well prepared and in some cases are generous servings. Wait times are not too long, even during peak times.

Wow. November 2023. Team was completely lost at the bar area as we waited 45 mins before we asked if our burger was on its way and it wasn't. Team looked lost and the chicken burger was the worst i have ever paid for in a while. 26$ if i recall. Rip off for what it was. Won't be back any soon. Sorry.

Accidentally stumbled across this place in what I feel like was a “vision quest” of sorts trying to find KFC 😅 although my “roaring” twenties was spent at many RSL’s, I didn’t go in, but I was in awe of the beautiful Remembrance Garden full of flowers out the front. Took my breath away and so I took more than a moment to remember our fallen soldiers of the past.. Lest we forget. Attitude of gratitude always. Absolutely adored the giant poppys in the window overlooking the garden and really appreciated the beauty of the moment at night. What a stunning, reflective tribute and piece of peaceful nature in the city to stumble across- An excellent place to honour the brave and acknowledge our fearless, heroic ancestors.

446 Pizza Bar& Kitchen. What a great experience! I enjoyed my Pizza alla Norma, it was light and crunchy with datterino tomatoes and high quality mozzarella cheese, excellent (wish there was more like in Sicily), fried diced eggplant. Perhaps if I may, I would try Italian origano (Harris farms). Good job staff. P.s. I noticed how focused the pizzaioli were. Very professional, clean and meticulous.

Great club with reasonable drink prices and a good bistro

Large RSL club conveniently located a short walk from Chatswood station and the shopping centres. In addition to allowing you to get your pokie fix and cheap drinks, the restaurant offers good food at cheap prices. Worth joining up to get the member discount if you’re on the area frequently. Parking available on site, many bus routes from/to here as well.

Nice place, but the story folk are literally the fun police! Signing in is an anachronism, and why SHOULD I hand over ALL my details just so I can have a beer....oh well, off to the monkey bar!

I am LOVING the new 446 Pizza Bar and Kitchen at the Chatswood RSL. Great pizzas, arancini balls, calamari, etc. and where else can I get a Sunday roast dinner for $16! I've been twice this week already.

The food tasted incredible for a relatively cheap price!

Recently revisiting Chatswood RSL revealed a stunning transformation, notably its new restaurant adorned with a top-tier pizza oven. Nice enough club but not what I'd call disability friendly AT ALL. Entering the club is fine but then as you walk in there are a few steps down to the food area and NO RAMP for people with mobility devices. I am not a member but was down from QLD meeting members. There is NO DISABILITY PARKING for visitors unless you go to a parking station and walk $25 for 2 hours, pathetic. There needs to be some consideration for disabled visitors. I certainly will not be going back there. If there was an easier way in the staff certainly didn't bother to mention it.

Great club great location great value

Attended Chatswood RSL tonight to try the new pizza bar and kitchen it looks pretty nice and tidy. Had a look at the menu and decided on what I wanted which was a garlic loaf for my entree and a supreme pizza without salami and black olives and to add pineapple all up it cost me $30.96 I was told by reception after signing into Show my membership at the bar to receive my complimentary drink for the month That ends up costing me $6.80. I would’ve been happy if the Bartender had of said sorry sir. It’s only water or soft drink. BUT NOOO I was told to come back next month if I want my complimentary drink I haven’t even used the one for this month yet Anyhow I sit down to enjoy my beer. Then a staff member comes over saying I have not paid for the pineapple on the pizza that I have to pay immediately. Then she walks off with my frustration and confusion. I confronted staff to find out what is going on as to why I paid $30.96 for my dinner and have to pay more for the pineapple I was advised that the girl on the checkout was new and did not know to add the pineapple individually for payment to my knowledge. How would they know if I wanted pineapple? If I did not pay for it on the order? I asked for a refund and only got a refund of $24.30 better than nothing I must say extremely rude experience even management didn’t care

Terrible. I always experience rude staffs and unprofessional management when it comes to customers' convenience and service. Not definitely coming back, and you should not. The manager is rude and racist.

Ordered the Quattro Fromaggi. The crust was delicious and all four cheeses with the honey and walnuts nicely complimented each other. Reasonably priced at $26 considering it is wood fired. Also 10% off for members.

The young blonde gentleman who was on reception tonight (18/12/2023) was dreadful. Stared at me and my friend like we were thugs, no hello, no greeting, no response when we said hello. Even worse when we left the venue, said goodnight, once again just started at us, no movement from leaning on the counter, no goodbye, just a rude stare. Hopefully the receptionists who are usually on are brought back. Was an awful start and finish to the night.

Good meeting place but need to join the RSL Club first.

I visited the bistro for my husband birthday and had a terrible experience. The waitress made me wait for ages before she served me, even though I was there first .She served the man after me even though he said I was next. She was rude throughout the whole service and the portions were tiny. To top it all off, the menu and tables were filthy. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy .

Extremely rude customer service at the reception, Especially the guy called Craig. The staffs at the reception should get retrained. If you haven’t paid for the membership, keep your money somewhere else.

Be sure to think twice before playing roulette. the machines are now rigged, vast majority of experienced players all notice the machines are now showing unusual numbers. Many people stopped coming here. The roulette wheel also sometimes lags and people suspect its because its calculating what number is going to cost the least for the club.

Food and service quite good at club prices.
