Good place to buy games, the staff are really helpful. Well worth the visit
As a newcomer to magic the gathering, this place has become my oasis. All of the staff are personable and friendly and are knowledgeable about their products. Highly recommended for anybody whether just starting out in the hobby or veteran players alike.
A haven for nerd stuff. Good space, selection and staff.
Fantastic staff and product availability - the staff were easy to chat to and had built a good pokemon community for their locals plus the range of products available was great to see as it can be hard to find some specific products these days. The pricing of products can be hit or miss but I'd highly recommend checking them out if you have the time or at least try one of the events here one day
TLDR; Good Games TH is well presented, friendly staff who go above and bwyond and well organised. However, the prices are a bit up there with other retailers like Gameology. Good Games Townhall team are always very friendly and helpful everytime I've dropped in to have a peak at their Pokemon singles and packs they have in stock to satisfy the itch in my goblin brain to rip open packs and collect shiny cardboard to hoard in my binders. It is rather spacious in the back with all the tables set up for players to meet up with friends to play, trade or, on scheduled dates, to compete against other players in the community.
Great service and great board game suggestions!
Professional staff, good range of products overall, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, good vibe. This is a top store.
Thank you for helping me find the required products. The prints on little
Bigger than some Good Games stores, smaller than others.
Very helpful staff.
Attentive staff, high level of professionalism, great customer service. I felt welcomed in the store.
Great selection of games and Warhammer miniatures. Also one of the few places I have found that have plenty of One Piece TCG booster packs in stock.
This crew were so helpful and friendly, even on Christmas Eve. They have all your gaming gear, books, everything D&D and all your cards and board games. Looking for a crazy gift or a splurge for yourself, nerd out here for a while.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Loads of actual board games and not just TCGs Uk'otoaaaa
Always a great experience coming here with its huge selection of games that are well organised into alphabetical order on the shelves and areas dedicated to the most popular games. There is also an area dedicated to the fans of card games such as Magic the gathering, Pokémon, etc. they also have events on which they have posters around the shop for. The staff are really friendly and they know what they are talking about, they seem to love working there and talking to customers about the products which a lot of them have used and played with themselves. You can spend hours in there having a look no matter if you like board games- they have a lot of the euro games and more in depth games as well as the party games that most people are aware of, if you like card games, or dungeons and dragons and RPG games.
small game shops!
Great store, really kind people, all the games I was looking for were available here.
Went in the evening searching for a specific pack of Pokémon cards, shout out to Laura and Jacob! They were so amazing in assisting us as we are fairly new to Pokémon and even though they were out of stock of the cards we were looking for they took the time to discuss alternatives and we were given so many great tips and lots of info and we ended up buying a whole box set of the next best thing, as well as top decks and sleeves. They were both so polite and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again!
Great customer service! Awesome community!
The new place is really great. Really clean and looks fantastic. Much better range of paints and hobby products now too
My go to LGS. Kind and helpful staff, good prices and availability of Pokemon TCG singles and they ran prereleases and tournaments too!
Great shop. Fun events and surprisingly expansive in store stock for MTG. If you are fortunate enough to be attended to by Isaac I guarantee whatever existing loyalty you have to your local game store will be quickly extinguished. Not only was he receptive, engaging and efficient, but this man saw my 50 card order print out 30 mins before curtain call (presumably smack bang in the middle of his closing duties) and hit my silly mug with a cool, calculated: “just give me a couple mins”. When I left, the store was crawling with people and human clutter from the observably gangbusters event that was taking place. On my return not 15 mins later, the place was spotless, Isaac was chatting to some happy aftermath players and low and behold there lay the accursed 50 cards; perched atop its receipt that wrapped around the stack and spooled off the countertop. I now understand what Vigo meant in John Wick when he states he gave John an “impossible task”, the task being to do Isaac justice with the word count a google review allows me. I’ll give it a go though: If Isaac was a magic card he’d be Dockside extortionist, not just because he’s stupid op (he is) but because once he’s there the game revolves around him. This is Isaac’s world and we just happen to be in it. Get on down to good games town hall and see for yourself. Easiest right choice your gonna make in a while.
A huge range of games
Had a lovely visit here - friendly, helpful staff. Place is packed with players, with enough room to wiggle myself in at a table. Met some lovely people and bought a nice single to boot.
I love all the staff and they always help me
Great selection of board games and TCG stock. Well worth a visit of you're looking to add something to the collection. Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.
Wonderful store
The staff working on 25/9/24 were super helpful, and nice. I <3 Good Games Town Hall
everytime ive been into the town hall good game store the staff have been incredibly helpful and welcoming, asking how my day has been and asking questions about the stuff im buying, showing genuine interest in me as a customer, as well as staff helping me buy a few card singles in person multiple times (instead of being coldly directed to the kiosk). the atmosphere is warm and incredible and the staff absolute contribute to that and visiting good game town hall is a genuine highlight whenever i go to the CBD. highly highly recommend
Super helpful and friendly staff; knowledgeable about a variety of board and card games, eager to help.
Carmen was easy going, friendly and very helpful. The vibe here is also pretty awesome. This store had the stock where I wasn't able to find elsewhere.
Great place and amazing service. Wide selection of board games, with room to play in-store.
Great experience in store, team very helpful and friendly.
Good place for games
My go-to spot for board games in Sydney CBD!! Very helpful and friendly staff in my experience.
This game store offers a wide range of board and card games for purchase. They also have an extensive library of games available to play in-store. There's an option to book a room for a quieter experience, which is particularly suitable for role-playing sessions. The staffs are friendly and helpful.
Good Games Town Hall has the best presence and the staff are very helpful and easy to talk to. The store is well stocked and has a large shelf of board games that can be played at the store.
Fantastic store - staff are always super friendly and helpful, and plenty of variety - always walk out buying something!
Awesome guys, very knowledgeable of all gaming systems and happy to help new people. I look forward to attend events here. Have a lot of board games and DnD products
Play SWU on Mondays. Has everything I need
Had an amazing time at Goodgames Town Hall on Saturday playing board games with my son at their board games day event. The board games library they have is great (looks like around 70 games) and the staff were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was super. We played a bunch of games and bought one to take home. Will be back!
Friendly and lovely staffs with excellent recommendation.
My go to GG for commander night, great community and staff! always have a great time!
Nice and friendly stuff, a lot of boards games! 👍🏻
Great for casual, classic boardgames as well with a big library to choose from. We keep coming back ever week
I’ve been visiting after work for a while and the staff are always honest and friendly; always happy to purchase from this store :)
Friendly staff!! Friendly Community!! Great experience for enjoying your personal hobbies!!
Amazing selection of games, and super friendly staff. Could easily spend all day there!
Best Goodgame ever!
Very helpful and obliging. Found a nice little chess board for travelling
Bought these games and the lady was so friendly and welcoming. We wanted to price matched 3/4 games and they were so helpful with the process. Worth visiting their stores. A lot of board game collection and we will definitely be back.
Very good shop with a lot of diversity.
Found everything I needed and more great customer assistance and this is a real review no one is pointing a gun to my head so BANG....
Great store, love the experience, would recommend
Good good games
Great customer service, got exactly what I wanted in under a minute! 3 sets of 'Yum Cha'!
+ Solid selection of titles in stock + Some items are really well priced + Friendly and helpful staff + Decent amount of tables available for playing games - Library of board games to play is rather limited
Good variety of games
Horrible just horrible
Great place for games. Very dangerous for dice addicts!! So many options for games and accessories. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back when i am in town
Very good a bit busy
Great place to fine cards. Great staff as well very helpful!
Great selection of games and game accessories including boardgames, card games, TCGs and miniature gaming. They also have some games that are free for anyone to borrow and play. They have a large area for gaming. The staff are friendly and helpful. About 10 mins walk from Town Hall.
Good people helpful with advise and easy to work with
The Staff are Nice and Accommodating, will always go here if possible
Not as good as the old one that was on Kent St, but worth a visit
They were amazing with my little cousins I took in to play draft for the first time.
Has simple board games, and good tcg stuff to do. You can buy everything pretty much cheaper anywhere else. Refer to picture for example if you are a Gundam enjoyer.
I wish this review could be rated higher - the staff are lovely and helpful, and make excellent recommendations when they don't have items in stock. Over the past couple of months, I enjoyed purchasing product here and talking with the friendly staff. Ash and Laura have been delightful and helped get me into Magic and introduced me to several great games, always going the extra mile to make me feel welcome!! Unfortunately I was left with a bad taste in my mouth recently while being served by a staff member (an emo looking man, self described as 'the boss' but I hope that's not true). He made me feel silly for asking basic questions, and I felt like he resented me for taking up his time. I had gone in with the intent on buying several boardgames, but left and instead bought them at another store. I certainly won't be buying product from him again, hopefully next time I go in one of the other lovely staff members will be able to assist me.
Helpful staff, great stock. Monday night commander is always good fun! Only flaw is they keep taking my money.
I walked in here once, had to walk out to get out
Went for drop in d&d, fun inclusive vibe with lots of snacks and drinks to buy.
Good for everyone
I was hopeful my visit here would be great but I was let down by customer service and the overall in-store experience. They did have a good selection of games that were priced ok, although the in-store atmosphere was not very welcoming. No one offered assistance while I was looking for games and when I went to pay I had to wait for 5 minutes at the counter while the sales assistant was standing opposite me on the computer not acknowledging me or assisting me to buy my items. Their price match policy also doesn't match what they have in-store which is frustrating that they're not aligned. They only price match other local game stores, despite being a global chain store.
