I’ve never been to a pub with security guards that take their job so serious. I’m from Liverpool, uk and I’ve seen it all… but inside this small pub in the south of Sydney they happen to have security guards who will remove an individual for ordering drinks from the bar that they serve drinks. It’s crazy. Never in my life have I seen doormen so serious … not even at the Cream. It’s so funny. Anyway. karaoke singers were amazing

Would give 0 stars. I had a really disappointing experience at this pub. The security staff were completely unprofessional, kicking people out for no reason at all. I’ve been there a few times, and each visit has left me feeling uncomfortable. They have no clear policy, and it seems like they just decide to remove people based on personal bias. The atmosphere is tense and unwelcoming, and it really takes away from what could be a great spot. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a chill night out.

Ordered “Dolce “ and “Margarita “ pizzas. Basically inedible it was that bad. Cheap tasty cheese instead of mozzarella, Dolce crammed with toppings but very undercooked. Margarita tasted like someone opened a can of tomato sauce and just dumped it on there with a bit of cheap cheese. Far from the gourmet pizza they used to aspire to. Never again.

This place is quite nice. Everyone seems to be relaxed from the times I’ve visited. I haven’t ordered food from here but the bistro area is always busy. Drinks are fast to come after ordering

Located at 8 Oatley Avenue, Oatley, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. I really like this hotel, the food is always really delicious, especially the Pizzas. It is quite expensive, I got a bottle of coke and it was $8.00, so don’t come here expecting to get a cheap meal or drink. Apart from that, I would definitely recommend. The staff are really helpful and friendly. It’s a really nicely decorated place. Usually on weekends it’s very crowded but I think today because it was raining, not as many people which was quite nice. Thumbs Up!! 👍👍👍

If I could give it minus five stars I would. Ordered a Scotch Fillet, medium rare. Came out and looked like a tin of mashed Pal dog food mixed with boot leather. They did offer a replacement.But would not give my money back. Will not not go back, nor would I recommend eating there.

I have been here twice and both times they have forgotten one of the meals. No apologies given when I went to the counter to remind them , there was no apology, they just turned around to the cooks and muttered something. Last chance

Great!!! Very impressed, lots of rooms, and a number of different outdoor spaces. Food was great and super quick and delivered to our table. Live music on the terrace too. We'll definately be back.

We had the Teriyaki Salmon. To our surprise the Salmon is well flavour and savoury. Normally in Japanese restaurants they will serve it with rice. But here in Oatley hotel lunch special, the chef decided to serve it with some fruits/vegetables salad. Very refreshing and well-balanced flavour. Good work chef. It sure has achieved Umami" effect in Japanese word"

Food was tasteless and very dry. I had the crumbed pork cutlet off the specials menu. When I told the waitress about the pork and the so called roulade she charged me $10 for Dianne sauce and mayonnaise 😳. Second time eating there and twice disappointed!

A great casual bustley ambience that is stylish with comfortable outdoor seating options. A good selection of cuisines that cater to some dietary needs. Meals were well presented with great flavours. Future consideration - more seasonal greens to be served with the fish (scarce on plate).

Very disappointed with my $29 pork cutlet meal with a type of salad consisting of only fennel and hardly any dressing,the meal was lacking taste and required a sauce as both components were very dry,I asked for a gravy for the pork cutlet and some alioli for the salad and was charged an extra $10 which I believe should of been part of the meal. I did not enjoy this meal and could not complete it.

Had to drop in as our and other trains got cancelled so we decided to go to the pub. What a really great surprise we got. It's like a tardis do many lovely places to drink, catch up, eat etc. We didn't eat but plan to meet up with friends in the new year to do so. Bar service was great and staff very friendly

The ravioli was absolutely nil star. Crap, dry and lacking any kind of taste. Disgusting! How do these places get away with such rubbish???

Absolutely ridiculous to charge $6 for post mix carbonated water, and $8 for a small shweppes mineral water. Water as expensive as the alcohol… Disgusting!!

Food here is always terrible

I am so sick of returning to this place and being left disappointed there is either hair in my food or my snitzel is stale or I find a prawn leg in my food. Clearly there are some cleaniness issues in their kitchen. Won’t ever be going again unless it’s for drinks!!!!

Great food and but when busy the service is slow. The live music is great and the outdoor dining areas are inviting.

i am extremely disappointed in this pub. my girlfriend who was not drunk was being watched by big security guards all night. they approached her two times within the span of three minutes and said and i quote “ if you get another drink you’re getting kicked out”. we didn’t even drink a lot at all, definitely not enough to get to the level they where acting like my partner was on. it was also for a 21st surprise party who the stupid security guard ruined. the security guard at the front was talking about how a lot of people with the same last name are already upstairs for a party infront of the birthday boy who didn’t know what was happening. can you get any stupider honestly? the host made it clear it was a surprise party too. my sister in law also miss understood the security outside of the pub and he made a filthy face and said “what am i speaking chinese”. overall we where treated in a disgusting way and the surprise party was ruined. thumbs up to stupid oatley pub who ruin surprise parties and care about kicking people out who aren’t drunk instead of the ones sitting on the floor about to pass out. wont be getting anymore of my family and i’s money.

A local pub with indoor and outdoor area. The food for a pub is pricey and rather poor quality. I certainly wouldn't bother returning and I wouldn't recommend it. Food and drink prices are expensive for what you get which isn't good

The Oatley hotel is it like a hotel and it has several different areas including an outdoor area. They provide a bistro style area for eating and while the food portions were a reasonably good size I found the food was poor quality was underwhelming. Services okay but nothing special that could certainly be improved. If you were living in the area I guess it's okay for a local pub but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to visit here

As someone with their RSA i've never seen such shocking service with rude and unprofessional staff. The upstairs bar staff were especially disappointing, using offensive language and caught charging people for drinks without putting any alcohol in them. When confronted, they denied it and refused to remake the drinks. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place — you're better off going to Peaky Pub instead.

Staff are hopeless - empty pub and all they’re worried about is 3 people standing in a pokie room that no one’s playing in anyway, absolutely ridiculous. The managers and security are a bloody joke. Don’t want my money - I’ll keep it , up yours

First time at Oatley Hotel. Can't review it too hard as I was there for a birthday function, so can't review the food. The atmosphere was busy, and the venue was updated. A good first time experience, so on the list for another visit👍

We just had my father in laws 80th birthday at the Oatley Hotel and I have to say it was incredible. The whole thing from the attention to detail of preparation and readiness for the day weeks in advance, the catering which was tasty and well priced, the staff (Sam and team) who bent over backwards to make sure we were happy and nothing seemed like a chore. The venue itself is brilliant, beautifully styled and comfortable, and has all the tech you need for music, speeches, slide shows etc. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Thanks to the team for making the day so special. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Nice pub food. My salmon was fresh and they were able to accomodate for dietary requirements. Very friendly staff. Walked in, plenty of seating on a Sunday night.

Food is great, but too noisy for us. But if you like it that way, then it will be good for you.

Always a good pub lunch! Great for the typical pub cafe and also quite well known for their pizzas. Lots of options for kids too and a good range of tapas/ sharing style options for if you are there for drinks with friends. Great beer garden and a really beautiful upstairs area for functions.

Jason the bartender gave absolutely amazing service. 10/10. He made our experience nice and warm and cozy. He deserve a pay rise asap. But also didn’t give us $5 shots. A+ for Jason

The Hotel is a great venue, family friendly, well priced food and drink, however on leaving the venue the conversation between the group of security staff was vulgar and offensive and really matched a venue of a lot lower standard and not fit for a work place.

Food was slightly expensive for us but atmosphere is great and staffs are generous.

Unfortunately, I went there for a wake. The staff was lovely.
