Great club, good food

Food is fantastic especially the smoked lamb shoulder Service from all the staff in the restaurant was exceptional. Would come back here any time. Special mention to Mel on reception who is always very friendly

Just went in for the races last Saturday. Good Tab . beer prices OK don't know about the food as I never ate there

Very professional. Great place for a function or party

Our experience was less than satisfactory. The staff refused entry to the golf club for not having enough clubs and then charged us a higher fee than previously stated than our last visit. They were rude and unhelpful throughout. Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and poor customer service.

Nice lunch crowd

We were in the function room which is a great venue for a celebration and the drinks are reasonably priced. There is no view in this room.

Great venue, but couldn't find a lift to the function room downstairs, which makes it a bit tricky (and exhausting) emptying out the room after a function.

Beautiful spot. Service lovely, Food delicious. Great company catching up with ol' school friend. I love being in the shire , all treasured memories from my childhood growing up there Go the sharkies, and always supported them also. Great food and service and a place for the kids, but good idea to book them in early! Also a great option for large groups.

I ordered a Deluxe Scotch Sandwich. I would have preferred just an ordinary steak sandwich but that was not on the menu. A plate arrived filled to capacity with a huge rectangular roll and heaps and heaps of chips. Quantity was there but was it quality? It also came with a steak knife which I thought odd for a sandwich. Although called a sandwich it was not made with bread. I attempted to pick it up but the onion rings started slipping out and I could see there was no way I could get my mouth wide enough to eat it as a ‘sandwich’. I never have any trouble with a Big Mac but this ‘steak sandwich’ was impossible for me to get my mouth around. I put it back on the plate. There was absolutely no room on the plate to open it up so I pulled out part of the steak with my fork and tried to cut it with my ordinary knife – too tough for that. I now knew why I was given a steak knife. Even using that it was very tough to cut and tough to chew. I would not even want this ever again even it was free.

Disappointing experience for first time visiting with a large group. Whilst some meals were ok, the scotch fillet which was almost $50 was virtually fat. Another meal was undercooked chicken & tough steak sandwiches. The parmy & hot chips were about the best on the menu. Service was slow at the bar with minimal staff serving. Our dessert order had to be followed up a few times. Unfortunately won’t be back.

Proper got scared of the 18th hole considering you have to hit it over the buggy shed. Overall a great golf course

Friendly staff, lovely food and clean amenities

I am a new member, been to the club several times now and have always chosen something different from the menu to eat and was never let down (everything that i have tried was delicious and of high quality meals). All the staff are kind and friendly and now i am always looking forward attending Sharks at Kareela.

All types of delicious 😋 😋 😋 😋 Meals. Smiling fast service. Big tables, in an air-conditioned very large dining area.

Good environment; good food and drinks; great location. The only negative is that the kids room is not big enough to attend/respond to the number of restaurant audience. I went there the other day for a birthday dinner of a friend and we had about 10 children at the table. They could not attend the kids room all together due to low capacity and that was just from one restaurant table. If the other tables had kids as well it may have frustrated the parents. The kids room works on reservation which was previously done but unfortunately too small for families with kids to be able to attend the restaurant all together.

Nice outlook across the golf course, foods great, drinks are a reasonable price.

The food was delicious. The staff were very helpful and if they didn't know something they were very obliging and would check with other staff members to find out. The atmosphere was very pleasant.

New shark bite" cocktail the perfect mix of sweet and sour and delicious way of celebrating a sharkies win .....but get rid of wedges off the menu? That's the best footy food"

Held a Surprise 50th in Green View Room 2, Bec and her staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble I can’t thank them enough. We had a blast and I and extremely grateful that our night was as amazing as it was. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

Absolutely shocked and disgusted by the staff who run the functions at this premise. Would never recommend anyone to hold their parties here.

Great little club with a great outlook over the 18th - menu is good but could do with a summer/winter change - try the lamb shoulder but be prepared and bring along a take-away container 😁 Club does not supply plastic containers for good reason

Lovely atmosphere. Great views if you can get a seat near the windows overlooking the golf course with hurstville in the far distance. We always eat at the Cove bar and grill, taking advantage of the weekday specials. The garlic bread and the haloumi chips are absolutely awesome and a must try, although the current menu doesn't have the haloumi chips available which is a shame (Dec 2023) I'm hoping that will change with the new season coming. The staff are always friendly and the service is great! Drinks are reasonably priced as well.

What a wonderful shop and the lady was so friendly and helpful. I bought a shark top for my son and my daughter bought Shark tops for her nrphews which I will take back to the UK after Christmas which we know they will love.

Great place great food

Very disappointing food considering the price. Most likely pre-cooked or reheated food. Was at our table in under 5 minutes from making the order, rank Wouldn’t eat here again

What a great club. Perfectly cooked steak, what more do you need.

We had a very large family gathering for lunch, which the poor kitchen staff were struggling to handle. The food very ordinary, mine quite dry and sister's tough. I think next time we have a large crowd we might try and have a set menu if possible.
