Jaycar Electronics Rhodes

Today i went to get a Raspberry Pi 5 4GB from Rhodes store but was left disappointed. I called them before to make sure they could price match with another retailer who was selling it for $44 cheaper. The guy confirmed on the phone they can do price match provided the product is available in store for pickup. But when I went to the store the guy said they cant price match a product that is on sale. i went to nearby Scroptec to get the same product for the cheaper price.

The staff working very much determine the kind of experience you have at this store. I came here to get something specific I needed for a work printer which I didn’t know much about. The man that helped me initially couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and went out of his way to assist me. On the other hand I needed to return something that was incorrect and was served by Bianca, who when I greeted her she simply look at and me and asked what I needed. I have never experienced someone so rude in a customer service environment. I know it’s never nice having to process a refund but her attitude was completely out of line and I will definitely not be shopping here when she’s on.

Was just served by Terrance, who was honestly one of the most helpful salesperson I've ever encountered!

I popped into this Jaycar the other day to pick up some specific batteries, and while the staff were super chill and helpful, the batteries themselves were a huge letdown. Got home, cracked open the pack, and bam—corrosion city. None of them worked which was a bummer because I needed them for my gear. They need to check their stock more closely!

Loved shopping here! The staff were great, esp Dylan, whose knowledge on 3d printing just blew my mind. 10/10 would recommend.

Went into Jaycar Rhodes with my daughter and was greeted by Dylan. What was meant to be a quick look around ended up being a masterclass in 3D printing. Very friendly and knowledgeable person who genuinely wanted to add value. He showed us his various works, difference between resin and filament machines and even printed some small gifts for my daughter to take away. No hard-sell at all, just a really great customer experience. Thanks to Dylan, she now wants a 3D printer.

The most inexperienced unfriendly and rude staff. I asked about a product I seen they sell online they told me they didn't sell it. I then found it on the shelf and staff then followed me around the store. I wish I could leave a 0 star rating.

Fantastic customer service and product range. Dylan is super knowledgeable and passionate about different technology, especially 3D printing! Store is nicely decorated with his projects :)

Horrible experience this morning at Jaycar Rhodes. I was totally offended by Dylan with his accusatory attitude. Very poorly handled Dylan! To speak down to a genuine customer with such tone because of your ill founded suspicions of shoplifting. Not cool man. Definitely won’t be shopping at jaycar ever again!!

We are regulars here. Small store but passionate and knowledgeable staff is worth the visit. Dylan's passion and expertise helped my eight year old get into 3d printing from selecting a printer to choosing filament. We have confidence if he recommends it, it works as he has used it himself. I think we will be back every weekend now.

I went into Jaycar and asked about headphones for my Samsung S20+ that plug into my phone. They had one pair only - Concord brand. Never heard of this brand before and didn't want to risk buying them for $27.95. I then asked about external hard drives. They had something else - portable SSD. It only went up to 1T so not that large really. Helpful staff member but will shop elsewhere.

I dropped by to pick up a click & collect order. The store is very well kept and the staff very friendly. I was in there for a short time because the staff have an efficient system for it.

I went in to return my adapter today, but they only accept returns after only 7 days of purchase, so couldn’t return, which is okay. My hands were full when I came up to the counter rambling with the receipt and the adapter, which made the female staff at the counter snub at me. She could have said “sorry we can’t return as per the policy, I hope you understand”, but she was rude and direct with what she said. Certainly felt unwelcome, would not recommend.

Really nice staff and super helpful! Had to take a faulty item back and staff member (jake i think?) was really great and tested the replacement with me to make sure the new one worked.

I am changing my Jaycar home store from Rydalmere to Rhodes. They give top customer experience. I went in to the store today to replace item bought from Rydalmere store. The female staff member, busy at racks, saw me and rush to counter and did the quick replace for me without any hassle with my receipts. I don't get same customer experience at Rydalmere.

This store saved me from failing an Engineering Assessment Task! It was the only store nearby that offered arduino accessories. Great service too!

Attended 2 Maker Workshops on introduction to Arduino and soldering. Rachel (Instructor) did an excellent job teaching in a fun and engaging manner, as well as sharing all her tips and tricks! Highly recommend!

Staff were very helpful and informative. Got some great info and advice from Jess and Ryan. Their range is quite extensive for one of the smaller locations and prices are attractive on most items. Non stock items can be ordered in store for pickup or delivery in a day or so.

I attended two robotics workshops run by Dan, who was super friendly and welcoming. Dan's humor and energy helped create a comfortable and FUN learning environment, especially for beginners. I also appreciated Dan's patience and the fact that he allowed workshop participants to learn from their own mistakes throughout the workshop. Thanks to him, I learnt so much about robotics within the span of a few hours, and was able to successfully build a wall dodging robot and an arduino based snake game. To any beginners out there who want to take the first step into robotics, highly recommend to sign up to a workshop with Dan the Man!

Excellent staff. I went replace a power supply and had no idea what I needed to do to replace it. Jess and Ryan were so helpful and understanding, explained everything in simple terms and made sure I had exactly what I needed to make my modem work again. 20/10 customer service and lovely people.

Attended Maker Workshop with my 9 year old daughter for Solder a wearable badge and mbot coding. Dan (Instructor) was explaining in detail and safe manner. I was worried about hot soldering iron but he managed to complete workshop on time. My daughter did everything herself. She is doing another projects herself. Great activity.

Bought a couple of pairs of the wireless headphones - look a lot like Airpods but don't quite sound the same ;) ... but they are substantially cheaper! Had an issue with one earphone, took it back and walked away about 90 seconds later with a new pair. Was served by a girl there (sorry I didn't get a name!) and she was efficient, helpful, and friendly. Great team

I was so excited to have a jaycar opening down the road. Pretty disappointed they don't stock anything other than cheap toys and accessories. You'd be extremely hard pressed to complete any project with their poor selection.
