Possibly one of the worst wraps I’ve had!

Hi tea over priced for what you got

Great food and friendly service surrounded by the beautiful Camellia Gardens

High tea was a very enjoyable experience. The food was delicious.

Wow! Delicious food and a great scone. Lovely atmosphere. The garden view is so special. Thanks for your friendly hospitality guys. Calm and relaxed place.

Coffee and walk 2nd to none

Very friendly staff Food is excellent and a great place to have a high for a relatively small number of people

Arrived at 1.30 knowing Café closed at 3 pm. Told that Café was shutting at 2 pm because it is a hot day. We prepared to come in for a drink but was then told by somebody else we could not sit in the cool café but could only buy takeaway. Disappointing, unpredictable, as the board at the gate said Cafe OPEN. Poor. Judging by reviews we were clearly unlucky.

Beautiful view. Attentive and personable staff. Food was plentiful and very delicious.

What an absolute gem of a place! Location is beautiful and service is very good! I had a group booking for a milestone birthday of high tea and everyone enjoyed the experience! Cute china teacups, teapots, delicious finger food and cakes with a big, soft, homemade scones with cream & jam!! We could BYO champagne which added a bit more sparkle! Highly recommend the HIGH TEA !

The Jade Teahouse in Camellia Gardens is a great beautiful place to visit during the day time when mother nature is calling us for the time being that we saw ducks lizards that shocked me out of the world even though we looked around to check out this awesome place one of the tradie workers were cutting down the trees so it wasn’t our day to look over there to see what’s there therefore I saw many Flying Foxes way up onto those palm trees that it was a bunch of family of them. We tried to find the exit door that lead us out to the gardens for some time the magpies were staring at us when we were having morning tea I did shoo them away using my hat. The best way to end our journey to the beautiful nature.

Pleasant venue with prompt service and good food

Going to the place that we've been to is nice and all we went to have a look around. we saw a lot of ducks, some golden orange fishes, and one insane encounter of a lizard, which it was insane to see. I didn't notice it until I almost stepped into it, so we went around the paths or trail, which one of them was closed due to tree cutting in progress by the trade workers which it was unfortunate. Overall, when we tried to get back to at the entrances, we saw a lot of flying bats or flying possums for some reason which we were shocked to still see them hanging upside down at the tallest trees you can ever find them. The place was nice, hopefully we can come back next time.

Beautiful setting and friendly, energetic staff. I ordered the iced latte - it definitely woke me up, and it tasted really nice! I'll definitely have a coffee from here a second time.

Friendly fast service. A quiet relaxing place for lunch or a snack. The Earl Grey tea with chocolate syrup and fairy floss is absolutely amazing.

Lovely place

Always nice to be surrounded by the beautiful greenery of the gardens while enjoying tea 🍵 and scones 👌

Best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had in my life

Enjoyed some super delicious scones and tea today. The scones were soft and warm and generously sized, the house-made berry jam was delicious and the portions of jam and cream were ample - nothing worse than running out of cream before your last scone! They have a broad selection of teas to choose from, and the staff were polite and helpful. Will definitely be back again.

We did not have a meal, but I love the table cloths. The garden is fantastic! Specially this time of year.

It's always good to have a hot coffee and a few delicious scones here, especially when it's cold outside. Watching the beautiful wild scenery through the window adds to the good company!

Oh my goodness, what an absolute hidden GEM! If you live near Cronulla, get yourself to the Teahouse. The food was great, a selection of sandwiches, some lovely sweet treats followed by a super fluffy, delicious scone. The tea selection was fab, I got the Persian Apple, loved it. It's BYO for no extra charge if you do fancy bringing some bubbles. But the most amazing part for me was the staff. They were unbelievable, nothing was too much, they were so so friendly and accommodating. Just a really lovely experience.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Had options for Coeliacs including gluten free scones. Atmosphere

The coffee was absolutely THE BEST. This place is gorgeous but umm the cakes are a disgrace. No matter how nice the coffee, staff and atmosphere is.. the cakes were awful. Dry, as if been in and out of the freezer. Carrot cake was dry, not sweet at all and the cream was like a firm block of milk on top. Shame. Maybe this place is just for scones, sandwiches and beverages, since they looked nice and soft. But I'm not a scone eater haha.

Having a tea house within Camellia Garden is genius. They serve high tea and also light meals here. The tea menu is extensive and so interesting 🫖💓 Service is also friendly and down to earth. A must try if you’re visiting the gardens.

Lovely venue and helpful, attentive team who helped to make our high tea event a success. The food was lovely, particularly the macarons and the generously-sized scones. Big thanks to Jade and Taylor who helped with the booking and pre-event coordination, and Abby who was a star on the day.

Best scone in the Shire

My daughter & her husband were married in the gardens & afterwards went to the teahouse to celebrate. The food was amazing & I can't speak highly enough of how wonderful the staff were. Everyone went out of their way to ensure it was a perfect occasion & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much! I can't recommend the Jade Teahouse highly enough!

Gorgeous place to eat when visiting Camellia Gardens. Draw-backs are high prices and always full!

A lovely spot in the gardens to unwind and have delicious food. They have updated their menu to have an extensive gluten free range, including gf scones!! The ladies there are so lovely, the service makes the experience pleasant and warm. Highly recommend this place.

A worthwhile spur of the moment decision to drop in for a morning coffee. I had not been to the teahouse for more than 10:years.A tranquil atmosphere surrounded by greenery and a refreshing light breeze on the balcony was ideal and my cappuccino was perfect. To top it off the staff were lovely, accommodating and very helpful! I will definitely return to try some of the organic varieties of teas and delicious cakes.

This Teahouse is inside Camellia Garden. Very peaceful lovely tea house surrounded by a lot a green from Camellia Garden. I bought a book named “Mrs. Cook” about Captain Cook wife’s life. From the book I knew that Camelia Garden is a place to honour Mrs. Cook. I decided to visit the Garden. Before that I did some research and knew about this Teahouse. I was satisfied with lunch and time I had at the Teahouse.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR KIDS HIGH TEA PARTY Over charged with food, nothing else is included aside from the juice and the middle aged lady wearing black glasses could be the owner or waitress asked me more than 5 times if we’re taking the food home. Obviously we’re not even halfway with our coffee and food still barely touched. Let us finish the food we paid for. It was booked for kids high tea and expectedly they will make noise and run around our table which was not much room to even get up. DONOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID, SPEND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Lovely grounds and surrounds. Food a little disappointing and tea was bitter and burnt. Bit odd for a tea house not to understand that green tea shouldn’t be steeped in boiling water.

Excellent staff and service esp Chrissy. The grounds are beautiful.

I’m surprised not many people know about this place. It’s delightful, the view, the teas, the scones platter. I’ve been back a few times now and always have a great time. I love feeding the ducks too haha

Please wait to be seated... can't wait to leave. Not a great dining experience. Service was prompt and we got a table. Bottom of the quality scale for food. Falafel was a squashed rock hard flatbread with mush inside. Salad was a couple of leaves with dressing. The Sourdough Ham was slightly better. Caramel Milkshake was just milk and a glob of “caramel”-like flavour. You are asking questions as an online response instead of contacting staff who worked on Saturday to check ? Of Course i provided feedback. Why would i ask for another drink and food and likely get the same poor quality. Especially after hearing another lady on the table next to us complain. We cut our losses and left, so much so that it’s a place we have no intention of visiting again. … Seriously underwhelming, a table near us asked where the rest of the salad was it was a bowl of half attempted salad. We were here on it’s last days with previous owner and even back then it wasnt fantastic. The setting is nice, wont be back.

We celebrated a friend's 80th birthday with high tea.

Fresh made Berry muffin was stodgy and next to no berries in it. They gave me a replacement one with some Berry compote on side. I did pour it on muffin and this made it edible.

Charming tea house nestled in the tranquil settings of the E G Waterhouse Camellia Gardens, friendly and polite service on a busy Sunday afternoon. Food service is plentiful, recommend you book a table whether it be for High Tea or off the menu.

Coffee was great but there was quite a lag of time of 10mins when my coffee came out verse when my banana bread arrived. Banana bread was average. Will come again and try something different cause it’s situated in a beautiful spot. Feel like the place needs a re-vamp or a refresher of decor but overall was okay

A really pretty place with a view of the gardens. Perfect place to sit and enjoy Tea (or coffee) and a snack. Scones are a local favourite. My group would have liked more lunch options. The Camellia gardens are beautiful right now and a lovely walk, accessible for little kids and older people.

Held my baby shower there over the weekend, with exclusive function hire of the balcony space. We had the high tea which was generous and delicious. The location is stunning and it was complimented by the beautiful service offered by the staff! Would recommend for any intimate gathering!

Lovely service and delicous scones. They are no longer stingy with the jam and cream, 5 stars!

Such a quaint and enchanting tea house. From the moment you enter you are greeted with a visual display of otherworldly tea cups and charm of yesteryear. The food is delicious and their specialty whole leaf teas will delight you. The setting in the Camelia gardens gives you the opportunity to wander along tree lined pathways with displays of flowering Camellia depending on the season, ducks and running streams. The perfect location to unwind and relax after a heavy week. Highly recommend you book a table with your friends as this place is very popular. I was there in April during the flowering season.

Had a wonderful high tea this morning. Beautiful setting. Traditional high tea. Great tea selection and lovely service. Will be returning!

Nice tea settings. Set at the top of the gardens. Good scones. Nice food. Friendly staff.

High tea is a must.

Such a gorgeous spot. I love that there’s two playgrounds to for kids. There’s ample seating outside near the play area too. Food is good, a little pricey, but worth it as part of the whole experience. I’d love it if the Devonshire tea was served with strawberry jam. It was maybe a rhubarb jam I got given. The teahouse has a lovely vibe, and very pretty set up. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Will be back.

Limited food options but a great pot of tea. Gorgeous park to explore and sit to relax in

Lovely little spot for high tea. The savoury and sweet items were delicious. Service was wonderful as well, nice friendly girls. The only let down were the scones. We had the original but it really wasn't like a proper scone, quite bland. We will be back because we had a great time.

Found this great place while exploring the nearby cafes. Super friendly staffs, great atmosphere, and superb setting in the garden. Really a nice place to start the day.

We Love High Tea Services Thank You So Much For Cup A Tea And The Slice Of Cake

Great spot for catching up with friends over morning tea or lunch. Gorgeous garden setting.

Coffee is so so but atmosphere and service is amazing.

We had the high tea on 20 February. Arrived earlier than our booked time but the table was ready, set with pretty crockery. Service was good, food was excellent and varied. The one let down, otherwise I would have given 5 stars, was the scones which we all agreed were very doughy and not light. We could not finish all the various delights and asked for and were given boxes to take the leftovers home. I will certainly return and can recommend the high tea unreservedly.

Fabulous service! Nice scones - passionfruit curd & berry compote are must try.

Great coffee & scones..as always.

Great place for a light lunch. Friendly staff. Lovely gardens

Opening hours don't match. Some pretty disappointed kids.

Located in Caringbah and overlooking beautiful Yowie Bay, the EG Waterhouse Camellia Gardens is a favorite spot for visitors and locals alike. It's a quiet, peaceful place with a cafeteria, tucked away right in front of you from Sutherland hospital road to president street.

We had a 60th Anniversary here & they were so helpful. Food & service fabulous!! Highly recommended 👍

Beautiful location. Food and drinks are not the best, though.

We had a nice morning at The Teahouse Camelia Gardens. Friendly staff and the food was great. Our High Tea was amazing. Thank you. We'll definitely be back.

Fabulous celebration High Tea, friendly accommodating service. All dietary restrictions were well catered for and very flexible. Lovely table setting and view. Highly recommended.

Jade and her amazing team run a very well organised high tea. Highly experienced. Jade mixes her own blends of refreshing tea’s and makes all her jam’s in-house with seasonal fruits. I held my daughters Bridal shower here because it is such a serene place And worth mentioning that it is also Heritage listed. Jade was very accommodating And took the time to attend to our needs, so did all the girls trained by her who were polite and professional at all times. The Garden is beautiful with lovely walks and a great place to have your pre-wedding photos taken by the lake . My guests were impressed and after the high tea most of them went out for a walk in the park which also has an area with a children’s playground for young mothers . I highly recommend Jade’s Tea house And am sure they will be seeing lots of me and my loved ones in the future .

Good service, food was tasty, BYO alcohol option. Had the high tea at the teahouse. We arrived at our allocated time and our table was still being set up. The gardens was a pretty location so didn't mind the wait as we looked at the plants. There was no rush us to leave after we overstayed our allocated time. We only had 1 water jug for our party of 6. One water jug was not near enough to fill 6 small tumblers of water. Would be better if there was enough table water for the party. I didn't mind because I don't drink table tap water, but still wasn't enough water for the people who may want to drink the water. The food was presented well, and tasty. The soft drinks were served differently amongst our party. One person in the party received a can with their soft drink in a glass. Another person in the party only received a glass of soft drink. The size of the glass held half of the soft drink in a can. The quantity of soft drink wasn't the same. Would be better if there was a standard for serving drinks.

Amazing cafe! Friendly staff! And a great place to be out with family and friends

If you are a fan of being completely ignored this is the place for you

We had a great time at this place. Food was tasty and not overpriced. It’s very family friendly with two playgrounds and a large garden to entertain kids. Parents can seat outside while kids play in the playground. We loved the experience in the garden with various birds. Staff from the tea house was very kind and friendly. Thank you!

The Jade Teahouse is a wonderful place for relaxing. You can enjoy the delicious meal while setting in the flowered garden.

Love this little hidden gem! It's so peaceful and serene. The staff are always so lovely and the food is delicious too.

Beautiful Iocation, book ahead as its small, but plenty of places in the garden to enjoy a takeaway. We dined in, friendly staff, great coffee and I purchased a delicious tea to bring home. Camellia Gardens are beautiful. Will visit again.

Really lovely place. Nice food and special drinks. Great service.

Lovely little teahouse in Camelia Gardens. Almost all items (including full high tea - scones, cakes, tarts and sandwiches) can be made gluten free. Yummy food and nice atmosphere. Can get crowded on weekends.

I visited at 1pm for lunch with 2 children. I do reviews online and I’m disappointed I’ve had to post negative reviews. I asked for colouring in stuff for my guests who are both 11. They made me wait 45 minutes for something they were printing. I couldn’t leave a tip. The food was very average. I’m sad to report that I feel we were judged on our appearance and were treated like trash. What a shame you’ve done this to a professional reviewer. Sorry I’ve rated you as 2 stars. The lovely girl that served us seemed panicked. The lady with dark hair that took the payment was lovely. The lady with the blonde hair was not very nicely mannered. I hope you can improve the experience for others. That’s my main goal as a reviewer. The tea house has a history of excellent chips and that’s gone, no more chips. My scone was lovely. It’s in the Camelia gardens, surely 1 staff member can get fresh flowers from the gardens occasionally. The fake flowers on the table were terrible. Please note that nobody requests reviews from my business, reviews are delivered as incognito diners.
