We enjoy eating at Red Pepper including Korean fried chicken

Such a great local gem! The fried chicken is absolutely to die for—especially the dalcorn dalcorn. It’s one of those places you keep coming back to because it just delivers every time. I’ve never explored upstairs or outside because, honestly, why leave the fried chicken?

Nice few football, tennis pitches with change rooms, bathrooms. Also a Korean restaurant surrounds. Nice big pitch but costs quite a bit bringing it down to a 4.3. Nonetheless a great area there and i would be inclined to recommend it.

Courts are clean and well taken care of. Futsal courts are outdoors so think twice before playing in summer arvo 👍

I tried to reserve a table for dinner on the website, but was advised that they were not taking reservations, but welcomed walk ins. Upon arrival i was asked if I had a reservation, and when I said no I had tried, I was advised that as they were so busy we had to be seated outside. OK we got a table, but no air conditioning, right next to the children's play area. So it was hot and our evening punctuated by high pitched squeals of over excited children. We could hardly hear each other talking. Luckily most of the food was extremely tasty although the fried chicken desperately needed sauces because it was so dry. Best pick of the food we selected was the Stir fried spicy pork. Excellent. I would possibly return for the food, but definitely on a quiet night. The back ground noise and heat were very oppressive and unpleasant.

Jalapeno Chicken is a must ;) 28-MAY-2024 Update 1 Star Not sure what happened to this place, I frequent this establishment at least once month on average and in some cases even multiple times a week. Tonight I ordered an old favourite 'Spicy Pork Spare Rib Hotpot' and used ClevaQ, what came out instead was 'Spicy Pork Bone Hotpot' which although sounding similar is a totally different dish. We pointed it out to the waiter and said they must have confused our order. He said no that is the dish ordered. I said look we come here often and we know what it is supposed to look like, you can even see from the picture on the menu it is the wrong one. He said no there is no mistake this is the right one. Please just eat it and if it is the wrong one come back later in the week and we will serve you one that looks more like the picture. I said have you changed chef's or management as I know what the dish looks like, I have been dining here for many years. He said I have been working here for 4 years and that is the correct dish. My Mate then said he will order and pay for another set of both items on the menu simply to compare and prove it to him. He said it will still be the same thing. Honestly can't believe how terrible the service and quality of food has gotten in the month I have been overseas/since my last visit. Hoping the Management of the Strathfield Sports Club can clear this up as I got absolutely nowhere 20-JUL-24 Have been back 3 times since and it seems this incident is isolated to the one waiter in question. All other waiters and one waitress have been great as usual.

Bad experience with tennis management

Food here is great, has many options and seating is diverse. The tennis courts are well maintained and it's also a great place to hang out. Lots of parking spots and sign-in as a member is quick and facile.

Terrible experience ever i had. No staffs at so called BAR to attend the patrons. Also service was harsh and hard to understand. Everyone was on a break during service hour maybe😂😂. What a waste of money. Lol

A great spot to get good Korean food and drink. Prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is great. The wait staff are also very efficient and professional. The place is kept very tidy and tables are cleaned up almost immediately. They have a lot of vegetarian options to choose from too. I love the spice levels on offer. The spicy tofu hotpot and japchae are always my regular. But the seafood pancake, squid bibimbap and tteokbokki are also my other faves.

The food remains as good as it was two years ago. Fast service. If you have their fried Korean chicken, you would NEVER buy Kentucky Fried again. The club is a gem in strathfield.

Booked a court online with confirmation and when we showed up they said they were fully booked out. The reason we were provided is that we didn’t pay beforehand, but we were never directed to do so.

Food was great and staff was kind. There is enough parking spaces which you don't need to worry limit time of parking. After having meal you can move to the cafe to spend time talking. It is very pleasant place to visit.

Delicious Korean food at the Red Pepper Bistro. We ordered the fried chicken, potato noodles and dumplings. Yummy. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Free parking on site, though it gets full quickly on weekends.

Nice sports Club, small but has nice restaurant and bar. The best part is Free parking for visitors.

Plenty of decent tennis courts to hire and staff are friendly and professional.

The food was superb. Good portions, wide range of choices and the chef was absolutely amazing. My daughter has a long list of allergies to a wide range of foods and the chef custom made a whole dish for her! We have never had anyone offer to do that before. They were very accommodating to ensure she she had a meal. We will definately be back!

Delicious Korean food. Good price and quick service. Huge serves. Cheap drinks are a bonus!! 😜 Shame they can’t clean the tables even after we finished our meal 2 hours ago 😩

People are snobs here who play tennis none of you are any Roger Federer or Serena Williams

Not well planned social tennis, too many people shared between two courts, 15 people rotating between two courts as all the other courts were booked out. Found some of the social members very unfriendly, tried picking up a friendly conversation with some of them but they wouldn’t respond, especially an Asian lady would laugh and walk away joining the other court. Very unpleasant experience, wouldn’t ever go back here.

The food was great, the staffs at the resto also friendly. However, I might say as someone that is not a member of this sport club, entering this place not really worth the effort of the admin stuffs (anddd even my friend need to prove her residential address here, and we’re not allowed to wear cap/hat inside). But still worth to try but will not visit this place again anytime soon.

Worst experience ever… the receptionist ( tall and blonde) had such bad attitude and was soo condescending. They wouldn’t accept ID as pictures on my phone, which I understand but she was saying it as if we all should have service NSW driver license.. I said my parents are from overseas and don’t have that… we feel discriminated and would never come back if they are like this… warning to travellers! You will need AUS license or you will be discriminated!!

Despite the bustling atmosphere, the popularity of the venue was evident, with every seat occupied. Even arriving at 4 pm didn't guarantee immediate access, as a queue of 15 people awaited entry. Our culinary adventure began with the Korean fried chicken, a true standout. The delectable dish left us savoring each bite, and the Jalapeno dipping sauce added an extra layer of flavor. Remarkably, the chicken was so flavorful that it could stand on its own without the sauce. For those seeking a lighter option, the cold noodles proved to be a perfect choice, especially on such a warm day. Our Korean friend, a connoisseur of such dishes, praised the broth, noting its authenticity and reminiscing about her childhood when her mother would prepare a similar soup weekly. The seafood pancake added another dimension to our culinary journey, boasting a distinct flavor that further enriched our dining experience. In summary, our late lunch/early dinner at Strathfield Sports Club was a delightful affair, leaving us pleasantly full and eager to return.
