Each dish we tried was just divine! We had the Yamba prawns, lamb backstrap, pomme, coconut chicken breast and the mandarin dessert… all to die for! Service was top notch as well, what more could you ask for? 😍

we went to the adjoined 'Nelson's Cafe' today and the food was delightful. eggs benedict with a good amount of hollandaise and a generous amount of smoked salmon. bacon burger was great and eggs, chorizo and avo cooked to perfection. the ambience was wonderful and comfortable and the service was good too. prices are quite fair, we would definitely recommend!

Rude manager serving us friday afternoon 1st Nov 4.30pm. We sat down in the dining section. He came and without saying a great deal, just put the Reserve sign on the table. Made us feel pretty shid honestly. We go there usually in the morning and the food and service is impeccable. Afternoon? Absolutely not!

Good food at reasonable prices

You got to go on a Thursday night and try the burger and chips. The burger is massive and staff are friendly. The area is polite they support the Concord Giants. So good on them

Coro88 is well worth a visit. The meals are affordable and the menu is extensive. The atmosphere is very relaxed and soothing and would be great for discussions or meeting with friends and family. Extremely clean and well appointed, you can also sit down for a relaxing drink or a coffee.

The best ever

For the price I paid, the food was so disappointing. I ordered the Wagyu sando and Kingfish cutlet, and it’s safe to say if you come here please just save your money and avoid ordering these dishes. The meat quality of the wagyu sando was not wagyu level - if it was, they used the lowest grade they could find because the meat was so sinewy and I couldn’t even bite or easily cut through it fully (this could be because the cut was so thick but even so, the meat was just bad). I usually love my steaks rare but the meat was beyond rare edging into blue territory, and so tasteless I couldn’t finish my dish. The photos truly don’t show just how red and undercooked the inside of this steak was. For $37 you get half a plate of chips and bloody, undercooked, low-quality steak. As a wagyu lover I’ve never eaten a more disappointing steak. The kingfish cutlet was very mediocre. It was mostly bone with barely any meat. I also found that the pickled daikon and watermelon also didn’t really go that well with the fish? I was excited for this dish but it just fell so short. For $20 I got about 3 or 4 mouthfuls of fish. Again this is maybe because the cutlet they used just had more bone, but I’m still very disappointed with the lack of quality. The presentation for both dishes was about the only good thing, I liked nothing else about either of them. Honestly I wouldn’t recommend eating here at all considering I paid $57 for two dishes. I came with a group and I heard mixed feelings about the food, with some dishes being quite nice while others were just not worth ordering. My advice is save your money and go somewhere with consistent quality of food that is worth what you pay.

Great value food at a modern-style pub. Yuzu kingfish and seafood kataifi were light and fragrant. Chicken Schnitzel was delicious; thin batter and juicy chicken. 500g aged steak was tender and affordable too. Very solid pub-style food 👌 Staff were also very polite and accomodating.

We wouldn't have gone if we had known. Waste of money 💰 Over priced pub grub First off, not the warmest greeting 😆 ... (3 young staff members stood around talking to each other) but our waiter was nice & polite. The Scallops were not seared well at all, and the dish was quite bland.. not at all as tasty as you would expect... i love seared Scallops, you know that crispy part when its done right & in my opinion which is the best part! So was quite disappointing. And so based on that I wouldn't go back, as that's what we went for.... literally googled scallops! As for the rest Average sweet potatoe fries. From frozen to the fryer.... The dip was yuck....cheap mayonnaise! Mixed in the same pot as the sweet Chili, so was hard to just get to the sweet chilli part without tasting it. Extras on side.... prawns & chicken... average... OK...nothing spectacular The Squid was frozen to the fryer ... so again...very average. Ambience was quite dull Music ...out of place. So considering this wasn't the cheapest restauran and the decor was more above average, you would expect much better quality food cooked well, and that's not at all what we experienced. Not one staff member asked how the meal was, not even at the end when we paid. The young woman bearly looked up at us, and said 'cash or card' nothing more... Their staff need some 'people skills' training No we wouldn't go back.

Friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonable price.

Pleasantly surprised with how good the roast cauliflower salad is. The frissé leaves are crunchy and have a beautiful subtle butter after taste. The service is quite prompt, and the place newly refurbished.

Come here for their weekly specials. Especially their $15 parma. The place has a surprisingly nice and well decorated atmosphere. There is an open kitchen and soft comfortable chairs and benches. The food is well presented and good value if you get their weekly specials. Minor gripe: Membership is required to enter. $5 for one year. Signed up during June and oddly, they only gave us membership until 31 Dec. The lady who signed us up was apologetic but said that the way this oddity works. It's still worth tolerating this oddity since this place is worth multiple visits.

This place is a hidden gem! The best food at a club I’ve had by far. Great menu, food was delicious. Really good service and a great cocktail menu.

Very impressed with the steak special on Mondays at this club. Only found Coro 88 recently when in Burwood. Greeter was pleasant and helpful and selected our table for lunch. There is a coffee shop attached to the club, can also be accessed directly from the street. A bonus is the club has its own carpark.

Great food!

This newly built club is nothing like the original which I’d been a member of since the 90s. Not as welcoming and comfortable I’m afraid, plus the drink prices are off the wall! For a view of burwood Rd! I don’t Mind paying $10 for a small wine in a waterfront venue, but not in a suburb with plenty of competition with clubs and pubs. Sorry! No fault with the staff, and good reports about the food, but basic prices have to fit the venue and be fair! That way you get more customers?? Basic business.

Went for dinner last night. The food was still as good as the last few times we went which four stars or above should be given. However, the service of staff was terribly bad this time while last few times were good. The waiter didn’t do all the basic work with a very bad manner. They never cleaned the table properly(we cleaned for them), never set the table and didn’t give any fork and knife as well as water until we asked (but you could see you were not welcomed from his face) even though the food was already put on the table. We believed they had more than enough time to do all above basic work since they had lots of time to even talk about and laugh at you behind you where you could see them. They Ignored you when you said thank you and left the restaurant.

A hidden gem only moments away from Westfield Burwood offering elevated bistro food at affordable prices. With a special promotion towards their food every day and membership pricing, Coro 88 is the place to eat with friends, family or date night with your significant other. We had the lamb back strap and katsu wagyu sandwich. Coro uses premium meat and ingredients that you can taste with every bite. Only thing I would mention to improve is the service, our waitress forgot to both provide our drinks when asked twice and discount our total cost of dinner as we became members. Nevertheless, a great first time there with many more to come.

I’ve been frequenting this establishment every week for over a year! Coro88 is my go-to lunch spot with the boys and occasional dinners with the Missus. Mark and the team make every visit a pleasant experience with their friendly service and consistently delicious food! The specials here are seriously underrated. I am yet to order a dish I dislike.

After a 40 min wait (and only one other table to serve before us in the restaurant) the wagyu katsu sando looked like this, with the breading literally not even stuck to the steak. Not much else to say. Took one bite and had to send it back. The meat itself was also average at best.

Held small function here to celebrate 90th birthday. Staff were friendly and professional; very attentive service including helping with birthday cake. Nice menu choices. All meals delicious, nicely presented and brought to the table at the same time - no one had to wait. Venue is modern, clean and tidy. Would definitely visit again.

Great service and food

Staff are ultra friendly and helpful. Dinner was nicely cooked and tasty. We ordered a few oysters to start I had the Saffron Risotto and added some prawns. Yum! If you become a member you get 5 percent off your food and drinks. Cocktail special of the night was $10. It was called 'Lemon Drop' . Other cocktails were average $18, so $10 was a great deal.

A medium sized dining area tucked away in the back. Can get noisy. Service excellent. Food price a bit pricey. Rib beef popular on the menu. However, friends found it tough the day I visited. I had fish and chips. Serving are generous.

Pretty sweet steak place in the middle of Burwood. It seemed like it was a renovated pub with a restaurant attached at the back of it. It had pokies, a bar and lounge and the restaurant. Food was really good and the service was great, too. We had the ribeye on the bone. It was cooked to perfection. Finished up on with a creme brulee. Will definitely be back, soon!

It’s not everyday one gets blown away by a salad…and so I find myself writing this review. This place was an unexpected find. The waiter was friendly and attentive and my drink arrived very promptly indeed. The quinoa and pumpkin salad had delicious roasted pumpkin caramelised to perfection. The salad was a work of art, tossed to perfection with a hidden dressing. I walked away still thinking about the salad and what surprise I’d found. Will be back for sure to try more of the menu…maybe you could add more vegetarian options? ;-)

Missing the old coronation club kitchen. Coro 88 has a carefully thought out menu, but the quality was poor. Ribs were still still cold at the bone, and rib meat was dry and tough. Snapper did not taste fresh, meat was dull and dry. Service on the other hand was excellent and accomodating.

What an unsuspecting gem! I can't speak for the rest of the fam (ribs and kids meals) but this steak was cooked on the hibachi to perfection! Amazing value at least than $70 too! Friendly staff and plenty of seating. Will definitely come back.

Food and parking good. The restaurant can become very noisy. Some of the cafe staff need to be trained in appropriate customer/ service and behaviour. Perhaps management could watch the cameras and see what is actually going on. Staff were more interested in chatting with friends than serving customers.

I had lunch at coro 88 today (5/8/23) I have ordered egg benedict,for $18.00 I have asked her if I don’t get poached eggs and bacon from menu can I swap it with something else like roasted vegetables,she said that would be extra charge,i said then don’t worry about that can i instead of eggs and bacon get halloumi and avocado,she didn’t mentioned there will be extra charge,at the time i was paying my bill I have realised she charged $8.00 for halloumi and avocado,i told her you’re literally charged me $18.00 for only toast and grilled tomato as I didn’t have any eggs and bacon still charging extra for the rest ,she said no halloumi is expensiver than eggs,where as still she shouldn’t charge $8.00 as I didn’t have any bacon and eggs from my original food menu They are so un fair as they don’t explain at front there is extra charges also over charging unfairly i’m not recommending their customer service and their manner at all and keep telling whoever i come across about my bad experience

Relaxing vibe. A Senior's luncheon for us and celebrating our friend's 🎂 The Special of the Day was Lobster 🦞 good on a budget too.💲 Loved my Apple/Rhubarb desert. The main menu looks extensive and interesting, with some twists on popular bistro dishes. We will be back to taste more of these delicious meals. Handy to Burwood train station and Westfield.
