Excellent

Recently sent my GPU for RMA. They had fully processed and sent me a replacement within 48hrs of when they received it. Great experience and seamless.

The staff are very nice. However, I had to change my collection point to Silverwater as they were not able to transfer it to Macquarie Park over a 2 week period. I would have had it delivered from another business if I had known that was the case.

Not happy about the 50 series launch. I understand it's not their fault in receiving low stock but the way they went about it rubbed me wrong. I had about 6 websites open, ready to order at 1am. Saw scorptec launched first and I purchased a 5080 for the preorder date of 4/2. I'm going to guess i could have been 1 of the first 50 to order this particular card before it was marked as sold out. I thought I secured a card because their sale went live early. That date comes and I receive an email saying they've cancelled the order. Like, excuse me? I should be the one who decides whether I'll wait or cancel. I'm not in a rush to get a card like a bunch of others. Such a waste of time. I could have gotten a card from another store.

My son had a disappointing experience when buying a gpu from Scorptec as they sold more than they had available.

I ordered a gpu from Scorptec and paid the full amount. I even got a confirmation email but when I called them to check when I can pick it up they said that more units were sold than they had available. This resulted in every other gpu being sold out when I HAD to call them. They even did not give me any compensation for the error that was caused by Scorptec. Horrible!

HORRIBLE RETURN PROCESS – NEVER BUYING AGAIN I had a faulty TP-Link AP, which had an issue where the SSID constantly dropped out. I called Scorptec, and they told me I needed to reach out to TP-Link to get a case number. Once I had the case number, I could bring it in-store and swap it. After a week of troubleshooting with TP-Link, I received the case number and went to the store to confirm if I could swap the Access Point, since I had the case number. The store associate told me no, and that they would need to send it back. I’d have to wait two weeks for them to test the item, even though I had already done that with TP-Link. I reached out to TP-Link, explained the full situation, and after performing additional troubleshooting, we confirmed the AP was faulty. TP-Link emailed me a case number (RA) and authorized me to take it back to the store for a swap. Since I had the case number, I called Scorptec and spoke with Sharron, who told me I couldn’t swap it in-store yet because the case number needed to be validated. I asked how to do this, and the instructions were that I needed to provide the case number via the Scorptec portal, which would initiate the validation process. They also mentioned it should take 48 hours to validate, and once validated, I could go to the store to return the AP. I was happy with this response, as it seemed like part of the process. After two days, I received an email from the same RA number saying I needed to bring the item in to start the warranty claim process. On the same day, I went to the store and explained the situation to the same assistant. I was told that the validation had started, but now I was being asked to bring the AP back to the store. The store assistant told me I still needed to send the AP back for validation. LIE 1: Even though Shannon and the store assistant work in the same store, one is saying they can validate the case online, and I can bring it in to swap, while the other is saying I have to send it back. LIE 2: When the original RA (226040) email asked me to bring the item back, I replied asking for clarification as to why no validation had been completed after two days, and why I was being asked to bring the AP back to the store. After an additional two days, they finally started the validation process. LOL. LIE 3: After explaining that TP-Link had already authorized a swap, and that the AP was end-of-life (meaning Scorptec would need to credit me anyway), the store assistant told me I could swap it for something else. I placed the order, but one of the items was out of stock. I was told to come back when the entire order was available in-store. When I went to the store, they said the process may allow for a return, but they told me they needed a credit note for the swap and would have to send the AP back. I was so frustrated and felt completely lied to. I canceled my order and left the AP there. My problem is that every time I called OR went in, they could have been clear and told me upfront that I needed to return the item, and that was the only way it would work. I don’t understand why they made me go through so many steps and made me wait so long, only to end up sending the item back and making me wait even more. NEVER BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN, AND I RECOMMEND YOU GO WITH A STORE THAT HAS A BETTER RETURN PROCESS AND DOES NOT LIE.

Amazing service from William! He was so kind to figure out what I missed when I built my pc!! Thank you so much!!

Everyone here is awesome, although my order is delayed due to logistics, they still provide good service! I’ll rate 10/5, these are extra five stars.

I had a product arrive with a fault and the team at Scorptec could not have been more helpful with dealing with the issue. I arrived at the store, had the product tested and was out of the store with a brand new replacement within ~15 minutes. Whilst waiting for the testing to be completed, the staff were great to chat to and were very knowledgeable about all the products I was interested in. I couldn't be happier with the quality of service given by the staff at Macquarie Park!

Having issues with my computer, helped to diagnose the issue on the spot and also helped get my fans working for no cost as it was pretty simple for him. Much appreciated.

Tried to sell my mum a $1k mesh system knowing she was asking about a modem, wouldn't give clear answers on how the system worked. Both staff were either clueless or were just actively trying to rip someone off. Glad I sat in on the nonsense to catch it before they ripped her off. @Jarrod if you wanna leave me a phone number I'd be more than happy to detail the experience for you, cheers

Contacted SCORPTEC Macquarie Park, spoke with Justin. Justin was able to answer a lot of my questions and provide excellent customer service. They went above and beyond helping me choose the right RAM for a CPU I bought and was unsure about. Thanks again Justin!

Helpful customer service and good products.

I walked into Scorptec on a Monday morning after placing a click and collect order over the weekend. William made sure to have everything in order and went above and beyond to help me swap out a few products while offering excellent advice. I now have everything setup and in order. I'd like to thank William for his excellent service, I look forward to returning soon.

Good prices, service.

Pre-ordered stuff online (as you need to) and collected in person. Emails confirmed order was ready for pick-up. Staff were quick to find order and give it to me.

Hayden is an absolute legend, beyond helpful. Great advice and knowledge. Highly recommend dropping by for any PC needs.

Went into the store yesterday with my PC. The technician Jacob was extremely helpful and provided great advice. Assisted with the installation of the parts. Highly recommend and will be coming back in the future if buying more PC parts.

Friendly staff, easy to pick up computer parts.

Always has less item then silver water store. You are on quick assisble from main road please store more parts then Silverwater so easy to shop and pickup. Only things delivery from overall store are terrible. Need to improve on that line. One order make take 1-2 weeks to arrive where as other competitors arrive in 2-3 days

Thats very unprofessional SCORPTEC.Rang them 2 times and same reponse which was that I ordered on the weekend and they dont send orders on weekends.Fair enough but then- Took 6 days to finally send my order of solid state drives. Ordered on Saturday and now its Friday and still not recieved my order . One week to pick and send 6 ssds. WHY? .Just lost a customer

Disappointing as show room is “temporarily unavailable”. I also called in about 2 months ago and the showroom also temporarily unavailable then. So you can’t browse in this store. Just order and collect

First of all, I want to thank the reception staff. The two people I dealt with were pleasant, and my complaint is not about them. I came in on Tuesday morning at 9.30 am to drop off my computer, which I had purchased at this same location, for a deep cleaning (dust removal). I was informed that it would take 1-2 days to complete, and that I would receive a phone call once it was ready for collection. By Thursday, having heard nothing, I decided to call them. Unable to reach the Macquarie Park shop directly, I was transferred to their headquarters, where the person I spoke to couldn't determine whether my computer was ready. They promised to call me back and send a text message with the ETA within the next hour. As of now, I am still waiting for that call. On Friday, after unsuccessfully attempting to call them again, I went to the store directly. I was told that nothing had been done with my computer. Frustrated, I took my computer back and decided to go to a place that honours their service timelines. I had to reorganise my work due to waiting for my computer to be ready. This is a disgrace. If I had received a call updating me on the ETA, I wouldn't be as upset with the poor service I received.

Quick service, friendly and helpful customer service..James at the desk was great.

They had the goods I wanted at an excellent price. Service queue was a bit long so if you ring to check stock availability it would also pay to check if they are busy?

Outstanding Service and Excellent Product Range I've been a customer of Scorptec for several years now, and they never cease to impress me with their exceptional service and extensive product selection. Whether I'm looking for the latest graphics card, peripherals, or even advice on building a new PC, Scorptec has always delivered.

Employees were extremely helpful and computer components worked well.

Conveniently located on the North Shore, prices are great as are stock levels

It's a place I go to cause it's convenient parking and they got everything. They also have the good stuff in those competitive businesses. I would recommend them.

It's great to have a high quality computer store in this part of Sydney, without having to travel further west each time I need to buy parts. They have lots of common and odd cables available, startech brands, hard drive docks, fans, aio watercooling, 10 Gb network cards, pcie addin cards, rgb products, NVMe and sata3 Samsung SSDs, EoP powerline adapters, intel and ryzen cpus in stock, predator monitors and lots of big brand gaming peripherals in stock in their shop, as well as offering a proper online shopping experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely returning in future. It is located in the same block as where Harris Technology used to be, just past the huge giraffe. Easy parking onsite, but there is a chunky medium strip so you can only enter the driveway by coming from Epping road direction.

not much stock go to silverwater location instead

Easy to park and collect on line orders

The GOAT of computer stores. Unbelievable service from both Aiden and William, never met workers better at their job. I got a book.

Excellent gaming PC and customer service

Staff already fairly disengaged from a customer service point of view Having twitch streams open on a work computer doesn't seem particularly conducive to a productive work environment

The staff are great and knowledgeable, however, the business owners policies makes the experience unpleasant. They won't accept cash and charge you on all forms of transactions except for bank transfer which I'm not sure if it's available, regardless, don't expect your customer to make a bank transfer in the store. When an item does not perform as expected or is faulty the return process is extremely painful and comes at a cost which I'm sure is not legal if you check the law with fair trading. And of course no price matching. I leave 2 stars only for the staff, and take away 3 stars for the business owners policy making decision.

The WORST customer service in the industry, simply NOT worth the risk. If anything goes wrong, youll be glad you DIDN'T buy from Scorptec. I've been a customer for over a decade. After seeing how disgraceful and dishonest they have treated my friend who purchased a faulty graphics card and then got a faulty replacement under warranty. Now they claim that the 9 month old faulty replacement is out of warranty and there is nothing they can do. I will NEVER recommend or buy anything from Scorptec again.

BUYERS BEWARE, I'M NEVER BUYING FROM SCORPTEC AGAIN!! They don't care about their customers and are fine with selling faulty products and leaving their customers holding the loss. Absolutely terrible customer service and they have zero integrity. I bought a 3080 GPU from Scorptec back in 2020 for $1380. Came with a 3 year warranty which was good considering the GPU became faulty 29 months in. After 6 weeks of them testing the product they confirmed it was faulty and gave me a brand new replacement. I enquired about the warranty of this new product expecting it to have another 3 years. I was wrong. They said the NEW PRODUCT comes under the same warranty so was only covered for 5 months but I was told if I have an issue with it to bring it back and they will see what they can do. The new GPU died after 9 months. After they confirmed this and sent it to assessed, the manufacturer denied to do anything and so did Scorptec. I'm in talks with the ACCC currently and am very close to going to NSW Fair trade with this case and what ever I need to do to get my money back. Needless to say I am never taking the risk of buying another product from Scorptec again and I would caution anyone to rethink their options.

Don't buy a work machine from here. It takes 1 month for a resolution every time there's an issue with it that requires service/warranty. In the 2 years since I bought an ASUS laptop from here for my job, it's had 3 issues that required me to take it back to them during business hours, 1 month to get a resolution, and it was replaced twice. This is an exteremely tedious inconvenience to deal with, and they just don't seem to care. These guys are knowledgeable and their prices are competitive so I'll give them 1 extra star for that. If you're buying gaming gear that won't impact your day to day work, I don't see an issue with them.

Love the prices and products on offer. Order through them multiple times. The last order tho the address incorrect somehow by 1 number so instead of 13 it was sent to 14. I notified once i noticed it was wrong. But although the reply was speedy, they notified me it cant be changed now. But basically went straight to they can give a refund or they can send it again but i will just need to repay the shipping again. Which is fine, but i felt like there was no real attempt to help but rather a feel of toughies if you really want it just pay again the shipping. Although i have probably spent more than 500 dollars worth of products from Sportec. And i am sure they could just sent it again at my cost even tho I was at fault knowing i most likely would buy from them again and recommend their efforts and service to family and friends. But they prefer to go straight to charge me extra for the delivery to resend it just for 12 dollars or whatever it was. But yeah otherwise happy with them. Just don't expect much symphony for loyal regular customers even over small things.

I visited almost at closing time, was promptly seen and offered a solution on the spot which very affordable and environmentally friendly. Many thanks!

Successfully diagnosed the issue with my pc and put in some new parts for me without any labour cost, I will be back here in the future for any pc needs as they were very helpful

Very Helpful staff, very knowledgeable.

Worst retail experience ever. I bought a new ready to play PC from scorptec and when I picked it up it didn’t work. I took it back and was told it would be looked at the following Monday. Well a week after Monday I finally get a notification saying ready for pickup and was told that my problem with the pc crashing was fixed. After taking it home and powering up, the PC still crashes and the problem hasn’t been fixed. I’ve spent a fair bit of money on travel and time driving out to Macquarie park and have missed out on some work commitments due to not having a computer. I’ve also been hung up on multiple times when trying to contact the store about my PC.

Friendly staff, quick service. Good prices as well. They also have a range of mechanical keyboards and accessories. Never heard of them before, but very close to IT area of Macquarie park so that is a bonus.

Great Service, friendly staff. Plenty of PC parts in stock. Highly recommend.

Thank god for fair trading. Scorptec tried so hard not to honour their product warranty until fair trading stepped in.

Fast and reliable service

at the front desk was very rude and asked why i have an attitude after he sold my son a usb for $400 i know this is not the real price as i have looked online

10x better than those Silverwater nerds.

Was fine buying from the store but took item in for warranty they held it for 3 weeks before even sending it off to be tested and when I rang couldn’t give me a date just that it’s now with the tester also when I took the item in originally the person at the counter said they usually take two weeks to be finished on warranty, wouldn’t buy from here buy from a store that cares more about customers after they have sold you the item not only when you give them money.

Awesome customer service.Great place to do business.

Absolutely top notch service. Josh and James replaced a dead AIO (within warranty), with reinstall into a new chassis + cable management for good price. Fast service as well

Great customer service. Ordered a gaming Pc to be built by these guys and I’m very happy. Pick and pay these guys to build it

No cash sales available, totally cashless. Useless if a blackout occurs.

My trusted go-to place for any computer related stuffs. And they prepare the orders pretty quickly too.

Mixed emotions. One guy was friendly and helpful but two others were plain rude. They have a weird setup too where it appears like you can walk around to view products but you get promptly told off if you do

Really great service. They helped me identify and fix an issue in my personal pc over a couple of days. They were also kind enough to help me in carrying my pc to and from my car because I was unable to.

Easy to deal with and the PC is great quality

Good service, knowledgeable staff and competitive prices.

Great service and great team

Really fast delivery and everything was so well packaged. Very happy with the service!

Great service. The staff will take time to assist with your needs.

Technician Tom is incredible; patience of a saint and is really knowledgeable on building PCs.

Scorptec have a great range of computer products which you can check on their website. Very convenient if you’re near North Ryde. Off street parking at the front door. How good is Scorptec!

Gadget lovers and geeks will love this place.

Highly rate Scorptec and the guys in store. Recently purchased a monitor online but with issues I brought it in for testing. Straight away they were happy to plug it in and discover what my issue was. Within 15 minutes I walked out with a replacement monitor and easy and welcoming experience. Big smiles here and will be buying through these guys again!

Extremely frustrating experience trying to get a warranty on a defective graphics card. Will not be purchasing from again.

Good place helpful staff. 😌

Kevin was very informative and kind. Definitely will come back and will be referring to friends and family
