Excellent place and restaurant

We recently held a Celebration of Life function at this venue. The team at Bexley RSL went above and beyond our expectation. The compassion and support offered to us was very comforting and caring. All the staff were great to talk and deal with. We have become regular patrons at the premises. I would like to thank the General Manager and his team for being such kind and generous people.

Always a good experience here! Staff is friendly and everything is just easy, as it was again today. The whole club has a real comfortable, warm vibe. The Palace Bistro food is delicious and generous in flavour and size. Menu is well priced. A perfect lunch (or dinner) spot. The Lemon Chicken is divine. The fish cocktails are chunky and the roast of the day is always a winner.

Busy club, went on a night where there was trivia, raffles and a live band. The food at the Palace bistro was good value, generous portions and priced like club meals used to be. It did take a long time for the food to come out so I will dine again on a quieter night

Went there for the first time. Prices were reasonable however its your typical Chinese food and roast, etc. I ordered the lamb shank took a while to get, and when I finally got it, the middle was cold and uncooked. Got a refund, won't eat that again. The roast pork portion is great but a little tough. They need to improve on their mashed potatoes. It was 1 ice cream scoop portion, and it tasted mediocre. It's an ok venue, little outdated furniture, and definitely a local place to go for the aged. Could not find a kid friendly area and parking is limited.

Went there for lunch on a Sunday. Service was OK. Chinese menu was good. Food was OK. I'm always a bit disappointed when main meals don't come out at once. Beer with a membership was cheap, without, was pretty expensive for a RSL.

Absolutely amazing service, the food was great and very cheap for quality! Nothing bad to say. Look out for a person named “Gwyenn” nicest person you will meet there.

The current Manager is a disgrace to the kids with learning difficulties, I went there to donate money to the Learning Links Charity BUT he basically insisted that he doesn't believe that his club should waste their time making money for a good cause, I was flabbergasted with his intent for these poor kids with difficulties, never again will I go back to his club, I think the board of directors need a new Manager, I wouldn't be surprised if the current Manager is against the old Diggers who made this country what it is today, Shame on the Manager.

Great venue! Ryan, one of the staff members, was super friendly, attentive and hard working! His almond chai latte and hot chocolate were spot on!

Food 8s ok, the coffee absolutely rubbish waste of money.

The Palace Bistro is a gem. Great food, great prices, and fast friendly service. The surroundings are a bit outdated, and the atmosphere is a bit gloomy because there are no windows, but the superb value of the meals makes up for it.

For an RSL these meals were great

Food at the bistro was absolutely delicious and great sized portions will definitely be back soon .. Honey chicken and mushroom omelette both come with a side serving of rice either boiled or fried your choice and priced well

Sizzling Mongolian lamb dish was awesome. Nice staff. Definitely a comfortable place for a beer and feed. Family friendly and easy on the hip pocket. Will definitely be back.

Bexley RSL & Community Club is our local club in the heart of Bexley. It is our best little club with gr8 amenities. It has a nice bistro, gr8 respectful staff, a beautiful restaurant. Good food, gr8 value. Nice desserts. The prices r more than reasonable. If u go 2 dine there, u won't be disappointed. The bistro closes at 21.30 pm on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights. It is open til 2 a.m on Friday & Saturday nights. Bexley RSL & Community Club has its own carpark so it's very convenient 2 go there. It also has 3 tables for pool & snooker. U can go & play Bingo on Mondays & also play Poker in the weekend. It also has disabled parking 2. Bexley RSL & Community Club also has a courtesy bus 4 pick up & drop off 2 the club & also from the club 4 a small fee. U don't have 2 drink & drive. U r safe bcos of the running of the courtesy bus.

Great food, staff and facilities.

Overall it was excellent it has changed so much since 1995 that was the last time I went to this RSL I will be back there again for sure.

The meal I had was a nice lunch. It was light and filling. Very enjoyable!

Friendly staff and patrons. Good beer at better than reasonable prices. Raffles and the usual RSL entertainment. I joined on the spot!

A huge thanks to the management, restaurant and staff of Bexley RSL for what can only be described as an amazingly successful 80th birthday celebration for my father. Every single interaction with the management, restaurant and staff was first class . We felt through the whole process that we were given impeccable service. The night itself was a huge success and that was only enhanced by the attention to detail and staff going over and beyond our expectations. From the attentive service including checking ambiance , lighting and A/C throughout the night exceptional bar and wait service . Jayson and the catering was also perfection. The food was tasty and in abundance. Jayson also assisted us with so many little extra things like cake service and packing the leftover food , from the initial planning through to the end his service was exceptional and was another highlight to our experience. Our guests have inundated us with compliments on the venue, the food and more importantly how fantastic and professional the staff were . There were so many little things that they did that went over and beyond what is expected, and they should be highly commended. Having an event can often be stressful and many things can go wrong, however thanks to everyone we interacted with and the truly professional, friendly, and overly accommodating efforts from you all we had an amazing night that was a huge success . Thank you all so very much .

The Chinese food is amazing... A hidden gem

When an elderly patron arrived at our group’s table to let us know we were having ‘too much fun’, I admit I had to agree. This place is just what the doctor ordered…friendly bar staff, quick service in the bistro and a charming alfresco gaming area buzzing with a feeling that anybody could win big. Absolutely worth the 1 hour and 45 minutes it took me to get there. (Try the prawn crackers!)

When I walked in the door I said to myself in my head wow this is just what the doctor ordered because from the moment I was in there I thought it was quite good the beers were nice and the people pouring them were also nice I had a well priced meal which I could enjoy and I burned my mouth very very badly I have put some bonjela on my sores but so far nothing seems to help i even got a vitamin infusion to try and remedy the problem but so far no luck pokies here are good I got a lot of features way more than I normally do and saw a epic baby yodel shirt

Run of the mill rsl club. A bar and bistro commensurate to our needs. An excellent array of Chinese fare with prompt service. Some curried sausages and a sizzling beef were enjoyed by many. Fresh blue lagoons which were jsut what the dr ordered. I do raise issue with my friends and I being labelled the ‘windex boys’ for our choice of beverage but I’m not here to comment on the patrons of this fine establishment .
