Cheap drinks 🤜🤛

How golf should be. Relaxed public course trying to be a good community member and resource. Good food from the kitchen, reasonable prices and friendly staff behind the bar. The course itself is in great shape currently and remains deceptively challenging. Plenty of parking though you may struggle to get closer to the club house on busy days.

Perfect spot for a weekend beverage with friends. The location near the river is stunning. Burgers and chips are tasty

Good club with a long history but on the verge of being rundown. I went there on a warm day and the aircon was off inside- very uncomfortable. Tables and chairs outside is a nice addition to boost business. I hope this club is fighting for Marrickville Golf Course to not lose 9 holes of their course to development.

Better signage recommended to navigate to the pro shop, tee boxes need a bit of work.

So much character. This course is worth a try for all skill levels. It's a little rough but layout and views are great.

Yum food!

Lovely. Food, great bar staff.

Great food, old world charm

Great social golf course! Chilled out staff and friendly fellow golfers.

Great food, great vibes. Cheap drinks!!! What more could you want.

Nice little golf course. Some hard patches here and there but overal well maintained. Nice family friendly atmosphere. Greens are a but hit and miss. Mainly miss actually. Usually not too busy. Reasonably priced especially compared to the private clubs.

Easy access to clubhouse with food and drinks alfresco nearby .

Fun place for a casual round of golf

Played disc golf here today. Started with lunch at the club house. Food was excellent and swift out of the kitchen. Generous portions and a brilliant outdoor area! The disc golf course was fantastic! It's certainly an advanced disc golf course. A long course that demands gap hits, touch, shaped shots and driving power. Well worth the membership fees. Value for money!

Rustic, nice. I like it because it’s not a flashy course or clubhouse. The pro there, Kylie, is great, as is her pro shop. I’ve had several lessons with her & really enjoyed them. And local residents do wander through the course sometimes.

I ordered the fries with aoli and the sardines. Fries were good but the sardines came out on a small plate in a tin, no bread. Really? $12 for an ordinary size tin of sardines with no bread 👎👎

Great place for walking dogs

Classic marrickville golf club. Decent sized holes biggest are par 4s

Enjoyed playing this parkland style golf course. A challenging course on a number of holes where you are required to either hit through a narrow chute or over a steep raising fairway. These features added to the overall challenge and enjoyment of playing this par 60 course. Unfortunately, the fairways were only in average condition and the greens are currently in a poor condition. Once these are corrected, this would be a fun course to play. The practice facilities consisted of a putting green and practice nets.

Nice handy golf ⛳️ course for a hit out!!!!

This Golf Course Club House has a General Manager who is very disrespectful to say the least. He saw me getting a Corona at the Clubhouse and approached me to accuse me that I was suspicious and abnormal because I come to the Clubhouse alone most of the time, which is ridiculous, unacceptable, offensive, inappropriate and an unprofessional comment to make to a customer. The bartender opened the Corona but I told the crooked Manager that I was not going to consume the drink because I found his conversation with me to be deeply disturbing, disgusting, disrespectful, uncomfortable, unprofessional and unnecessary. I also felt unsafe in his presence since he was seething with anger and I thought this man could possibly become physically violent towards me so I told them I was leaving without consuming their drink. He further mentioned that he DID NOT WANT ME TO COME TO THE CLUBHOUSE. The fact that he can blatantly and bluntly tell me that I AM NOT WELCOME TO THE CLUBHOUSE proves that HE segregates against people of colour! This clubhouse is the same as the apartheid regime of South Africa which established residential and business sections in urban areas for each race, and members of other races were barred from living, dining, drinking, operating businesses, or owning land in them. I believe that this clubhouse practices segregation of people of colour and if you are a person of colour please avoid this clubhouse to avoid any unpleasant experiences. Thank you.

Probably one of the worst courses I've played on. Don't even think about playing here if it has rained as a lot of the fairways become practically unplayable as they turn into a lake... Interesting layout, but can be a bit dangerous on the 17th hole where you tee off towards people walking through the parklands. Decent clubhouse/outdoor area, probably only worth coming for beers & food.

Great budget course, fantastic for beginners being a 60par, no par 5 course. Course condition is improving from a year + ago, greens are decent. Clubhouse has a nice menu and even better beer

Great course to play. It's a family memorial day for my uncle who passed. Th foods amazing drinks well priced n while it looks tiny it can hold bout 200 people. Jus don't hit someone walking on th Georges river walking track with your slice

Food is very good.

Great family style, friendly club

Friendly service. Busy Saturday evening - lots of young families for an early evening dinner location. A play area is available for young children. Bistro overlooks the golf course. Excellent steak frites... The sauce is tasty & is in my opinion, what makes this dish. Was cooked as per request (medium rare). If you enjoy a good steak, you won't be disappointed.

First time playing golf, had an absolute blast. Beautiful course during twilight hours paired with well priced cold beers! No doubt will be back.

Excellent food and drinks. Great bar staff very friendly staff with excellent customer service. Highly recommend!!!

Food and beer here today was excellent 🙂

Always great

Delicious meal at the bistro, few great vegetarian options and a great option for a family dinner with a fun play space for little ones and good kids food options. They need to invest in a few more high chairs.

不错的球场,虽然迷路了。

Well maintained public course, which has a variety of challenging holes. Always a fun round of 9 with mates.

They gotta really look after there greens . Very disappointing. Esp paying $30 for a game and $25 for a buggy you would think they would look after the greens .

Good golf club, but no kitchen. Ridiculous

The Danny's special pizza is so good

Not the best, but also not the worst. If you’re looking to go play a chill 18 then this is your place. The course has seen better days, but I still enjoy going out for a hit every once in while. There price is value and the beer is always cold. I guess that’s all you can really ask for, right? I’ll continue to play here.

Food is the best 👌

Nice little club

The directions that was given took to the other side of the golf course was not happy

Paid $35 for 18 holes and $5 for a cart, played 4 holes and had to wait an ever increasing amount of time due to the slow play upfront. Whilst waiting at the 5th hole I could see 3 groups in front of me waiting, 2 of them in buggies. After waiting so long, the two buggies then left, I assumed to go to the back 9 or go home. I waited some more before heading back to the pro shop, the guy said he’d give me a voucher for another time. Nothing ever came through. Not the best service. Don’t think I’ll be back again now

Very reasonable round of golf, with lovely staff in the pro shop and bar. Course is in ok nick, with the greens needing a bit of love, but great place to practice and grab a cold one

Loved it. Great food and atmosphere

Very reasonably priced. 14 out 1’8 greens needed cutting rolling etc. 4 Greens were not worthy of the name and basically unplayable. The fairways in many areas looked like “tank manoeuvres” had taken place there.

Delicious lunch, great view and friendly atmosphere! Thanks Sam, Caterina & Linda

Great Italian 🤌🏻

Great food with very friendly service at a very reasonable price in a great setting with views of the golf course.

Yes, it’s not the greatest golf course in Sydney. However the staff are all helpful and it’s a relaxed atmosphere for all. Casual golf with a good opportunity to improve your iron play. Recommended.

The food is just the best, lunch or dinner

I don't play Golf so no idea about the sport, but this place has the best food in the area especially pizzas.

Beautiful ground for walking for exercise for photography views it’s all amazing.

Down at heel but very much a good feeling all round. Cna sit on the deck and watch sunset over cooks river in all its glory.

It's in the middle of works, but the course is still fun and picturesque

Honestly the worst corse I have ever played at. The greens are in absolutely awful condition with barely any grass on them. Half of the greens where closed and the other half of the greens where closed and just had a flag planted in the middle of the fairway. Will not be coming back

Nice course. Currently work being done, but still a nice place to play.

Unplayable. Greens have a disease, none are worth putting on. Pretty poorly maintained all round. A shame as it really used to be a reasonable 18 holes

Probably the worst course I've played on. The greens are all sorts of messed up and the fairways were often not mowed or contained rocky patches. See photos. It's one thing to make the course challenging by punishing players for missing the fairways but another matter altogether challenging players by not maintaining the course properly.

Played 18 holes 11 December, most of the greens of front 9 need maintenance, with metres square on a number with no turf at all. After all the rain fairways and bunkers with the exception being the fairway on the 13th if you hit your tee shot right or hit a patch where the water has move right to left and into the Cook river. Club was opened for drinks when my 4 ball finished after 6pm which is all positive. By comparison after 18 at Mona Vale a week prior, after 6pm club house locked, toilets locked.

Great food, great people and fantastic golfing

Course needs some maintenance. But damn is the service amazing. Food in the club house is bloody good too! Love this course, real gem of the inner west

Great place for a work party! Old school club house with a classic club menu! Good wedges and the have spag bol!

We had a great time.

Excellent everything

We ordered pasta from the restaurant. Lovely service and delicious food.

A great public golf club, front 9 start with some great holes on the flat section, but I'm not a huge fan of the hill as you can't see the green from the tee box on several holes. Still come here often for a great, well maintained course and happy helpful staff

Nice community club great spot for a break when walking along the cooks river

Beautiful course and beer gets delivered on a buggy. What more do you need.

a public golf course. crowded today
