exceptional views, friendly helpful staff, and great food at great prices!

Lovely little open air coffee shop right on beach. Took the kids to play ok n beach then walked in for lunch. Lots of parking close by. Good hot food and sweets, good coffee, little pricey. The club has upstairs bar and grill and serves hot meals. I have dinner there often and they have great seafood and salads and snitzels, big portions, not expensive, good service. Great views over the bay too. Lots of parking onsite.

They’ve really stuffed up the place. Used to look really bright and open but now they put up 2 function rooms with a thick brown wall on the outside blocking all the natural light into the bar area. My chicken schnitzel was bland.

Food was okay 7out of 10 but the club is very run down, i think the decor hasn't changed since the 90ish.

WOW WOW WOW CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH What a wonderful way to spend Christmas Day GRSC really put on a fantastic event for all the family. There was amazing entertainment/entertainers who put on a great show. Singers, musicians, Christmas characters and Santa went to every table posing for photos - even at 55 & 77 it was great to get a photo with Santa! The buffet was great, beautiful prawns, oysters, balmain bugs, seafood salads and a vast range of side dishes. There was a hot carvery section with all the traditional Christmas favourites, hot ham, roast chicken, pork, roast beef’s with a selection of vegetables to choose from. There was dessert tables had all sorts of cakes, tarts, pavlova and even a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit and marshmallows ready for dipping. Tea and coffee was a great wrap up to a fantastic day. Before we left, there was a Photo One selfie machine set up so we could take some festive snaps to take home. The GRSC really put on a great day for everyone to enjoy. We will be back again next Christmas!

Georges River 16ft Sailing Club has outdone itself with their Christmas Day Buffet. Staff exceptional, décor beautiful, food a wonderful choice from a delicious buffet where saving the best to last was so true with the amazing choice of desserts. Dom did a special job leading the team.

We went to the Christmas day Lunch buffet. It was fabulous in every way. The food was all delicious and everything you could wish for. The entertainment was 1st class. So enjoyable. They had Santa photos. A photo booth for taking family photos. They had the latest coffee machines to help yourself. The staff were amazing. Whoever was in charge of planning this event deserves so much praise. Everyone was allotted a car space for easy parking. They thought of everything. Congratulations on a great day. Thank you 😍

Great experience on a Sunday lunch. Club was packed but the food was fresh and surprisingly good - all 5 of our group enjoyed our meals. Friendly service too!

This used to be our favourite place to meet for family lunches and catch ups. Today we visited and were surprised at the changes, including the walled off areas to make way for functions, which effectively cut off the surrounding views and the open feel it formerly had. The three of us ate in the bistro with all the other dining patrons crammed into a tiny space against the windows, presumably to reduce the area that staff needed to service. The amount of empty space being unutilised mocked us. Hence our gathering over lunch was noisy and crowded. We could barely hear one another over the concentration of noise coming from the condensed groups of people. The food was substandard and I couldn't eat my meal of salad with chicken. The tomato was powdery and flavourless, lettuce transparent and soggy. Grilled chicken over cooked. And feta was served as one slimy slab sitting on top. My husbands plate was cleared away when he stepped away momentarily to take a phone call, and the waiter was so quick about it and didn't ask if the meal had been finished. My husband returned to the table and was extremely disappointed as he'd not finished eating. Overall the entire experience was extremely disappointing and we won't be returning. The atmosphere and food were substandard.

The team was incredibly accommodating and professional, taking care of every detail, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Shoutout to staff members Geordie and Marcus for ensuring we had an incredible birthday dining experience!

Had lunch here with friends, I ordered whole lemon sole with salad. It was disappointing, tasted bland, fish was half cooked, still got its gut inside. Overall It was a waste of money. One of my friends ordered coffee, she said it was lukewarm so she took it back and was replaced with same lukewarm coffee. Won't there again

We had booked in quite a large party for an occasion today. The food was very mediocre for the price the club charges. One of the staff memeber whos name is Tiana was super helpful and accomodating but when our food was coming out the other waiters were extremely rude, condescending & disrespectful. The table numbers had been mixed up during out order as we were spread across 3 tables and when i tried to explain it, i was met with attitude & disrespect. Once the food was left at one of the tables they came back to say it was for the other table when i had already explained the 2 other tables food had all arrived. The only reason i an giving 2 is because Tiana was super helpful & understanding, otherwise i would give 1 Star. Do not retain staff if they don't wish to be there

Decent coffee lovely view but unfortunately it’s very noisy as it got concrete floors. Services leaves a little bit desired.

We recently held our son’s birthday and christening here it was a beautiful venue, the food was amazing and the staff were beyond helpful!! Special mention to Dom the venue manager and his team they were AMAZING Can’t thank you enough for your kind hospitality we will definitely be back 😊

Recently had a function here. Staff were attentive and amazing to deal with, food was delicious and the view was spectacular. Looking forward to organising another function here soon.

Georges River Sailing Club is absolutely the most STUNNING venue for any event. The water views are an amazing highlight that create a tropical island atmosphere. The food was delicious! High commendation to Hannah the Manager who was delightfully professional, friendly and catered to our every need. I will be back!

We Have our mum memorial today 29/09/2024 at George River 16tf Sailing Club. We have a river seafood platers it was very nice and beautiful presentation,the staff Was very friendly and professional. Thanks you Dominic and all staff for providing a great service. All my guest was very happy. It’s a nice place to have a celebration with family and friends. We all loved ❤️

Worse food ever! We had a table of ten and had to send the food back! Trust me don’t go to that place. The service is appalling

This place has massively improved since the takeover. It now boasts a renovated interior and very tasty food and amazing coffee whilst admiring the seaview. . They run some amazing food specials which means it gets very busy. No need to go elsewhere if you are in area.

On Father’s Day, we had the pleasure of eating at the 16 ft sailing club. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was spectacular, all the wait staff were very polite and attentive. The view in the new eatery is absolutely beautiful. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

A wonderful experience with delicious food and a gorgeous view. The food and bar staff were all friendly - I recommend this for large groups as there was plenty of space

Not enough staff on and young with attitude

What a joke this place has become. Terrible food, terrible drinks, terrible staff. Don’t bother. ICC is a joke. Honestly it’s laughable how bad it is.

Went to this club tonight. Horrible… food was shocking. The bartender was shocking , yelled at my father in law in the middle of the club while trying to be polite. Paid $220 for a horrible dinner , the team leader Sophia and bartender Dominic needs to be sacked.

Extremely bad customer service at this place !!! Was buying drinks at the bar and the girl was being extremely rude, giving us a hard time about not having the right membership (we had a temporary card given to us by the front desk !!! who told us to use it), she took a phone call while serving us, and then purposely overcharged us. She charged us for expensive wines, ones we didn’t order, when I let her know that wasn’t what I ordered she put the refund through not even saying sorry or anything, it was not by accident. Her badge also said “team leader”, she certainly was not showing good leadership 👎👎

Kiss the barista is a gem with an awesome bay view. Take a stroll and enjoy their treats with a coffee our place to relax.

I would like to thank Hannah and her team for a memorial we held at the club on Tuesday. The day was made extra special by the attention given to detail. The food was magnificent and the room set-up just as requested. Once again thanks, a day to remember.

Ordered the cos salad today with chicken. It came without the chicken they forgot or the egg. Poor service

Very very unhappy! My girlfriend and I ordered lunch and I asked for no poached eggs on my food. I then asked if it would be cheaper as the smashed avo was $28. I than asked if I can have smoked salmon and pay extra as an alternative. I was charged still $28+$8 for my smoked salmon still with no poached eggs. My girlfriend got her food and her scrambled eggs were cold. We also had a hair in our coffee. We than asked the waitress if we can please have a new coffee. 5 minutes later they proceeded to give us the same coffee with the hair inside. This place really should be shut down! Extreme bad service and extremely bad quality food

The staff are very friendly and the view is fantastic, Food was not so great, Ordered the crackling pork and it was flacid and rubbery, there was absolutely nothing crispy about it, the steak was completely dry and the accompanying sauce was tasteless and salty, the mash underneath was cold too. Unfortunately will not be going back there after this experience.

Seafood dishes were poor.

Dissapointing food. Entree size mains (the Seafood Pie and the Ragout). It was a mistake coming here, I thought it had improved with new ownership and a new menu. I was wrong. Nice location but I should have eaten elsewhere. No complaints about the staff, they were fine.

I am still angry from my experience there today, after enjoying a very pleasant lunch with my friends, l noticed some signage on the back of the lavatory door about the specials for the day. I was so disappointed that this was not displayed anywhere else, so after questioning the staff member that served us, was told he doesn't get paid enough to take complaints and he also told us we couldn't talk to the manager as he was out to lunch. I guess the thing that upset me the most was one of my friends ordered the schnitzel which was on the specials menu and wasn't asked if they wanted the one from set menu or specials. Bye the way we were all seniors and pensioners. Most disappointed 😞 😪 😒 😔

The food is extremely ordinary. I go to the club each week for lunch with my mates. They eat there and I just have a drink with them. I've tried everything on the menu over the past 4 years and nothing is up to standard. Rubbish, their sausages and mash were despicable to even look at. Australian's 3 favourite eatery meals are... 1. Snitty 2. Bangers and Mash. 3. Calamari looks like it was deep fried in the 1960's at an old fashion fish and chips shop. If it was done well, it could be regarded as trendy. Seriously, the Manager Steve (who is a nice guy) should do his homework and provide quality meals at affordable prices. The St George Sailing Club is booming. (its operated by the Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club.) Theire website said they have an executive chef who designs their meals.The staff are mainly young and care about their customers. It shows. I'd like to see 2 great Clubs competing for our business. It will improve the overall business for both clubs. PS. Maybe you need to change the name of the Georges River 16ft Sailing Club. (its too big a mouth full) People always get the two clubs mixed up. Which is a pain when you're waiting for them at the other club. I'm available to facilitate a Brainstorming Session with members if you like to obtain a new brand name that works. (Yes, I would charge a fraction of my normal fee for this service) Truly, I'm not chasing the work. Just want to see the Club blossom.

MAY 2024 - we are long time locals of GRSC. The food is honestly laughable. I can’t even begin to describe how terrible it is. Red wine jus with schnitzel anyone? No mash with your $64 steak? And it is digesting and inedible, no matter what you order. Staff only allowed to eat burgers and schnitzels, so they can’t advise what is good and what isn’t. It’s such a shame what ICC have done to this place. Thank goodness they left the snooker room. We’ve been coming here as a family for over 40 years, now we eat elsewhere and only pop in after our dinner for drinks and some snooker. ICC ruined this once great club, it’s very sad

We had lunch here on the weekend. The service and good were pretty good. Prices are a bit steep if you're not a member but as membership costs only a few dollars it's a good incentive to join.

Great staff. Loving the renovations. Just wish you would get veg and chips included in your chosen meal instead of having to buy as side dish.

We came here for Orthodox Easter and had a lovely time. The food far exceeded our expectations, it was delicious and we can highly recommend the lamb shoulder and Moussaka. The staff were friendly and offered incredible customer service. They had Dora D performing who was also fabulous. We would highly recommend.

Ate at the bistro last Friday night . Four people , four different meals and simply very ordinary . Embarrassing to say the least . So disappointed.

Had the privilege to be a wedding photographer for a lovely couple recently who had their ceremony out the front of the sailing club and the reception inside. Great venue offering amazing food and the staff where just incredible.

Will not go back there. The food was appalling. We had an entree of calamari, which was extremely oily. For main we had the Seafood Risotto and Crispy skin Barramundi. Well, there was no crispy skin on the fish, the vegetables were horrible, the clams were tough and there was shell I crunched on in the sauce. The Risotto was the same, overcooked tough seafood and shell in the sauce. This is simply not exceptable.

Have been several times for a meal, attended a function last night and the function room was perfect, nothing was a problem to organise. The staff are very friendly and professional. Only downside is no table service so guests have to go to the bar to get their drinks. The food was great, mains were really generous portions. Would highly recommend as a party venue.
