Nice, friendly, helpful ,very efficient staff, service with a smile ,delicious food, good portion size, dining area clean good variety of German BEEEERRS ,really enjoyed my Sunday lunch experience ,we will be back soon.keep up the good work.
Great German food in an unassuming environment. Love to see authentic German offerings without the whole “Oktoberfest” vibe. The menu is classic German dishes served with generous helpings. If you’re not a big eater be sure to bring a take away container for lunch the next day. German beers available. Can definitely recommend this club.
Not a bad club, but understaffed and a little disorganised. Food is ok
No need to write anything other than YOU MUST GO!!! Insane beers and insane food!!
Excellent atmosphere
The food took an hour and was cold. Do not waste your time eating here. You would do better eating from a jar or a bin. Even the free schnapps they offered us as an apology was petrol based and should only be used for cleaning car tyres.
Home favourite, and great place for families to chill and kids are safe to play outside too.
Great food , amazing food choices for German food love it.
If you are going to eat the pork knuckle (and why wouldn't you - you're at the German Club), make sure you miss the previous meal. If lunching, skip breakfast. If enjoying an evening repast, ensure that you have not eaten lunch. With the pork knuckle, it's all about planning. The organisation at The Concordia is very precise, very German. It's a great place to relax on a sunny afternoon, letting the kids run around on the grass.
Visited on Saturday night, my 1st time. Felt like I had stepped back in time in a wonderful way..What a great atmosphere, all the staff were welcoming and very friendly, even the people at the next table chatted away with us, food was lovely and filling, even managed to be talked into having some Strudel 🤣 To top it off we had sing a long German Christmas Carols.. Over all a most enjoyable night.. Definitely will be back..😁😁😁
Gutes Essen
What is not to love
Legendary pork knuckle and equally legendary service. Highly recommend the limited oktoberfest beer
Good food, friendly place. Surrounded by beautiful green Cooks River Croquet Lawns.
Very outdated environment. Plastic furniture. Food average. Staff flat. Good location.
海鮮盤及烤豬腳真的很有德國風味!皮脆又不鹹又好吃,值得推薦。僑居紐澳共二十多年,這家德國豬腳是我吃過最好吃的!
Easy parking. Pleasant dining room, plenty of space, food that I had was OK, not all great. Didnt have the German specialties this time. Very good beer
The staff are very friendly and efficient. The same can be said about their restaurant too. We had a group of over 30 people, aged between 10 and 60. Not one of us had a bad thing to comment about the food.
If you love German food give this place a go. Massive knuckle with red cabbage and mash. German sausages. German beer on tap.
A unique experience - very busy place on the weekends so a bit of wait on the food but very well worth it. Pork hock, sausages with mash and saurkraut all on point.
It’s been awhile since I eaten here, and I tell you the truth nothing has changed it’s still has amazing food and beer. The pork knuckle with red cabbage and mashed potato, the cherry ricotta strudel were delicious. Washed it down with a pint of Dunkel beer. Definitely worth the money. Coming back with a group to Oktoberfest.
Went on a Friday night. Got there early at 530pm to avoid the rush. We ordered the pork knuckle, and contrary to what a lot of other reviewers say, it's definitely not huge and not enough for 2 people to share. I guess it depends on how hungry you are and what your interpretation of huge is, but between my boyfriend and I, we were still hungry afterwards. The only disappointment was the kitchen had no apple strudel, which was what we were looking forward to for dessert. Nevertheless, the cakes in the display cabinet made up for that. I ended up buying a box to take home. Overall, it's a nice place and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
First of all I want to praise the service! All the waiters (whether at the bar, front desk, or in the kitchen) are very friendly! They don't treat me differently because I'm not German or Australian, which touched me a lot. Secondly, all the food tastes very good, the sausages are especially delicious, and the music atmosphere is also good! In short, this is a great restaurant! Recommended!
Lovely mixed, including family atmosphere. Good service and good food including cakes (some German specialities) and excellent selection of German beers.
Rude management, best to avoid
Positive Loved the Pork knuckle with red cabbage and mashed potato. Friend thoroughly enjoyed the chicken schnitzel with saurcraut. Negative It aint cheap, and if you have a beer as well, you will blow your dough pretty quickly. You will need to book as it gets very busy, especially on Sunday, with live entertainment being a piano accordian playing favourites that get all ages up on the floor. We arrived with no booking and got accommodated on the end of someone elses table and ended up being a better experience for it because we sparked up conversations with some Hungarian ladies who were very friendly and enjoyed having a dance.
Available parking, good atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food and beers.
Pros: Charming club Casual indoor and outside seating Huge variety of German beers and beverages Kransky was delicious! Cons: Food was bland Couple of the sides tasted old
Generous portions, kitchen busy with food coming out slower than expected
The staff were beautiful. And the Bartender was beautiful and explained our drinks eloquently. However, there was a mean lady walking around and making me feel like I was in the 80s school classroom. I admit, I do have a loud laugh, but she asked us to keep quiet. In a space that had 50 other people talking amongst themselves and having fun. It was a bit bizarre. It seems like she was doing the same thing to other tables. I have never been at a bar where I was told to be quiet, so I would have to say this is not a place to hang out and have fun. Quiet 'fun' more like it. If you want a German feed, sure, why not? But, don't expect to have a fun hangout at this place which ends at 8:55pm on a Friday night.
Had a great German meal of Pork knuckle, trio of sausage and Beef Roulade. Chef Nick and his team doing a fantastic job. Friendly atmosphere and great place to meet friends and family
Awesome food, beers and service!!
German Concordia Club - great time had by all 😊
Great food plenty of it and good service. Well worth a visit
Super hot pork knuckle, lovely welcoming environment. Lots of fun with friends.
Traditional German and Austrian food, huge selection of beers and schnapps, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. What more could you want?
Delicious food with a warm friendly atmosphere. Great place to have lunch with friends and family.
I adore the Concordia Club. If you are looking for the best pork knuckle outside of Germany look no further! No frills here, but who needs them when you are greeted at the door by a friendly German countryman and can finish your meal with an authentic cherry strudel!
The volunteers are friendly and very enthusiastic especially about heritage and history of the club. Was disappointed in the food. Basically traditional but heavy and not much flavour.
Highly recommended!
Delicious German food, what else is there to say...?
Weekend magic with the Germans, great food, lovely shave for family and friends to get together all year round!
Jaeger (mushroom) sauce is terrible (and so are the other sauces on the menu), and so are the chips on the side. Bar staff are untrained and do not know how to pull a beer properly, which is a waste of good, imported German beer. Schnitzels are good, but let down by the mediocrity of side dishes (ie yucky mashed potatoes or chips, bland salad). Kid's spaetzle (pasta) was decent.
Staff are rude
Had a nice German feed
One of our favourite restaurants. A good place for a family night out or meeting with friends for chat and drinks. Generous servings of authentic German cuisine, good German imported beers.
Old school charm. The way clubs and pubs used to be. Good selection of food suitable for sub zero climate working on the farm. Excellent beer selection. A charming, comfortable place to spend a lazy afternoon. Highly recommended
Confronted by the grumpy guy at the front desk, (please make sure he stays as he fits in really well) My friends and I really loved the old fashioned atmosphere, the piano accordion player, the fabulous authentic German cuisine, German imported beer and cakes to die for. A great night out, only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and enhanced by the super friendly and efficient volunteer staff. PORK KNUCKLE a must
Best roast pork knuckle in Sydney!
wait for keassler more than 1 hurs. thank you not to come again.
Delicious
Super duper delish german food fix and the apple strudel with ice cream is a must!
Great fun! Like taking a step back to the good ol' days
Authentic German Club, beers and pork knuckles. Great atmosphere, live music and very friendly staff. I would encourage you to stay open a little longer.
Beautiful food, large range and large servings. Can’t believe the great service and outside relaxing seating. Was great for the birthday I just attended last Saturday. Thanks heaps
Good German beer. Very average food and poor service. Could be so much better.
Great place for a homey German feed. We came on the weekend and it was packed so booking is a must. The food we order was so delicious and big servings sizes. Don't forget the cake and pastries before you leave. The 3 berry tart we had was the perfect finish to a great meal. Also there are jams and other German products to buy. The staff are really friendly as well.
Good beer as expected but the food and service were very ordinary.
Half of our table didn't receive food despite asking the wait staff several times about its progress. Over 2 hours later we're told the kitchen is closed and that we'll receive a refund. Totally disorganised. Food that did make it out didn't live up to the hype.
Quite interesting
Brilliant place to have a good meal and German beer. The only authentic German place around.
Love the club but have to stop going Sundays. Music unbearably loud
I was a little nervous coming here for the first time after reading some recent reviews about staff friendliness, and the food being bland. I’m scratching my head as to how they could have been written? My partner and I (who are not German!) had the warmest, friendliest welcome from the ladies at the front desk. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely phenomenal! Traditional German sausages and pork knuckle, German dumplings, sauerkraut… and great beers on tap. I wish we had a bigger group of people so we could have tried more dishes. Very reasonably priced, they are generous serving sizes. We will definitely be back!
Great food, excellent beer selection. Nice spot to take kids
Nice location. It's as if you're in the country. The food is generous
Friendly staff, but realistically, the food is basic stodge.
The schnitzel and freshly made strudel are worth going for alone. Lovely ladies who man the cakes and small produce tables are always friendly as are all the other staff. A lovely community feel with communal tables.
Plenty of space ,food good, nice environment to eat with children
Wow, what a fantastic experience! I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly welcome from the employees and waitress. It's so refreshing to see that the stereotype of German people being cold is completely shattered here. The Knuckle and Schnitzels were perfect, and the Beef Roulade and Beef Goulash were authentic and unique, even if they weren't quite my taste. And let's not forget about the drinks - the Kotritzer (dark larger) and Bayreuther (hell/light lager) were so refreshing! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and a warm atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
Absolutely phenomenal place. The atmosphere and food were exceptional and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Fine! However, no gluten free beers.
The best food on offer in Sydney with fantastic atmosphere. If you get closed in , there is plenty of room outside to throw a Botchie comp. Beer is cold , desert is great . The German experience is waiting 🍺🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
